A fast paced clonk, clonk, clonk, this is the only sound that could be heard besides the serene sound of birds chirping and the cicadas buzzing. The cause of this abnormal sound was a black horse that was galloping through the grove at full speed while a small figure rode atop it. " It's okay Fallax, they're gone now nothing will hurt you I'm here and I'll protect you." With these words the black horse named Fallax slowed down gently till it reached a stop and the small figure, named Vitae a starting Druid and Cavalier, got off and moved in front of the horse and started petting it's head. " See, no worries Fallax everything is safe," Vitae softly calmed down the shy horse and then patted him some more. About thirty minutes ago Vitae and Fallax were just moving about the forest, but then they met something terrifying, a giant tree monster that was shooting seeds off like a machine gun and was spewing sap at them. Fallax, who is very shy, instantly ran for it with Vitae having trouble getting control over Fallax, so after thirty minutes of galloping through out the forest blindly they ended up here in the Savill Flower Grove. The small grove was a tranquil place where only a few types of low leveled spawns appeared, so really they had nothing to worry about because Vitae could handle that much on his own. To Vitae this was one of grove was one of his favorite spots to rest due to the sunshine and welcoming ground, it was a rather nice napping spot that Vitae would come to do just that. " A nap sounds nice right now, but I'm here for mob hunting, so mob hunting it is. If I remember right, Verin said there would be boars, slimes, rabbit, and snake monsters that all low leveled, so we should be fine Fallax." As if these words conjured the beings, some young boars appeared from the grass and stared at Vitae. " Already here 'eh, well I gladly accept your deaths. Come forth being of Gaia and help me in my battle against evil, I summon you Familiar: Gray Wolf." With these words of summoning a small grey wolf pup appeared ready for battle, with it's sharp teeth showing and already in stance to pounce the enemy. Verin then gave his commands to the pup in Latin, " Egredere ex omnibus viribus attingere et dentes Gaia," and it did. Pouncing on to one of the three young boars that appeared before Vitae it made short work of the beast and then ran after the other two, for they were already running after the attack on the first boar started. " Oh no you don't," Vitae along with the wolf pup ran at full speed chasing after the two remaining targets, but the two young boars pulled off some sly maneuvers and got away. While walking back he allowed the pup to go back to Gaia while Vitae picked up the gold from the young boar they did kill. [509] Bailin

It was a good day for a stroll through the park, though somehow Bailin had ended up wandering through a grove. “Hmm, I guess I should have paid more attention to where I was going… ah well, it’s time for a new adventure, so where do we go from here?” he mumbled to himself, taking a good look around him, hoping to find something that would give him a little hint on his current location. Turning around Bailin stretched out his right arm into the general direction he thought he had been walking from. Scratching his head in semi-confusion, mostly because he was lost. “So if I’ve been walking from the town to here… the way back should be that way but… maybe there is a faster way to get there…Wait what’s that?” Bailin tilted his head so he could listen better. It started faintly with a soft clonk from the distance, but soon it became a louder clonk, clonk. “I should check it out… I’m not Nostro so my curiosity shouldn’t kill me, I hope.” Bailin grinned to himself, gathering the courage to venture forth into the unknown. After a few steps the sound was close enough to make a rough guess as to where Bailin had to go but a few steps further in the right direction, give or take, the sound vanished, only to be replaced by something that resembled mumbling but Bailin felt rather uncertain about the true definition of what he heard. “Yes, it sounds like someone talking but it’s muffled, soft, I can’t even make out a single bloody word.” he whispered to himself, uncertain whether or not he should proceed or run away as fast as he could. Slowing down his pace to a sneaking pace he gently stepped towards the origin of the sound, checking the ground for twigs and other noise making materials and avoiding stepping on them as to remain more or less hidden and unnoticed.
Only two steps towards the sound Bailin heard new sounds, the rustling of leaves, cracking of twigs and squealing of pigs. “Oh boy, please let them not be for me, it would be just my luck if there are some nasty pigs behind me.” Bailin whispered to himself, slowly turning around to check if he was wishful thinking or Murphy caught up with him at last. “Oh thank goodness they’re not behind me.” Bailin sighed relieved, continuing his sneaking towards the sounds. Now he could hear some noises that he could recognize. “Is that, Latin? It sounds Latin, now just hope it isn’t a Roman, those guys are weird…” Bailin mumbled a bit louder than he intended, thinking back to one of the days he went to a historic amusement park and one of the Romans came out of the bathhouse with a loud ‘Jooooeeeehoooeee’, as if he had been kicked between the legs and could only talk as high as a 6 year old girl, leaving Bailin traumatised and a bit… wary of Romans.
“Ah well it’s probably nothing too bad. Let’s press onward.” He mumbled again, taking the last steps and hearing a wolf snarl and pigs squealing. Sticking his head around a tree he noticed a decaying young boar, a small wolf, a horse and a human. The human was doing something with the corpse of the boar and the wolf more or less vanished from sight.
Stepping in sight from behind the tree, Bailin raised his hands into the air as a way of telling the unknown person ‘I mean you no harm’ and spoke calmly as to not provoke the fellow human. “Greetings my good fellow, I appear to be more or less lost. Perhaps you could help me or I could help you with whatever you’re doing, I don’t have a pressing agenda at the moment.” He finished grinning.

While picking up what the young boar had left for him, a tall young man with an eyepatch appeared in front of Vitae and asked if he could help him. Vitae placed the cash dropped by the boar in his pocket and then to a step back and did some thinking. This man had said he was lost and asked if Vitae would help and he could help Vitae in return as payment since he had nothing to do. It sounded like like a sound deal and besides it would help Vitae fill his goal, so he decided he'll help the man but first he had to help Vitae. "I'll help you out of this place, but you see I'm trying to level up some, so help me with that and once the sun starts to hit the horizon line I'll help you back to Londinium, deal or what?" In Vitae's mind it was a rather sound idea, no matter what class this person was he would be helpful, even an Enchanter would be useful since the monsters were so low leveled.
"My name is Vitae and I'm a somewhat combat healer that can switch to quick heal by using my trusty steed Fallax here. One problem though, I only have one healing spell, thankfully it's a party healing spell. Also my Beginner Skill speeds up the party's healing rate, but not by much, only by five percent." Being raised in a traveling family Vitae knew how to bargain, and bargain well at that. Besides bargaining Vitae had a few other things going for him, language, fighting, and healing. Well what would that have to due the situation right now, they seem to have no purpose at all, but your wrong! These skills could all be used in ways to where it would benefit Vitae in his current situation, in special ways of course. While Vitae waited for an answer Fallax pushed his head up to Vitae and in response Vitae petted Fallax's head.

“That sounds fair enough and levelling up sounds good enough, could use some of those as well.” Bailin grinned, glad that this Vitae person was willing to help him. “So just to be sure… are you a Roman? Or do you just happen to have studied Latin, going on your name and whatever you said before I arrived here. I don’t have any problems with Romans, just wondering, as my Latin is a bit rusty, to the point of not existing.” Bailin continued grinning. “Hmm, that’s useful, I’m a Warden myself, my beginner skill gives a five percent cool down reduction, so our cool downs should be five percent shorter but, like you said, it isn’t a lot however... it’s something. Other than that, I’m not yet really that great with skills, I’m looking for a firearm, but that one special thing, if you know what I mean, that one item of which one says: that’s what I’ve been looking for. Until that time however I’m more or less stuck with just a rapier, though I will be able to hold my own.” he said with a wink. “So you’ve gotten yourself a horse, that’s pretty awesome, it’s a pleasure to meet you Fallax.” Bailin continued, holding out his left hand for the horse to sniff, silently praying Fallax wouldn’t bit off his fingers. “Alright then, now that’s settled,” drawing his rapier, “just point me to where you need me, oh captain, my captain.” he winked again, readying himself for the upcoming battles. “What would you like to attack first and where would you prefer to position yourself? I can stand on the front or the flanks, though if I’m at the flanks I’d prefer the left side, as to give myself a step more reach.”

Vitae took in the flood of information coming from the tall Warden and filed it in a precise manner, starting with the skills of the man, then questions, then minor statements that built the man's character. Vitae decided to answer the man's weirdest question first just to clear the man's delusions about Vitae being Roman. " I'm actually half Italian due to my mother, so the first few years of my life I learned Latin and Italian, so that could make me Roman I guess. Though, I am quarter American and Chinese also, so does it really matter because I'm also versatile in other languages also. As for my position I'll attack with you on ground since I use tofans to fight with, Fallax has already been through enough for today." With this Vitae gave Fallax a good pat and Fallax went on his merry way to wherever he goes. " Let's go over our skills first, that way we can work together a strategy. We've already stated our Beginner Skills so no need to state them again, I've already stated one of my other skills, and from what you just told me you saw Gray Wolf, so all I have only two left to tell you that will matter in the fights coming up are Sand Curtain and Detox. Sand Curtain is an attack and defend skill at the same time, but it causes sight reduction in a ten meter radius for five seconds. Meanwhile Detox allows the Poison debuff to fade faster when I have the debuff on me. The last skill I have is Jousting, but it won't have much use in this fight, so forget it for now." With this Vitae pulled out his tofans and also his status menu, clicking the form party button. From what the menu said this man's name was Bailin and he was indeed a Warden, but only level one. " Okay Bailin our goal is to kill the types of enemies that spawn in this area, except for the Field Boss that spawns in this area, if it spawns we run with what we got and just hope to live. Besides that, the highest level for a monster that can spawn here is twenty, so be very careful when we fight one, but if more than one appears at a time we do the same thing we would do for the Field Boss." “Oh that’s good, I assume you won’t come out of the bathroom in a dress, ok ok, a tunic, and shout out ‘Jooohooooeeee’ as if you were a six your old girl. That’s a relief.” Balin sighed, obviously relieved. Taking in the human in front of him Bailin noticed his shoes or well… sandals, the baggy white trousers and black and red top. Nothing was really that odd about the clothing, bar the scarf, but it was probably better not to pry into that, for now at least. All in all it did look like a reliable enough fellow, reliable enough to tell him somewhat more details. “Well now, as for my skills… I have M.U.T., think of it as a Swiss army knife, but bigger and less options, in this case a saw, drill and shovel. It's not useful in combat but if you ever want your house or garden redecorated, give me a call. Other than that, I have Trained eyes, which in short, makes it harder for me to miss an attack or easier for me to hit the target, depending on your point of view.” Bailin winked with a smile as he told Vitae the third of his skills. “I’m also afraid that this is, currently, my only skill I can use in combat. My other skill is Steady shot, which stiffens my armour a bit, making me a tad more accurate as well as improving damage a little bit, although I have not been able to put its description to the test, because I’m looking for that one special gun, as I don’t like crossbows much.”
“Well I am flattered you think we can take on a level twenty monster together, but let’s try and avoid those. Well you’re the boss, so lead the way, what do you want to hunt first?” Bailin asked Vitae, not minding the opportunity to hunt with someone and hopefully gain some levels, without dying if that would be possible. " So he'll be fighting mainly relying on his rapier, ok that makes it easier for me to understand since it's the same as relying on the system using the Auto-Attack toggle skill." Vitae was able to think this through rather quickly since he practically fought the same way as the man in front of him, relying on his combat skills from the outside of the world that he had learned through several bar fights and his grandmother's teachings. When Bailin asked what the duo would hunt first Vitae just smiled and replied with a simple answer, "We hunt what ever we see as long as we think we can take it down." With these words a small little slime that was dull green color appeared and Vitae then quietly switched his footing and leaped towards the prey. Tonfas already in hand Vitae quickly slammed them into the slime, but it wasn't going to be enough to kill it in one go. The slime mustered it's strenght together and bounced Vitae backwards towards Bailin, to which Vitae responded to buy changing his center of gravity allowing him to land a few inches in front of Bailin. " Immo, quod ablatum est," Vitae launched himself towards the slime again, this time he shot forward and crushed the slime's face with his tonfas again. Vitae let out a flurry of blows that decimated the enemy to where it couldn't even put up a fight and after about another fifteen blows it exploded to bubbles and gold. Vitae turned around towards Bailin and smiled, " Sorry you had to see that, raging blood is something that has been passed down by my father's side of the family for a long time and I kind of lose it a times." “Hmm, hunt whatever we find and if we think if we can take it down eh? Sounds easy enough, though there is but one way to find out right? Doing beats theorising about it, but one should still hold on to their common sense, even though we have the luxury of just dying and respawning.” Bailin said thoughtfully, though halfway through Vitae went berserk on a slime monster, more or less obliterating the poor and unlucky creature and not hearing Bailin's vieuws. When he was done smashing the poor, unlucky slime he turned towards Bailin with a smile and apologised for his rather violent and slaughtering outburst.
“Oh that’s not a problem for me, I’d prefer a bit more order and discipline when fighting but that’s just personal style I guess. Perhaps you are known with the battle of Hastings? The Saxons, or English, were fighting the Normans, a province of France making them French. As the story goes, the English held their ground against the French cavalry, until those ran away in a feint. The English followed the cavalry across half the field, where the French turned about and well… annihilated the English. This is of course one of the many examples through history but you get the gist of it, I hope. But onward, let us find a new monster to slaughter!” he said happily after his little ‘lesson’.
Walking through the grove Bailin heard some rustling of leaves and suddenly a young boar (lvl 1) dashed out of it, it’s lack of tusks being a the biggest tell of it being young and thus not that hard to defeat.
“Aye, cry havoc and let slip the boars of war, isn’t it?” he grinned, avoiding the charge of the boar and stabbing it in its side, leaving a small puncture wound. Turning about and lunging towards the boar he stabbed it a second time, giving it a small scratch, it was a hit but… that was all there was to be said about it.

Vitae noticed that the man, Bailin, was not putting enough power into his attack. It wasn't anything like his weapon was to weak, it was that he was being a gentleman and holding back. Vitae decided to help the man only when the man was in absolute trouble, with this he turned around to a surprise. A snake that was almost as long as Vitae's arm was pouncing at Vitae with it's wide mouth wide open. Vitae's training from his grandmother instantly came into play, Vitae quickly place his tonfa behind the snake's mouth and pushed upwards. Next Vitae quickly pulled himself in and as the snake fell Vitae's left hand tonfa came in and smashed into the snake's side. Vitae then followed the snake with a right hand tonfa and slammed the end of into the top of the snake, causing it to smash down into the ground. Vitae quickly then swept the snake upwards with his foot sending into the air, it was time to deal the final blow. Vitae decided to end it with bang, so he did the most he could do at the moment which equalled to Vitae slamming his tonfas into the snake making it spin then explode into gold and bubbles. After quickly collecting the gold from his kill he decided to look around for more kills in the general facility. [228] Bailin

From behind him Bailin heard a hissing that could only mean one thing: Snakes and he hated snakes. It might have been anything, but snakes. Seeing them on the telly was fine or behind thick glass but here… it was dreadfull, those beady little eyes staring at him as their tongues slithered in and out of their mouths, as if they were licking their sharp fangs.
But now there was a more pressing matter, a problem on four legs and a lack of tusks, standing in front of him, being a general nuisance. Side stepping Bailin stabbed the boar once, dropping its health almost to zero.
Turning on his heels so he flanked the boar, though just long enough for a single stab before the boar would turn towards and on him and Bailin was not of mind of letting that happen. Though he would respawn, he didn’t feel like it to walk the entire way back to here, probably just to hear Vitae laugh at him because he had died.
Thus he jabbed his rapier into the exposed flank of the boar, dropping its health bar to zero and thus starting the cascade into anima fragments as it let out an anguished squeal as it started it vanish.
Behind him Bailin could hear Vitae attacking something, hopefully that darn snake; did we mention Bailin hated snakes? Turning about after taking the loot the boar had left, Bailin saw Vitae bashing the snake thoroughly, being amazed by the damage his attacks did, though it was also possible the game or perhaps this new reality, had minion type monsters, the kind that one could kill with one or two hits.

As Vitae moved on he noticed that there were some rather larger shapes moving away from Vitae, interested Vitae slinked back to Bailin with a smile o his face. " Hey Bailin I think I found some large prey over there, see the two large lumps? I think those are Pitted Boars which have no skills and a max of level ten, they would make the perfect prey don't you think? I'll send out Grey Wolf to grab their attention and bring them towards us then we'll thrash them." After explaining the plan Vitae quickly chanted the summoning spell for Grey Wolf and sent the pup on it's attack. " Come on let's get into position." Vitae quickly ran to a spot where when the boars came close enough Vitae could smack one into the other. This feeling was something he only felt in a fight, blood running, the calm mind, and the absolute destruction of the enemy in front of him. Ever since Vitae's family had settled down Vitae hadn't been able to feel this feeling and he missed it, the kids at school never understood what Vitae was talking about when him, his father, and his grandfather would get in fights at the local town they were visiting. If those snobs at school ever tried to do what Vitae's family did, they would've been killed. " Yes this is what I've been missing, oh so much!" [235] Bailin

As Vitae finished up his mauling of the snake he turned to Bailin with a smile on his face, saying he had found some larger prey, thinking them most probable pitted boar, two of them. He continued to explain his cunning plan, sending out his wolf pup to draw the boars towards the two of them. The boars were supposed to be level ten max and have no skills. Calculating quickly Bailin reckoned he’d need at least eight hits, though probably more, to dispatch of one of those boars. Vitae, he reckoned, had more skills he could utilise and a wolf pup so he’d need to land about five hits, and not the eight or more Bailin had to manage to land.
Before Bailin could mention that this might be a bad plan Vitae, in his enthusiasm, rushed into position, mentioning that Bailin do the same. Grumbling Bailin went to his position behind a sturdy tree, so he could use it as a shield and attack the boars or just the one from an angle, without a too large a chance to get his cute little butt kicked by some meddlesome boar… something that became somewhat of a habit by now.
Leaning against the tree he picked to use as a shield Bailin sighed silently. ‘For a druid-class person, he is a tad out for the blood. What did ever happen to the hippy happy tree hugging druids? The guys who would sit by passively as long as people would leave their trees, flowers and animal friends remain in peace and let them be. Maybe it’s his Roman blood, making him overcompensate for the stereotypical lack of fighting prowess of the Italians.’ Thinking back on an old joke his tutor had once told him about Italian tanks, one gear to go forward and seven gears to go backwards. The thought made him chuckle, especially as he compared it to Vitae’s behaviour.
‘Ah well, at least he’ll help me get back home, so let’s stay nice to the chap for now.’ He thought as he readied himself for the next assault of menacing boars.

Noticing where Bailin had positioned himself in a rather nice spot to where if one of the boars attacked him he could hide behind the tree and have it leave the boars in a dizzied state, Vitae smiled some more. Waiting only a few more seconds till the boars were where they needed to be Vitae pounced and smashed his tonfas into one of the boar's sides. This sudden surprise attack sent the raging boar towards the other one and towards the direction of Bailin. " Get ready here they come Bailin," after quickly yelling towards Bailin Vitae switched and spoke the the wolf pup in Latin, " Oppugnare non nisi ab homine apros, canis." After giving the pup it's orders it chased to where Bailin was and leapt at one of the boars with its fangs bared and its claws sharp as razors. Vitae charged forward after the boars with all his might and decided to cause some chaos for the entire shebang going on. " Sorry Bailin things are going to get a bit blurry for about five seconds, but strike the boars with all your might, here goes Sand Curtain!" Quickly the sand and dust around Vitae was pulled together around a small ball of light and then released outwards damaging the boars with wind damage from this skill. Also just like Vitae had said, a blanket of sand and dust made it hard to see for about five seconds. [240] Bailin

As the trio were fighting, druid, warden and wolfpup, their opponents, trading blows back and forth, Vitae kept bashing the boars, whereas Bailin tried to be a tad more refined, dancing with the boars whilst riddling them with holes, slowly moving towards his intended position. When Bailin arrived there at last, Vitae had a moment of brilliance, so to speak and so Bailin thought, as the druid shouted out that they were coming, most likely referring to the boars as here appeared to be nothing in close proximity. After the notification regarding the incoming boars Vitae started rambling in Latin against his pup, making Bailin sigh inside his mind. After the druid was done with his instructions the pup shot off towards one of the boars, Vitae following suit. Next up came the call of warning, Vitae shouting something about a five second blur, ‘What ever good that will do us…’ Bailin thought to himself as he squinted his eye in preparation for the expected forecast of dust as Vitae mentioned a skill called Sand Curtain. “Understood, I will prepare to strike once the sight has been cleared once more.” Bailin said as he put his left hand in front of his eye as if he were shielding it from the sun, whilst pointing his rapier in the general area of the boars. [break][break]
Suddenly there came a gust of sand that blurred everything into vague shapes, making Bailin refrain from an assault on one of said shapes, lest he would hit either the pup or Vitae in the process. An assault at said time would also leave him open as he would not know where the boars would be after he shifted positions. So he waited patiently, counting the seconds in his head, holding his breath as not to inhale any of the sand, because that would be a pain in the nose and throat. After the five seconds Bailin launched his assault as he finally was able to see one of the boars again. Lunging forward, slightly going through his knees as he took the step, he jabbed his rapier in to the side of the boar, dropping it below half its health.
“Vitae, we’re almost done with these annoying beasts, let us end this quickly!” Bailin shouted out at Vitae as he resumed his defensive position.

" Right back at you Bailin," this what Vitae shouted at Bailin who had done an excellent job at striking the boars with elegance and technique. Once the sand had settled Bailin released a powerful strike at the boar sending one of them down to fifty percent of its health and ready to die. Vitae quickly jumped up into the air and came down on to the boar, slamming his tonfas down as if he had a monolith on his back. After releasing this huge hit on to the boar it dissipated the boar into a swirling blast of bubbles and gold that spewed up into Vitae's face as he fell on to the ground. After quickly getting his grip he then pushed off from the ground and moved swiftly towards the other boar and took the tonfa in his right hand to trip the prey, only to lose his center of gravity. Taking his body weight he flipped his body over and was ready to attack. " Now Bailin, let's finish it and go back to Londinium my friend." Landing on the ground Vitae leapt forward and stroke the beast with all of his physical might to kill it with his tonfas. " Die you mother freaking pig, boar, whatever you are monster." [211] Bailin

As Vitae responded to Bailin’s remark about ending this fight, the black and red haired druid jumped into the air and used his own body as a mortar shell, breaking his descent by smashing the boar on its back with his weapons. Oddly enough the level four druid managed to kill the boar, which made Bailin speculate on the why and how. The first thing he thought off was a glitch or perhaps even a critical hit due to the impact and most probably location of impact. The impact would most likely have hit the spine, which would cripple the boar, the force required to commit such an act would be supplied by the run and jump. ‘I should avoid pissing of monks who excel at this kind of thing. They’d pulverize me in a single stroke, turn me in a near to death pudding on tiny legs.’ Bailin thought to himself as he pictured a rather cartoon like picture of himself being flattened. The other option was a glitch in the system, though, as he had been here for a small bit of time now, this was the first time he had noticed something as drastic as this. Lastly there was the option of real life skill that translated into the game, but that would require more questions and a lot of technical aspects Bailin would rather like to avoid. Thus he let things be as they were. The boar dispersed and that was the end of that. [break][break]
The next assault of the druid resulted in a boar being tripped, the druid himself losing his balance and quickly shifting his body so he could assume an offensive position.
