Tessia had messaged Kumori about the quest the alchemist NPC gave her about 30 minutes ago. She was waiting for him just next to the city gates. Adjusting her large battle ax on her back, she shifted a little from foot to foot. She was worried about him after all, as the last time she talked to him he was recovering from the shock of this new world.
Getting a little impatient she was, even pacing a little back and forth as she waited. Thinking of how he would fight, she thought back to when she met him. Wondering about his weapon skills, choice of weapon, talents? Hoping she could at least keep up with him, she would have to be sure to practice more later on. What was taking him she wondered. She had a nervous habit of tugging at her loose hair that hung off to the side of her left cheek, the braid had already become unfurled, why did she even try?

| Kumori HP: 100% MP: 100% | "In order to live, I will continue to fight. In order to retain my humanity, I will continue to destroy those who mean to harm my friends." |
Kumori received a message. With deft skill, as if now a pro, he accessed his messages and pulled it up. The message popped up in front of him on his heads-up display. He read it and smiled. With a single flick and speaking his reply, he picked up his equipment that he had placed down in order to rest. Taking a last look-around to make sure he did not leave anything, Kumori was on his way to meet up with Tessia. The training was informative, as it seemed like he was able to learn how to use his skills and how to fight proficiently without using the command menus. It was tedious to do so, and since reality had merged with the game, it meant that he was still able to fight and act normally as he would in real life.
Kumori ran as fast as he could towards the designated meeting spot. When he arrived near the area, he noticed that her hair was becoming unbraided. He was rather confused, since he didn’t feel like he was that late. Well he did leave right after he got the message, but maybe he dallied a little too long. As he finally showed up behind Tessia, he tapped her on the shoulder, curious of her reaction. He had used his <Silent Walk> skill in order to sneak as quietly as possible to get to her. While Kumori was a kind person, he had a bit of a troll in him as well, and so he couldn’t pass up the opportunity. OOC NOTES: 259 words

She was just adjusting her braid and re-tying it as she felt the tap. Gently Fastening a small bead on the end of her heir, she spins around and smiles at Kumori. "Hi there!" she said jovially, giving his head a soft noogie. "Your a sneaky sort, going to have to pay you back for that one." She grins playfully but then brings up her menu involving the quest, her expression now of simple determination."Here's the quest, we are to go take out three Dull Green Slime's for a alchemist NPC. Since we are both Assassin types, I think it would behoove us both to go over our choice tactics, and how we will use them."
She reaches back and brandishes her large Battle Ax for Kumori to see. "I prefer heavy swift single strikes, and i really only have the skill Accel dance to go by right now. Using it more and more speeds me u further and allows my ax to strike much faster and let me move faster too. But you know this already. Sorry heh.", laughing a little nervously as she did already explain this in her crash course of the system, she replaces her ax atop her backs holster. Looking Kumori over, she realized she still didn't see any apparent weapon on him, though he might just have it put away.
Thinking that out of the both of them, she could cause more damage then him most likely and would have to draw the attention of the slime's. Thankfully, being a Race of Ritual, her mana crescent moon marks on her body glow faintly when she uses her skills. This would aid in gathering them together for more focused fighting. On the down side, her HP was really low, and she had to put more priority into dodging and striking once and with finality. She awaited patiently for Kumori to understand her and to reply.

Kumori lowered his head as the hand made contact to the top of his head and the knuckle pressed firmly onto it. His left eye closed and his shoulders raised, trying to endure the pain as much as possible. While it was soft and did not hurt too much, he still didn’t like the feeling of noogies. “Ow, ow, ow,” he said, “Sorry, I won’t sneak on you again,” rubbing the top of his head and wincing slightly.
Tessia had told him that their quest would be to fight three Dull Green Slimes in order to complete the quest. It was apparently for some alchemist lander. While slimes were rather easy to kill, they had somewhat of a natural defense against physical attacks, which made sense. They were slimes, and so they conform to whatever shape they want to be in. It didn’t bother him too much, but he was still wary of what may go wrong in situations like these. He still did not want to test the death system, even if people had come from the Cathedral. He knew it wouldn’t be a good feeling to die, and he’d rather not experience it if he didn’t have to.
Tessia had suggested that they go over each other’s abilities so that they would know how to help each other tactically. She had explained to him why she was using such a huge battle axe. While normal Assassins usually used daggers or swords, it wasn’t uncommon to see Assassins use something else. It all depended on the style of play each person wanted to play. Kumori followed the normal template of Assassins. As it was his turn to present his weapons, he unsheathed his dagger from his lower back and presented it to her. “I specialize in doing as much damage in successive attacks as possible, however since I am using a dagger, to capitalize on damage, I started with Deadly Dance, since daggers usually have smaller damage values, but with the ability to hit faster than other weapons.,” he explained to her.
It was good to know what type of player she was like. He continued by saying: “I also prefer guerilla tactics and hiding in the shadow, though my abilities are limited to what I have. While I will try to stay true to that style of fighting, it would be nigh impossible to keep it up with my lack of levels and skills, so I will be fighting normally like a warrior, on the front lines as that is what I am capable of doing at the moment,” he told her.
“So shall we go?” he asked, bowing and waving his hand ahead of him to allow her to take the lead.

"So, you dont mind being the distraction then? I would bet you would be faster then me." She took the lead and gave him a soft smile, shouldering her large ax and trotting along. As they made there way to the city gates, Tessia motioned to her ear and sent the telepathic message. "Lets avoid using speech for obvious reasons, the quicker this is over the better. I will move ahead quietly as you stay visible." With a nod, she slipped silently into the surrounding brush cover and moved along.
Slowing for a moment to take in her surroundings, she felt the familiar warm glow of the sun, smelled the scent of the leaves and wet furs of animals nearby, and attuned her ears to the noises all over. Listening, but not so much watching, Tessia followed Kumori's progress along the beaten open path through the trees. She kept her stance low and moving along as softly as she could manage.
She heard it and halted her progress, sending her message to Kumori if he hadn't already noticed. "Just ahead. I can hear them wobbling around. Three I think. Ready when you are." She slipped silently towards the brush edge and slid her ax off her back, taking a moment to breath and lower almost belly to dirt. Relaxing ehr leg muscles and concentrating, Tessia watched as Kumori came just around the bend to were the slime's bounded around. She waited for her moment to rush out with Accel Dance to take full opportunity of her partners distractions.

Tessia told him of the plans of staying quiet and hidden. Of course that was the best option. They were both assassins after all. If they did not hide well, what kind of assassins would they be? He used his Tracker Skill, <<Silent Move>> in order to diffuse any sound he would make. That way he could get to his intended target without drawing aggro, so long as he wasn’t seen. He jumped on top of a tree and began jumping from branch to branch, making sure that his skill was still activated. Any sound that he made, it would ruin their plans and they’d have to improvise. When Tessia told him of their location, Kumori dropped down to the forest floor and looked ahead of him. “Perfect...” he muttered under his breath.
His eyes locked onto the last target, the one that was the furthest away from him and slightly lagging behind the group. He got into a sprinting position, and without hesitation, Kumori had already attacked the third slime from his position using the <<Quick Draw>> skill. Right as he used his attack, he used <<Hide Walk>> in order to disappear from plain sight. This confused the slimes, as they did not know where the attacker had gone. Kumori then spun around, using his <<Deadly Dance>> in order to hit the second slime, dealing extra damage because of his <<Hide Walk>> and then finally ending his attacks with a usage of <<Accel Dance>>, attempting to do as much damage using both of his daggers on the slime, striking as fast as the skill would allow. The attention now completely shifted on him. It was time for Tessia to come and clean up the mess. Kumori did decent damage to all that was around him, doing significant damage to the second of the slimes, but only some to the third slime, and medium amount of damage to the first slime. While he could have probably destroyed one on his own, he figured that having a second person to clean up was beneficial and would lessen the damage taken by the both of them if they could both do enough damage to kill them in one attack. He hoped it was enough, and so long as more mobs didn’t show up, they were probably going to be alright, but who’s luck is that good anyways?

Sliding sideways little and watching Kumori as he blurred by, striking the slimes swiftly, she planned her attacks. Accel Dance would be useful in speeding her ax's movements and striking for heavier damage against the slimes. Slipping silently towards the edge of the brush, she watched as Kumori was attacking the final slime. All of them have taken a good deal of damage, it was her turn now.
Activating Accel Dance, Tessia burst out of her coverage to attack the slime with medium damage already on it. Steeping up short, she lashes out with her large weapon, smashing into the slime and causing it to crumble into data from the damage. Shouldering her ax, she takes a low stance and bends at the knees, readying her second strike against the other two.
Stepping forward and bringing down her ax off her shoulder as if she were chopping wood, she takes out almost all of the next slimes hp, it begins to hop about turning to see who struck it. Rolling back into cover, Tessia hoped she at least caused enough of a distraction so that Kumori wouldn't be too hard pressed. Resuming her Silent Move, she slips away from the area a little, noticing the slime was following her into the brush, a comical mad face on its features. She had to resist giggling.

It seemed that Tessia had drawn away the slime after disposing of the one he did the most damage to. Ryuu was glad that she was able to take care of the one that was focused on him. Kumori dashed forward, ready to strike with his knives, jumping up to dodge the oncoming attack that the slime attempted to hit him with. He laid a barrage of dagger strikes upon the slime, doing as much damage as he could and finally the slime had burst into sparkly bubbles. With the splash of sparkly bubbles, Kumori sheathed his dagger and awaited for Tessia to finish her slime as well.

A crooked smile on her face, partly due to the silly expression of the slime, Tessia slinked backward into the brush a bit more. Cross-stepping and lowering her stance, she levels her ax atop her back and felt her legs coil up like a spring. She had used this strike before against a large wolf that had cornered her in her youth, and she hoped it would serve her well again.
Watching the slime wobble forward, she bolts forward and so close to the ground she almost trips. Dodging to the side as the slime lashes out at her, barely nicking her shoulder, she spins and snaps her ax pommel into the slime. Nodding as the bouncy form of the body shoved her back, Tessia moves with the backward momentum, allowing the push to heave her ax high above her head.
Letting Accel Dance take over yet again, she brings the ax down hard in a wide diagonal slash, taking out almost all of the slimes hp. Spinning in place with the added speed of Accel Dance, she leaps up and brings her ax around full circle. Using all of her body weight and the centrifugal force of the swing, she snaps the ax around and straight down.
Neatly cleaving the slime in two, Tessia almost floats in midair temporarily as the body dissipates. After a moment, she lands atop her ax and sighs a bit, getting to her feet a little unsteadily. "Heh, that was fun right?" she said, smiling at Kumori noticing that he had watched her midair pivot. She honestly hoped she didn't look like she was showing off.

Kumori watched as Tessia cleaved the remaining slime in half. He watched as she activated skills very similar to his own. From first look, one would doubt that she was an assassin since she used a battle axe. While it did lack finesse, it did not bother Kumori in the slightest. Each player wanted to make their own mark as whatever they were. He could not judge them, rather all he could judge was himself and whether he was playing how he wanted to play. He was an Assassin, and he would not forget that. He walked up to his comrade in arms and nodded to her. “I guess this means we finished our quest?” he asked. He waited for Tessia to lead the way as he wasn’t sure who she got the quest from. This would allow them to get their reward and experience for their ‘troubles’ of defeating the slime. “So where to next? I assume it’s time to turn in our accomplishment for our rewards?” OOC NOTES: 168 words

"Ahh yes um, we need to head back and make the report to the alchemist. He will be pleased at least." Tessia stopped for a moment, a look of deep thought crossing her facial features. That's right. The People of the Land now were far more expressive then they were before. She had heard of it from some of her classmates before she started playing, that the People seemed far more human-like this time around.
She turned to Kumori and looked at him, about to say something but stopped, they had a mission to finish. "Yes um.....back we go." She took the lead, hoping that her expressions didn't give away too much, she was worried about it all right. Always the one to keep her problems to herself, less they bother others and hinder her own ability to lend full ear to her friends. Leading the way back to the Town, Tessia manages to track down the NPC alchemist that had given her the quest.
After it was all sorted, she turned to Kumori and smiled cheerily, even though she was sure a bit of worry still nagged at her expression. "Well, that's that. Thanks for coming along, I hope the reward was well worth it for you." Another small smile and she began to move off, hoping Kumori and her would team up again, perhaps when they were a bit more leveled and experienced. Waving happily, she departs from the party and heads to the Inn for some more information gathering.
