i wonder if it's just me or who knows but i was wandering how do you exactly research all this stuff about alchemy because i have some ideas about new items for it and a new way of making a weapon during combat stronger through alchemy but at a cost also and i was wondering if anyone is actually doing anything to alchemy?
and if possible can you tell me about this mysterious force thats stopping the story from progressing, do you have a plan of how to solve the problem (i highly think you do but), but i also have a way of tying plan of how to how to 'destroy' the mysterious force
i have a bit more but sorry if i'm wasting your time or anything~

Level 1-10 Alchemy is about learning how to use mana as energy. The mysterious force is a plot lock. Complete the storyline (get the Sarum mission %s up) and it'll be lifted in a storyline quest.

one of my thoughts were a attack item called "Magic Grenade" and "Magic Star", also a new substances called "liquefied magic" and "elemental Mana crystals"
Magic Grenade is basically what it is by the name, a little bundle of compressed magic essence inside a capsule that you throw, resulting in a small to massive explosion depending on how much you use in terms of magic crystals and the type of metal that you use to craft it out of, this requires the expertise of an alchemist and a blacksmith (the Mechanic will be needed also for the level 8 and up aswell), if you show them the schematics for the casing and the pin-lock that holds the compressed magic inside, the explosion that results after chucking the weapon will also release a substance which will poison the nearby life called a "psion cloud" (or magic cloud), meaning it can hurt not only specific types of monsters but also mainly hurts the adventurers aswell (or what ever class there in), the level on the parts that you make the Grenade with will also change the damage and radius of the "psion cloud" aswell, so keep that in mind if you're about to chuck a level 10 because the radius is huge! (can be speed crafted with levels 1 to 8, but not for level 9 and 10) the parts to make a level 1 grenade is:
2 Stabilized Mana Fragments, 1 Old Diode, 1 Old Filament and 2 of any refined metal (preferablely tin or copper at starting levels like 1 to 4)
level 3-6 is about:
3 Stabilized Mana Fragments, 1 Old Diode, 2 Old Filament and 3 of any refined metal (preferablely iron or steel at levels like 5 to 7)
but the later levels (like 8 to 10) require liquefied magic instead of mana fragments (liquefied magic is made by 1 Stabilized Mana Fragment and 1 mana fragment and one Unstable Mana Core using friction to combine it to make a chain reaction)
and so on and so forth~
Magic Stars are the "upgraded version" of the Magic Grenade, which basically just adds a elemental type buff on it, gives of a little less "psion cloud" upon explosion and has a bit smaller reaction time than the Mana Grenades, the Mana Stars require a special type of mana crystal known as "Elemental Mana crystals" which are needed to make them but sometimes there quite hard to find though, but don't just make Magic stars with the elemental crystals because they can also can be used for other thinks like making new types of weapons (like "psion Sabers" for samurais), to making new and interesting furniture aswell, but at the moment i'm typing about Magic stars, so instead of chucking the Star, the Star propels itself by some of the magic released from all points of the 5 sided star, and yes it is quite simple to make:
instead of Stabilized Mana Fragments you need Element Mana crystals (which can be crafted by putting a Stabilized Mana Fragment and a special flower known as the "magical orchids" that can be brought from the shopsat a fairly high price, and the farmers can rarely grow them probably?)
level 1-3: 3 Element Mana Crystals, 1 Old Diode, 2 Old Filament and 4 of any refined metal (need a blacksmith to help construct it though)
(max level for Magic stars is level 8 though)
if anything here interests you i don't mind explaining more in detail (you can add them or change it however you wish but i'll like the idea to be the same if possible)~~
EDIT: the grenades don't destroy physical things! (coz there made out of mana! they basically just "over loads" poeples capacity to hold mana and kills them by doing so) and this idea (apart form "liquefied magic" and "elemental Mana crystals") are still a work in progress for me -_-'' just so you know this is not the final design for them at all
