Like totally bad stuff. Having to do a quest to access her level one skill for her subclass? Absolute bovine feces is what that was. Such a simple mechanic and now Angelina was in a bad way. She was just trying to get a few random people of the land to maybe be so kind as to give her some gold. Little did she know that Adventurers had a less than amiable reputation with the people. That plus not being able to use her courtesan skill put her in quite the bind. “You adventurers are a scourge on the land,” The first of the three men she had tried to get gold from. “Sure we can't hurt you but we can still teach you a lesson, girl,” The second said. Backing slowly down the alley Angelina looked around for a way out. If she tried to start anything the royal guard would show up. That much she had already figured out from seeing a couple adventurers try to dish it out. Unfortunately she had tried to treat this like a game and the people of the land like other gamers. And now it was pretty obvious that they weren't which meant she would need a different tactic in dealing with them. “I'm really sorry. I'm just soooooo hungry and I only want a little gold to eat. Can't you pleas just spare a little gold~♥” Angelina asked, putting on her best cutesy face and clasping her hands in front of her. Unfortunately her efforts weren't working and the three men continued to press towards her. Angelina backed into a wall only to realize she was in a dead end, meaning she would probably have to try and fight... or something... those hazy days I do remember “Is there really need for that?”The trio turned as one at the quiet voice, and the leader flinched, another threat dying on his lips. Between the breadth of Auric’s shoulders and the heft of the generic starter plate armor, the werecat filled the narrow end of the alley solidly as a wall. By all rights the People of the Land should have heard him coming, but they were too distracted by their anger and the easy target to recognize the incoming danger. He took a deep breath to ground himself, inhaling the smell of wet stone and rotting garbage mixed with the sharp-sour notes of anger and fear. He recognized those emotions all too well. Auric’s golden-plumed tail lashed slowly back and forth as he advanced a step, lifting his head and narrowing his eyes. This body had felt strange at first, the unfamiliar body language as inevitable as water flowing downstream. Yet even in this short time it felt natural for a rumble to settle deep in his chest, lips parting to bare teeth in the most subtle of threats. The oldest of the three People of the Land was obviously the leader - a blacksmith by the burly arms, and scent of smoke clinging to them. There was unreasoning hate in the man’s black eyes. There would be no peace found here. On the other hand the the youngest of the three peered at the leader from under a shock of blonde hair, then back at Auric, fingers twisting in the hem of his heavy wool tunic. “U-uh…” The remaining man punched the blond boy in the arm, muttering a curse. A farmer, maybe, based on the straw dust clinging to his clothes, and the chapped sunburn on the back of his meaty neck. Just after they appeared in Elder Tale, the fighting had begun. The adventurers tore at one another like dogs gone rabid. If there was one thing Auric had learned in that time it was the power of a good bluff. Perhaps he was willing to risk a fight in the middle of town, perhaps not. There was no way for these thugs to know either way. “Hey,” he called to the girl at the other end of the alley, not taking his eyes off the leader as one hand settled on the hilt of his mace and the other gestured for the girl, “you want to come with me?”

[attr="class","bsmain"] [attr="class","bsimg"] [attr="class","bslyric"] [attr="class","bslmarg"]Just do anything[attr="class","bsltmarg"]I tell you to, OKAY?~♥[attr="class","bsbody"]What looked like a quick trip to the cathedral quickly took a one eighty spin. A looming shadow over the three people of the land. The source of which was a rather tall and muscular werecat. If his presence didn't draw the attention of the three men his words did. While all the attention was away from her Angelina took the time to quickly pop up her menu and look over who this other adventurer was. His current actions weren't as important to her as his other information was. A guardian, which made sense, though not as useful to her as a more damage oriented class would be. Though as a monk her role as a tank or DPS was more fluid than other classes. But for now she needed him to get her out of this situation. His usefulness after that could be determined later. Closing her menu Angelina looked back up at the other adventurer just before his eyes came onto her. It was so easy for her to put on her scared little girl face that she was doing it before even trying to. Wide eyes with tears in the corners, a quivering lower lip, a slightly bent posture to show meekness. All too easy, and this time it looked like she had run into a male adventurer. Like taking candy from a baby. “Um... y... y... yes please,” She responded to the werecat's question while nodding ever so slightly. "I... I don't think we should try and fight this guy,” the smallest of the three landers said to the other two. “The boy's right, as much as I am loathed to admit it,” the farmer said to the blacksmith, reaching up to put a hand on the man's shoulder, “we can't win this one.”The largest of the three snorted at the large werecat before him, his anger still obvious in both his actions and his eyes. Though he did see some form of reason as he stepped aside and began to press forward to get around the adventurer before him. those hazy days I do remember He stepped aside to allow the three to pass, ignoring the way the blacksmith jostled against him purposefully. Auri wouldn’t be goaded into a fight he didn’t want. Even if he held no more love for the People of the Land than they did for Adventurers. The blacksmith snorted loudly and spat, saliva spattering just short of Auric’s bare foot… paw… thing. Gross. His hands clenched at his sides, slitted pupils following them until they were out of sight. It was unbelievable that they couldn’t hear his heart hammering against the steel plate. “I’m glad we could settle this.”The People of the Land were numerous, and more than capable of taking down a lone adventurer. These three guys were a difficult challenge, but possible. If they decided to call for help though… Once they were gone he turned to appraise the girl. He wasn’t the least bit shy about summoning the display, and was surprised to see the tiny thing was a monk. Though in all fairness most people looked small to him. Auric scrunched his shoulders down a touch as he approached, trying in vain to loom less. The werecat had spent his entire time in the world thus far learning to adapt to his new height. That part was easier than the way some of the smaller adventurers shied away. “You okay?” He asked gently, careful not to smile. Smiles, in his experience, were less than helpful with a mouth full of fangs. “You should… probably not try that with the People again. They’re a little touchy with our kind.”Even as he spoke his ears were flicked back to the mouth of the alley to listen for footsteps. Things were quieter than they were at the start, but he still found himself jumping at shadows. Some guardian he turned out to be.

Little did she know that they weren't exactly what they used to be. Still though she wasn't their biggest fan. Just before the other adventurer looked back to her she put back up her facade of a cute yet scared little girl. It was time for her to perform her craft to the fullest. Keeping her posture meek and trying to look as small as she could she looked up, still quite literally. As the guardian approached, and appeared to try and make himself. Seem less... looming that he already was. Of course Angelina wasn't actually scared of him, and since he had saved her she had the perfect excuse to be cute and exploit his kindness. The white knight archetype was so easy to manipulate by playing the cute damsel in distress was probably the easiest thing she could do. “Y... y... yeah... I... I'm fine...” She said making her voice shaky and stuttering for effect, “I only just got here... I... I'm not sure what's going on... those men... they were mad at me for some reason... what's going on?” To help sell the effect tears started to well in her eyes as she looked up at the guardian while qivering her lower lip. It was a classic scared little girl face, but it worked wonders. @tag: x words: x Speech color: #ffae00 [attr="class","cred"]MADE BY VEL OF WW + GS[newclass=.bsmain]width:400px;background-color:#fbfbfb;padding:20px;border:solid 1px #eee;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsimg]width:400px;background:url('http://i.imgur.com/tZPA9wG.jpg');height:200px;border-bottom:solid #55a953 10px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslyric]font-size:20px;color:#55a953;font-family:georgia;text-transform:uppercase;text-align:left;padding:10px;line-height:30px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg]margin-top:71px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg span]font-size:38px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsltmarg]margin-top:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody]font-size:10px;color:#333;font-family:verdana;text-align:justify;padding:20px;line-height:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody span]font-size:9px;text-align:center;line-height:20px;opacity:0.9;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass]

I will be your sword and shield He looked away from the show of emotion and shuffled in place, not quite sure exactly how to help. Even in the other world he wasn’t exactly a social butterfly, but in this one he felt even less equipped to deal with this. Auri still felt scrambled sometimes, trying to process the inputs of his new body and the new expectations that it brought. He opted for just answering the question, tail twisting and flicking with discomfort. “None of us are really sure. A lot of us just woke up here.”A hand came up to rub over the back of his neck, as he let out a heavy sigh. “It doesn’t look like we can get out either,” he glanced at the girl to gauge her reaction, then looked away again before her expression could scatter his thoughts, “It’s been a madhouse. Some adventurers have completely lost it. Killing off players and the people of the land left and right. I… think they’re conscious. The people. At least enough to get mad when someone murders their friends. And they don’t come back like we do.”“Oh!” He perked up a little, gesturing to the sound of bells in the distance that indicated the time for noon prayer. “We still respawn in the Cathedral.”He shivered at the thought, remembering his own brushes with death. It felt so real when it was happening it almost didn’t matter that he knew death wasn’t permanent. The pain and fear were all too real, a chill that crept in and erased all that he was or would yet be. He shook himself out of that thought. Better not to dwell on it or else he’d giving up like some of the others already had. Greater than fear was the thrill of exhilaration. This was his beloved Elder Tale, and whatever fangs she had ready for him, it would be worthy of a thousand upon a thousand deaths. That excitement made him stand tall again, his ears perked like a cat spotting a mouse. He grinned down at the girl, patting her heavily on the shoulder. “It isn’t so bad though. It’s amazing here!"Auric thought that was suitably comforting, though the last person he'd said that to had tried to stab him.

With the way he was nervously shuffling about this guy had no idea what to do with a scared cute little girl. This adventurer, Auric by the name she had gotten from his profile, was the perfect gullible target. A white knight type but at the same time he was nervous and shaking around her. Which meant he was probably some nerdy gamer guy in the real world; someone who had never touched a real girl before. Not that in the real world she counted as a real girl anyway, but here she definitely was. “Yeah... I... I just made a character and suddenly I was in the game...” She said putting a bit of sadness in her tone to really sell it. Adding in a little sniffle and whipping away the tears from her eyes she nodded to the guardian. “Players were... killing each other? Oh no.... th... that's horrible! At... at least we don't stay dead... not like in the shows... but... it... it still has to be bad... to die... like... hurting really bad...”
So far Angelina hadn't seen any real combat in game so she hadn't actually died yet. Though knowing it wasn't permanent was nice. Still it didn't sound very pleasant to die in the first place even if she were to come back to life. Best to avoid that and let other people take the hits for her. After all she was just a sweet innocent little girl, she couldn't be expected to die in combat. And now it was time to bring out the big guns and deal the final blow. After this Auric would be completely under her metaphorical spell. As the guardian put a hand... or paw on her shoulder she jumped forward and wrapped her arms around his fury body. It was surprisingly soft and warm. “Thank you mister cat~♥” She said, mostly with excitement in her voice though also with a hint of sadness to properly sell it. @tag: Auric Stoneclaw x words: 333 (only half evil) x Speech color: #ffae00 [attr="class","cred"]MADE BY VEL OF WW + GS[newclass=.bsmain]width:400px;background-color:#fbfbfb;padding:20px;border:solid 1px #eee;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsimg]width:400px;background:url('http://i.imgur.com/tZPA9wG.jpg');height:200px;border-bottom:solid #55a953 10px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslyric]font-size:20px;color:#55a953;font-family:georgia;text-transform:uppercase;text-align:left;padding:10px;line-height:30px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg]margin-top:71px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg span]font-size:38px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsltmarg]margin-top:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody]font-size:10px;color:#333;font-family:verdana;text-align:justify;padding:20px;line-height:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody span]font-size:9px;text-align:center;line-height:20px;opacity:0.9;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass]

I will be your sword and shield "Oh! U-uh, yeah. You're welcome." Auri held his arms out from his sides as if he were wading in chest deep water, uncertain what exactly to do with his hands. He didn't feel like he had done much to warrant thanks - it wasn't like death was more than inconvenience when it came down to it. It still felt nice in an unsettling way, too flustering to really be enjoyable for what it was. Still he felt a warm emotion unfurl in his chest at that smile. It was rare that anyone make a face like that because of him, even before he was a giant cat monster. He patted her awkwardly on the back, which made for a natural transition to start gently prying her off without making it obvious that was happening. Smile or no, being hugged wasn't good for his heart. Safely extracted from the danger zone, he visibly relaxed, eyes and ears going back to scanning the environment. "There's probably a better place to hold this conversation," he said finally. There weren't exactly a huge number of safe places to hide in the city - all too many were already claimed in one way or another, and People of the Land didn't seem to like Adventurers hanging around whether they had paid to be there or not. He almost offered her his hand before thinking better of it, realizing that just because she looked young didn't mean she was, or that she needed the reassurance of a guiding hand. "There are some ruins we could hunker down in for a bit. That way, I think." He was already starting off in that direction, not waiting for her answer. The People of the land didn't watch him go, but they kept their eyes on their various activities - weaving, haggling, organizing their wares - in an almost studious way. It made the back of his neck prickle, as if their eyes were boring into his back only after he passed. The city was a powder keg, he could feel it in his gut. "If you want to come, you're welcome." Somewhere between hearing the conflict taking place in a dark alley and rescuing the girl, he had decided she was his responsibility. He could offer some respite, if nothing else.

[attr="class","bsmain"] [attr="class","bsimg"] [attr="class","bslyric"] [attr="class","bslmarg"]Just do anything[attr="class","bsltmarg"]I tell you to, OKAY?~♥[attr="class","bsbody"]It was an act, but it was one that Angelina had practiced. Of course in the past it was all over voice chat so she didn't need to actually hug people or make sure to physically act cute. Of course that didn't mean she didn't know how. On the rare occasions that he had left the house in the real world he would play up his feminine appearance to his advantage. As for now, Angelina guessed that most of the people trapped in the game were nerds who would be incredibly easy to manipulate if they say a cute girl. As Auric started to pull her off of him she didn't make any attempts to keep the hug, nor did she entirely let go. She was sure to make it seem like she was reluctant to leave the hug but not desperate to keep it. Looking up at him with wide eyes she took notes on his behavior It seemed like he was looking for something, or perhaps it was more he was looking to make sure nothing happened. It made sense if the People of the Land were, in fact, as spiteful to the adventurers as he had said they were. “Oh, okay~♥” Angelina said as she started to follow the guardian towards what he said would be some ruins they could hide in. As she was an idea popped into her mind. He was a guardian, and a werecat, and a lot bigger than she was. Plus she was a monk and pretty light. She knew she wasn't an acrobat but this wasn't a hard feat to pull off, especially with the armor Auric was wearing. Getting a running start she jumped up into his back, using his armor hand holds she climbed up him until she could properly perch herself on his right shoulder. It was a little difficult though not as much as she expected. Putting a big grin on her face and giggling she looked down at Auric. She wasn't exactly sure how he would react but something like this wasn't a game of exacts. When manipulating people you learn what kinds of actions will get a range of responses and try to mix and mach your words and deeds to get a more general result. That is until you know the person well enough to know how to get a specific reaction. @tag: x words: x Speech color: #ffae00 [attr="class","cred"]MADE BY VEL OF WW + GS[newclass=.bsmain]width:400px;background-color:#fbfbfb;padding:20px;border:solid 1px #eee;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsimg]width:400px;background:url('http://i.imgur.com/tZPA9wG.jpg');height:200px;border-bottom:solid #55a953 10px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslyric]font-size:20px;color:#55a953;font-family:georgia;text-transform:uppercase;text-align:left;padding:10px;line-height:30px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg]margin-top:71px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bslmarg span]font-size:38px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsltmarg]margin-top:-5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody]font-size:10px;color:#333;font-family:verdana;text-align:justify;padding:20px;line-height:20px;[/newclass] [newclass=.bsbody span]font-size:9px;text-align:center;line-height:20px;opacity:0.9;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred]text-align:center;font-size:6pt;color:rgb(132, 132, 132);letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;margin-top:5px;[/newclass] [newclass=.cred a]color:rgb(132, 132, 132);font-size:6pt;letter-spacing:1px;font-family:verdana;[/newclass]
