This day, Kaos awoke with a greater sense of adventure than normal and a need to fight. Perhaps it was due to his constant studying and experimenting since his arrival to this new land. It was also likely that he just wanted more money for books, that way he could expand his library. He walked through the main gate of Londinium wondering what the day might bring him. As he made his way to the Bulletin Board in the town square he began to notice the town seemed fairly empty. What is going on?
The air filled with voices and laughter as Kaos approached the town square. A large crowd was gathering around a makeshift stage where, what sounded like a frail old man, was standing giving a speech. He was wearing a dark robe, one that resembled the night sky in color - an effect supported by several silver insets that resembled the stars. He approached a man near the back of the group and stood next to him, unable to hear the men as the crowd raged in disbelief. "Why is there a crowd forming over here?" The man turned to Kaos and shook his head. "That man is claiming to be a Sage of something called the Messier Order. What's more he is claiming to have found a tablet - or something- that is older than the Alvs. Ha! Crazy old coot, if ya ask me." Kaos put his hand on the man's shoulder and began moving through the crowd, pushing people out or his way. His hand instintively fell onto the hilt of his sword, Summoner's Fiend, as he reached the front of the crowd. "Old man, come down from that stage so we may speak!"
The old man stopped his speech and stared at the summoner standing before him. He nodded and obliged the summoner's request. ""I have been waiting for an adventurer to appear before me. I am Wilhelm a Sage of the Messier Order. My brothers and I have found an ancient stone tablet - a tablet that we believe to be older than the Alvs themselves."

"Tell me more about it. I haven't heard very much of your lore from the time of Alvs, let alone before." Kaos motioned for the man to come with him as he walked to a nearby cafe where they could sit down and have their conversation while outside in the gentle breeze. He smiled at the man and offered him a drink as he ordered his own Green Tea for himself.
"Thank you." The old man ordered his tea and told Kaos of the lore and history of the land as they slowly sipped their tea. "...Now our most recent discovery seems to date back before all of that even! It is a tablet, although heavily eroded and incomplete, we believe it to hold many secrets of our Ancient Ones."
"Where did you find this tablet? Could there be any other tablets or perhaps fragments that could complete this one?"
"We believe there are many more Fragments along the Thames coastline. The problem is, we are not sure where and the danger is to great for us Sages. Perhaps you could fair the journey better. Of course I wouldn't ask this of you unless I knew of a way for you to find the Fragments." The old man rummaged around in his robes for a second, most likely looking for his hidden pocket. He withdrew his hands from his robes with two bent pieces of metal. "These Diving Rods have been tuned to the magical aura of these fragments and should point you in the right direction."
Kaos smirked slightly, remembering the "divining" and "dowsing" rods of his world. A rod meant to find water or to track the magnetic field of the earth - some even claimed they could find magical lines that covered the Earth, called "ley lines". He reached forward and accepted them from the old sage, remembering this was a different world, with a very different set of rules. "I will do my best to help you Sage, as this may also help me on my research, and if nothing else - will help me understand more of this world." The sage seemed pleased with Kaos' response and told him where he might likely find any fragments along the Thames Coastline. With that Kaos paid for their tea and left for the Thames Coastline.
