Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"Oh for neep's sake! Now I'm just going in circles..." Saskia groaned in her deep Scottish accent as she dug the tip of her fingers into her ivory temples, her heavy platemail boots strikes against the surface of the cracked cobblestone and the young wolf hair released a exhausted sigh, tapping on her forehead in a rather frustrated demeanor as she inhaled the delicious scent of fresh baked apple pies at the nearby bakery. She blew the shimmering pink hair from in front of her face, as she rolled her eyes with sharp disapproval at surrounding scenery. She was surrounded a by magnificent landscape and ancient English architecture, though she didn't seem that enthusiastic about it all, not being much of a gamer anyway.
A time worn parliament building protruded in the center. She had become lost in the chaotic fluster of excited new players that burst through the streets in elated glee, brandishing their pristine starter gear in vibrant awe and excitement."This has got to be the stupidest freaking game...I'm literally wasting brain cells spending time with all these geeks. They probably are a bunch of League of Legend nerds...Tch...I belong on stage! With the rest of my band and the roadies! Why did I have to get stuck in this god awful game anyway... I could be eating lobster bisque and drinking a glass of Moscato in my villa in Glouscestorshire..." Saskia quipped as she twisted her lips and began to scrutinize her own attire, feeling quite uncomfortable in her clunky new wardrobe.
"Why on earth did I let Lacey talk me into this class. I look like wonder woman on steroids! And this bloody platemail is cracking my back! Now how the hell do I take it off!?! " Saskia muttered naively as she scratched the outer edge of her right brow, before holding out slender fingers, exposing her flat palm as she stretched out and the muscles in her fingers tensed as a surge of pulsing luminescent purified white light erupting and dilated into a massive interface screen, displaying various options and current status information.
Her sapphire blue eyes squinted down the list, isolating the desired text labeled "Inventory". "Sounds about right to me..."Waving her hand down, pointing the tips of her finger along the menu, she scrolled down and selected the option with a quick jab of her right index finger. There were several ideal items displayed, however her attention was focused on removing the heavy burden, by any means necessary. Without a second thought about it, she selected "Unequip" from the menu, waving dismissively at the red negative stat warnings, and began tilt her head in exalted relaxation as she exerted a sigh of relief , closing her eyes at the sky, with a short lived smile as her dull metallic armor began to dissolve into a vaporous mist. "Ahhh, now this is what I call paradise!"
She suddenly felt this overwhelming sensation to massage her shoulders with her hand to ease the tension, but when slender fingers traced over the line of a crimson bra strap, Saskia shrieked in a heightened sense of alert! Her eyes flicked open with her jaw dropped to the floor. "Oi! What type of sick joke is this!?! That's it! I'm suing the developers! I'll make them go bankrupt for this, I swear it!"Her pissed off Scottish tone rained down like the Niagra falls. Talk about embarrassment. If there was ever an all time low in Saskia's history. This might have just took the cake. There she stood, in the bustling crowd of gazing eyes that loomed over her with cackling laughter, mischievous winks, and patronizing cat calls.
Saskia facepalmed and broke all sense of composure and bearing as she squirmed about and leaped to hide behind a tall wooden post with a lantern looming overhead. "Damn you, Lacey...why didn't you tell me this stupid game never bothered to give us real clothes! I knew I should have chosen the Bard! This class is stupid! They don't even have any cute clothes, for crying out loud! I look like I could bench press a horse!" Saskia shouted outside the realm of her own mind in public as angry eyes frisked the interface menu for her Starter Platemail and she equipped it once more, her eyes flickering up to the now green positive stat bonuses.
The heavy metal cocoon began to materialize and case Saskia in her metallic prison, as she succumbed to the weight and she collapsed to her knees, staggering slightly as she cradled the wooden pole with both arms. A heavy sigh slipped from the cavern of her lips as she gritted her teeth afterward and muttered a few curses under her breath. "I'm such a clutz...I damn near broke my ankles...and I thought walking in heels was hell..." Planting a firm heel on the ground and gripping tightly unto the pole to help her maintain balance she rose up to her feet with her feet pointed inward in a pidgeon-toed manner. Her pink ponytail slid from behind her back and over her left shoulder as she got her bearings.
With a brief nod of her head, she impulsively withdrew from the area, silently hoping that no one had paid much attention to her and that hopefully she could disappear among the crowd. It would have been easy enough, had she not selected a bright floral pink texture for her hair. She stood out worse than dwarf among werecats. There was just no hope for Saskia to escape the tragic series of events that occured outside the Old Parliament building. "Seems like the only subclass I'm leveling out here is the public nudist!" She grumbled as her arms swayed in front of her as her legs lagged behind, as if she was trudging through a thick tar, as she made her desperate retreat inside the Old Parliament building, liberating her from the incitement of snickering fools. She strolled over to a nearby bench within the halls chambers and began to run her delicate fingers through her hair, trying to collect her thoughts.
"I just know it has to be around here somewhere..."
Saskia looked up into the void of space before her before summoning the virtual interface menu once more, she drifts her fingers back down to the section of the interface screen labeled "Inventory" and thrusts her finger into it once more, before scrolling down to the bottom, repeatedly hearing a vibration every time she slams the scrolling slider down towards the bottom, frantically searching for the missing piece of regular clothing that was not there.
"Stupid...freaking...this is so stuuuuupid!"
With a light scowl, she viciously swipe away at interface screen, easily annoyed by some of it's features, effectively slicing it in half before it shattered into misty particles.
Saskia slammed her right hand against the back of the bench, and kicked up a leg, resting it on her knee, her left arm stretched atop the wooden bench, hugging it tightly."Nothing in this game makes a wee' bit o' sense...." She cringed as she glanced skeptically about the halls, lost in thought. The diamond checkered floor was slightly polished and it was clearly obvious that the once immaculate interior had lost some of it's former luster. Saskia smirked curiously at the ruins with mild intrigue, silent thoughts of exploration dotting across her thoughts. She savored her brief solitude and embraced it before her ears twitched to the sudden sound of incoming thunderous footsteps.
A herd of guild members had all stormed passed her, marching in file as they crowded around a figure that wore a clearly superior coat of armor and crimson raiment. They seemed to have been organizing themselves rather well and were seemingly having much fun discussing various builds, items, and dungeons in the game."Well, they certainly seem to be excited, I wonder how so many of them grouped together so fast. There is so many classes and races, too. The game is pretty diverse when you think about it."An inquisitive and adventurous nature sparked from the rise of Saskia's curious brow. An envious glare eluded from her eyes as she began to contemplate on how...empty her friends list was. It was a barren wasteland void of all life and existence. She began to grow lonely, frowning a bit, and started to figure that it was time for a little friendly interaction with someone to pass the time.

"I spent enough time working on my subclass stuff, it's time to go hunting!" Steel said as he walked around town. The day had already turned into afternoon but Steel thought he still had some time to hunt. He took out the map he had made a week or two ago and began searching for the gate leading into the woods. I'm glad I made this map. I still have trouble finding my way around town. It also helps me chart out new areas I haven't explored yet. Steel thought to himself. He was feeling glad for having chosen the scribe subclass. The Courtesan subclass however was another story. He hasn't found too much of a use yet and hasn't really used it much, on purpose anyway. Once in a while, it activated the skill 'Allure' on its own as if it were a running gag from some manga or anime, attracting other's, mainly of the opposite gender, attention despite his simple attire. Attracting so much attention was unnerving to Steel from time to time which is why he immediately turned it off when he noticed that it was activated. Even though he couldn't see any use for it, Steel was stubborn and refused to change subclasses until he found a practical use for it. The reason being that an acquaintance of his from the Japanese server had told him that there was potential for every subclass. As he walked past the Parliament Building, he saw a girl close to his age most likely get into a panic, taking off her armor as she seemed to be irritated with it. Out of embarrassment, Steel averted his vision but it seemed that not everyone was as gentlemanly and gave teasing laughs to the girl who appeared to re-equip her armor from the sounds of it. It was then he elected to bring his vision back to the girl who, most likely out of embarrassment, ran into the Parliament Building. For some reason, he decided to go and see what she was doing so he entered the building as well while making it look like he was one of the people who had a normal reason for going in. When he entered, he saw the girl alone on a bench panicking again. From the earlier situation, he presumed it had something to do with her clothing. He then saw that she seemed to give up about the situation and now she just looked lonely. It sort of reminded him of himself before he met Kyousuke. He walked over to the girl and greeted her. "You new here? A huge surprise huh, all of a sudden appearing in the game right?" He said with a friendly smile as he took off his outer long cloak and offered it to the girl. "You wanted to take off your armor but couldn't due to the fact you don't have much clothes underneath right? You can borrow my cloak then so you can relax a bit. It reaches my knees and I'm 6 feet tall. It should reach your ankles or something. It may not be cute or anything like that but it can cover you up for the time being." As he was doing so, romantic sparkles came out from him, giving him an attention drawing aura of sorts which was a result of the Courtesan skill turning on by itself like the running gag it was. Immediately after noticing it, Steel turned it off out of annoyance, snapping the girl out of whatever trance she was in because of it. "Geez, the system must be acting up or something again. Sorry about that. You okay?" He asked, hoping it didn't affect her too much. OOC: Welcome to the forum!! Nice to meet you. SaskiaWords: 620

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Saskia rested the tip of her chin in her soft palms as she began to continue people watching, she was quietly becoming fascinated with how many variety of races and classes there were in this world. She couldn't help but chuckle at a passing dwarf hobble about the hallway. She seemed amazingly captivated by the small wonders of this world as adventurers walked around on their mounts and showed off their impressive summons and shikigami. "Whoa...now that's some freaky stuff...you don't see that everyday..." She muttered as she began to see a golem swirl into from the slabs of cobblestone from an open hole in the broken side of the building.
Her eyes fluttered towards the door as she saw a rather tall man approach her. Great. Probably another one of her adoring fans trying to get an autograph...wait, no, there were no fans in this world. There wasn't even a stage as far as she knew. Reminiscent thoughts began to plague her mind as she missed having the grandeur of being a music artist. Her eyes began to refocus as the male grew came closer. She glance at the HUD silhouette above his head and read that he was a...Swashbuckler? Whatever the hell that was. Saskia had the slighted clue. Whatever it was, it sounded shady. Maybe he was a theif, or a pirate! Well, whatever it was, he was already ready guilty of it because he had already rose to level five in it, and just because he's level 5 doesn't mean he'll get to plead the fifth, when Saskia ever interrogates him about it!
Her thoughts began to stream wildly as he spoke in a well-mannered tone. "You new here? A huge surprise huh, all of a sudden appearing in the game right?" Her right eye twitched at the former question. How dare he? How dare he!?! She went through all that effort making her character look like a badass so people would think that she was high level and would bow to her and brings her tea and the little fancy mini sandwiches, but he...this nefariously cloaked gentleman, implied that -she- was a newb. No! Insolence! She was divine royalty! Or at least so she thought in the lowly, barely effective armor she wore and the bright white "LVL 1 Guardian" that hovered above the Wolf Hair's head like a looming sword of Damocles. She was about to make a snide remark when he rudely interru--
Oh, my he has such a lovely smile...and look at how stylish he is, he's sooooo dreamy. I just want to pinch his cute little ears!~
She became enamored with Steel, falling into a slight uncontrollable trance, as his artificially charming nature electrified her senses and made her surrender to sweet captivity as she listened to the words the escaped his lips.
"You wanted to take off your armor but couldn't due to the fact you don't have much clothes underneath right? You can borrow my cloak then so you can relax a bit. It reaches my knees and I'm 6 feet tall. It should reach your ankles or something. It may not be cute or anything like that but it can cover you up for the time being."
Suddenly, the blushing of her cheeks began to fade and she groaned, quizzically blinking profusely and snapping out of her trance, before reaching up to interact with her interface and accept the onesided trade offered by Steel.
"Geez, the system must be acting up or something again. Sorry about that. You okay?"
"What the hell was that? I felt like I was taking on a prepubescent nightmare of an episode of Dawson's Creek..." Saskia replied as she glanced once more up at Steel with a rich skepticism. Yep. Definitely shady. Better keep your gold pouch close by. She thought as her hands began to pulse and she equipped his ebony robe, the material of her heavy armor mutated into a lighter attire that engulfed most of her body. Oddly enough, it seemed to have tailored itself to Saskia's build, dilating itself to the preportions of the wearer.
"Yeah, I'm pretty new I'd say. Not a fan or anything really. I'm just stuck here because my sister tried to get me to join her. I don't really played video games. I'm more into music. That sort of thing. But I guess this is my new home now, so I figure, might as well get settled in." Saskia shrugged as she felt a lot more at ease, not having the discomfort of having the bear the weight of the heavy plate armor in the city. She slid over offering him room to take a seat, being mindful to cross her legs, incase he were some type of pervert! Saskia kept gazing curiously at his class title, and then her own as she uploaded the data on the status bar of the HUD. "You must be one of santa's little elfs! Thanks for the temporary christmas present! I feel so much better now. Name's Ho-...Errr..wait..oh gosh now before you start thinking the wrong thing, let me figure out what I named this character...I keep forgetting that everyone here Identifies themself by their uhm...what do you call it? Ingame names?"
Saskia began to bring up her status bar, peering up at her character information, reading the name she gave to her character. "Ah! Right-o! Here it is. Yeah, Name's Saskia! So you excited for the holidays? Christmas will be coming soon, you know? It already looks like everybody is getting excited. Kind of funny though, You'd think some of them would miss their families this time of year...but I guess that's what they've got their guilds for!"
Saskia chuckled, shaking her head at the joyous adventurers that locked arms around each other and sang christmas carols in a seemingly drunken stupor. No doubt about it. She was surrounded by idiots. Perhaps this gentleman could inspire her to be a bit more enthusiastic about the game? Then again, maybe not, some people were were just too stuck in their ways...and Saskia in all her stubborn glory would prove to be a very hard nut to crack.

"Hahaha, I guess we're in the same boat then." Steel said with a bit of a laugh. "My little sister's the reason why I logged into the game on the English Server having asked me to teach her how to get through the game." He then listed to the girl for a bit. "I guess I like music too, I sing as well as played the piano and guitar in the real world. But if that's the case, why didn't you choose the bard as your main class? You would have gotten something you would have enjoyed." He said as he sat down next to her when she offered him the spot next to him. For some reason, she was crossing her legs, something Steel didn't quite understand its purpose but he decided to ignore it. The girl then went on about Christmas related things. "I'm not an elf, do you see any pointy ears on me?" He said in response as he pointed to his ears. Unlike the elf race where there ears were pointy, Steel's race, the Half-Alvs had ears that were like a human's. In fact, everything except for a marking on their tongue was the same as the human class in terms of appearance. "You're welcome, glad you feel better. I just wanted to help." He said in his normal friendly tone although on the inside, he was a bit taken aback as it was rare for people to thank him for what he does. In this world and the real one, Steel has always been a shadow, someone who is there but isn't really noticed. He thought he'd continue to live, completely ignoring anyone else until Kyousuke told him even from the shadows, he could help someone and that's what he's been doing. The girl then began to introduce herself and apparently accidentally started with her real name, that idea proven from how she stopped midway and started looking for her game name. "So your name is Hope huh? That's a nice name." When the girl looked at him in surprise, Steel began to explain his analysis. "I figured it out from the first syllable you said 'Ho'. You're not Japanese from what I can tell so that eliminates the Japanese names that start with 'Ho'. And with my limited knowledge on English names, Hope seems to be the most common name to have that starting syllable and it appears I'm correct based on your facial reaction. Your in-game name is a good name as well. To make up for what I thought was rude of me, I'll tell you my name too. I'm Takeshi Kurogane, my in-game name is Steel. It's nice to meet you." He said with a smile as he stuck out his hand for handshake. "Do you have a preferred name to be referred to? You seem to be more used to your real name." The girl then began to talk of Christmas once again. Steel expected as much as Christmas was right around the corner. She then asked about his opinion about the holidays. "Well, I'm not exactly sure what to feel. I like the whole feeling of Christmas going around but I don't really have anything to do on that day. I'm not in a guild and I don't know anyone that well enough to hang out with them on such a holiday." He said this with a slightly sad smile before deciding to change the target of the question. "Do you have any plans for the holidays? Wait, you just got here so you should probably get used to this world first. This isn't a game anymore. In some ways, it's a whole new reality. So much stuff can be done now that couldn't be done when this was a game. People can now make all sorts of new things. One could even become a performer or something and sing in front of a real audience. There wasn't even a real stage when this was a game." OOC: Did you know there's an Idol subclass? Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________"Oi, so ye be one of them chinamen, are ye? I heard a lot about you lot~ Bombs in North korea and all that. Rumor has it you guys might be the ones behind this whole mumbo jumbo as part of a secret underground terrorist assault!" Saskia asserted in her thick scottish accent.
Saskia was appalled by how clever and perceptive the Half-Alv was. Not only was he able to predict her real name...which clearly had her in a great deal of astonishment as she had a bit of a cheerful bewilderment when her name slipped from his lips as if she was watching some entertaining circus act, he had also managed to catch her slip up.
"And is that really how you figured out my name or are you some kind of undercover spy! Well, I won't be held for ransom, I'll fight tooth and nail, I will. Kicking and screaming, I swear it!"
She glanced up once more at Steel, squinting at the Half-alv skeptically. "It's already bad enough that you're going on about working your bloody voodoo magicks! I won't be taking for no ol' schoolgirl, chum! So you can pump your brakes on that one! My mum always taught me about men who tried to use clever tricks to try to gain a girl's attention! Well, I won't be fooled! Saskia gives a firm nod of her head as she rises up with a firm nod, her hands placed on her hips.
Saskia held her gaze, having a rather cold and icy demeanor. Then after scrutinizing him a few moments further, she waved her hand dismissively, chuckling, before gleaming with a bright smile. "My apologies, that was my impersonation of my crazy sister Lacey...she's a bit of a wild card, that one, I truly do miss her really and her insane shenanigans. Haven't seen her since we got stuck in this game..."
Her saddened eyes grow clear as she pulls their gaze up from the floor and back at Steel, brandishing a graceful smile.
"Anyways, you hit the nail on the head my friend. Name's Hope." And with a cocky grin, she added. "And on the battlefield, I'll be known as the Legendary Saskia Steelheart!" A finger pointing above to the name, race, rank, and level that appeared above her head. "Heh..that's if I ever make it to the battlefield, it's all in my head right now, but I normally really just walk around the town square or the pub and chat it up with the locals. It's crazy that you got stuck in this server, Takeshi, or...is it Kurogane-kun? I remember reading up a bit on honourifics. Was supposed to learn Japanese, but I never quite got around to it, Mr. Steel."
Saskia meditated on the last bit of info and details he mentioned that she hadn't addressed yet.
"Oh, right, almost forgot! It's a pleasure to meet you as well." "I really didn't have much choice in the matter. I told my sister I really can't be arsed to figure out all this "build" stuff on my own and she made this picked out most of this stuff for me. I don't dare change it, because well, it's kind of one of the few remnants I have left of her. This is what she saw me as, so I'm hoping that if I stay the same, it will make it easier for her to find me. I wish we had told each other our ingame names...would have made things a whole lot easier."
Saskia shifted to subject, trying to manipulate the aura of emotions that were cast out by her former statement.
"But yes, I really don't care for games, but I must admit, it is pretty innovative. I've been watching a ton of neat stuff being built and crafted around these parts. It would be nice to get an instrument or a nice vanity dress, now that I mention it." Saskia smiled. "You know..I heard rumors of there being a Winter ball of sorts. It might be a grand idea if you went to it! Might snag you a pretty girl! Well, let's hope she's a girl..."

Post by Sergej on Dec 17, 2014 4:56:41 GMT
Sergej had just finished practicing his own ability to walk, when he heard several ‘Oohs’ and ‘Ahs’ come from those around him. He scanned the scene to find out what people were seeing, and noticed a woman standing almost entirely in the nude. His cheeks flushed as he partially looked away, but a flash of light caused him to look back. Suddenly, armor appeared on the woman; this amazed Sergej as he had never even see something like that. Hands began to fly together in front of Sergej as he clapped rather loudly, doing a slight cheer. Approaching the woman was the next thing on his mind, but she quickly walked off. Following the woman, he paused and pretended he was doing no such thing when a man walked over and began... sparkling at her? What? Sergej is now confused. Thankfully, Sergej was just out of earshot distance, as the man that started talking to said woman seemed to say a single word, and the woman was obviously shocked. Now it is time for Sergej to step in! Funnily, he began walking closer as the woman announced the phrase “Legendary Saskia Steelheart.” This sparked Sergej to laugh boisterously, causing him to pause until the two were finished with their current chat. After the two finished, he walked over, and began to speak, even before they acknowledged his presence was being added to the duo. “Da! and I soon called Great Dmitri the Giant!” He began laughing once more before his face straightened, causing him to look bit too serious. “Greeting. I Sergej. Nice to meet.” His heavy russian accent bled through hard and strong, even his sentences were shortened by it. Patting his chest he smiled. “I have question for pretty lady,” he announced as he turned towards Saskia. “My apologies for bothering. How you put armor on?” His face genuinely showed that he was utterly confused. “Oh, and you can answer, Sparkle-boy.” Sergej glanced over at the Wolf-Hair, before smiling once more. The new man that had appeared stands six feet four inches, is built rather thick, causing the starter platemail to appear much larger than it would on others. His hair is a dark blue, appearing slightly slick as each of the strands seem to be in bundles of many, rather than alone. Equipment: Starter Platemail, Starter Great-Axe. Word Count: 385 Notes: Sergej is pronounced Sir-jay, and Dmitri is pronounced D-me-tree, and his accent is extremely rough. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone misheard him. Post by Sylric on Dec 17, 2014 9:42:42 GMT
Sylric nonchalantly stood against a wall in the Old Parliament building. He found that this was the best way to eavesdrop on the citizens of this world. It usually led to many lucrative opportunities for him to pursue. He had been surveying a group of adventurers that were planning an expedition into the wild. His eyes were intently focused on the ground as he listened in on them. “We’re not ready yet.” said one of the players. “We barely made it out alive the last time we went farming.” “We could have made it if you weren’t such a log head, rushing out and getting obliterated by everything with a blade.” shouted a female voice. “Well, if you weren’t such a terrible healer, this wouldn’t even be an issue.” the other player responded. “Enough. We need to work together if we are to get anything done.” another voice chimed in, obviously he was the more mature one in their little party. Sylric just rolled his eyes as he walked away, flicking his blonde hair away from his face. I would rather not be involved in that feeding frenzy. His walked towards the exit. Maybe I can strike out on my own. I am an Assassin after all. With a bit of kiting and cleverness I can make quick work of a few monsters. He was nearly exiting the building when a bubblegum haired beauty bursted through the door. Her face was a bit red. Boy does she look like she has an axe to grind. And a grinding it would be judging from her physique. Sylric didn’t really care to go and check on her, but someone else followed her through the doors. A raven haired boy who could easily be mistaken for a vampire if they existed in this world. His eyes were even black, which is a rarity in reality. This could be interesting. Sylric slyly walked a few steps behind the boy and continued walking once he stopped moving. He posted himself against another wall with his back towards them, but he remained within earshot. Sylric gleaned a lot from their conversation, like their names. He was also certain that the female player was prone to theatrics, her Scottish accent didn’t help make her musings any less entertaining. Sylric could have some fun with this Legendary Saskia Steelheart. He turned around, preparing to approach the pair, when a burly man approached and enthusiastically shouted, “Da! and I soon called Great Dmitri the Giant!” A small grin tugged at the corner’s of Sylric mouth at the sight of this individual. His heavy Russian accent added some whimsy to his words. What a treat. Sylric wasn’t much shorter than this Great Dmitri fellow, but he nowhere near the same level of muscle mass as him. Sylric let out a chuckle as he heard the name Sparkle-boy. This guy is absolutely hilarious.Sylric decided to make an entrance, but he was certain he couldn’t top Dmitri’s boisterous behavior. Instead, he settled on his typical gentlemanly approach. Sauntering over to the trio of players he bowed his head slightly before beginning to speak. “ How do you do? It is a pleasure to meet you all. The name is Sylric,” he said with the most dapper tone imaginable. His voice was as smooth as silk. He spoke with a noble sophistication. “ Would you mind if I joined you all in exchanging idle pleasantries? I could do with a bit of company.” Word Count: 587 Tags: Saskia Steel Sergej

“I’m not Chinese, I’m Japanese!” Steel said in rebuttal to Saskia/Hope’s statement as the girl began to act a little strange and started going on about a secret underground terrorist assault. “And why would the Chinese be the attackers when they have just as many people, if not more trapped in this game than us!?!” For once, he had to play the straight man, the person pointing out the ridiculousness or the lack of common sense of a statement. She then went back to looking surprised about how he was able to guess her name so accurately and accused him with the ridiculous idea of him being a spy. “I’m not a spy, I just used simple logic! You don’t have to worry about being held for ransom.” Steel exclaimed in rebuttal. Saskia/Hope then went on a bit of a rant which made Steel sweat drop. After a while of that, she all of a sudden apologized, causing Steel to become surprised as she explained that the way she acted earlier was an impersonation of her sister, causing him to sweat drop once again. Why were you doing that in the first place? Steel said in his mind. He then noticed how sad she looked as she was remembering her sister. “I think I know how you feel since I’m in the same situation, I don’t know where my sister is either. I’m sure we’ll find our siblings at some point.” The girl then officially introduced herself with her real name. Almost right afterward, she introduced herself as the ‘Legendary Saskia Steelheart’. A bit full of herself, isn’t she? Steel thought to himself as she said it in a joking tone saying that it was only in her head. “If you want, I can help you get used to the fields and fighting monsters.” Steel offered knowing he had a person to help him through this and he also had a student of his own. She then began to wonder how to address him. “Takeshi is fine or whatever you want to call me as long as it’s not ridiculous or embarrassing.” He said in response. “So do you have a preference as to what I call you?” The girl later talked about a Winter Ball. In the real world, Steel/Takeshi was never really good with social gatherings so he was a bit worried about it. “I probably won’t be noticed too much by the people there so I doubt that’s going to happen.” Steel said in rebuttal to her idea of snagging a girl at the ball. “And what about you? You should come along as well and try getting to know some new people.” He then saw another guardian approach the two of them. Unlike the girl he just met who wanted to take off her armor, the reason why she was wearing his coat right now, this man seemed to enjoy wearing his armor. Well, at least more than Saskia/Hope. He greeted them with a Russian accent. A Russian huh? Hopefully, he won’t be as annoying as some others I know that are similar to him. Steel thought to himself. Well, from how he asked Saskia about equipping armor and how he said that Steel could answer as if he wasn’t necessary, Steel became annoyed. “Just open your menu select your equip screen. You can equip stuff from your inventory from there. You can also equip from the inventory itself.” Steel answered. It was then another player came to greet them. “Now you come out and actually walk up to us.” Steel said with a suspicious tone in his voice. “I’m not that dumb, you’ve been listening in on us haven’t you, you stalker?” He didn’t hesitate with the insult. “It’s rude to do stuff like that you know.” Words: 632 Saskia

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________Saskia rubbed the back of head innocently at the Swashbuckler's sharp rebuttal. She apparently had struck a nerve with her boisterous impersonation. Apparently, the boy didn't seem to appreciate her sister's sense of humor. Hopefully, he had thick skin and didn't take it personally, since it was all in good fun as she had explained previously.
“I think I know how you feel since I’m in the same situation, I don’t know where my sister is either. I’m sure we’ll find our siblings at some point.”
Saskia felt a deep sense of empathy and and sorrow for his, hopefully, temporary loss. She tugged on the color of her cloak, with both hands on each side, uncrossing her feet, but clenching her thighs tight together, feeling quite emotionally vulnerable at the moment.
“So do you have a preference as to what I call you?”
"Pleasure to meet you, Takeshi-san, My real name's Hope. Hope MacLaren as a matter of fact. Though I doubt you would probably believe that. That's who I am in the real world I'm from Scotland, and I lived in a villa in Gloucestorshire. Music was my art and what I loved, but now I don't even know what I am anymore. That armor, that shield and sword...I suppose that is who I've become now. Everything else is still irrelevant....but at least I want to keep a piece of who I am. I know we all have usernames. But I don't want to forget who are...that deep down in side...I'm still Hope."
“Da! and I soon called Great Dmitri the Giant!”
Saskia chuckled at the ridiculous accent and smiled gracefully at the silly human male. He was a massive man and he shared the same class as her, though they varied immensely in stature.
"Da! Or Sergej, the Big Red Bear!" Saskia exclaimed in her own version of a thick russian accent, pointing at the vibrant username above his head.
“I have question for pretty lady,” Saskia blushed slightly, she loved listening to foreign accents and Russian ones were among her top three. “My apologies for bothering. How you put armor on?” His confused demeanor made her giggle as she simply shrugged her shoulders, feigning ignorance about the game and looking up to Steel. “Oh, and you can answer, Sparkle-boy.” Saskia tried to stifle a mischievous snicker at the comment, becoming quite amused with the giant.
“How do you do? It is a pleasure to meet you all. The name is Sylric,” A rather refined Elven gentleman approached. It seemed that he came most of the general information players usually have displayed over their heads private. Somewhat shay in nature, however it didn't bother Saskia much. “Would you mind if I joined you all in exchanging idle pleasantries? I could do with a bit of company.”
"Uhm, yeah sure, I don't see why not."
“I’m not that dumb, you’ve been listening in on us haven’t you, you stalker?”
"See! I told you there were spies about!" Saskia playfully points an accusing finger at the sly Elf, chuckling before waving a dismissive hand, before wagging a finger at the group. "Now, now, settle down boys.." He's probably just a newbie here like the rest of us, well...except you. Mr. Experienced." Saskia sends an upward nod at Steel, eyeballing his higher level parameters.
"Now, you mentioned something about going out to the fields and...fighting monsters? Hunting's a bit of a man's sport 'innit it? Sounds a bit barbaric if you ask me. But well, I'm running out of coin and I'll be sleeping outside the inn tonight if I don't get any work done. Darn landers, so stubborn...I guess a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do. Let's fetch us some coin, shall we?"

"Oh. Dmitri just open menu then?" The large russian man paused for a moment too long as an Elf walked up and joined the three-way, turning it into a four way; simply acknowledging his presence with a nod. "What is menu?" He sighed before he started boring his mind for information. Kneeling down, he curved his hand around his face while he thought. Where had he seen the word menu before? Right! Back of box. Said something about using finger to open menu. "Da! I figured out!" He announced as he popped open his menu. Many large buttons appeared in his vision, but not the other's. His finger found the inventory button, and then he curiously clicked on his equipped armor, causing it to fly off. "Gah! Not expect sudden breeze" He panicked, and practically did the exact same thing Saskia had done earlier, but he had missed, causing the armor to re-appear. Unlike Saskia however, he stood up as the armor appeared, rather than took a knee.
Wait, pretty lady was talking about going out to kill monsters? He glanced at the massive Axe on his back, then suddenly drew it in one pull. "YEAH! DMITRI LIKE THE SMASHING!" To add effect to his words, Sergej forced the axe to spin like a top before holding it above his head, laughing.

Sylric was greeted by the players, but one in particular wasn't too keen on his presence, Steel. He didn't waste time with formalities and jumped right to the accusations of Sylric being a stalker. Sylric sighed with disappointment before strugging. I guess I need to work on my stealth tactics. He looked at Steel with a wry smile.
"You may call it stalking, but I call it procurring talent," he said with a matter-of-fact tone. "Now, why don't you simmer down. There's no need for ties to severed so soon."
Saskia joked about him being a spy, which wouldn't be too far off from the truth, but Sylric figured he would just leave that out of the conversation. She seemed more interested in preventing Steel from getting too aggressive, anyway. She even helped Dmitri with using his menu appropriately, which led to quite the eyeful for Sylric. My, my. Sylric raised a curious eyebrow at the now naked Guardian. He was quite amusing and innocent in a way, even though he is as huge as an ogre.
At the mention monster hunting, Sylric's attention turned from Sergej to Saskia. She was interested in going out into the fields to battle. Sylric couldn't agree more.
"Now, that's the ticket. I could use a bit of practice myself." Sylric added. He didn't like being called a noob, seeing as he had experience in games like this one, but his character didn't reflect that at all. It was up to him to make it back to his previous stature of a top player. Sylric began to picture himself sitting atop a pile of loot and gold. A grin spread across his face at thought. He was snapped out of his reverie by the shouting of Dmitiri.
"YEAH! DMITRI LIKE THE SMASHING!"
Sylric jumped out of the way as he began spinning his axe around like a madman. He admired his enthusiasm, but his disregard for chopping of limbs was worrying.
"Easy there. Would you mind handling that axe with a bit more finesse?" Sylric suggested. He wanted to be able to keep his arms and head attached to the rest of his torso, but that looked difficult given the current state of things.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Hope-san.” Steel said with a small smile. He then listened to a bit of her past and all the while, he analyzed different parts of what she said here and there out of habit. “Sorry, but that name doesn’t really ring a bell with me.” Steel said referring to Hope’s full name. “Based on what you said and how you said certain things, I infer that you must have been a popular singer or a pop star. Don’t take it the wrong way but I don’t really know too much about popular people, even if they’re international stars. Besides, I’d rather get to know the actual person rather than an image the common people make up themselves. As for who you are now, you’re still you even after you’ve gotten that equipment just like how I’m still me even with these two swords on my back. The new equipment we have on is just a new part that’s been added onto our lives. Nothing’s been erased or replaced so don’t say anything like everything else is irrelevant. You’re Saskia, the player as well as Hope MacLaren, the person.” In some ways, Steel said acting like his late friend Kyousuke which was beginning to happen a lot more often. Hope then began talking about going out hunting. “Well, hunting is just a term for going out into the fields so we can gain experience from fighting. The more you level up, it gets easier and as you said, you earn money from it. It takes a lot more planning than you would think, especially with a group.” It was then the newcomer guardian who had just put back on the armor he unequipped also wanted to join in on the hunting in an excited tone. And began swinging his axe around as well. The stalker elf who Steel still had his suspicions about, also wanted to join in and he had a creepy smile on his face which was interrupted by the Russian’s growing shouts while swinging the axe worrying everyone. “Okay now, enough’s enough. Let’s calm down now shall we?” Steel said before stopping the spinning axe with a finger to the handle. Luckily, it seemed that the large amount physical strength he got from training in the real world had been transferred to the character and it only grew with his normal training so despite his appearance, he was probably the strongest physically out of the four players that have gathered. “Swinging such a thing in a building like this is dangerous you know.” Steel said to the Russian as he gently but firmly took the axe from him and stuck it in the ground, thus ending the axe spinning mayhem. “I like your energy but let’s save it for when we come across those monsters.” He said this with a friendly smile. “So are we all in agreement for going out to fight some monsters?” He said to the whole group. It looked like it was his turn to teach multiple people. His mentor had done the same, teaching him and two other people. Words: 522 SaskiaSylricSergej

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Hope-san.”
Saskia beamed with delight. She enjoyed the well-mannered Japanese player. He was polite and courteous and above all else patient and slow to anger. She could sense a good spirit from him, and wondered if those traits were something instilled in him since birth from his parents.
Ha...he's awfully quite kind, actually.
"Thank you. I'm charmed!"
She smiled graciously as her sapphire eyes connected with his ebony gemstones as dark as night.
“Sorry, but that name doesn’t really ring a bell with me.”
He doesn't know who I am? Ah, riiiight. He's from Japan. I haven't even really made it on the charts over there. Though, I do love singing J-pop and K-pop songs with my bestie, Yukiko.
"Yeah, I'm not so popular in Japan, I suppose. Mainly Scotland, Ireland, England, and parts of America."
“Based on what you said and how you said certain things, I infer that you must have been a popular singer or a pop star. Don’t take it the wrong way but I don’t really know too much about popular people, even if they’re international stars. Besides, I’d rather get to know the actual person rather than an image the common people make up themselves. The new equipment we have on is just a new part that’s been added onto our lives. Nothing’s been erased or replaced so don’t say anything like everything else is irrelevant. You’re Saskia, the player as well as Hope MacLaren, the person.”
The young boy spoke with so much power and conviction in his words. Whereas she understood what he meant by the real person and not the one producers have doll them self up to put on a show. Not that that concerned Saskia, because being a entertainer was part of who she was, but she slowly came to the resolution that te young boy was correct in his assumption.
It is quite lonely at the top...you start to learn than you have more fans and less friends. And those that you think are your friends, as soon as you don't shine as bright as before, or you get caught up in some lies by the bloody paparazzi, they are quick to disassociate themselves with you. Funny, how they always come back when that new album drops and they want an invite to the album release party because you're making money again...some people I swear....
Saskia shook her head at the thought, but smiled as Steel ended on a positive noted with a few hidden truths.
"Well, I think you've got the right idea, and your hearts certainly in the right place, Steel. We'll have to make the best of it, instead of wallowing in sorrow. Who know...maybe this is the vacation from life we all need!"
Saskia threw her hands up in a vibrant cheer as her cloak, began to rustle up as she stood up from the bench in excitement. She gave Steel a thumbs up tethered together with a wink and a smile as she listened to him continue.
“Well, hunting is just a term for going out into the fields so we can gain experience from fighting. The more you level up, it gets easier and as you said, you earn money from it. It takes a lot more planning than you would think, especially with a group.”
"You know what? Ah, what the hell! Let's bust some bad guys up! Wooo!!!"
It seemed she wasn't the only one who was thrilled with enthusiasm as a brutish Guardian began to swirl his axe around like a Russian madman on the battlefields of Stalingrad before the cold war, releasing a vicious war cry while doing so.
"YEAH! DMITRI LIKE THE SMASHING!"
His triumphant cry rang out through the halls as several pedestrians passed by and shot awkward glances at him, whispering to each other and snickering at his behaivour.
"Whoooa, calm down there papa bear! I'd liked to keep my head on my shoulders and not rolling down the hallway so some Fox Tails can play football with it!"
Saskia liked his enthusiasm, and understood the slight....cultural difference. Still, she didn't want anyone harmed and axes were dangerous!
"Easy there. Would you mind handling that axe with a bit more finesse?"
The Elf quipped in a rather non-aggresive manner. Judging by his choice of words, she thought of him to possibly be an archer or very calculating fighter. Using weapons that required this... "Finesse".
“I like your energy but let’s save it for when we come across those monsters.”
Steel didn't seem to be taking anybody's shit today as he snatched the axe from the massive Russian hero, Dmitri the Giant. Saskia nodded in agreement and chuckled as Steel layed down the law.
"So are we all in agreement for going out to fight some monsters?”
Saskia began to fist pump in excitement and bounce around on her tiptoes like a vivacious cheerleader.
"Yeah, let's start a party!!! I'll send out the invites!"
Saskia threw an arm horizontally across her chest, cutting out a 180 degree arc as the silhouette of an interface panel emerged. She began to type on a virtual keyboard with a insane speed rate that would make one think her fingers were going to catch on fire if she typed any faster.
You have sent a party invite to Steel.
You have sent a party invite to Sergej.
You have sent a party invite to Sylric.
Saskia snicked lightly as she noticed a pattern amongst the names.
"Ha!, isn't that amazing! All our names start with S!"
Saskia chuckled as she began to type in the party name.
"Knights of the Newbish Kingdom"
"Onward, we go, brave Knights! Who's with me?"
Saskia was elated. Never before had she been outside of the city. Her eyes glowed with a sparkle of excitement as she wondered what wonders lie beyond the outer walls.

Steel was glad that the girl seemed to start to warm up to him. She seemed a bit too alone and even somewhat sad earlier and it was nice that she was starting to cheer up. She was smiling brightly and before he knew it, their lines of sight connected as her eyes stared into his. He lightly blushed out of embarrassment as he didn’t really know how to react since he hasn’t had that much experience with the opposite gender. Ironically enough, a majority of the people he knew in this game world were female, the only other guys he knew being his own student and his fellow pupils who were taught by the same person. Anyway, he tried to hide his blush, which hopefully wasn’t that hard to do because it was very light. She then talked about her life as a pop star and how she probably wouldn’t be very well known in Japan. All the while, she had a look on her face that reflected what she thought about that life. “A light and a shadow aren’t that much different are they?” Steel said seeing a bit of himself in her current emotion. “Those that shine the brightest like you find it hard to find a friend because you’re too bright and seem unapproachable to people who would rather see you as an otherworldly figure and idolize you. Those that live in the darkest shadows like me find it hard to find friends because we’re completely ignored and are merely part of the background. It can be quite lonely being in either category.” Steel then sighed a little. “A lot of people these days think that it’s all one big popularity contest to see who has more friends. I’d rather go with the idea of having one friend I know really well rather than many ‘friends’ I barely know.” Hope decided to become more positive and told Steel that they should make the best out of it. Even to the point that this might be the vacation from life they needed. “I guess I sort of agree. We might as well have some fun while we’re here.” Steel said as Hope stood up suddenly stood up with a cheer, throwing her hands in the air. She then gave Steel a thumbs up along with a wink and a smile. She’s just cheerful now isn’t she? Steel thought to himself with a smile. After confirmation from everyone that they would be partying together, Hope sent them all a party request which Steel immediately accepted. Hope then pointed out that all of their names started with an S. “So they are.” Steel noted as the party name was created. The Knights of the Newbish Kingdom. That’s quite a strange name and I’m not a beginner. Steel thought to himself before Hope began talking about going out into the fields, her voice filled with excitement. “I’m with you but I think I should take the lead.” Steel said as he pulled out a map from his inventory. “I know the area well and I have a map. I also know some good areas for people to start out to get used to the combat system.” Words: 536 SaskiaSergejSylricOOC: We might want to close this or something when we reach a certain amount of people or with what we have currently because I don't want this thread to flood in with players. Sergej pulled his axe back away from Steel, and growled as he glared at the swashbuckler while backing a tiny bit away from him, and closer to Saskia. The large man had started to calm down from all the scolding of his axe-flailing. “Dmitriy sorry.” Placing the large axe back on his back he stretched, flexed, then slammed his right hand into his left. “Da. Dmitriy more than ready!” He laughed as he saw Saskia jumping in excitement, and had prepared to catch her mid bounce and carry her on his shoulder, when she suddenly started wiggling her fingers in the air, and a large one-dimensional box appeared in front of the massive man. This surprised Sergej, and caused him to reel backwards in surprise. “What is meaning of this!?”He swatted at the window, hitting the accept button and causing more windows to appear. This time he saw a couple names, Steel, Saskia, and Sergej.
All of our names start with S? But Dmitriy start with D! He almost blurted this out when he realized that one of the three names he had seen before, was his. Right! I named self Sergej! “We are knights? Sergej ask when?” It was then that Steel stepped up and mentioned that he should lead the way. “Yes! Sparkle lead the way, makes easier see!” Chuckling at the thought, he still seemed to refuse to call the man Steel. In his head, a man is named for a reason, and this Sparkles was wearing leather, not steel. Keeping the typical grin, Dmitriy would follow the group if they decided to head out the gates.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________
“A light and a shadow aren’t that much different are they? ”
Well, he definitely loves to talk in riddles. What similarities could light and darkness ever share? Is this one of those things that is about the concept of yin and yang?
Saskia blinked in bewilderment at the question as she found herself seeking more enlightenment from Steel. Her eyes displayed a rich sense of curiousity as she listened intently to his words, nodding her head in understanding.
It can be quite lonely being in either category.”
Saskia was taken aback by the heavy weight of the conviction in the boy's voice as he spoke with a sharp confidence about what we was talking about as he share his point of view with the group. Saskia took a few moments to ponder over his perspective before saying anything about it.
Ah, I see what he means now, clever gentleman. During my time singing, seemed like a lot of people that smiled in my face where people that wanted to get in my pockets, but I never had a problem with the fans, because I gave them all something to relate to, a shared ideal, or a mutual feeling. I was hoping to be able to reach out to people like him. The ones that believe they just seem to blend in with the furniture. You are not invisible, Mr. Steel, I never knew Steel to ever be transparent....
Saskia nodded her head and clapped her hands together before exuding a bright smile.
"Heh, you know, I never thought about it that way. You got a pretty wise brain in that melon of yours~" Saskia replied with a heartwarming smile. She enjoyed his spirit as he spoke about his perspective on things.
“A lot of people these days think that it’s all one big popularity contest to see who has more friends. I’d rather go with the idea of having one friend I know really well rather than many ‘friends’ I barely know.”
He sounds genuinely lonely, and I take it that that subtle solitude over his years in the world, he's learned a lot of thins from people from just watching, ever observing in his nature. A very vigilant person that shows a lot of attention to detail. That certainly is useful. However, sometimes, it's better to live than to watch others live... isn't it?
"Well, you've definitely been blessed with a very keen spirit of discernment. I can give you that! As far as friends go, well, we'll just have fix that now won't we. Train me well and you might just have a friend request coming your way~" Saskia beemed with a nod of her head.
“I guess I sort of agree. We might as well have some fun while we’re here.”
"Yeahhhh~ Now that's the spirit~"
Saskia rose to her feet and began to equip her shining platemail armor.
“I’m with you but I think I should take the lead.”
Saskia raised a well-mannered brow and shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't opposed to this idea as it made the most sense, and he was the highest level among them.
“I know the area well and I have a map. I also know some good areas for people to start out to get used to the combat system.”
"Alrighty, El Capitan~ Lead the way!" Saskia shouted with glee and she pointed a pretty finger towards the outer city gates.
“We are knights? Sergej ask when?” The booming voice of the russian gladiator asked.
"Since now silly goose! Now let's go and knock some heads loose~"
Saskia wagged her finger matter-of-factly as she simutaneously lightly tapped on her noggin.
“Yes! Sparkle lead the way, makes easier see!”
Saskia laughed at the Russian axemaster's comment, snickering at Steel.
"Haha! Race you to the gate! Last one there is a goblin's egg!" Saskia laughed as she raced off ahead towards the city gates.
Saskia chuckle as she skipped along the mossy cobblestone, her short silhouette bouncing gleefully along the street. She smiled back at her friends as she began to get lost deep in thought.
I know you're out there somewhere sister, I hope you are forging friendships of your own out there. I hope you find a crowd as funny as these clowns. Lord only knows that we need people like them to keep us uplifted. I wonder how far you've gotten in this world. Maybe you're still a newb like me and the russian guy...or maybe...maybe you're soaring like the eagles and have already hit double digits....either way, Lacey, I hope to see you soon, my dear sweet sister...
