It hadn’t been long after they had announced an operation moving into the area known as Sarum, there would most likely be a few new bloods coming, with the camp being rather empty, Aeon found himself sitting on a fence near the mission board, wondering if he could find any other lonely souls who didn’t have friends to squad up with and head out. Aeon had planned to do scouting first it would make most sense to firstly discover what your foes are and secondly get to know the ground here I wasn’t smart to get caught without knowledge of anything, of course Aeon himself lacked any decent skills to actually make notes on the new maps properly, his main role was really being A: able to blast things away and B mostly stay alive in a fight. It would be useful if he could acquire a pathfinder and a scribe, those in his mind would be prime for this operation, one to identify the safe paths and the other to take down notes. It would most likely be better with less players as it would make them harder to detect and definitely moving in single file was the way forward it was a good way to conceal your numbers. Stars Wars had mentioned something like this the group known as sand raiders, on tatooine. They would travel in a line matching each other’s tracks. Of course, Aeon didn’t plan to go to deep there was a lack of high level players at the moment even he had been focusing on all 3 of his classes rather than just his primary so his level was rather standard throughout each of the 3. Aeon had more or less started daydreaming in his thoughts. Word Count: 292 Arrasi tehm

UNKNOWN SONGS THAT TRAVELERS SING THEY SOUND FAMILIAR TO ME | This was a perfect opportunity for Arrasi – gain some EXP, make some friends for future parties, the works. She kept reminding herself of this as she paced back and forth in the camp. Despite her usually bubbly attitude that she called on in social situations, she found herself fretting over every little uncertainty she came across. Her levels were dreadfully low across the board. Would anyone even want to take a Level 1 Bard with them on a mission? She had already decided not to go on the actual combat mission – she would just get in the way. Scouting was a more reasonable option for her. The odds of her being sent back to the Cathedral were far lower than actually diving into the dungeon. Besides, it would give her an opportunity to work on her Courier and Scribe skills. Even when she wasn't delivering packages, she could still access some of the perks of her subclasses.
Of course, there was still the problem of attaching herself to a party. Many others were in the same boat as her: a little lost and alone since the Elder Tale English server was still new. Not many guilds had formed yet, and relationships were all still in the early stages. Arrasi was already doubting the success of this entire escapade. Maybe the more elite gamers would be able to handle all this, but as for her, she just wanted to make sure she lived through it. It would be a shame to go through all the trouble of scouting only to lose all the EXP gain in the field to a stupid mob. She'd have to find a good team willing to babysit a noob for a bit, then maybe she could repay them with valuable Bard services later. Who didn't want a little musician running around firing up their attacks? Okay, a lot of people probably didn't want that, but Arrasi believed Bards could still be useful despite the amount of distaste many players had exhibited in other games she had played.
With a deep breath, she finally looked around the camp to see if there was anyone she might be able to work with. Her eyes settled on a lone Sorcerer, <Aeon> Lvl. 13. He didn't look like he would tear her apart (unlike some of the rather monstrous players she hoped had opted for the combat mission). After a few seconds, she bucked up enough courage to walk over and ask a simple question.
”Are you going on the scouting mission?”

It had been nearly an hour now.
Tehm continued following the little bard he had met in the swamp at a distance.
(What is she doing?!?)
This was unexplored territory. Even tehm had barely explored the new 'Sarum' zone in search of a waxwood, and he expected at this point he had explored further into the forests than any other adventurer. Tehm had no real reason to be following the little bard--this was just an avatar, an in game expression of the character that the girl had chosen to play, yet the thoughts of the tiny bard getting ambushed in a high-level zone kept him moving.
Tehm paused as Arrasi slowed to a walk. She was well out of the range of his battle perception, so he had few clues to go on, but her footsteps sounded different; as if she had stepped into a clearing of some sort. Tehm straightened his back and began walking casually in the direction of the bard. Stepping out of the forest into what seemed a small encampment, tehm hailed the girl.

Aeon found himself suddenly shadowed by someone, as he raised his hooded head and looked up at what seemed like what could be well a small. He was rather surprised anyone would approach him, first of he was hooded, secondly he had a mask on a metal mask, of course he assumed that just the hood would put people off. It was clear that Aeon was one of the least “scary” people in existence being rather thin and not the bulky tanks like some were. What he thought must be some new player kid, had asked if he was going on a scouting mission. Aeon said in a somewhat muffled tone from under the mask “I guess you’ll do kid, you seem to have some useful subclasses” as he scrolled over the info on the character. “There’s no going back, keep up if you can, with your low rank avoid any fights”
Aeon stood up dusting himself down, he had already identified what seemed to be a suspicious man who was kind of following, who seemed to be questioning, maybe some kind of pervert following a kid around, he didn’t know but Aeon wasn’t in the mood to wait around as he had been sitting there for a good while. Aeon began heading off into the wilderness to begin the operation, of course he hoped to others would at least keep up, he wasn’t in the mood for waiting and was taking the vanguard position to make sure no hostiles lied ahead. UNKNOWN SONGS THAT TRAVELERS SING THEY SOUND FAMILIAR TO ME | Well, that went better than expected. Arrasi had been fully prepared to make a case for her involvement to this player, but he seemed to understand where she was coming from immediately. That was convenient. Maybe he was just impatient. Waiting around all day for a team seemed like a poor use of time when he could just drag a few players out with him and take as much EXP as he wanted. No wonder he had told her to avoid the fights. Oh well. He seemed to want her subclass skills more than her combat ones, anyway, so at the very least she could get some points for those while she was out.
Then there was the problem of the Monk. How long had he been following her? Aeon didn't appear to notice Tehm's presence, or he just didn't mind it. ”I'm going on a scouting mission with Aeon,” Arrasi explained to him as she turned to follow the Sorcerer into the forest. Tehm showed no signs of staying behind in the camp. He was coming along, and she doubted she would be able to convince him otherwise. At least his Pathfinder skill would be helpful despite his apparent lack of awareness of his surroundings....and his strange obsession with trees.
As Arrasi walked, she pulled a piece of parchment and a pen from her inventory and began to take notes on their surroundings. Her map was on a menu to the side; she would make a mark on it every now and again. Because she had placed a checkpoint marker on Aeon, a blinking dot was always just in front of her location on her map. At least she couldn't get lost, but Tehm was going to be a different story. Arrasi couldn't help checking over her shoulder every few steps to make sure he was still following along. Even though he was an oddball to her, she didn't want to see anyone sent back to the Cathedral today. With all the distractions, though, Arrasi was finding it difficult to keep moving along through the forest. She stumbled a few times but always caught herself before she could completely fall down. This trip was going to be a challenge. She wanted to trust Aeon to know what he was doing, but she wasn't entirely certain if he had a plan yet or not.

Notes: Took a little liberty with Tehm just so that we could keep things moving along. Hope that's okay.

Tehm paused in the clearing at Sarum torn by indecision. He had no idea who this man, 'Aeon', Arassi was following was, but judging by his words he was a higher level adventurer confident of his ability to handle any encounters one would be expected to find in an area such as this.
That should be plenty, Arassi was now in good hands, and 'why was she his responsibility anyways?', thought tehm. For all he knew, "she" could be a middle aged man the same as him.
(...because she seems to be the same age as my daughter would have been...)
(No. There's no reason for me to worry about her any longer. I should just continue mapping out Sarum. There's no reason to worry about her any longer.)
Tehm remained in the clearing. Although there was no longer any reason to worry about the bard, maybe following them was not a bad idea anyways. Perhaps this new player would blaze a path through the monsters, allowing tehm to map a relatively encounter-free path through the zone. Besides, if the adventurers did bite off more than they could chew, then tehm could always jump in to help out...
Hearing a loud "cracK' as the adventurers forged their way through the woods of Sarum, tehm set into motion.
(If everything looks to be ok I can always forge my own path later. There's no reason not to follow them for at least a little bit...)
After scampering nimbly through the forest, towards the sounds of the two adventurers, tehm slowed to a walk. Taking the large gourd fastened at his waist free of its tether, tehm took a long drought of the watery beer common in "London" before carefully reattaching the container.
Switching his walking stick back to his dominant hand, tehm resumed his quickened pace stopping only briefly at a tree here or there which might have been of a type unknown to the outskirts of london. Word Count: 327

The forest was ancient, trees had great creepers of ivy enveloping them, The Olds Mans Beard draped down, looping across the ground through brambles. These thing were a pain in real life, but of course in this world we were far stronger than are real selves and could actively walk around with weapons. As he cut through it with his sword. Aeon turned his head back and said “keep a good spread, the closer we are the easier we are to spot, If we aim for a ridge line, we can get a better view a bit like an eagles, then we can observe what’s going on down below” Aeon doubted those rumbling piles of earth come through here they would leave clear tracks and trails due to their sheer size and bulkiness, a bit like animal trails it aloud you to possibly track them by following common paths if you could find them. As he made his way deeper, Aeon stopped choosing not to leave the tree line that would lead out to the ridgelines, I was better for him to observe from the background and the shadows.
