[attr="class","capsol"] "Welp, here we are." Hiro said after a moment. Hiro turned to face the Assassin that he had come here with, directly after the train incident. Hiro and Sayha had just used the Call to Home skill, where he would take her into the guild house for the first time. He wanted to show her the place, since she had admitted not too long ago that she had yet to even enter the building. Since she had just recently been brought into the guild, it made sense that she hadn't been inside yet, though it still boggled the mind. The guild house was a free place for everybody in the guild to stay, since there was so much dang room in the Palace. Then again, Buckingham was likely one of the biggest places in the city, aside from maybe a few other places. Since it was made for royalty, it would make sense that there was a lot of space for people to jump in and stay for a while, given the royalty's consent. That being the case, though, he motioned with his head toward the building to Sayha. "Shall we head in?" He said, starting to walk up along the walkway.
Hiro and Sayha had just teleported back from the train that they were going to journey across the Isle of Grain with, since there had been a bit of a complication beforehand. Some of the tracks were damaged, thanks to a bit of water that had happened to splash up onto it in a big wave, and it unsettled some of the gravel underneath, which caused the tracks to collapse. Hiro would need to head back sometime soon in order to help fix it, though mostly for his own purposes to assess the situation with his own eyes, but that didn't need to happen for a little while. In the meantime, he would take Sayha here to the guild house, so she can see what it's like, while having someone she knows there with her. It made sense that she would bit a bit timid with heading into the building on her own, since she hadn't dealt with many other people from the guild for the moment. At least, as far as he knew. All this in mind, though, he would continue up along the path, until eventually they had reached the door. Walking up to it, Hiro grabbed the handle, and opened the door, stepping aside for Sayha to walk in first.
When she eventually did, he followed her up. A few pairs of footwear were at the door, signifying that a few people were there already. He sighed a bit, since he knew that this would mean that there were a few others here, more than likely. That being the case, he looked to Sayha with a smile. "We can take our shoes off here. Kinda like my house, so you know the drill." Hiro took his shoes off, and started to walk up and into the foyer. "Yo, I'm home!" He called out to the building. Usually, there were people who were hanging out nearby, so they'd like hear him. He stretched a little, as he continued. "Not here for very long, maybe an hour or two, before I gotta head back out again." His most recent comment was very quickly followed up by a female walking out and into the foyer.
"Welcome back." The woman said, her voice without much emotion. This samurai was Saeko. one who enjoyed to stay at the house and not do a whole lot. She was making her way toward the kitchen was just nearby, the difference in her height compared to Hiro's obvious. She had stopped herself, though, as she looked and saw the other girl that was standing there. Her interest piqued, she turned to face the girl, looking her over with a very judgmental stare. After sizing up the newcomer, she relaxed her shoulders. Looking to Hiro, she asked. "Who's the new girl?" Her eyes, to an outside viewer, betrayed an aura of uncaring. However, Hiro knew quite well that she was very demanding in knowing who Sayha was. So, Hiro decided to put her on the spot, and just gestured over to the Assassin. Saeko's eyes followed suit, glaring at the new girl.

After Sayha had packed up her things on the train on the Isle of Grain, she had taken Hiro’s had so that his <Call to Home> skill would take them to the Guild House, also known as Buckingham Palace. Sayha had been by the place since she joined the guild, but she never quite worked herself up to actually going inside. Hiro turned to her and asked if they should head in, and Sayha responded in a nod. Hiro and Sayha walked up to the doors, and Hiro held the door open for her. Once she was inside, Hiro followed her inside and closed the door behind them. There were shoes by the entrance, and she guessed that there were a few people around. Hiro explained that it was like his house with the shoe rule, and he took his off. Sayha opted to keep hers on and followed. Hiro then called that he was home for at least a little bit. Sayha head someone welcome Hiro back as they walked out and into the foyer.
The person that greeted Hiro was a female samurai from the looks of it. She didn’t take much note of them being there until she noticed Sayha. Then she stopped and seemed to study her. The samurai then turned to Hiro and asked who she, Sayha, was. Hiro gestured to Sayha, and the glare of the samurai followed
“It’s kind of rude to ask someone who they are without first introducing yourself,” Sayha responded, “Especially with a glare like that. You might put people off in the wrong way by that. It also gives you wrinkles.” Sayha considered not answering the question but decided to in the end, “The name is Sayha. I’m an Assassin as well as a Tracker and Scribe. I joined the guild a little while ago, maybe a few weeks ago, but this is my first time checking out the Guild House.”

Her eyelids were heavy as she stared up at the ceiling, letting her mind wander to various daydreams. She had returned to her guilds headquarters, the Buckingham Palace, for a few days to relax and practice her cooking in the guild kitchen. She was relaxing in a room upstairs, unwinding and taking a moment to herself. She had only returned to the guild house a few hours before and, after a relaxing shower, she was enjoying the moment of quiet to herself. Just as she was about to lose the battle between awake and sleep and drift off into a dream land, a familiar voice called out from downstairs. It was the voice of her guild leader and good friend, Hiro. Artemisia's foxed ears perked up and her lips pulled up in a smile. It was so rare that she was able to see him, she couldn't take a nap now. Much more awake than she was even a moment before, the Sorcerer jumped up and ran to the hall. Once there, she took a deep breath and slowed her pace to a walk, as if she barely cared at all. One by one she descended the stairs and walked in the direction of the doorway. Just as she was about to turn the corner, she heard the voice of Saeko questioning who someone was. Almost immediately following it was a rather rude and a bit sarcastic of a reply from a girl who eventually introduced herself as Sayha, an Assassin. Artemisia peeked her head around the corner, her green eyes taking in the scene before her. There were three people in the entrance way – Hiro, Saeko, and this new person, Sayha. Having heard the conversation go down, she was a bit worried about what type of reaction Saeko might have to the attitude. Hoping to perhaps quell a potentially hostile situation, Artemisia popped out from her sort-of-hiding-spot and introduced herself loudly. “ In that case,” She started, stepping in the direction of Hiro and Sayha. “ I'm Artemisia and I happen to be a Sorcerer class. Welcome to Buckingham Palace,” She extended her hand in a greeting, offering the girl a smile to along with her shake. “I assume you are a new member of the harem... I mean, guild? Or are you just visiting us today?” She winked at Hiro when her tongue falsely slipped, giving him a sly smile. “ Welcome home, Hiro,” Her fox tail flicked behind her as her eyes turned to look the monk over once. Once her handshake was either accepted or denied, she returned her hand to her side. “ Will I have the pleasure of having your company tonight or will you be rushing out again?” She left the question vague, knowing it could be taken more than one way, depending on your mindset. “ Surely you plan to stay a while, it's been so long...” She tilted her head to the side slightly, pursing her lips in an exaggerated pout. She really did enjoy his company, but she was also curious about this new person he had brought along. Hopefully they were planning to stay long enough to give her a chance to get to know her. --- Notes: And that's Artemisia when she's around Hiro. Words: 532 Tags: Hirosame, @shadowsaiph

She hadn't been in the house for very long, and she assumed that nobody really knew she even existed here, outside of the guild leader whom she had met by happenstance. While the girl had been looking around at guilds, she came across this one, and decided to go with it. Nothing really special about it, just happened to be how things worked out for the time being. The guild home was nice, especially because it was the massive Palace of Buckingham. She liked it here, even though she was likely unknown by anyone and everyone else in the building. It was nice enough that she got into the guild without too much hassle, though she wanted to do something with her time, not just sit around and do nothing, like a samurai that she had heard enough about. Royah had made her way into the kitchen, which she assumed was nearby the entrance, when she heard a male voice ring out. It sounded familiar, and she could only assume that it would have been the guild leader, Hirosame, since there was rarely another guy appearing in this place. He had it pretty well off, having a bunch of girls surrounding him. Most would try and put it to him forming his own harem, but the fact that he tends to be busy with work and adventuring would say otherwise. As she had heard a few voices pick up, she found herself becoming interested in what was going on. She decided that she would grab the juice box that she had come in here for, and then walk out into the foyer and see what all was going on. She grabbed the drink from a cooled environment, then left. Walking into the room with everybody else, she saw that there was about four other people here beside herself. She stabbed the straw into the box, and started to drink from it, her eyes fairly neutral. Some of the voices had picked up, as one answered the other, and then another calmly interjected from there. Her eyes shifted all between the current players on this stage, and decided that she would just remain quiet for the time being. So as to have her presence acknowledged even slightly, she turned to the monk that was in the room, and offered him a one handed wave. More like raising her hand in greeting, she sipped through the straw further. Social interaction! If this were one of those Persona games, she might as well be given a new persona for this social link plus. She chuckled to herself a little, as she thought that. [attr="class","capsol"] Hiro looked over and could see that Saeko was about to lash out against the Assassin, which he would have much rather avoided for the time being. Saeko was about to take a step forward, when Artemisia had shown up and introduced herself in a similar manner. Hiro let out a rather heavy sigh of relief, as the Sorceress had shown up at the perfect time to help dispel the situation currently lingering in the air. Hiro chocked a bit as she mentioned something about a harem, and his eyes darted directly toward Artemisia. He squinted as she tried to play it off as some kind of a slip-up in speech. He nodded at her greeting, though the sentiment had very quickly disappeared as soon as she made that rather vague remark. Throwing another glare to her, he spoke. "I'll be here for an hour or two, though I have to head back out to fix up some stuff." Thankfully, Royah, one of the other newer members of the guild had shown up at that moment, taking a drink from a juice box. She offered a wave in greeting, to which Hiro responded. "Hey Royah." He gave her a smile. "You enjoying the house?"
Saeko, still not pleased with the Assassin's remark, was about to start talking back, despite the conversation having been derailed for now. Hiro had a feeling that the Samurai would do something of that nature, and put a hand on her shoulder, tightening his grip. She looked up at him in shock, and could feel the hand gripping her arm tightly. He removed his hand not too long afterwards, and she cleared her throat quickly thereafter. "H-Hello, I am Saeko." She said in an attempt at a normal voice, though it was very easy to tell that she was distraught. The last time she had blown up in such a manner, Hiro told her to stop, and she tried to attack him to tell him off. He put her in a headlock not moments later, and flipped her over his body, so she was flat on the ground. Such a memory that she wouldn't soon forget, as she thought back on it some more. She forced herself to smile at the Assassin, and continued. "I am a Samurai who has been here for quite some time now, and I would like to welcome you to the guild home." She tried to pass herself off as being rather friendly and such, though her previous interaction made her seem much less like that. Thanks to the power of first impressions, she likely had started off in a bad way. The Samurai grunted a little, a defeated expression all over her face.
Letting out a deep breath, Hiro looked at Sayha. "Well, there's not a lot of people here today, though I'm sure everybody else is just busy with things. If you'd like, we can head into the living room just over here, and take a seat, if you'd like to get to know everybody else here." Hiro pointed to the room just beyond the foyer, which would be the main living room. "Either way, I'm gonna head in there and take a load off. My feet are kinda tired." Hiro admitted, chuckling a little. He started to walk into the room, and laid out on one of the couches just inside. There were two massive doors that lead from the foyer, into the living room, so even if they didn't follow, he would be able to speak to them fairly easily. "We can go on a tour or something soon, I just need a minute." He sprawled out on the couch, as Saeko had also walked into the room. She sat down in one of the armchairs, across from the Monk. Folding one leg over the other, and placing her hands folded onto her knee, she waited for the next thing to happen. Hiro, on the other hand, stretched his body out, fashioning a pillow underneath his head. He let out a contented sigh as he relaxed his body from there.

The small Swashbuckler had wandered from the Thames Riviera where her house sat near the river. She had ventured towards the city, searching for monsters and food as she passed by the Greatwood forest and entered the city. Feeling rather adventurous, Valerie decided to detour and head towards the heart of the city, in search for her guild house. The young adventurer had never found the time to visit her guild house, though she had been a part of the guild for quite some time. Her leader had told Valerie that it was the really big and extravagant building in Londinium, also known as the Buckingham Palace back in the real world. Hiro had invited her to visit a few times, even allowing her to live there since she was part of the guild, but the girl was much too lazy to make the switch, and she preferred living alone, in her little house. Despite her usual antisocial nature, Valerie thought it would be a good idea to tour her supposed guild house and maybe meet some of her guild mates. After wandering around aimlessly, debating whether to visit the guild house, the Swashbuckler finally gathered the determination to find the palace. When Valerie finally spotted the building, she paused outside, her mouth parted slightly in awe as she stood there for a few moments. She had seen the palace a few times in real life, but it never failed to amaze her. Tentatively, the girl trotted towards the front door, placing a careful hand on the door knob. A brief sign flashed, signalling permission for her to enter before she slowly turned the knob and pushed the door open, letting herself in. Stepping into palace, the Swashbuckler’s eyes darted around nervously as her ears picked up soft female voices in another room. The skill [Hearing Aptitude] which was almost permanently toggled on, enhanced the sounds, causing her to flinch slightly. Probably the living room or something. The thought passed through her mind as she brushed it off, hoping that she could enter without being questioned by a group of strangers. Her violet eyes caught sight of multiple pairs of shoes lying by the door. Valerie stared at them for a moment before her violet orbs dropped to her feet, where her worn boots hugged her feet. Grimacing slightly, she slipped them off quietly and padded softly towards the voices, hoping for a familiar one. “… feet are kinda tired.” She heard Hiro’s distinct voice coming from the same direction as the previous voices. Valerie’s steps picked up slightly as relief flood through her, thankful that her guild leader was around. When she stepped into foyer, Valerie immediately froze, her body unmoving as if she had been struck by a spell or skill that immobilized someone, but her eyes darted around, quickly analyzing each person in the room. There was a Sorceress, an Assassin, a Shaman, and a Samurai. Woah, I didn’t know we had a Shaman… That’s pretty damn rare. The Swashbuckler mentally smacked herself for acting as if Shaman was an extinct species. With a quick glance at the panels near their heads, Valerie identified their levels and relaxed a bit. Just a bit. They were all at a lower level than herself, but there was nothing the Swashbuckler could be haughty about. Not that she was much of a prideful person to begin with. The Sorceress was the highest leveled and with a Swashbuckler’s lack of defensive skills, Valerie could only rely on her reflexes to dodge her attacks. The Assassin was lower than the blonde Sorceress, but an Assassin’s speed is no joke. And for the Shaman and Samurai, Valerie knew little about their abilities, and a lack of knowledge could kill. And she didn't want to die. As she realized that her guild leader was not in the room, the girl panicked silently by the doorway, her eyes briefly catching the Samurai leave the room. “We can go on a tour or something soon, I just need a minute.” Valerie heard Hiro say from the room which the Samurai just entered. Glancing briefly towards the other females, the Swashbuckler slightly bowed in greeting towards them and strolled towards the other room, darting around the group and towards the doorway. “Hello…” She murmured softly as she passed by the girls, a cautious smile on her lips as she greeted them politely. Approaching the doorway, Valerie’s hands grabbed onto the doorframe as her head peeked into the room, only her eyes and long dark hair visible. Her eyes surveyed the room in habit, a soft huff of laughter tumbling from her lips when she saw her guild leader laying couch with a resting under his head. The laughter immediately died when she noticed the Samurai sitting on a nearby armchair as if she was about to start a meeting. Gulping down her fear and nervousness, the Swashbuckler opened her mouth to greet her leader. “Hey Hiro.” She called out, her eyes still peering out from the side of the doorway as she nodded at the Samurai in greeting, although the girl probably couldn’t see her nod . “I was just dropping by to check out the guild house and say hi. I’ll probably be going soon.” She explained briefly before falling into silence, her wide eyes blankly blinking as they darted between Hiro and the Samurai. With a quick glance to the adventurers behind her, a soft giggle left her lips as she realized that the guild leader was the only male around at the moment and was basically surrounded by girls. Wow, someone’s popular with the ladies around here. She mused to herself, grinning broadly in amusement. Just as it looked like the samurai would attempt to rip Sayha’s head off, a fox-tail sorcerer came over and introduced herself as Artemisia, holding out her hand. Sayha shook her hand politely, nodding. When she called the guild a harem, acting like it was a slip. Sayha guessed that it wasn’t, but she was pretty sure it was deliberate. She chuckled under her breath though because she did think it was funny. Next was a Shaman who just kind of materialized into the room, but she didn’t say anything so Sayha just shrugged internally. Hiro explained he would only be there for a few hours. He then turned to the Shaman, calling her Royah, and asked if she was enjoying the house. Hiro moved over to the samurai and put his hand on her shoulder. After a moment, the samurai introduced herself as Saeko, and she said that she had been in the guild for some time.
Hiro turned back to Sayha explaining that there weren’t that many people around though Sayha thought that there were plenty of people at that point. He then moved into the living room and sprawled out on the couch that was in the room. Saeko went to sit in one of the armchairs across from Hiro.
Sayha decided to relocate into the living room as well, choosing a chair that was more off to the side so she could see the entire room and everyone in it.
Just then, the door opened again, and there was a Swashbuckler who walked in. Sayha thought that Artemisa calling the guild a harem was pretty accurate thus far as every single one of them had been girls. The swashbuckler said hello to Hiro and said that she was just dropping by the guild house, for no particular reason Sayha guessed.
Sayha sighed internally, feeling very very out of place. Hiro had said that he would give her a tour of the house which she would probably decline. She would end up figuring out the layout fine on her own. At that particular moment though, all Sayha really wanted to do was figure out how she’d fit in in the guild’s equation.

Artemisia smiled mischievously when Hiro shot her the glare for her suggestive words, although she was slightly disappointed she hadn't brought some sort of blush to the Monk's cheeks. He didn't even seem all that flustered, at least that he let on. His words, though, stating he would only be by for a brief time were even more of a let down. Her smile faltered slightly and she felt just a tiny little bit crushed. Hiro was one of her closer friends in this world, despite the fact that they saw each other rather infrequently so it was always disappointing that he was so busy all the time. There was a bit more conversation, mostly involving Saeko, before Hiro interjected and announced he would be moving location to somewhere more comfortable. The Sorceress was still quietly sulking, having been pretty solidly rebuffed for her behavior. She was hiding it well but if someone were to look closely, they could see her cheeks were ever so slightly puffed out as she watched her guild leader walk away. There was no point just standing around in the entryway so Artemisia turned on her heel, preparing to follow Hiro and Saeko into the living room. Just as she was about to move, her eyes fell on a female Swashbuckler who seemed a bit surprised at the gathering. She bowed at them, gave a quiet greeting, and slipped passed them. After a moments pause to survey the next room, she disappeared. Shrugging, as it was far from uncommon to see a girl in Hiro's shadow, Artemisia also moved into the other room. The Assassin, too, joined the growing number in the other room just before she did and found herself a seat just a bit off to the side. The blonde looked around, with so many people visiting at once, a large portion of the prime spots had been taken, especially since Hiro had claimed the entire couch for himself. She glanced at the person in question, tilting her head to the side as she looked him over. He looked quite comfortable there, all stretching out with a pillow under his head. The perfect picture of relaxed and at ease. Certainly, he probably deserved the moments rest but the Sorcerer was not feeling generous enough to allow him his peace.. or his space. Artemisia's stride carried her right to the couch, as if she didn't even see that anyone was there. She turned and sat, sinking down into the plush furniture right where Hiro's lower legs were. The way she placed herself, her bottom was behind his legs and her own lower limbs went up and over his. Continuing to behave as if she was the only one on the couch, she flicked her long blonde fox tail up, letting it fall slowly to rest up the length of the couch, effectively covering a large portion of the Monks body with it. The very tip of her tail shifted once, as if getting comfortable. She knew she was absolutely going to be in trouble for what she was doing but she was willing to take her chances to see what reaction she would get. She said nothing, only waiting to see what would happen or if anyone else would say anything first. -- Notes: I might have killed this thread by being so slow to reply but I hope this was entertaining enough for you all. [attr="class","capsol"] Saeko had found herself becoming more comfortable in the place that she sat in, letting out a sigh. Hiro, on the other hand, was totally enthralled with where he was laying about. A relaxed expression had fully enveloped his face, though his mind had snapped back to reality very shortly afterwards. The sound of a mildly meek Swashbuckler had caught his attention, as his eyes opened up fully. Hiro raised one arm up and into the air. "Hey, Val!" He said, energetically. While his voice was full of energy, the Monk couldn't be bothered to sit up even a little. "Good to see ya, sport." Val had explained that she was likely only here for a little while, to which Hiro nodded understandingly. "If you wanna grab a drink or some food, the Kitchen's right over there. Feel free to hop on in and chill for a bit, because I'm gonna be leaving here soon as well. Got some work to take care of, y'know?" As much as he wanted to jump up and show Val exactly where the kitchen was, his feet legitimately did hurt a bit. "Otherwise, make yourself at home. You're always welcome here."
This was about when he noticed that Sayha had sat a bit further away from the others, and that Royah had completely disappeared. Hiro figured that the Shaman was likely busy with other things for the time being, so she had to only be here for a short while. However, as though on purpose, Artemisia had decided to sit down, right on top of his leg. Hiro leaned up for a moment, only to be greeted by a tail having been carefully flopped down and onto the couch, spilling over onto him. She seemed to have no regard for the Monk's presence, and decided to just go ahead and sit down wherever she liked. He did notice, however, that she curled her legs up and over his own left leg, though her tail had extended up his own body. The tip of her tail flicked a little, when it eventually came to a resting position after a second. Saeko, across the way, raised up an eyebrow, and just smirked. Maybe she'd mess with the Monk like that at some point. She threw a slight nod over to the Sorceress, but continued to sit and relax all the while. Hiro, on the other hand, had his own issues to deal with, pertaining to this situation altogether.
He never was one to perform well with a girl sitting on his lap, or lots of physical contact. Despite Artemisia not exactly sitting on his lap, but rather sitting in between his legs... Actually, just thinking of it that way was enough to cause a bit of a blush to appear on the Monk's face. Having a girl sitting between his legs was definitely not something he had planned to think about for a little while now, at the very least. Of course, he's had some girlfriends before, but they weren't- Wait a minute. His face brightened up even more than it had before, and he leaned back down and onto the couch, putting the pillow over his face. He could feel just how bright red he was getting. He needed a topic change, immediately. However, he did hear Saeko giggling off to the side, to which he picked the pillow up off his face for a moment, and gave her a death glare. She returned his gaze by giggling even more. He needed to change topics quickly. RIGHT! "So, Sayha!" Hiro said, trying to change the topic as drastically as possible. He sat right up, and continued to speak to the Assassin. "What do you think of the house thus far?" He asked the Assassin. "Pretty big, right?" It was at this moment that he realized that a bit of Artemisia's tail had folded down and onto his lap, causing him to brighten up just a bit more. He tried to 'coolly' clear his throat, and pass off the whole thing, as he attempted to scoot just a little bit away.

Hiro had greeted Val, the Swashbuckler, like he had first greeted Sayha when she had arrived. While he spoke to her, she took in her surroundings more. If the living room gave of any indication about the rest of the Palace, it was that it was huge. When she looked back at Hiro, she wasn’t quite sure if she was amused, entertained, or… something else. Artemisa decided to sit on slash near Hiro on the couch. It wasn’t exactly on him but… between his legs maybe? Sayha couldn’t really tell from her position. Though, she was able to watch as Hiro’s face turned bright, bright red, and she had to stifle her laughter. Hiro tried to hide his blush with a pillow which just made stifling her laughter harder. She was pretty sure some of her laughter made it out loud. Saeko must have felt the same way as she was giggling at the monk.
After Hiro picked up the pillow and glared at Saeko, Hiro tried to ignore his… embarrassing circumstance. He asked what she thought of the house so far. Something else made him blush more, and he cleared his throat to try to act like it was nothing. She saw him scoot away from the fox-tail girl.
“It’s a nice place so far,” Sayha said, deciding to help Hiro not be as embarrassed, “It’s a lot larger than I thought it would be. What kind of rooms do you have? Just bedrooms or do you have work rooms or whatever you call them?”

The Swashbuckler smiled slightly when her guild leader waved in greeting, though otherwise not moving an inch from his spot on the couch. Valerie nodded slightly at his words, murmuring a soft "Good to see you too" back in response. When Hiro mention food, the girl's violet eyes widened as an excited expression crossed her face. Her mouth watered slightly, as she had forgotten to grab some food on the way to the guild hall. The Swashbuckler nodded in understanding as he mentioned work. Everyone had their own plans, as did the Swashbuckler who was simply dropping by to check the place out. "Alright, thanks Hiro. It was great to see you again." She said curtly before stepped towards the direction he pointed to earlier which he said was the kitchen. The kitchen with food. Then strolling past her, the blonde foxtail swept into the living room. Stopping mid step, the dark haired girl's watched the blonde curiously, feeling some sort of mischievous aura from her, maybe because the girl was a foxtail, but there was definitely something going on with the blonde. Her dark orbs followed the sorceress, who wandered over to Hiro, taking a seat almost on his lap. Sniffling a laugh, a broad grin spread across the Swashbuckler's face as she watched the blonde continue to make herself comfortable at the expense of Hiro, though by his flushed face and lack of words regarding the situation, likely indicated he was slightly embarrassed, but was not exactly displeased at his current state. Grinning at his attempt to salvage the situation, which didn't seem to get much better as the girl's fluffy tail also settled on his lap as he pulled away slightly. The Swashbuckler was not the only one who seemed to be amused, as the Samurai giggled despite the death glare he sent her. Time for food, Valerie. Her Other voice, reminded her about food in the kitchen. Then she simply waved to everyone in the room, bowing at the waist formally. "Well, have fun." She said, her voice laced with amusement as her brow raised slightly at the foxtail and Hiro as her grin turned slightly teasing, her purple orbs darting between the two. "It was nice to meet you all. Have a good day, everyone." She said, addressing the other people in the room before trotting over to where the kitchen was. Entering the kitchen, the Swashbuckler noticed light conversation trickle from the living room. Rumbling through some shelves, Valerie found some cookies and munched on them silently, before stowing a few more in her pocket before padding out the kitchen. Passing the living room again, she glanced inside and waved awkwardly before darting towards the door, pulling on her boots quickly and then headed towards her home with some tasty cookies in her pocket. Artemisia was doing her best to act as she was unaware of the situation she had caused but it was becoming more and more difficult the longer it went on. Hiro was, of course, aware of her as soon as he would have felt her weight on his legs. She saw him start to sit up, as if he was going to get out of her way and allow to her sit, but when her long tail flicked up and across him, he hesitated, unsure what to do. She kept her face straight ahead, looking mostly at the Samurai who was pretty amused with the situation but her gaze was truly to her side, looking at the Monk out of the corner of her eyes. He plopped back down onto the couch, face glowing, and covered his head with one of the couch pillows. The Sorceress giggled quietly, stifling her laughter behind her hand while she watched Hiro squirm. Hearing Saeko's laughter from under the pillow, he lifted it off and shot her a glare. Artemisia turned her head slightly, looking at her guild leader a little more clearly and almost felt a blush of her own creep up on her cheeks – almost. One thing was for sure though, it was absolutely and unquestionably adorable to see his face glowing the way it was. She was a bit proud of herself, as well, for being the source of the look he was making. After a moment more, Hiro finally burst out, addressing Sayha in an attempt to draw the attention away from the situation he was in and sat up. She had to wonder if, had they been alone, would he had said something to her about it? He didn't pull away from her immediately or act disgusted by her actions, after all. As if he wasn't blushing quite enough already, it was then that he took notice of her tail, resting gently across his lap. When he looked down at it, she twitched the tail obviously, swishing it teasingly. His face lit up just a little bit more and he cleared his throat, finally trying to scoot away from her. She had to wonder just what was on the mind of the high leveled Adventurer that would cause his face to glow so brightly. Certainly he wasn't having the purest of thoughts over there. The fox tail allowed him to shift away from her, lifting her weight off his legs to give him a bit of space. She had achieved her goal and decided perhaps his heart and pulse needed just a little rest from her teasing. Surely, she had succeeded in getting her affection across and, without a doubt, she was going to be on his mind for at least a portion of the day, so all in all it was a win-win for the girl. The rest of the room had been pretty amused by her antics and for a few moments, the living room was full of various pitches of laughter. She turned her green eyes on Hiro and smiled sheepishly. She didn't really bad for what she had done but she did feel a little guilty that she had embarrassed him in front of so many people. She tried to convey, silently, that next time she would be more careful to do such things when they were alone but all she managed to do was giggle again once more, winking at the Monk before turning her view back onto the rest of the group. Valerie, the Swashbuckler, had excused herself from the room as the action died down, and seemed to wander off the kitchen. Sayha, who was answering Hiro's earlier plea of a question, asked about the rooms in the Palace. Specifically, she was curious about the bedrooms. She snickered softly, wondering just what might cross the Monk's mind after everything she had said and done so far. Comments implying them spending the night together followed by her tail across his lap and then the Assassin mentioning bedrooms? Was she doing that on purpose or was it a truly honest question that she hadn't quite through? Artemisia decided, despite the temptation, that she would keep her mouth shut this time and allow Hiro to answer the question which was directed at him. Perhaps if she was able to keep her mischief under control for a few minutes, she might actually get the opportunity to get to know the newest member, she assumed, of their Guild. -- Notes: ♥ Words: 751 Tags: Hirosame, @shadowsaiph, Valerie

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro's face hadn't quite calmed down yet, as a blush was still very present on his face. It was made slightly worse, thanks to the Sorceress's tail flicking a little bit when he went to move away. Not only that, but she had also decided to throw him a little wink at the end of it all. He gave her a rather dead-looking glare, before turning his attention over to Sayha who had begun to answer his question about how she liked the place. He nodded a little, as he could feel his blush very slowly draining away. It seemed like she was trying to keep him from being further embarrassed, which he silently thanked her for. Val had decided that she would be heading out at this point, and Hiro waved goodbye to her. "See ya later, Val. Stop by again sometime!" He shouted after the girl. It was only when the conversation continued that he had actually fully relaxed again, to a point of normalcy. Sayha continued on with what she was saying, which Hiro nodded again to. However, he was very quickly caught off guard by her next statement. Saeko's ears perked up just a little bit, as the mentioning of bedrooms seemed to be just a little too perfect. Was this planned? Was this what the Assassin had had in mind to get Hiro to brighten up again? Or was this just a random happenstance that found itself to be a little too perfectly placed? Either way, Saeko waited to see the Monk's explanation, and would 'help out' wherever necessary. It did seem, though, that Hiro was rather confused about the question she had asked, but he cleared his throat, a light flush appearing on his face again. "Uh, yes, well... Th-There's a few bedrooms here, definitely plenty for Apocrypha to have access to, but there's also some other work-related rooms. Some still in development, though there's a few that we have set in stone. We've got the Kitchen just a little ways from here, and the Garage further down the lefthand side from where we're sitting right now. One can easily get to it from the entrance, but that's about all there is for the moment." Hiro paused for a few seconds, before continuing. "Aside from that, everything else is in development, so we don't really have it set in stone quite yet."This was Saeko's moment to strike. The Samurai spoke up immediately after Hiro had finished his sentiment. "The bedrooms are quite lovely, though." She began, giving Hiro a devious smile. He looked over to the Samurai, and his eyes started to widen up. Before he could say anything, she continued. "There's rather large beds, enough to fit two people in them, and they're quite comfortable. Especially after one has been doing a lot of physical activity during the day... Or the night." She stretched, as Hiro stared at her, wide-eyed and mouth agape. "It's so nice to just lay down for a little while, and just relax. Maybe, read a book or something, after having been forced to use one's body for a long period of time, during the day." Hiro was basically stabbing Saeko with his eyes at the moment, but he refrained from saying anything outwardly about it. "I felt it important to have comfortable beds so everybody could sleep in their own beds." He added a little extra emphasis on the end of that. Afterwards, he adjusted himself so that he was sitting up again, having made sure to scoot a little further toward the other side of the couch. His attention was put on Sayha again, as he spoke further. "So, did you want a little tour of things still? Lord knows I'm gonna end up making some food sometime soon here. I'm starving." His stomach didn't grumble on cue as it was supposed to, but perhaps that was just because of the situation that he had been put into just a little before. His mind was still trying to catch up to everything. Sayha really didn’t think her last question through as it turned out or rather she asked it at a very bad time as everyone’s mind was in the gutter. She was truly just curious about the Palace as she was trying to make a mental map of how the Palace was set up in her head. However, the others didn’t appear to take it that way. The Swashbucker left fairly quickly, and Hiro said good bye to her. He then answered her question about there being mostly just a kitchen and a garage whereas there rest of the rooms were still being worked on. The two work-related rooms Hiro had said made sense, especially considering he was both a pretty good cook as well as a Mechanic.
Saeko, though, seemed to go off of just what Sayha had asked about the bedrooms, going into far more detail than Sayha really wanted to know. Sayha could feel the embarrassment rise in her as she hadn’t meant the question to sound like that at all.
“A tour isn’t necessary; I can figure things out on my own,” Sayha replied to Hiro’s question, standing up, “I’m going to look around…” Sayha saw a hallway off to the side and headed toward the hallway. By the time she made it to the hallway though she was pretty sure at least one person noticed that she was embarrassed.
As she walked down the hallway, a series of memories came to Sayha’s mind. Sayha had a rather swift tongue and didn’t think things out before she said them, and she was scolded a lot for that. It wasn’t the first time she had said something relatively stupid in front of others and they called her out on it, but it was definitely the first time she had said something that lead to her being embarrassed… or at least that embarrassed.
Sayha ended up stopping at one of the windows in the hallway that overlooked the front of the Palace. In her reflection, she was bright red, but she shook her head and tried to get back to normal. “Great, and now they’re going to think I’m a perv,” Sayha sighed under her breath. There was something else picking at her brain that she pushed away, doing her best to ignore it.

The blonde felt her heart squeeze and her stomach seemed as if it dropped into a bottomless pit when she saw the glare on her guild leaders face, which was directed at her. He then completely turned away from her, addressing the other people in the room. Had she pushed him too far? Was he actually mad at her? These thoughts swirled in her mind as her entire mood sank lower and her attention on the conversation waned. Her point had been to express her attraction, not to irritate him. She did her best to keep a smile of her face but certainly, if anyone was looking closely enough, they would have seen the melancholy in her green eyes and the shine of threatening tears. Everything else around her continued but she was stuck, feeling awkward and crushed without the opportunity to do anything but sit there. She wanted to get up and be anywhere but here but she didn't want to draw any attention to herself right now. She was stronger than that, she wasn't going to let on that his reaction had hurt her. She didn't want any pity for pushing things too far, she had dug her own grave on this one and she knew that. Despite Artemisia's effort to not capitalize on the opportunity Sayha had so easily laid out in front of her, it went to waste. Filling the void of awkwardness was Saeko, who was perhaps even more heavy handed in her innuendo than the fox tail had been. Hiro, who was still blushing a bit and awkwardly stammering over his words had attempted to answer the question as if it were simply just a question without any possible double meaning behind it at all. The implications behind the Samurai's words were clear, she wasn't exactly beating around the bush with it. The Sorceress tried to find her smile to appreciate what was going on but she wasn't completely sure if she had. She didn't know what kind of expression was on her face at all but she hoped it was something sort of normal, at least. Her green eyes did catch the look on Sayha's face, though. Saeko's words had drawn up a look of embarrassment on the Assassin's face. It seemed she wasn't the only one in the room having less than innocent thoughts. Despite Hiro's attempt to reassure everyone the beds were intended for one person only, it seemed the topic had been too much for the purple haired girl. Declining Hiro's offer for a tour, she quickly exited the room. Artemisia, too, stood and with her back to Saeko and Hiro, spoke quietly. “ I'm sorry,” Her voice sounded more hollow than normal but she couldn't quite manage her usual cheer. “ I took things too far, I guess. I just get really excited when I get a chance to see you, so I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable or ruined your visit,” Her right foot shuffled across the floor and her shoulders were slightly drooped as she spoke, keeping her eyes straight ahead. It really looked more like she was apologizing to the wall than to anyone else. She paused for a moment, “ I bet everyone is hungry, I'll go ahead and make something,” She quickly turned on her heel and headed in the direction of the kitchen. She felt stupid – stupid for what she had done and even more so for getting so upset about getting glared at for it. She knew he wouldn't hold a grudge against her but it was hard to imagine he would willingly spend much time around her, if she was just going to make him uncomfortable like that. Sighing, Artemisia set about gathering what she needed to put together some sandwiches for everyone. Some things from her inventory, some things from the kitchen. She was determined to have a brighter outlook on things by the time she was finished in here. Laying down the bread, she started assembling the meal for four. --- Notes: Link Found this image which kinda reminded me of Artemisia in this post. [attr="class","capsol"] Not all that much longer after the previous exchange, Sayha had left the room, a noticeable embarrassed look on her face. While Hiro was probably going to question it, he felt that finding things on her own would likely be more memorable, should Sayha decide to stay here in the house for a while. However, soon after that, Artemisia had stood up, and apologized. This caused Hiro's eyebrow to raise, especially because he knew that she was just playing around, and having a bit of fun. Granted, her fun had driven Hiro to a rather advanced state of embarrassment, though he knew that it was all done with playful intent in mind. He'd be lying if he didn't say that he enjoyed it from time to time. Actually, the light-hearted nature that seemed to dwell within this house was one of the best parts of it. So, perhaps he was a little harsh with his reactions, and had no real excuse for acting as upset as he did, which he actually wasn't. So, he felt that he had taken it just a bit too far, on his own end, with his over-exaggeration. This was about when the guilt started to seep in, and the Monk laid out on the couch again.
Saeko, taking note of his change in attitude, began to speak with him. "Why the long face, cowboy?" She asked, the jovial hint still in her voice. "For a guy who just had 2 girls playfully hitting on him, you seem a little bit more down than one would expect, given the situation." She leaned back in the chair she was in, getting more comfortable. "You should be used to it by now. It's kind of a pass-time for me, to mess with you."
"Yeah, don't I know it?" Hiro responded, a smirk on his face. "You make it seem more like a job than anything."
"Trust me, if I got paid for it, I'd be rich." Saeko commented afterwards. The two of them laughed a bit, but the conversation continued. "You do seem to be a bit bummed, though. Something else on your mind?"
Stretching a bit on the couch, Hiro thought for a second, before speaking. "I dunno, I just feel like I hurt Artemisia's feelings with that last glare thing. I hope that she didn't take it as though I was actually mad at her; I have no problem with some teasing. It's not that often that I get to stay and hang out for a while, so it is kinda nice to come home to something as light-hearted and spirited as some playing around, y'know?" He turned to face the Samurai for a moment, before continuing. "On top of that, I really kinda hope that Sayha feels like she fits in here, soon enough. To be honest, I think she'd get along great with everybody here, so it would be like a little home away from home for her. I'd like for everybody to just... Feel like they belong here. That's just how I want this place to be, for the people in this guild. I'm going off on a rant, here, I know, but these times are tough." Hiro's voice trailed off a bit. "Everybody's just kinda here with each other, no real family to speak of... We gotta help each other out. Help everybody belong, that kinda thing. That's..." He paused, but then shrugged. "I mean, that's just what I'd like to have happen."
Saeko adopted a warm smile, and chuckled a little. "You know, you kinda suck as a person, from time to time." She said, a heavy hit if Hiro had ever been dealt one. "But... You're alright as a guild leader." She started to readjust herself in the chair, before continuing. "I'd say, just give Artemisia a little time to cheer back up, like we both know she will. And, whenever she comes back, just apologize. As for Sayha, just be welcoming, and I'm sure she'll feel like she's okay to live here, too." She shrugged, but started to stand up. "It's what you've done for the rest of us, so that part can't be too hard, right?" A smirk appeared on her face, as the Samurai started to walk over toward the door that Artemisia walked out of. "I'm gonna go help her with some of the food. You just hang out and relax a bit. You've gotta leave again soon, so just take a load off for 5 minutes." With that, Saeko walked out of the room, leaving Hiro to lay and think. He put his hands up behind his head, but spoke up quickly afterwards.
"Hey, Saeko." Hiro said, stopping the girl in her tracks. She turned to face him, and he smiled. "Thanks." Without another word, Saeko went into the kitchen, and Hiro closed his eyes, relaxing.
A few moments later, Saeko walked into the kitchen with Artemisia, greeting her as she walked in. "Hey there, mind if I give you a hand?" She asked, grabbing one of the aprons off the rack on the wall. She adjusted it to herself, and put her hair up in a long ponytail. "Figure if there's food to be had, I might as well help you out, right?" She made her way over to the place where the fox-tail was setting up, and waited. "Let me know what I can do to help the food along. I'm a little hungry, too, so four hands are better than two, when it comes to getting it done quicker." From there, if Artemisia accepted the offer, Saeko would do whatever it is to help prepare the food.

Once Sayha got her thoughts together, she decided to keep making her way through the hallways. The Palace was huge, and Sayha thought to the back of her head that there should be some sort of map in the hallways. Though Sayha had the feeling that the place was just empty since there didn’t seem to be anyone else around. Sayha didn’t know how she felt about it. Of course, Sayha was still trying to decide whether she would stay or not. However that was the plus side to the Palace being huge. She would probably be able to ask for a room that was kind of off on its own. At the same time, though, Sayha did want to get to know the others. With how things were in the living room though, Sayha had her doubts as to whether she’d actually belong or not.
Sayha thought that she had hidden long enough and made her way back down the hallways she had gone through and made her way back to the living room. Artemisia and Saeko were not there for the time being, but Hiro was still where he had been sitting. Sayha went back over to the chair she had been sitting in.
“Hiro, I’m sorry about before,” Sayha said after a moment, “I actually didn’t mean anything by it. I’ve never been a place as big as this, and I my question was timed badly. It seems to be a reoccurring theme with me.” Sayha sighed, hoping that no one would hold it against her.

The Sorceress, who was doing her best to get her mind back in a more cheerful state, was in the kitchen preparing a simple but hopefully filling meal for herself, her guild leader and her two guild mates. She couldn't, and didn't really want to, hear any conversation going on in the living room she had just left, but she had to assume something had been said between the Monk and the Samurai, after both herself and Sayha had exited the room quite quickly. Not long after she had started assembling the sandwiches, the very same female Samurai in question entered the kitchen. When she heard the footsteps, her heart froze for a moment – what if it was Hiro who walked in? What would she even say? What would he say? Fortunately for her, it wasn't him and none of these questions needed to be answered immediately. Soon enough, she was sure, she would have the face him again and someone would have to say something. Hopefully it wasn't anything along the lines of 'I thought about it and I'm going to have to ask you to leave' which was what she was most afraid of. Having pushed the high leveled Adventurer a bit further than usual, she wasn't quite sure what her punishment would be, if anything. It would absolutely crush her if she was kicked out of the guild, after she left her previous guild voluntarily for this one. She was, on the surface, trusting and accepting of all (for the most part) but deep down, it took a while to truly earn her as an ally and once she was aligned with someone or a group, she felt very strongly about those ties of loyalty. There were a lot of reasons she had switched guilds, although she heard later that her original guild no longer existed anyways, it was still a difficult choice for the blonde. This was her home and she didn't really think Hiro would ever come to such a conclusion but she couldn't help her imagination for wandering, just a little bit in her moment of sadness. Saeko asked if there was anything she needed help with. Artemisia looked up at her, seeing she had already put on an apron and tied her hair up. She smiled slightly, the corners of her lips just barely twitching up for a brief moment. As much as she hadn't wanted it to be him, she also did sort of want it to be him. Perhaps he had decided to go and find Sayha, instead, she wondered as she looked around quickly to see what the other woman could help her with. The thought he that might have chased after the Assassin in and of itself was an entirely different issue for the Sorcerer that she wasn't quite sure how she would deal with, or how she felt about it. Her thoughts turned back to Saeko and her offer to help, not wanting to ignore her. While only a few seconds had passed since her question, if she didn't say something soon it was bound to get awkward. “ Thanks, Saeko, will you get this stuff together for me and portion it out?” She pulled up a recipe card she had made out of her inventory and slid it to the other girl. She knew the Samurai was not a chef but so long as Artemisia was the one that assembled and mixed it in the end, it shouldn't make much of a difference if someone else set up the ingredients for her. It was a simple condiment, sometimes used in dressings, which she would be using to given the sandwiches a bit of moisture and flavor. “ If you have any questions, let me know, I'm about half done here,” In her hand was a knife, which was from the guilds kitchen, and she was slicing a tomato and laying down the slices evenly on the bread. There was very little conversation between the two, or really there was practically none. The purple haired girl seemed to recognize that the blonde needed the company but none of the questions or comments. Her presence there, although silent, was enough to let the Sorceress know that she most likely was not going to be abandoned by her guild. This was comforting and helped to improve her mood. With Saeko's help getting everything in place, it wasn't long before the sandwiches were assembled, dressed and sliced. After the chef set the sandwiches out on four different plates, each of them took two plates and headed back towards the living room. She briefly wondered if anyone would even still be in there but the question was answered quickly. Sayha had returned and Hiro was there. It looked as if they may have been talking and for a moment, she was worried they may have interrupted something. Almost as if on purpose, Saeko strode straight over to the Assassin and handed her one of the plates, forcing Artemisia to serve Hiro. Feeling a little stiff and avoiding eye contact, the green eyed girl walked over and held out a plate to her guild leader. “ I didn't have anything to make drinks with,” She muttered. She wasn't quite as hurt as before but she still wasn't sure what was going on in his mind and where they stood. -- Notes: Controlled Saeko a little but I went with what I felt her personality would be for the situation. [attr="class","capsol"] As the Monk had hung around in the living room, he had a little bit of time to think about what had happened prior. He didn't want Artemisia to feel upset about what had happened, and he also didn't want Sayha to feel like she wasn't able to fit in as well as she might think. Really, he was certain that everybody in the guild house at the moment was quite friendly toward one another, and there was a significant amount of camaraderie in the building at most times. However, this was just what he's seen in the place, but he's been here long enough to know just what kinds of things go on. So, he felt safe in assuming that the place was as welcoming as it could be, especially of newcomers. Hiro recalled the time when Val had first shown up, however maybe not showing up in the guild house itself. Everybody was pretty much on board with her joining, as much as they have been with everybody else who had joined. Sayha would likely be no different. Artemisia was definitely a front-running member in the welcoming portion of the guild, as she has always been quite kind and accepting of others.
Hiro's thoughts were interrupted when he had heard the sound of someone else coming into the room. He opened his eyes up, to see Sayha walking back in, and sitting down once more. She began to apologize for something she probably didn't even need to apologize for. Hiro's eyebrow raised up in question, but waited until she was finished. "You don't need to apologize, you know." He began, a smile creeping across his face. "Conversation just kinda flows like that. Not your fault that the question was timed when it was." He eventually sat up on the couch, shifting around so that he was sitting and facing ahead normally. He leaned down a little bit, resting his elbows on his knees. "Don't worry too much about it." He said, finishing off the sentiment. It wasn't all that much longer after here, though, that Saeko had walked on in.
"Lunch time!~" She called out, somewhat lyrically. She walked her way over to the Assassin, handing her a plate that was in her hand. "Here you go. Straight from our master chef over there." With the exchange having taken place, she found her place over at the chair she had sat down at, and took a bite into the sandwich. She looked like she was about to watch a show or something happen, as a smile filled her face right up.
Not a moment later, Artemisia had walked in, and held a plate out for Hiro to take. He felt a little guilty for her response, and looked at the food for a moment before taking the plate. "Thank you." He said quietly. He looked at the food for just a moment longer, before speaking. "Hey, Artemisia." He began. Looking up at her. "I'm sorry about before. I... Kinda made a face that made it look like I was upset, but I wasn't actually. I'm not mad at you, but I'm a little upset at myself for having made you upset." He looked up at her, and spoke a little bit more. "Can you forgive me?" He asked. He fell silent from there, waiting for her answer.

After Sayha had re-settled down in her chair, Hiro told her that she didn’t need to apologize and that conversation just kind of flowed like that. He also said not to worry about it too much. ‘Easier said than done,’ Sayha thought to herself. She usually wasn’t one to keep her mind on such topics, but there really wasn’t any topics she could think of off the bat to talk about. Just then, Saeko had walked in from another door, announcing it was lunch time. She had walked over to Sayha and handed her a plate. “Thanks,” Sayha nodded as she took the plate from the samurai. Saeko then went back to her chair and sat down.
Sayha took a bite of the sandwich as she saw Artemisia walk in, handing a plate to Hiro. Hiro had apologized to her for glaring at her, which Sayha must have missed from when she left earlier.
Something gnawed at the back of Sayha’s mind, but she pushed it down. She continued to eat in silence, still feeing relatively awkward about how things had played out before. After she was done, she set the plate carefully in her lap, and a thought came to her mind.
“Out of curiosity, how many people stay here on a regular basis?” Sayha finally spoke up. She decided that a new topic would hopefully be welcome. Hiro had only briefly talked about some of the other members, and Sayha was interested in learning more about the others… and possibly about how they fit into the guild.
