Sayha did not like the sounds of the druid, which she could now see was named Morgana, and the heretic. First she said that the artifact that they had was better than the merchant’s sword… the one that Sayha had stolen back from Hecate and a strange Guardian named Marco. Sayha briefly wondered if the Guardian would appear at any time, but she quickly waved that thought off… the tunnels were too small for the Guardian as he had been massive. Then the heretic said that she would never use him again. So he had been paid to help… which made her wonder if the druid was a true recruit or if she was working for the money. Sayha almost stopped breathing when the druid mentioned that Krul was gone. Hecate waived it off as that she went to go look for her or something along those lines. Sayha rolled her eyes, but refocused when Hecate asked for the weapon from the druid. There was no way Sayha could let the weapon be put in that blood. She slowly moved away from the cages and closer to the purple fire, getting ready to act if and when Hecate were to drop the weapon in the blood. However, as she moved closer to the flame, a voice entered Sayha’s head.
‘You could end this now,’ it whispered, ‘They would deserve it. After all, the witch didn’t learn anything the first time she died.’
Morgana nodded at her mistress. She opened her inventory and pulled out the nameless item. It was a dagger, a strange-looking one. It was not a straight one but rather one that almost looked like a Z. Morgana got down on one knee and held out the dagger on the flats of both of her hands, “I, Morgana, hereby pledge myself to the Lady Hecate for as long as she had the power of this dagger. Under these terms, I will do your bidding as requested. Your enemies will be my enemies, and your friends will be my friends. This I hereby swear.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro wondered what that voice was, and why it was so potent. He felt that his entire body wanted to surge forward, and slam his fist into Hecate's face, but he knew that if he did that, their secrecy on this mission would have been completely compromised at this point. However, he knew that whatever was going to happen next wouldn't be allowed to happen, since if the ceremony took place, he had no idea what would happen from there. The objective that Hecate had in mind might as well come true, if that is the case. He knew that he couldn't let that happen, but he didn't want to make an unnecessarily preemptive move. As he watched the Heretic and Druid, named Morgana, converse, he was still contemplating charging right in and interrupting immediately. Whatever they had planned could not be good for the world as a whole. However, he did wonder about the Druid's true loyalty, as during her pledge, as it was called, she mentioned that she was only loyal, so long as Hecate held the dagger. As he was about to question further, he remained silent, as Hecate grinned. * * * The Heretic grinned widely, as the Druid held up the dagger before her. Its shape was unique, and definitely couldn't be used by anyone for a decent fighting weapon. Hence its magical nature, as it was a relic from a time long past. She outstretched her hand, taking the weapon. She cackled after a moment, holding the blade closer to herself. Her demonic grin widened further, as she turned around, holding the blade up to the flames before her. "O, Living Nether." She began. "I bring you a weapon of ancient power, holding the magics from a time long ago! Within it is sealed the power by which you shall turn me from a lowly Adventurer, into a Goddess! As decreed by the Father himself, the Lander Priest with which I have learned of this ritual, take this weapon from my hands, and transform the mortal I am, into a GODDESS!!!" She hoisted the blade up higher, and was about to drop it, when one of the cages from the other side of the room started to barrel directly towards her. She looked over to the side, and immediately jumped back and out of the way. Her eyes followed the flying object, and then shifted back to view the cause. Her eyes widened, and a scowl appeared. "You..." She said, her eyes squinting. * * * Hiro had heard the name of the Lander Priest, and his rage flared. Without another moment's notice, he jumped up, and used Megaton Impact on the cage before himself, sending it flying over towards the Heretic. The Monk then stood, and faced the Heretic, slowly taking a few steps forward. "I knew it..." Hiro said, his tone much deeper than before. "I knew it had to be him." He stopped after a few feet, glaring at the Heretic. "Your plans stop here, Hecate. Whatever it is that he told you is a lie, and you'll only end up killing yourself." He stood there, watching the Heretic for a few moments, but continued. "Leave here, and you won't be brought to harm."She glared at him, and the same wicked grin formed on her face again. "Oh?" Hecate began. "I'm assuming that you are the reason why Krul is not here, then. How rude of you, to kill someone who is only in your way. Why not... Walk around them?" She chuckled again, raising up her hand. "Although, I cannot blame you... I would have done the exact SAME THING!!!" Black fires whisped from her hand, shooting forth towards Hiro and Sayha. Hiro jumped over to the side, hoping that Sayha would have done the same. Hecate didn't know that Sayha was there quite yet, though, as she centered the blast of [Hellfire] at the Monk. As the flames died down, she turned her head slightly to Morgana. "End them." She said, turning back to the Monk. Hecate's level at this point is 63, so she knew that she was able to put up enough of a fight. Sayha was very antsy. There was something seriously wrong. Not just with Hecate, but with whatever voice she had heard in her head. Where had the voice come from? What was going on? Did what Sayha think come from the Living Nether of Miasma? Sayha didn’t do anything for the time being, instead watching the Druid give a strange looking dagger to the heretic. The heretic took the dagger and gave some sort of spiel which was probably connected to whatever ritual she was trying to. Just as Hecate was going to drop the dagger in the blood and Sayha was about to move to catch it, one of the cages came flying towards Hecate, thanks to Hiro Sayha guessed. She was able to jump back just in time to avoid getting hit. Hiro caught Hecate’s attention which meant she had no idea Sayha was nearby. Of course now that Hecate was 63, Hiro would just have to take care of her. Sayha would handle the Druid. Hecate attacked Hiro, and then ordered Morgana to attack. Meanwhile though, Sayha pulled out her scythe out of her inventory after relocating behind the druid. The two of them hadn’t seen her yet. Just as the druid was about to attack with her spear, Sayha forced the spear down towards the ground with one end of her scythe. In one quick sweep, Sayha spun herself and her scythe so that that Hecate and Morgana were forced to opposite ends of the cave: Hecate towards Hiro and Morgana towards the open side of the cavern. Once Sayha was done spinning, she was turned to face Morgana who got up, glaring at Sayha.
Sayha spun the scythe in her hand before pressing the switch to turn the scythe into dual kama mode. “Yeah, good luck ‘ending’ me,” Sayha readied the weapons in her hands, “If you give up now though, we’ll let you live.”
The plan had gone quickly from going well to not going at all. Morgana was about to attack the monk per Hecate’s command, but she had been interrupted and sent flying into the cavern wall behind her. Now, Hecate was on the other side of the room with the Monk and an Assassin that appeared out of nowhere was standing in front of her. “Girl, I’ll never surrender to the likes of you,” Morgana readied her spear to attack, “I’d offer you the same sentiment, but it doesn’t seem like you’d take it either.”
“No, I wouldn’t,” the assassin had replied.
“Good,” the druid gave a cruel smile, “<Toxic Thorns>.” Spikes grew all over the room, and the poison was visible on them.
Sayha glanced around the room at the spikes that had appeared. She would have to be careful, but she also knew that the passive she had gotten when she switched from scribe to pharmacist that allowed her to recover twice as fast from poisons. Even then, she would have to be careful. She was only level 55 with the druid being only 5 levels under her. Sayha activated <Death Stinger> on her kamas, getting ready to attack head-on.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro stood up and glared at the Heretic just a little ways away from himself. The druid nearby had been taken to the side, thanks to Sayha, leaving both Hiro and Hecate to glare at one another. Her sinister grin forbade arrogance, while Hiro's anger had taken its full place within his face. She laughed maniacally while he stared in strong silence. "Do you honestly think you can stop what has already been set in motion, feeble ones?" Hecate raised her arms up and into the air, victoriously holding the dagger in her hands. "With this blade, I will solidify my link to the darkness within the Living Nether, and become far more powerful than any human in this world, and there is nothing that will be able to stop me!!" She let out a haughty laugh, to which she soon reverted her scowl back to the Monk. "Not even you and all your useless levels will be enough to stop my rise to power." She brought her arms down, and reached into her cloak, pulling out an orb. What looked to be a crystal ball by which she could cast some spells from, Hiro lowered his body to prepare for an onslaught of attacks.
Hiro would not allow Hecate to cast any spells, as he launched his body forward with all his might. The Heretic, though, had planned for an immediate assault, and had already begun to cast [Shackles of the Sentenced], causing Hiro's body to be bound by darkness in chains around his legs and arms. Trying to move caused no result for the Monk, as he struggled against the chains. All the while, Hecate had begun to cast and use the spell [Pain Affliction], which sent a surging stream of Miasma to appear and attach itself to Hiro's leg. Almost immediately afterwards, the Monk began to feel a searing pain run through his leg, causing him to yell out in pain. The Heretic then charged up a [Miasma Bullet] to fire at him, sending the attack flying at the Monk. The miasma hit him directly in the torso, but the chains had disappeared at this point. Hiro, though, was still feeling some powerful aftereffects from the pain he had felt in his leg, and found himself moving a little slower. This, however, wasn't enough to stop him entirely, as he felt his body surging with anger. A voice replayed in his head, unbeknownst to him entirely.
"She brings about death... For one to understand it, one must die themselves, correct...?"
Hiro could feel this voice inside his head, and wondered where it had been coming from. He felt his mind wash back and forth between just stopping Hecate, or beating her to a bloody pulp, and then stopping her. He felt his violent urges grow and grow, without realizing it, and starting to think about actually giving into what he would assume was his most primal instinct, concerning this devil of a person. His mind would call it some kind of divine retribution, though he knew that just stopping this whole thing would be more than enough for him to do right now. The voice was stronger somehow, thanks to the hits he had just taken... What was causing him to think this?
Hecate could see the Monk struggling, and she lowered her guard a bit, her grin widening. She began to laugh, as Hiro looked up to face her. "Do you not see? You are being influenced by the Living Nether, too." She took a step forward, but Hiro's head had begun spinning, and he wasn't able to think straight at all. "The voice within your head... Is it not telling you to kill me?" Her smile broadened, as Hiro's eyes focused on the Heretic. "I know the feeling... I had the same thoughts, when I had first encountered that priest. He told me to kill him, to listen to the voice within my mind. And when I tried to kill him, everything became clear to me..." She stepped a little closer, holding her arms out. The look on her face held a very condescending note, as she looked own on him. "Now... Attempt to strike me down, so that you may revel in the glory of my new world." She stayed there, keeping her place. She was certain that the Monk would give in, as the Corruption spreading throughout him had begun to multiply. Such is the power of the Living Nether, and soon would be his fate.

Sayha could hear the fighting on the other side of the room, and she felt anxiousness in her grow as she tightened her grip on her kamas. “Getting scared, little girl?” Morgana taunted, seeing Sayha’s grip grow tighter.
“Scared of a call girl? Not on my life,” Sayha scoffed. Though she felt something in her mind clawing at her.
“Why do you hesitate,” it whispered, “Have you lost your will to fight? Are you really going to let them get away with the evil they are doing?” Sayha gritted her teeth, and Morgana smirked.
“So, you do hear it,” the druid said, her voice sounding like silk, “That would be the Living Nether. Give into its words, and you may be able to redeem yourself. Do you not see that the world we are in is broken? The Nether shows us how things truly are. There’s no point in fighting it.”
Then something in Sayha’s mind finally clicked. The Living Nether was Miasma; there was no question about it. However, the Miasma’s corruption didn’t come from touch as Sayha and Hiro hadn’t touched it. The Miasma must have had a way of flowing through the air, tainting the very air in the room that they were in.
“You know better, Sayhara Knight,” another voice, or rather a memory echoed in Sayha’s mind. It was her sifu, scolding her after a practice dual with another classmate, “Never fight with emotion, especially not anger. Anger leads to hatred. Hatred leads to suffering. If you fight with emotion, it will only lead to suffering and your own demise.”
“Hiro!” Sayha called out, keeping an eye on the druid, “Bring this cavern down!”
The druid’s eyes grew, “You really thing that you can destroy this place? This place is sacred, and I won’t let anyone touch it!” The druid bound forward with her spear, attacking physically instead of from a distance with magic. Sayha quickly triggered her dual kamas to turn into a scythe, and she blocked the attack.
“I refuse to become a puppet,” Sayha said, holding off the druid’s attack, “Are you really so brainwashed to see what’s going on.”
“Not at all,” the druid hissed, “Open your mind. Embrace the Living Nether.”
“My mind is open,” Sayha turned and pushed Morgana backwards, “and that’s exactly why I’m going to destroy this place if it’s the last thing I do.”
Sayha spun the scythe in her hands in front of her, keeping Morgana busy. Sayha spoke up, loud enough so that Hiro would be able to hear her, “I have no qualms dying destroying such a horrible place. Trust me and destroy this place.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro's mind was swirling with doubts. The Heretic nearby had announced that the voice he heard was something she had felt herself, and that she would become stronger if Hiro took her down. He felt something crawling throughout his body, something that was causing him to want to surge forward and destroy Hecate without any sort of mercy. After a few moments, Hiro fell down to one knee, the pain in his head having forced him to feel physically weak. Hecate, standing just a ways away, grinned. Her legs began to walk her over to the Monk slowly, her plan having been set in motion completely by this point. She put her hand on top of Hiro's head, a small channel of Corruption being sent through her body and into his. She kept her hand on him, as she knelt down slowly to look into his eyes. Her maniacal grin stayed, as she had begun to speak. "You do not wish to strike me down, as I had not wished to kill the Priest... Soon, you, too, shall become another of my servants. Open your mind, and embrace the darkness that has become your soul..." She began to laugh quietly, as she watched the Monk.
Inside Hiro's mind, there were only thoughts of killing the Heretic, though his body was unable to move. The pain that he had felt inside his head had begun to course throughout his body. He heard Sayha in the distance, though he was unable to do much of anything right now. His mind locked him up in one place, and ignored the rest of the world. He had never quite felt this pain before. It was like the worst migraine in the world, accompanied by having the flu at the same time. He could hear all sorts of voices, saying to get up and kill the Heretic, none of which he chose to listen to. Or, rather, none of which his body would choose respond to. However, there was one voice, faintly speaking in the distance, which he could not hear clearly. As much as he tried, he could just not hear it... Until, its voice began to speak louder and louder. It sounded familiar, as though he had heard it hundreds of times before in his mind. He couldn't remember where he had heard it before, but he knew that it was becoming more present in his mind. As he strained to hear it further, he could hear all of the other, darker voices, begin to fade away slowly. As the other voices fell silent, he heard it clearly now...
Arise! The voice called. Look to the skies, where the sun shines! Let it's light cast away the darkness!!
Hiro's eyes opened wide again, as the pain in his mind had vanished immediately. His body coated himself in flames, causing the Heretic to jump away from him in shock and surprise. She glared at the Monk, who was now slowly standing up. There was something different about the fires he was covered in. They seemed to be... Alive. Breathing. Hiro felt the warmth from the fire around him, as it seemed much more welcoming and protective than normal. It felt like something, or someone, from long, long ago had shown up to help him once more. The fires around his body began to lash out, connecting itself to the ground. After a few more moments, Hiro's hand balled up into a fist, which he brought up above himself. Hecate looked up at his hand, as it began to energize with a bright yellow light, her eyes widening. Before she could move, Hiro had disappeared and reappeared next to the Living Nether. Its dark flames started to whip over to him, but the flames surrounding him had staved them off. Hiro brought his fist down with a powerful slam, using Tiger Echo Fist, as the impact caused the ground to shatter slightly. White flames quaked up from the indentation, as the skill had finished its new animation. He stood back up, glaring at the Heretic, who knew not what to say in response. Hiro's mind was clear now, and his eyes fixed on Hecate, slowly walking towards her.

At first, Sayha thought that Hiro hadn’t understood what she said as nothing happened. She turned, glancing at where Hiro was crouched down. Though in a blink, Hiro was suddenly glowing with bright fire. He stood up, getting ready to attack, then disappeared. When he reappeared he was next to the Living Nether, and he hit it with one of his attacks. The whole cavern shook from the impact, and Sayha could hear some rocks falling about, but there was no major damage other than that the Living Nether seemed to have disappeared and a crevice was all that remained. Hiro turned his focus back to Hecate and started walking towards her. Sayha realized that the air suddenly felt… clear. The darkness that had been nagging at Sayha’s mind was now gone. It was time to finish the job, and Sayha turned her attention back to Morgana.
“No!” Morgana looked horrified by what had just happened, looking only at the crevice for a moment. Though right after, she glared at Sayha and attacked her head on, “<Flameburst>!” Morgana pointed her spear at Sayha, and Sayha tumbled towards the right, avoiding the flames that burst forth from the spear.
After the tumble, Sayha stood and swiped the scythe towards Morgana, “<Splitting Fang>.” A projectile appeared where the scythe had swung, and it hit Morgana head on. Sayha wasn’t about to give Morgana a chance to regroup, “<Quick Draw>. <Sword Rain Flurry>.” Sayha dashed forward towards Morgana, slashing at her. Then with the other end of her scythe, she stabbed forward thanks to the spike at the end. Once Sayha was done stabbing, she triggered the scythe to turn into dual kama mode and slashed towards Morgana in an x pattern, “<Deadly Dance>.” Once her onslaught of attacks were done, Sayha jumped back, reading herself for Morgana’s attacks.
Morgana had taken a ton of damage, and Sayha thought that she would fight more defensively. She was partially correct as the ground around the druid suddenly froze, “<Glacial Freeze>. <Arbor Phalanx>.” Suddenly, a tree grew in front of Morgana, blocking Sayha from Morgana. A distraction so Morgana could heal, Sayha assumed.

[attr="class","capsol"] Something was strange about these flames. They were warmer than the normal fires that he was used to... And not in the sense of heat. No, they felt more friendly. More welcoming and loving. Like the sun's rays from up above. Whatever voice had appeared in his mind before had gone for now, though it rang in his head as though an echo in a church. He couldn't quite remember where he had heard it before, though it was very familiar. Perhaps he would need to meditate on the subject at some point, but for now, there was something much more important facing him right now. His mind shifted back to the Heretic before him, her eyes widened with shock and fear. She had no idea what this fire was all about, and the fact that he Living Nether had now been buried underneath walls of the cavern only served to make her more angry and ferocious. However, the fire that had surrounded the boy right now felt too dangerous to her, and she knew that she would be in trouble if she had to deal with it directly. Her eyes switched over to Morgana, who was busy dealing with the Assassin from before.
Hecate silently cursed under her breath, as she rolled back her hand. A grin appeared on her desperation-filled face, as she began to speak. "A neat trick you have, Monk. However..." She trailed off, a black fire appearing in her hand. "It will serve you no benefit in this fight!!" She launched her arm forward, releasing a blast of [Hellfire] from her hand. The black flames whipped and flew towards the Monk, and made contact, wrapping itself around his body. She brought her other arm into the fray, channeling more mana into the attack. She began to let out a maniacal laugh, as the fires had begun to circle entirely around the Monk. Without even realizing it, she had channeled far too much of her MP into the attack, and ended up using a majority of her remaining MP. The fires then began to slow down from her hands, and soon enough, they stopped. Hecate had become tired, though her attack had been made. She was sure that she had made an incredible dent in his health, given the difference in their levels, though her eyes started to turn back into a shocked state. From underneath the black flames of her own attack, she could see the red, white, and yellow fires from before.
The attack had made its dent, all right. The damage he had taken was actually moderately severe, given the difference in levels. However, what had surprised her was that his own flames had begun to push back against the black fire. The darkened fire then began to dissipate, as the flames around Hiro continued to shine. His eyes looked at the Heretic, turning more stern and angry. Her own expression began to reflect this change, becoming something actually akin to fear. Without another moment, Hiro had vanished. Hecate was about to react, though she found a fist planted firmly into her stomach. She looked down, her eyes wide, at the body-blow. Not too long afterwards, a ball of energy began to form in Hiro's hand, replicating the same color of the fires that surrounding him. Hiro looked up into the Heretic's eyes, coldly. She turned to face him, and saw only a mask of a fox's head. Another moment later, the energy in Hiro's hand had blasted outward, piercing her body through. Her health had immediately drained down to 0, and her body began to turn into pixels, as she disappeared. Hiro, now standing back up, had begun to revert to his former form. The flames whisked away into the air, leaving his body there standing. Soon afterwards, he fell over onto the ground, unconscious.

The distraction did not work on Sayha at all. She may have been on ice, but she was able to get off of it quick enough before it did any real damage to her. Once she was off of the ice, she ran over to where the table was and jumped up on it. Morgana was about to cast a healing spell when she saw Sayha out of the corner of her eye. Morgana was much lower than Sayha had thought, and there was one attack that could finish it off.
“<Assassinate>,” Sayha pushed herself forward off the table and vaulted herself towards the Druid. The druid wasn’t able to react fast enough and took the damage head on. It was a critical hit. After a moment, Sayha saw that Morgana’s HP had officially hit 0.
“Damn… you…” Morgana hissed as she exploded into bubbles. Once Morgana’s bubbles dissipated, the giant tree that had been there pixelated and disappeared. With her threat being neutralized, she quickly shifted her weapon into scythe mode and turned to where Hiro and Hecate had been fighting.
Hiro was covered in fire. It looked like his <Hellfire Drive> ability, but there was just something different about it. It almost looked like it was maybe purifying Hiro, though Sayha couldn’t tell. The heretic wasn’t happy about Hiro’s fire and went to attack him with her <Hellfire>. However, her attack had backfired as she ran out of MP… and the fire around Hiro had went out and damaged Hecate in response. Then Hiro caused an orb of energy to form in his hand, and he hit Hecate with it head-on. Hecate’s health quickly reached zero. Hiro was level 90 for a reason. Once he stood back up like normal, the fires that had surrounded him disappeared. Then, Hiro collapsed.
Sayha instantly dropped her scythe and ran over to Hiro, kneeling beside him. Worry quickly swarmed her thoughts, and she did her best to push them down. She needed to stay calm. First, she checked his buffs and debuffs, making sure that there wasn’t anything left over from the fight. There wasn’t so she checked his breathing and his pulse. His breathing seemed okay, and his pulse was fast. The pulse didn’t worry Sayha that much though since he had just been in a fight.
“Hiro,” Sayha said, louder than normal, “Hiro, can you hear me?” She gently shook his shoulders, trying to wake him up, “Hiro, wake up.” Despite trying to keep her calm, she was worried, very worried. Other thoughts ran through her head like who would be able to help her and what she should do. She couldn’t come up with anything that actually made sense so all she could do was wait.

[attr="class","capsol"] Before him now stretched a forest, though one unlike he had ever seen before. It seemed mystical in origin, housing a blue tint to just about everything. The tree boughs high above covered most light, though some managed to flutter down here and there. Though, what made it appear more magical was the fact that there were strange rock formations, seemingly floating above the ground, holding moss and grass atop them. Strange shaped mushrooms and even rocks had found their way up along the bark of massive white trees, with moss and grass on those as well. Rubbing his eyes, he looked around to see a faint wisp of white haze covering much of the ground, though it wasn't thick enough to hide the grass which he had been standing on, neither below himself or even a ways ahead. Nothing looked the same as anything he had ever seen before, but... A strange, creeping feeling of familiarity began to slowly make its way into his mind. Unable to do much else in this floral surrounding, Hiro continued to look around, and eventually started to move forward, taking light, careful steps.
As he began to move forward, he soon saw more trees and rock formations, much like he had already seen. Though they all looked the same, it felt like they had their own essences about them; their own souls. As perplexing as it was, he found himself not questioning it, until something flew in front of his face suddenly. Double taking, he tried to focus on what it was before himself, but it managed to dart away far too quickly for him to truly see. His curiosity had been piqued, as he started to run after the object. Unsure of why he had started running, Hiro had begun a dash to see the creature that had appeared before his eyes, which then proceeded to vanish in one direction. He somehow felt faster, as he chased, able to move a bit faster than he normally would. Eventually, what felt like a minute of running, he began to see something in the distance. Unsure of what it exactly was, he found himself being more and more curious of the new object. It was moving, but it wasn't moving fast. This new spark in his mind had shifted from the blur that appeared just a little while before, and was now focused on the slower-moving one in the distance.
He gave pursuit, once again, whether he realized it or not. This time, it was at a more relaxed pace. He did try and keep his distance, though, so as to not startle this new being. It was something he hadn't seen before. At least, not in this place, which still felt so very familiar. Upon closer inspection of this new being, it looked to be a human of some sort. Or at least, it had held that form. It was carrying something in its hands. The human stopped eventually, kneeling down onto the ground. Hiro took this chance to get a little bit closer, and look on without too much distance. The human seemed startled at first, though it looked to him with peace. He could not see the face quite as well, as his vision had suddenly started to haze over. The Monk wasn't able to see this person, who had started to walk towards him at this point. His eyes shifted over to the thing that was in the human's hands, which was now on the ground. His vision was just about gone, but he could make out the outline of what it was. Hearing his name being said just a few moments after, with a few other words in between, he began to fade back into reality.
The thing he saw... A Potted Tree?
Hiro slowly began to open his eyes, his vision still uncertain. Letting out a slight groan, his body felt weak. It was like something had pressed down onto his body, with immense force, and he had been trying to push back for quite some time now. Eventually, his sight began to return more rapidly, and the first thing he noticed was Sayha, kneeling down beside him. "Sayha...?" He mumbled. While it had only been maybe a half a minute, it had felt like a solid ten to him. His body was still wavering, though he started to prop himself up, using his hands to push his body upwards. One could see the weakness in his arms at that moment, as he stumbled slightly, though managing to catch himself barely. A few moments later, he was sitting up, though he slouched forward. His mind had been spinning with questions. Why was he so weak right now? What was that blur he saw in that dream-like trance? Who was that person? The Potted Tree? He wasn't able to put much together at the moment, though his memory of just before he had collapsed returned quickly. His eyes widened, as he started to jolt upward into a standing position. Even this was too much for his body, as he fell over onto his side instead, pain surging through his tired body. A cringe appeared on his face, as he looked around. "Where are..." Hiro said wearily, his strength not yet returned. "Hecate and... Morgana...?" He turned to look at Sayha, and he immediately felt worry. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you at all?" His barrage of questions was followed by a searing pain that coursed through his body again, causing him to fall silent, and wait for a response.

Sayha waited... and waited… and waited. As she watched Hiro, she couldn’t help but worry. What had happened? From what Sayha could tell nothing abnormal had happened… though the fire… The fire that had covered Hiro hadn’t been what it had looked like before… what had caused it?
Sayha’s mind went back to the fight… and the voice that had been inside her head. Where had that voice come from? Sayha guessed it had something to do with the Living Nether… but there was more to it than that… it was almost as if there had been another version of herself in her head, in her consciousness… but how was that possible?
After a while, Sayha noticed Hiro stir. She immediately leaned forward to see if he was waking up. After a moment, he shot up into a sitting position, and Sayha leaned back. He muttered her name, trying to figure out what had happened. He asked about Hecate and Morgana after realized where they were.
“I killed Morgana just before you killed Hecate,” Sayha said, doing her best to keep herself calm, “Then you just passed out… I’m fine… for the most part.” That was the point Sayha finally checked her own hp. It was fairly low, staying about 40% but slowly increasing. “Though that’s not what you should worry about. Are you okay? What happened to you?”
Sayha was still incredibly worried about Hiro, and it showed on her expressions… which Sayha quickly realized. Sayha quickly stood up and walked over to where the Living Nether had been. It was definitely gone, and there was no trace of it. The water there was still sickly looking, and the walls were charred black by the miasma the Living Nether that had been there. “We should destroy this place,” Sayha finally said, “We should get out of here and get rid of it. We can’t take the chance that Hecate and her pawns find this place again. We have stopped them for the time being, but we’ll need to keep an eye out from now on I believe. I know I’m going to keep my ears open for any rumors that may have links to them. You might want to look into doing the same.”

[attr="class","capsol"] His mind was still clouded by what had happened before. Unable to think as properly as he normally would be able to, he had to slowly take in what it was Sayha was saying by this point. While it wasn't quite as bad as before, his head was still swirling around. Hiro just felt exhausted. Like whatever had happened just before had took it all out of him. He likened it to this one time, when he had decided to go bike riding, back in the other world, to go visit a friend for a bit, and help them out with something. He ended up crashing, scraping up his knee to holy hell, and a few people came out to help him from there. He didn't hurt all that much, especially considering he was just laying on the ground, but he really just felt like his body was suddenly hit with a fit of exhaustion. He recovered just fine from it, even still managed to get to his friend's house after a bit, but the feeling of just being utterly unable to move, whether of his own will or not, stuck with him. He blinked a few times, wiping the memory from his mind for the time being. He needed to focus on what Sayha was saying, since that was ultimately more important right now.
He let out a sigh, as she admitted that she was alright. He could feel his body lose a lot of tension, as his muscles relaxed. Possibly a bit more relaxed than they should have been, as he was just able to catch himself from flopping onto his back once more. Hiro's mind was able to focus more now, and he could understand what she was saying more clearly by this point. He shook his head a bit, still saying on the floor where he was. "I wouldn't worry too much over me, for now." Starting to get up, he stumbled a few times. Sayha had already stood up by this point, and had begun speaking of how they should remove this place. Hiro couldn't help but agree, especially if this place was to be used in a malicious fashion ever again. With something like the Living Nether having existed at all, it was too much of a danger to the rest of the world by this point. One look at the burnt black walls surrounding them was enough for Hiro to agree that this place wasn't in any kind of condition to be reused, let alone for the same malicious purpose. Now finally on his own two feet, he looked around a little bit more, specifically at the cages nearby. They were still empty, but he remembered something from earlier.
The animals in the cages from earlier. If they destroyed the cavern, then whatever was in there could be destroyed, right along with this place. An inner turmoil had begun to fester inside Hiro's mind, while a quick memory flew through his mind. Morticia, the Lander who had been enslaved in death to the witch Hecate, had also been one to suffer the same cruel fate as being something like a lab rat to the Heretic. Knowing that the beasts up above existed, Hiro couldn't consciously allow their unnecessary demise, without so much as a chance to see if they were even remotely conscious of their current livelihood. But... His gaze fell slightly. He saw what they were now. He conflicted with himself for the moment, erasing everything else from his mind, trying to figure out what would be the best course of action. However, in the end, he knew in his heart, he would lose countless hours of sleep over letting the possibility subside, without so much as a second glance. Sayha may see some kind of weakness in him for it, but he couldn't let the animals above die in vain.
"There's..." Hiro began, slowly. Guilt filled his voice, though he was not the one at fault. "There's something I need to do, first." He knew that the innocence of an animal, trapped and tortured, was one of his absolute weaknesses. Hiro would never stand for the ill-treatment of an animal, so long as he lived. It was just a fact of his life that he stood by, unwavering. He found the determination in his heart, and looked up with definite confidence, to the Assassin. "I need to see if those animals up above aren't without hope. I won't let something that may yet be saved, die without reason." He started to walk towards the entrance of the small opening they were in, stumbling slightly. "You can head on out of here, if you want. But, this is just something I need to do." He stopped after a few more feet, turning back, with a grim look about him. "I... I don't think I'll be long, though. If they can't be saved, then I'll destroy the cavern immediately. If they can, I'll get them out of here as fast as possible, before bringing this place down." He looked back ahead of himself, taking in a deep breath. As much as he wanted to just be rid of this place, there was something else he needed to do. One can call it a softness about him, but he prefers it to be a sense of what's right, in his mind. Confirming in his mind what he needed to do, Hiro started to move onward.

There was definitely something wrong with Hiro, but it was strange. His health and mana levels appeared to be normal… at least relative to this particular situation. He seemed exhausted… or maybe even beyond exhausted… but when he said not to worry about him, she ignored it. He was obviously not okay. It had to have been something due to the fire from earlier. However, then was not the time and place for that discussion.
As for destroying the tunnels, Hiro said that he had something he needed to do first… his voice sounded sad, and Sayha turned around to face him. He was standing by that point, but it looked as if he could collapse at any moment. He said he needed to release the animals from the cages… Sayha had honestly forgotten about them due to their brawl with Hecate and Morgana. Hiro said that she could leave and he would do what he needed to do. It sounded like it was something important to Hiro, which Sayha didn’t quite understand. However, it wasn’t something she was going to argue to him about. He started moving forward, but he still appeared to be rather weak.
“You must be empty minded if you think I’m leaving you alone in your condition,” Sayha said as she quickly caught up to him, grabbing her lantern on the way, “I’m staying with you whether you like it or not.”
As they walked out of the tunnels back out the way they came, Sayha chose not to speak really. There really wasn’t a reason to talk though, Sayha thought. The tunnels seemed to go by faster leaving then they had going in, and it didn’t take long for the two to arrive in the cavern where the deformed monsters were caged.
“Well Hiro, it’s your decision,” Sayha said, “If you want me to do something to help, let me know.”

[attr="class","capsol"] After his slight stumble, Hiro looked over to hear Sayha's remark. It seemed she didn't very much care for how he was acting, despite the obviously altered mental state he was presently in. The Monk's mind was still fixed on the subject at hand, in that the creatures upstairs needed to be dealt with. Whether they could be saved or not was the main issue there, and, as previously thought, Hiro wouldn't allow something to die meaninglessly. Either way, he knew that he wasn't going to change Sayha's mind when it came to accompanying him on this small detour. He did give her a bit of a wry smile, though withheld any sort of thanks that he should have given her. The time for thanking would be later, not now. Given that Hiro's mind was focused on one thing, but thinking about 6 other things simultaneously, he didn't have the mentality to be polite and courteous. Giving Sayha a second to catch up, the two of them started to go along the tunnel once more, backtracking to where the cages with the deformed animals and monsters were. They had to move slowly, though, given Hiro's current state.
He did take a moment to look back and see the state of the tunnels, as they continued through the system. There wasn't that much of a gradient from black to white, as there just seemed to be a point where the chalk walls had reverted back to their normal state. However, it did seem that the walls had darkened just a bit further from where they had seen it before. This worried Hiro a bit, despite knowing that the Living Nether had been removed of. The darkened chalk didn't extend that much farther from where it was before, but it did move a little. Either that, or Hiro's mind was still jumbled up with everything else that was going on in his mind. He tried to think back on it more clearly, though he couldn't focus on the thought long enough before his head started to sting. Giving a little cringe, he brought his right hand up to his head, as the pain swelled into a small pulsation. Just as quickly as the sensation had begun, it vanished, and his head stopped hurting. He took a staggered breath, though continued along in the tunnels. He felt bad for possibly worrying Sayha further, though he would certainly spend time just relaxing and getting his mind back in sorts after this was all done.
The two had reached the cages, though there wasn't enough light to see if anything was in the room at all. Sayha said her piece, and then remained silent. Probably waiting for Hiro to make his move, whatever it would be. He pulled the other lantern that he had brought along, since he had left the first one down in the cavern from before, and started to shine it over at the monsters in their cages. What he saw from there caused his heart to sink, and his eyes widened. The monsters were all laying in their cages, not moving, and completely still. He started to move towards them, shining the light on one individually. Nothing happened, and it remained where it was. Standing next to the cage, Hiro shined the light down onto the creature, and examined where its head was. The eyes were closed, and there didn't seem to be any movement at all. Closing his eyes slowly, he let out another breath. These creatures had already passed on, and were very much like Morticia. Reanimated corpses. After having killed Hecate down below, the incantations must have been cut off, with their owner having been defeated. There was no saving these monsters anyways, since they were already dead.
Anger and sadness welled up inside Hiro, culminating to his fists being tightly clenched. He said nothing, but his current emotions were very easily sensed. Though, his eyes looked up a bit, and caught sight of something behind the cages. Laying there was the cloth that Hiro had seen before. However, it wasn't black anymore. Raising the lantern up to get a better look at it, he could see that it had changed to white. Perhaps it reacted specifically to the existence of the Living Nether from before? Or maybe it had some other significant meaning behind it. Whatever it was, it seemed to calm him down, as he took a step back from the cages. "Looks like they were more of Hecate's puppets." Hiro said, in a soft voice. "There's nothing we could've done, if we tried." He felt the guilt well up inside him again, but caught himself before he got too sentimental. Turning around, Hiro looked to Sayha. "Let's bring this place down. After I hit the ground, I'm gonna use Call of Home, so come over here and we can get outta this tunnel." Extending his arm out for Sayha, he intended to warp them both back with one spell, after he attacks the ground. Trying to put on a smile, he waited for Sayha's reaction. Maybe... Maybe holding the one he cared about would ease his mind a little.

After Sayha had spoken to Hiro, he pulled out the lantern he had earlier. It illuminated the room much more than hers, and Sayha wished it didn’t. The corrupted monsters that had been in the cages were lying on their sides, unmoving. Hiro used his lantern and shone on each monster individually, but there was no response from the monsters.
Sayha wasn’t quite sure what to think except that there was something horribly wrong with Hecate. Somewhere in her state of delusion, she thought that she had the right to play God. It was disgusting, and Sayha had no intention of letting her continue. She would hunt down every one of Hecate’s schemes and dismantle them. There was no way the heretic was going to get away with it. She would have to set up an information web which shouldn’t be too difficult, especially since Londinium was the only Adventurer city discovered so far.
Hiro’s voice interrupted Sayha’s train of thought, and she agreed. The monsters were puppets of some sort, though there was no telling how they served their purpose. It would be something to check into at a later date… maybe not that much later though. Hiro then turned to Sayha. He said he was going to destroy the place, which is what they both wanted. There was no way they were going to let Hecate use this place once more. Hiro explained once he hit the ground, he would use the <Call to Home> spell to teleport them. Sayha nodded, mentally opening her interface. It immediately closed though when Hiro extended his arm to her. It caught her off guard for a moment, making her flush slightly. She had slightly forgotten that both of their spells went to different places… but there was more to it than that, Sayha thought.
After taking a slight breath, Sayha stepped closer to Hiro, gently taking his hand in hers. “Let’s get out of here,” Sayha said gently.

[attr="class","capsol"] There wasn't much of anything else for it. The monsters here, despite having becoming puppets for Hecate's disgusting scheme, were no longer under the effects of her spell. Despite how much Hiro wished for it to be the other way around, that Hecate was only a puppet and her strings could be severed when taking out a different source, he knew that the deed was already done. Anger flashed through his mind once again, though he managed to quell it for now. At this point in time, getting emotional wouldn't do much good at all. He decided to take a few deep breaths, as Sayha's hand reached out to his own, clasping it. Under other circumstances, Hiro would have probably flashed a bit of blush across his face for the incident, but there was a more pressing matter to take care of. Taking a deeper breath than the ones before now, Hiro inhaled more audibly. His eyes, by this point, had shut, as he focused on whatever he could use for a powerful technique. One strong enough to bring this whole tunnel system down, without too much trouble. But, clouded minds are difficult to think with.
As the thought of brutally attacking and destroying Hecate had occurred once more, he found it more difficult to focus again. Images of the dream-like state he had been put in beforehand seemed to keep flashing in his mind, unrelenting. The tree, the person, the fluttering image that appeared before him, everything. It still confused him, and it likely would continue to do so for a long period of time, until he can finally figure out just what it was. Until then, he tried to force the thoughts off to the side, as an icy blue mist started to form around his body. Eventually, it began to center itself around his right hand, which had been contorted into a fist. His goal was to use one of his more powerful attacks, Fist of Boreas, in conjunction with Tiger Echo Fist, which would hopefully deal enough structural damage to the environment. Just in case, though, he loaded up two more skills. Battering Ram and Megaton Impact, which he would use to strengthen his attacking power, specifically against the area around them. For now, though, he needed to charge up his attack just a bit more, to maximize the damage that would be put out.
After a few more moments of letting his chilling fist charge, he brought his hand up above himself. Letting go of Sayha's hand for a second, he wound his entire body back, and slammed his fist into the ground. Hard. So hard that the ground below them started to crack and crumble immediately. Almost instantly, the Monk felt a large amount of his anger suddenly vanish into the ground. Maybe hitting something as hard as he could actually did relieve some stress. Especially when it causes an almost-crater below them. As the entire system had begun to shake, Hiro reached back over, and quickly opened his inventory. Grasping Sayha's hand again, he shuffled through, until he found the skill he wanted to use. Calling it up immediately thereafter, effects started to surround the two of them, as they had begun to transport out of the tunnels. As their bodies slowly began to fade away from the underground warzone, Hiro remained moderately emotionless for the time being. Everything had begun to hit him in a more prominent way from there, as the realization of what had been happening swept through his mind. He would need to take some time off, and reflect on it all. Perhaps spend some time away from the city... Though, not for too long. As they vanished, he tightened his grip on the girl's hand slightly, feeling the warmth that came from it. It was... Soothing, somehow.
