[attr="class","quest"] -|-Quest-|- Adventurers have been summoned and are being sent to a nearby cemetary. There, they are to exorcise the lingering souls which haven't found peace. Do so swiftly, or they may become violent.Party: - Saber - 90 - Assassin - Nisha - 52 - Samurai Do you believe in ghosts? A light yawn escaped Saber’s lips as he stepped over a hole in the road, hopping over the gap as to keep himself from stepping into it and potentially landing on his face a few moments after stepping down into it. The Assassin was tired, but he wasn’t blind. The world around him was growing dark and the sun was setting on the second day of the Assassin’s long training grind, but his eyes were still sharp. His senses pulsed, full of their sensory abilities as he kept himself on high alert even though he was barely a hundred meters way from the safe zone. However, doing so made him even more tired and that made him feel extremely weird. Saber was used to feeling tired towards the end of his second day of fighting without rest, but he had never felt this exhausted. In the past, Saber used to be able to last a minimum of three days before he felt like death was about to grab and pull him down. This time, he was feeling it after just forty-eight hours of activity. That single fact made Saber wonder… had he worked a little too hard?
In his usual circuit, Saber stuck in the Londonium sector and fought a lot of the lower level creatures. He killed rabbits, boars, and slayed several birds. Then, once Londonium was cleared of a huge percentage of enemies, he went to the nearby marsh. There, he slaughtered Goblins, crocadiles, and some of the courageous cave dwellers which dared to come out of their shadowy holes. The marsh usually didn’t take long to clear, and took at max six hours before Saber had overstayed his welcome. But the next zone was not as easy, or forgiving; the caverns. Inside the massive cave system under the hard earth Saber walked on, there were hundreds of various curves and tunnels. Dwelling within ranged from spiders to massive demons which craved the Assassin’s soul. All of them were fierce enemies, and all of them came at the Assassin with such fury that he was forced to slow his pace multiple times simply to give him enough time to recover and rest. Due to this slow down, the caverns took nearly ten hours to clear and drain of materials and experience before Saber was forced to make his way out of the underground area.
Still, that wasn’t enough to make Saber even remotely close to as tired as he currently was. That’s when he began to wonder about the new area that had appeared; Avon. The zone around it was much higher leveled and the monsters which thrived there were powerful. Today, Saber had dared to give the zone a peek before returning to Londonium. Upon arriving, Saber immediately joined the fray of a few men named “Wardens” who were fighting nearby. These men were quite friendly, but they were having trouble with the monsters coming out of some mist thing. Rather than let them die, Saber remained with the men and fought with them, slaying anything which appeared from the fog. Surprisingly, the mist lingered for quite some time until a last pair of oversized, mutated wolves appeared from its cloudy body. Upon slaying them, the pink mist vanished, leaving Saber alone with the Wardens. Well, for only a few moments as the Wardens waved and thanked the Assassin just before turning away and returning to Avon. Soon, Saber was left alone, but he was content. He had questions, but the men were tired, so he let them go.
Instead, Saber turned his eyes to the next group and jumped in. Much like the first group of soldiers, the second group of Wardens was also fighting the mist, but they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Even so, the Assassin jumped in and began to assist with the eradication of the creatures. Eventually, Saber found himself going from one skirmish to the next, assisting the Wardens of Avon to the best of his ability. But, like all things, Saber’s aid didn’t last forever. Eventually, Saber had circled Avon twice and the mist simply kept coming back no matter how many times he fought the beasts that appeared. That was when he discovered that the city was working just like Sarum was. It required the help of Adventurers to return it to its natural state, and figuring that out was Saber’s cue to leave. Without any ability to positively affect Avon unless he loaded up on quests, the Assassin bailed and swiftly beat feet. It took him two hours to get to Avon. The return trip was barely thirty minutes… but he troubles wouldn’t stop there.
As Saber approached the city’s doors, he caught sight an older gentleman standing there, leaning against the wall beside a piece of paper. Dressed in old, aged, dirty gear with several horrible patching jobs on his pants and worn dress shirt, the man looked like someone who had crawled out of the ground. His face was tilted down, and a flat cap covered up his expression because of the angle and his height; he was five-six approximately. Beside the man there was a rusted and dirty shovel as well as a small sack which seemed to be half-full. The sight of the man was curious, and Saber fell for his trap by simply walking over. Though, the Assassin didn’t initiate a conversation first. Instead, his eyes drifted and locked onto the piece of paper beside the man. Immediately, Saber recognized the paper; it was a quest.
The man was a grave digger named Everick, and he was looking for Adventurers or brave souls in general to help him clear out a bunch of angry ghosts which had invaded his cemetery, disturbing him and the dead. As Saber stood there, reading, he noticed the man shuffle a little in his position and then heard him grumble. Upon hearing that, Saber dared to inspect further. To his surprise, it wouldn’t have mattered how close to the paper he got, this man wasn’t going to say anything to him! He was asleep! The bastard had the guts to put up a poster and ask for help, but didn’t even stay awake long enough to ask anyone! Foolish Lander…
“Oi, Sir. I have a question.” Saber reached out and nudged the gravedigger, pushing him slgithly to his left. To his surprise, the man never woke up. He simply tilted and leaned over until he collapsed onto the ground, slamming down in a happy pile of dirt and exhaustion. Saber wiggled his nose beneath his scarf and then prepared to kick the NPC in the stomach, but hesitated. A few seconds after hitting the floor, the man began to emerge from his slumber, slowly returning to the land of the living as the impact on the ground seemed to sap him from his dreamland. Saber remained patient and watched the tired soul awaken, but didn’t wait beyond that.
“Everick, Everick Ronson. I am interested in your quest and I am here to assist you.” As Saber spoke, his eyes narrowed on the lazy Lander. Everick rubbed his eyes and yawned before looking up towards Saber with a grin on his face and a chuckle between his teeth. The Assassin didn’t laugh, but instead growled lightly. Saber wasn’t laughing…

Training, huh? Exhaustion, huh? Nisha was not all that happy to do either, but still she was sleeping. She was not doing rounds and defeating monsters aside from when she thought something interesting might happen or she met other people who were interesting and Nisha was roped in to help. but this time had been different, Nisha had heard of a good way to boost her exorcism skills, nothing big and nothing that seemed too much of a hassle. Something about this graveyard close to London and ghosts, or at least some apparitions. It was good to have good ears and keep them on the ground, scour taverns and listen closely when people were talking, just like right then. Some old guy in dirty clothes had told some other adventurers as such and they had looked somewhat interested, but Nisha knew that they would not go, even Nisha was hesitant, lately more and more NPC had spread rumors and when you arrived usually the quest was either alreay fulfilled or there was a waiting line. The second reason was... Well... Nisha did not really like ghosts, cemeteries or quests involving each of them. Actually she was terrified of them. Not because of some silly reason like that she feared death or something, it was just part of the process after all. And no, she was not thinking that it was some soul of someone else who she might kill by defeating it, or even if it was, it did not matter, they had died and were supposed to move on, freeing them would be a release. No, her fear sat deeper and was much more primordial. She feared what she could not see or understand. And ghosts, even though they might not exist in the real world and she had never seen one before, existed in here. She had feared the cold hand of invisible things from her first memory on already, everytime something went missing or seemed to have moved, she had one of her multiple brothers or her parents move it again to take away her fear of it. things that were lost were worst since they weighed on her mind and the frst time she had heard a ghost story in middle school, her parents had screened away the books and info she would get before that about ghosts, Nisha, or rather Myriel, the player behind the character had fainted. Just because she had finally a name for it, something she could pin it on. For her it was never the monster under the bed, there was nothing there once she shone light under it after all, but rather the mysterious hand that made things disappear or making them lost. That was her main reason to fear ghosts and slowly but surely it had grown and matured into full blown terrifying thing for her. Although it was weirdly specific at times. Old school ghosts, those bedsheet ones, those were scary to her, monsters and such, which others thought scary were to her just targets to point her blade at and destroy, be it awful spiky things or gooey blobbs, nightmarish creatures or boars. All of them held no fear and if she died from them, she would not mind, fair game, but just thinking something invisible might attack her or a bedsheet ghost might appear were usually enough to make her run away. Not this time, she had sworn herself as heavy as lead feet slowly transported her to where she wanted to go... well, or had to go at least to get the quest. It was really quite the journey from inside of London to where the NPC was supposed to be, but somehow she still braved it, her tails hanging low and shivering slightly from time to time. The wind feeling cool on her skin not only from the winter breeze that was slowly floating in but from her feeling like a cold hand was brushing over it, her hair standing on end and she must have looked half dead as she arrived at the place. Just to notice that the old guy who was giving the quest was actually friggin sleeping. And apparently so deeply that prodding him and shaking did not help much. Without hesitation, she rammed the hilt of her sword into his side and saw that he had finally woken up, gasping for air after having his lung squashed a little. But Nisha had no room for having second thoughts about it and definitely did not feel like waiting around for him to wake up again. He looked as tired as Nisha and said so after he caught his breath and rubbed his side for quite some time. Using this time to steel herself, she waited to listen to the instructions, only to hear that it would be best to go into the quest as a group and that no one else had apparently turned up yet. Sighing at that note, she wondered what to do while waiting. Secretely she was quite satisfied that she could sleep a little and maybe get over the worst of her expectations and maybe look presentable when it really happened. looking around for something tall to sleep on, she wondered if the wall was good enough, but then again, it was better than to sleep close to the old guy who was staring daggers at her and seemed like he would fall asleep from exhaustion again right away. But anyway, jumping up the wall was easy enough and finding a place to sleep was just as easy as she curled up on her tails on top of the cap stone of the wall, big enough for her at least to sleep on. Opening the window with the quest and turning on the notification as well as pushing up the sound of them to the max so she would definitely wake up when the next person came along and got roped into work as well. And just a few hours later, there they were, a loud... earshattering loud sound suddenly resounded and woke Nisha with a start, nearly falling down the wall, hanging from her arms that were grabbing onto the stone as she slowly lowered herself to the ground, falling semi elegantly to the ground and turning around to see who she got as a partner for this quest. He did not look like much, but anyone was better than going alone, so she smiled, brushing over her hair somewhat sluggishly and yawning, her tails whipping around to bush up and make the bedhair vanish from her tail, her hair was short enough that it did not matter all too much and just some brushes of her finger were enough to make them at least somewhat presentable. Another thing she would never do in real life. Back home she had brushes and all kinds of utensils to make her hair presentable, but here, her character was easily maintaneable and it was just what she had wanted. What was the point of designing your own character if it was not what you really wanted? Waving sleepily, she yawned more than saying: "Hi there, ready for the quest?" Finishing the long yawn, her canine tooth showing quite nicely, she noticed that the old guy still had not forgiven her and was glaring at her again, or at least it felt like it. Wondering if she should say something about it, she decided it was not worth her time and added politely and speaking normally this time toward the other adventurer: "My name is Nisha, nice to meet you, exorcist as well?" It would be a bit better if he was, well, at least for Nisha, that way she would be able to let him do most of the work when it came to exorcising at least. “And who in the hell are you…?” The NPC answered with a rumble, pushing himself up into a seated position against the wall as he was awakened from his sleep so rudely. From where he was, it most likely seemed like Saber was the one who had woken him. In all actuality; it was gravity. Saber wouldn’t tell the man that though, he seemed quite angry already and the Assassin wasn’t going to waste time with a trivial explanation of things.
“Don’t worry about who I am.” Saber retorted, nearly snapping at the NPC before pointing forward at the piece of paper in front of him which was begged to the city’s door. Everick, the NPC, looked up towards the paper and stared at it for a long moment, as if attempting to recall what it was. Though, after a few moments, he looked back towards Saber. The Assassin hadn’t looked away and his eyes narrowed on the lazy Lander. He would kick the guy in the face if he had the option, but getting on the bad side of People of the Land was always a horrible thing. If he did anything horrible to one of them, word would spread and Saber’s number of available quests would plummet.
“You seem to need help.” At the statement, Everick sighed and nodded, as if he was submitting to the player. The man adjusted his sitting position and looked up as the sound of movement came from above. Saber did the same, and watched as the sight of a fox tail descending from above filled his view. The two men stared as the fox woman appeared from the sky, and both huffed a little as she landed. One was out of angry and annoyance, as Everick showed signed of not exactly liking this new face. Saber didn’t know who she was, but he found it strange that she had elected to come from above rather than just walk. Though, the fact that Everick knew her probably meant that she had been here before. If that was true, then she might have been waiting somewhere nearby. Glancing down, Saber looked to see Everick’s angered expression. Then, he looked back up towards the fox-tail female as she fixed her hair and yawned. She even questioned him right off the bat. Jesus, he hadn’t even heard what the quest was yet.
Though, this woman didn’t exactly know that. Much like Everick, she probably had been asleep and had missed his appearance. When the woman first landed, she was a bit of a mess and looked like she had just rolled out of bed. Using her tails, she had cleaned herself up a bit but Saber could still tell that she had been sleeping; it made him jealous. He had returned to Londonium with the full intention of simply returning to his usual inn, paying the fee, and plopping down on the same bed he always used. There, he would sleep for probably sixteen hours or so in order to regain his stamina before going back out again. Obviously, he wasn’t even going to be able to step into Londonium for another hour or so. With the appearance of this new face, and Everick’s glare, Saber was most likely stuck here now… great.
“Saber. Pleasure. Hold please.” In response to her introducing herself, Saber returned her words with his own ones. However, he was much curter with his response and didn’t exactly provide much information at first. The reason for this was because he still didn’t know what the quest was. With that in mind, he turned his attention back down to the NPC who was sitting at his feet. Everick turned his attention away from the Foxtail and then looked up towards the Assassin, who wasn’t happy.
“Quest. Speak.” The order caused Everick to straight up a little and he made a slightly complex face; he seemed angry that Saber had spoken to him in such a way, but he didn’t wish to bring the wrath of the Adventurer down on his head. And so, the Lander swallowed his pride.
“My cemetery has been taken over by a bunch of ghost things… I’m not brave enough to handle them myself so I need an Adventurer, or a few of them, to help me…” Everick’s hard, angry, sluggish tone turned into that of a whimp, and Saber grumbled as he listened to the Lander speak. This was a quest for someone like the Foxtail, Nisha, had initially mentioned. After hearing Everick speak, he now knew why Nisha had asked if he was an Exorcist. This quest would require the dispatching of ghosts, and Saber wasn’t exactly equipped to take such beings on. In his entire arsenal, Saber had one weapon which could harm the ghastly souls of the dead. With that in mind, he knew he would have trouble with this. But, it wasn’t impossible. So, he accepted the quest through his interface and looked towards Nisha as he extended a party invite to her. From what she had said before, she seemed to be here for the quest as well. If that was true, she could prove useful.
“No. I am not an exorcist.” The answer to Nisha’s previous question finally came out of the man’s lips and he keyed the Quest on his interface, causing a distant waypoint to appear. He glanced to his left and narrowed his eyes on the distant triangle. Once it was up, he waved away his own menu and then looked towards Nisha again.
“I’m just an Assassin.” The man chuckled and nudged his nose against the scarf which covered half of his face. Then, he started to walk towards the distant waypoint. It wasn’t far, but it wasn’t close either. It would take them between five and ten minutes of walking in order to reach it, which was expected. Most people probably didn’t want a cemetery so close to their homes out of fear of ghosts; Saber didn’t blame them.
“Let’s go.” Saber waved the foxtail to follow him and then waved his hand over his shoulder as he shouted to Everick.
“We’ll be back when the job is done, Lander!”

Hmm, so he was one of those types of people. Business like and short in reply. Sounding more like a soldier than someone who was trying to have fun, but, heck, who knew maybe some people had actually fun acting like this. Not that Nisha minded all that much, she found it weirdly soothing to hang around such people. It all seemed easier since there was little meaning to arguing with them and no need for extras, just go in, get the job done and get out, as easy as that. And in the end, even if it was like that, Nisha would get her enjoyment out of it one way or another. Stepping aside as he wanted to talk to the quest giver, already Nisha had kind of forgotten there was someone else still, she waited for the old man to respond and describe what needed to be done, having only listened half heartedly herself. Which was not really true, she had tried to blend out the details of what he was saying so she would not run away from the quest before it even started. But now that she had already accepted she would see it through one way or another. Even if she had to drag her lifeless body over there a hundred times. One of the reasons, she usually hand picked her quests and did not mind having a somewhat bad rep with anyone. She only took the quests she liked anyway and those were usually either dangerous enough that they would take anyone to fulfill it or so meaningless and multiple that Nisha stuck around and showed her good side. Like helping around an orphanage or a church somewhere in the wildness, to which she felt weirdly attached to since it had the biggest clock tower outside of london she had seen so far. Incomparable to the flat wall she had slept on, felt like sleeping on the ground, Nisha disliked sleeping anywhere near the ground if there was not a very good reason for it. Her tails were both cooler and heater at the same time so sleeping outside was never a problem. Well, she had not tried it in winter yet, but then again, maybe it was time for it, the days were slowly growing colder anyway. Feeling herself space out, she quickly wiped over her mouth and swiped her hand once to splatter the drool away from her. Looking at the fine mist as it vanished falling to the ground, she wondered how long she had slept, but not how she might look right now, only semi unconsciously still trying to comb her hair into a somewhat presentable shape, straightening out the wrinkles in her clothing, her eyes somewhat unfocused as she listened to the instructions and just took them as that. Hoping that it would not be as she feared but maybe something else, maybe some weird looking ghosts who would not be what she feared or some zombie kind of things. Those were pretty okay after all and nothing she would mind, she would maybe even enjoy hacking through a horde of skeletons. Now that he had heard what the quest guy had to say though, she remembered the name of him and wondered if it was really only saber. Normally such names were already taken if you did not add numbers or weird signs to it. Well, if you were not fast enough that was the case. Nisha herself had been lucky, having tried out several names and several other weird iterations of them for her second character in this game. Never having planned to be semi permanently caught in this body or with this character. But now that she was stuck with it, she would do the best out of it. And if she was honest, she quite liked this total opposite to her real body quite some actually. Seeing and hearing that Saber was done with the intro and stuff and was ready to move to the quest, Nisha´s tail began to slowly wag in rhythm as she turned to look at him as he walked by. A smirk playing on her face as she skipped a step and caught up with him, walking beside him. having most of her ui off, she did not know where to go without asking around and getting lost at least twice, but he seemed to know exactly where to go, so she imagined that his ui was in full use. Nisha wanted full immersion though and so any sign of it was gone aside from her health bar and status screen showing that she was apparently fully functional. Not that she felt like it, the more she walked the heavier her steps seemed to become, her tails pressed up against her back as if in preparation for a sudden battle already and kind of nervous after hearing that he was not an exorcist, not that Nisha was any better. Sure she was one, but she could maybe not be of much help. At least he was a class she had already had some friends in. Even having fought alongside one before against an elite monster, so how much worse could this really be. She knew that they were reliable and worked quite well with a samurai since samurai were at least somewhat fast enough to keep up with the speed of an assassin and jump in when they were being attacked. Thinking that and remembering that battle got her mood a little up, enough to talk again without risking chattering teeth. "Just an assassin? Sounds a bit weird how you said that. Fought against ghosts or whatever awaits us there before? Sorry, just a bit nervous." Nisha admitted and sighed, filling her lungs with air again, having noticed that she had tried to hold it. Feeling a bit better already and knowing that she was at least somewhat ready to face whatever this game would throw at her. Right? Right? Nisha´s hand was already resting on her grimoire and sword just in case, although she wondered if she would shake too much to actually hold it straight. At least she could move enough to accept the party invite and quit most of the menus, sometimes they got into the way of fighting and she could not really use that, even more so seeing the circumstances. While on the way, Nisha wondered how far away the graveyard was, sometimes it was weird how far the quest was from the quest giver. The world was already huge enough without having to run around all day, kind of made her want to go back to sleep. In a bout of feeling funny, she thought for a second of just jumping on Saber´s back and letting him carry her, maybe he would even do it with his attitude if only to get it done with. And his back looked broad enough to fit a sleeping person at least. Winking away some sleep in her eyes, she also decided it would not be all that nice if she did so on their first meeting, maybe next time she would try it out. Yawning for the last time, she straightened herself up and felt at least awake enough to actually see what she would run away from terrified. After getting a decent distance away from the Lander, Everick, Saber’s straightened back slowly hunched over and he released out a heavy sigh, which he had kept pent up in his chest. He let himself relax and shut his eyes for a moment while he walked, releasing the tension in his body so that he could refocus himself on the new job at hand. He was tired, extremely tired, and he was a little angry with himself for picking up another quest. Yet, he was just as happy about it. The quest wasn’t too difficult and presented him with a new challenge; ghost enemies. As tired and wanting to fall over as he was, Saber greeted the new opportunity with open arms, figurative open arms of course. No longer did sleep cross his mind, even though it pulled on his eyes like bricks. Instead, he could only think of how he should deal with this new foe. Sadly, Saber didn’t have any imaginary weapons that could strike imaginary or transparent objects. However, he did have one weapon on hand that wasn’t normal.
Ghosts, if Saber was thinking of the correct ones, were invisible or were unable to be harmed by solid weapons because of their physical make-up. They were creatures without any mass, and nothing to directly strike. Yet, this didn’t make them invulnerable. Because of their make-up as phantasmal entities and not physical entities, their physical defense would be pretty much null from how little of it they needed, but their magical defense was his true worry. With magic being the only thing that could touch them, Saber felt it was safe to assume that their protection against magical attacks would be higher than usual, as if to compensate and attempt to guard the false beings from harm. Though, Saber also had a feeling that the magical defense of the enemies could be the opposite of what he was thinking; they could be weak to it. Because of the creatures being unable to be hurt by physical strikes, a magical attack should be crippling if the game system was operating in a balanced manner. With that in mind, attacking with magic would cause a good amount of damage against a ghost entity, and Saber had just the right blade for that.
But, that was all speculation. If Saber was wrong and the Ghosts were unable to be damaged by a physical sword and had high defense against magic, then the two Adventurers were about to have a really bad time. Saber was no expert, but he knew damn well what could happen should a battle be approached incorrectly. People die when mistakes are made, and if Saber is wrong, then the thought of death would become a reality. Or the quest would just be impossible. Due to the lower level required to complete the quest, Saber was quite comfortable in his ability to fend off a few lower level creatures and sustain some damage. He was no tank and his health bar wasn’t extremely oversized, but he had a high enough defense stat to hold his own. With his new set of armor, Saber was also a lot faster than he was a few other times when he fought. Though, he could not say the same for the player he was now paired with.
The Assassin glanced over to his right as he walked, eyeing the foxtail that was walking beside him. She was a decent level, fifty-two, and was a Samurai. He had seen that class in battle a few times, but none of them were really any good so far. A few had caught his attention, but his mind was still recovering from when he left Londonium’s safety net. From how the woman was geared, she didn’t seem incompetent. Yet, that frightened aura she was giving off was a little sickening. Saber felt as if he was inhaling a toxin that was preparing to grab at his heart and squeeze it. Or, maybe it was because she was cold. If she was cold, then Saber’s eyes were deceiving him. It could also be his mind playing tricks on him due to his being up for so long. He needed rest it seemed, but this quest would come first. Sleep was just an obstacle, and didn’t take much to shake with the right mental state. Saber also wouldn’t leave a fellow Adventurer behind, especially a female. He had come across many capable female players, and feared a few of them, but there was a lot more to his need to stay than just gender. It was something which was burned deep into the fibers of his very being. As much as he wanted to leave the foxtail behind and go sleep in a nice, warm, cozy bed, he wouldn’t do so until the cemetery was cleared.
Though, he would not get off so easily. The cemetery was still a bit of a distance away on his map so it was almost inevitable that the woman would say something to him. Thankfully, she asked about his class and nothing else. Even in his state of acting almost completely autonomously, Saber could answer that question fairly easily. Now, if she hit him with a question asking about the meaning of life or why he acted like the person he was, then Saber would probably give her some weird answer just to quiet her. But a question about his class? That was much more manageable…
“I am just an assassin. Nothing really else for the moment.” The answer was pretty brief, but it wasn’t all Saber’s fault. It was more of his head’s. He could hardly connect the sentence together and almost had a hard time speaking. Usually when he reached the forty-eight hour mark, he stopped talking all together and simply focused on the world around him. This was also because he didn’t have any one to talk to
“As for our enemies, I’m not sure what we’re going to be facing. If I’m right, we can handle them and we’ll be fine. If I’m wrong, we might be screwed.” A light sigh escaped Saber’s mouth as he spoke the truth. If the Ghosts indeed were unable to be affected by any form of physical attack and had a high magical resistance, then they were going to have issues. If their magical defense was low, then this would be a walk in the park…
…hopefully.

Ah, this was really a mess, Nisha had only fought against ghosts in here once before and it had been a pretty dramatic thing. At least those had not been the kind of ghosts that inflicted much damage by themself but rather tried to trap and whittle down the adventurers. Opening up holes in the floor, closing doors and throwing items at them, moving lamps and wardrobes alike to hit them and staying hidden from sight so that they could do even less against them. It had been quite something to live through and to Nisha´s embarassment she had fainted back then and then lost some of her memories as she snapped and just let her body go full auto. It did not happen often, but sometimes Nisha was able to just cut herself off from her own feelings and do what she could not before, hopefully she would be able to at least stay normal and conscious this time around, falling unconscious or going crazy in front of this person definitely did not seem like something she wanted to do. He looked quite professional and business oriented, the perfect counter to her own bubbliness or rather nervousness right now. As for weapons, Nisha had them, weapons that could hit and kill ghosts, who thankfully usually had little health in trade for many special abilities. First and foremost her exorcist beam of light that could cut straight through a ghost or two, her divinity bubble and last but not least, the grimoire that was dangling on her side from a chain. A black book with a red pentagram on it which had weirdly enough fox ears. But it was good enough to hit spirit beings where her sword could not help and one of the reasons she even had it with her. All in all you could say that a little bit of fear from those kinds of enemies had led her hand as well while creating her character, exorcist and magic swordsman, which just as it sounded was a jack of all trades and exactly what Nisha wanted. Able to take on anything that was thrown at her and at the same time able to conquer her own mind to some extent. Sighing a little as she relaxed after realizing that she was well equipped at least for this quest, she wondered if he had the same kind of weapons or some idea how to deal with the enemies. Nisha had never read up much on assassin but maybe they had elemental skills or something? The only time she had done battle with an assassin it had been with hanelli, but ghosts usually neither had shadows to sew them to nor real bodies to stick daggers in. Well, as she thought before, he did look professional and from how he talked he was either confident or scared straight. Whichever it was it would be a nice change from the usual people she hung around with. Most of them too friendly for their own good and bubbling out all kinds of informations without Nisha even asking for them or giving too much info, this guy definitely seemed more like the stoic silent type who would take on the world alone if he could. Nisha just hoped that he would be able to or at least had enough other people who thought the same way to support him through whatever roadblocks came up on his way. As they walked over to where the quest was happening, Nisha being glad she had someone who knew where to actually go since she would have already become one of the lost once again and would have taken half a day to even find where the quest was supposed to be, too much caught up with herself to even ask someone for help, not that she would mind losing the place where they were supposed to go. Nisha still clung to the little thread of hope that there were only zombies or stuff like that. Those were easy, or at least easier on her. But since it was neither a swamp graveyard nor an unknown one her hopes were slim that some necromancer was prowling around like that other time they could just kill and be done with it. No cavalry of exorcists like last time either... But really, just as assassin, huh? Sounded a bit weird since there were subclasses and all that stuff usually involved in the process but maybe he was just trying to hide his other classes since they would be weird. Although Nisha wondered what would be a weird subclass for this guy... well, there was the obvious, idol and courtesan, just thinking about him in an idol dress or using courtesan charm on others made her smile a bit more and a little genuine. But then again it was his fault that she was even thinking such weird stuff with how little he had told her. As for the other stuff... "Don´t say that, I am sure we can handle it, right?" Her voice definitely fluttered for a moment from fear, but she got it back under control after she felt the leathery feeling from the grimoire on which she had laid her hand as if seeking solace in knowing that she could inflict damage on about anything with her two trusty weapons. But now that she thought about it, maybe it was time to actually get some other gear as well. Ranged sounded good to balance it out even more. After all, she would not always be the tank or close dps, if she could adding ranged dps and maybe support dps sorcerer would be interesting too. But she had yet to really get any more spells aside from heal and her exorcist ones. "I bet you have some aces up your sleeve." Nisha said with a chuckle, even though it sounded more like a question and her tails which had hung low before began to move a little from her curiosity and feeling a bit better than before that he was even speaking with her. It already felt a bit better and she had a little hope that it would work out in the end. Maybe even with them being on the winning side and not losing all in the process. Battle won but war lost as they said which was always a good chance since adventurers usually did not really solve problems but rather only prolonged them only to create more and more quests from troubled people, making Nisha wonder once more if landers were being replaced by some system still or if they would all die sooner or later in monster attacks and murders, only to make place for the conquering hordes of adventurers who would come to control this country and who knew maybe create a new race of npcs that were as strong as real adventurers.
