There were days where having an information network were invaluable and incredibly helpful. Some days, much like that day, it was nothing more than quite annoying and less than useful… though those days were rare, being very few and far between. The reason it was quite annoying that day was due to a particular rumor spreading… and no one would stop talking about it.
The rumor was there was a Person of the Land that had three, THREE, roleplay subclasses. However, that was pretty much the only useful information Saiph was able to find out. He heard some other bits and pieces like the Lander was a medicine man or that his name was like Alastair or something along those lines. However, he heard no real confirmation. It seemed that no one could give him a real definitive answer on whether the rumor was true. Then again, they were called rumors for a reason. At this point, Saiph figured that there was only one logical answer in the end. He would just have to find out for himself.
The adventure into Avon did sound rather intriguing and rather interesting… however there was one slight problem. Saiph’s level. He definitely couldn’t make the journey alone. The only two other adventures her knew decently well were Sayha, the female assassin that seemed to have a grudge against certain heretics, and Dorian, a pretty nice Shaman he had met on a few occasions. He didn’t think Dorian would be up for such an exploration, and Sayha was marked as Busy on his friend’s list interface. That meant he would have to find a team on his own. The best place to look for a group was probably either Pattington Station where all the trains were or the Parliament Building where the banks were. The Station was pretty noisy so he figured the Building would be his best bet.
Saiph made his way through the streets from the Vybrand Academy guild hall to the Parliament Building. It looked as if there was a pretty decent crowd hanging around. After finding a spot along the side of the street where there was a bit of empty space.
“Hello everyone!” Saiph said as loud as he possibly could, “I’m looking to form a party to head into Avon to discover the truth about the Lander with the three roleplay subclasses. Would any of you care to join me on the adventure?”

While Darko was busy reading in an public library about the land that he was in, he overheard a group of people talking about something, or someone, peculiar, who happened to roam around the streets of Stratford. Darko just sighed while he listened on, thinking he might get something from the conversation of the group. But when the conversation veered towards unnecessary chatter about the mannerisms of clothing of the mysterious person, Darko stopped to listen to them and went back to his book. Gossips of such nature, that of talking about a celebrity, was just normal for casual adventurers and the people of the land, and he did not have an atom of interest on any such information about the particulars of some person.
But while he was searching from where he had left off on reading the book, he overheard something, from that group of people again, mentioning about how did that person they were talking about, when they analyzed him, had three roleplay subclasses. Now that was odd. Every person here, adventurer or person of the land, now excepting that person and others who intimately knew about him, had only one roleplay subclass. Now how the hell did that person manage to acquire the two other roleplay subclasses? Now he stopped to think about what he had gleaned from that group of people. The efficiency of a person with three roleplay subclasses would increase by far higher than those with only one roleplay subclass, since there would be far more skills to add to the arsenal of the former. It would not matter if what subclass would be added, what matters is what it can bring to the table.
Fueled by the interest he set out from the public library to confirm for himself the rumors about the person of the land with three roleplay subclasses. As he was passing through the Parliament Building, he heard someone call out. It was the voice of a male, but there was a feminine ring to the nuances.
“Hello everyone! I’m looking to form a party to head into Avon to discover the truth about the Lander with the three roleplay subclasses. Would any of you care to join me on the adventure?”
Darko searched for the source of the voice, and it seemed to come from behind him. Naturally he would not give a heed to other people, but the thought that he might need another hand to help in the search for the lander and what might be subsequent quests appeared to him. It might certainly help if he would join a party, but he really hoped that it would not be a disaster. He had partied with a lot of idiots, and inconvenienced him one way or another, and he hoped that the person there was not one of them. He then turned about-face and moved toward the direction of the voice, and then found a lone person at one side of the street at the front of the building. Moving towards the person he said, "Also searching for that lander with three roleplay subclasses? I will just hope that it is not a false rumor."

----- Mindell ----- tag: --- // words: --- // notes: --- "I, too, would like to join you, if that's quite alright," Mindell said, the crowd parting slightly as he stepped forward. His jacket hung from his right hand, draped over his shoulder as he walked forward, his pipe dropping from the corner of his mouth. He pushed his translucent glasses back up his nose as he began squeezing though the crowd.
He wasn't nearly strong enough to make the journey alone, by far, but this was an opportunity to great to pass up. Three roleplaying subclasses? If he could even acquire a single one more, it would mean for a huge advantage to him for his business. Idea's started darting through his mind light lightning bolts. Information Broker, Spy, Networker... All of these things and more could be achievable with just a single extra subclass, let alone two.
He slipped his jacket on casually and moved towards the man standing on the side of the street. He thought-clicked him as he approached and took in the gleaning information. It was almost second nature to him, now that he was getting used to it. It wasn't so much an actual motion as it was the thought of one. You simply... Pushed with your mind. Saiph... Sorcerer... Level 16... Obviously a Half-Alv... Guns, huh? Not usually a casters first choice. Interesting. He glanced at the other man, Scratch that, boy more like it. Let's see... Darko, another Sorcerer... Level 37, though. He's got skill, luck, or good judgement in party members then, at least.
Mindell himself really hadn't done much since coming here, but was definitely going to start making some changes in that particular aspect of his life. He knew his gear and level put him at a signifigant disadvantage over other party members as far as options go, but he still had his wits. In some, if not most cases, that's all that mattered.

Saiph’s announcement caused quite a few to look at him strangely, but he had expected nothing less. After all, he was the guy with white hair yelling that he was looking for people to join him. If no one had given him strange looks, he would have been worried.
After a moment, another sorcerer like himself made his way towards Saiph. It seemed that he too was looking for the Lander with the three subclasses, saying that he hoped that it wasn’t a false rumor. A second adventurer walked up as well. A Swashbuckler from his appearance. He said that he was interesting in joining him as well, not saying anything beyond that.
“Such widespread rumors do have a tendency to be false, but I haven’t heard anything to prove that the rumor was indeed false,” Saiph nodded, addressing the concerns of the other sorcerer, “That is why I’m looking to head up to Avon personally and find out firsthand whether it is real or not. I figured it would be saver to head up there with a group instead of going solo. And I would love to have you two join me. My name is Saiph, and I am of the Sorcerer class. It is nice to meet you… Darko and Mindell.” Saiph had read their names from his interface as he pulled up his Party frames. He sent the two adventurers party invitations and waited for them to accept them.
“The fastest way to get to Avon is to take the train from Pattington Station,” Saiph said once the party is in order, “If you will just follow me, we should be able to catch the next train heading north.” Saiph nodded at his two companions before turning and making his way out of the main market area and towards central Londinium where the station was located. It wasn’t too long of a walk, but Saiph kept his pace slower to make sure that he didn’t lose the other two.
Once he made his way to the station, he went in the main door and headed to the one of the further platforms. Thankfully, the train hadn’t left so Saiph got on first but waited for the other two to get on the train before finding a booth large enough for three. Once he did locate one, he took a spot after unclipping his rifle from its belt. Once he was sitting, he laid it across his lap.
“I should warn you,” Saiph said once the three were settled, “I personally have never been to Avon so I’m not entirely sure where everything is located. However, I think if we were to find an inn or market area we would be able to get some more information as to the location of the guy we are after.”
After a few moments, Saiph heard the train doors lock and felt the train moving. He got himself as comfortable as he could and waited to hear what his two companions had to say, if anything.

Darko just rolled his eyes towards the newcomer as he said he wanted to join in their conversation. This was not exactly a private conversation, and so he did not mind if anyone joined in, although he disliked crowds and did not want to hang out with a lot of people. He thought to himself as if he wanted to address this newcomer, although the thought was written all over his face, "All right, but do not do stupid things." He then scrutinized the two people before him, so that he could prepare for some plan regarding on what they should do to succeed.
The person who called out to form a party to investigate about the person of the land who happened to have three roleplay subclasses was a Sorcerer, based on the interface. But what was different about him was that he was using a rifle. Although Sorcerers could mostly attack their enemies with their spells at long range, seeing sorcerers that were using long-ranged weapons was uncommon, as Darko himself used throwing weapons to slow down his mana usage. And he was thinking that the rifle that was used by that person served the same purpose. For that reason, he should stay in the rear as the ranged DPS.
The other person, the one who joined them later, was a Swashbuckler, and a very typical one at that. As Darko looked at his level and his equipment, he thought that he could not withstand being a tank due to the starter equipment and his level. The same could be said about the Sorcerer anyways, and so he concluded that he should be at the fore when a fight would break up, as he was better equipped than the other two. Although it might seem awkward that a Sorcerer do tanking duties since a typical Sorcerer's HP is low, and in Darko's case, much lower than the normal distribution. But he had to bear with it since he had, most likely the highest HP count solely because of his superior level.
After Saiph answered to his response, Darko replied, in a tone almost devoid of emotion, "I would agree on that. If there is smoke, there is fire. The rumor would not surface without a reason. We do not even know what is out there, and so we should investigate as a group to hasten our progress." He then accepted the party invitation without further word, and then followed Saiph as he passed through the main market and towards the central station. As they finally boarded the train, he then said after listening to Saiph, "One thing that we can glean from this Alastair guy was that he was a travelling medicine man, so he must likely be wandering around Stratford selling his wares, or what some rumors say, giving away his wares. I would dare think that we can ask any person of the land in the city to know his whereabouts, since he might have established himself as a venerable person within the place, although we do not know what are his true motives."
