LAELIA
Character Info
NAME: Laelia Meridia Plumetale
GENDER: Female
AGE: 20
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
FACE-CLAIM: edna, TALES OF ZESTIRIA
PLAYED BY: Murasaki
RACE: Half-Alv
FACTION: Person of the Land
DISTRICT: Yellow
Appearance With the physical appearance of a Yellow District resident, the attire styled like a Yellow District resident, and the gait fitting of a Yellow District resident... Laelia is in fact a Yellow District resident. Go figure. Given that detail though, she is not above using her costumes and portraying herself as someone from the other Districts particularly if it will help business. Laelia stands at 5'2 and weighs 105 pounds, putting her on the lean and petite side. Her hair color is that of an golden blonde color and her eyes are an aquamarine blue. Her skin is rather fair and she is more prone to heat exhaustion through prolonged periods standing under the sun. She appears with a rather precocious expression as she goes about her everyday life. Her eyes, seldom fully open, give an appearance as though she is constantly tired. On the rare occasion that this image is broken, such as through one of her theatrical moments, she switches to a fully expressive mood to the surprise of many. Her typical clothing style is usually that of her own handmade designs, varying in appearance but usually coming off as formal wear. Given her efficient demeanor, she has a fairly rapid gait with a tendency to weave her way through crowds as necessary. | Personality Laelia's personality tends to be hidden behind a number of masks selected based on the situation. With an eye for business, she figured early on that a distinctive personality would have been helpful toward attracting work. When deemed that she needs to set up some kind of first impression to any particular individual, she can act like a chameleon and change her behavior accordingly to please others. Through a lot of experimentation, she figured that people were most receptive of slightly airheaded personalities, highly upbeat personalities, and oddly enough, her own stoic personality. Therefore, given how difficult it usually gets to assume multiple personae, it is usually too much trouble to use any outward personality other than her own. She occasionally sprinkles in some other traits in order to make herself stand out from the pool of introverted characters on this RP forum. In accordance with these behaviors, it's no doubt that she is highly logical and efficient, preferring the quickest solution without having to sacrifice quality. Sometimes this trait spills over into her interactions with other people. If she deems that anyone is trouble, it is very hard for her to willingly decide to interact with them... unless the price is right. |

Biography
A young Laelia was officially born within the Yellow District under parents who were both prominent performers who had made their debut in none other than the Saffron Studio. It was from them that the young girl had developed acting skills from an early age, but it wasn't the acting that had particularly interested her. After all, growing up around such a stimulating atmosphere such as the Yellow District had made her feel as though acting was the accustomed thing to do. After all, it worked for her parents and they were still performing in assorted big-name shows to this very day.
No, she found herself captivated not by the art of entertainment itself, but one of its sister categories - fashion. Since a child, she had always adored some of the clothing that her parents would sometimes wear. Through their money and connections, they would occasionally give her some of the leftover costumes from their productions. With a creative heart in tow, she had found it rather simple to take apart these costumes and form her own.
It was now roughly a decade since those early days and Laelia found herself the owner of a small studio workshop where she would be able to perform her own tailoring. Her tailoring ability had improved over time to the point where a number of well-known individuals within the Yellow District would sometimes come to request some commissions. Given her ambition, she strived to one day be able to expand her craft throughout the entire city.
Inventory
Shroudwood Bow: Lv15 bow. A bow formed from flexible wood and taut string through decent quality carpentry. It was crafted not primarily as a weapon, but as a distinctive prop used in performances in the Saffron Studio. This doesn't mean that it can't serve as a potent tool in the hands of an experienced archer, however.
Wooden Arrows: Basic wooden arrows. Not really strong, but cheap and can be easily mass produced.
Seraphim Parasol: Lv15 runed metal weapon. An umbrella with its frame forged from enchanted metal that gently shines blue under dim light. It has a rather sharp tip and thus makes a better piercing weapon rather than if it is swung. It was crafted as a prop used in performances in the Saffron Studio. Due to its nature as a magical weapon, it glows in the presence of a high concentration of atmospheric mana.
Pebble of Philosophy: Lv10 item. A glowing stone containing hundreds of years of captured emotion and anima. A relic of the past, its power has only been recently awakened and it will show you the way toward more challenges yet to come in the future. Possession of this item enables an Adventurer or Person of the Land to engage in Celestial Arms side-quests. Every time you complete a Celestial Arms chapter for the first time, you may update this item in your profile by increasing its item level by 5. Every time you repeat a Celestial Arms chapter from the very start, you may update this item in your profile by increasing its item level by 4. Every time you finish assisting another player with a Celestial Arms instance, you may update this item in your profile by increasing its item level by 2. This item cannot be traded and its maximum possible level is 100.
Basic Tailor Needle - A tailor's Basic Upgrade Tool that allows for more precise needlework. If you use a Basic Upgrade Tool during a craft for a Level 1-20 item, you receive a 50% Gold discount in Material Fees during that craft. The Basic Upgrade Tool is not used up as a result of this discount.
Celestial Cloak - Lv10 cloth armor. It resembles a cloak woven with the night sky over the Unfounded Kingdom. The cloak itself reaches down to the knees. It actually consists of two parts, an outer cloak and an inner cloak. This allows vanity clothing to be worn in between the two layers while still allowing a wide area of defense. Its design allows for good mobility for on-the-go mages. Reforge: +2.5% move speed
Mantle of the Mirage Witch: Lv20 vanity clothing. A short cloak that can be unraveled to appear like a mantle that covers up the upper body and tapers at the waist. Its lining underneath is made from blue cloth, while the exterior is a dark indigo color. A stylized symbol of an umbrella is stitched into the inner lining as a callsign of its crafter.
The Wanderer's Minuet: Lv31 cloth armor. A costume that is characterized by its distinctive theme for a mobile combat mage. It consists of a sleeveless violet robe with a hood and yellow highlights. A thin piece of leather is attached to the chest, allowing for a small amount of protection without limiting mobility. The robe itself ends in the form of triangular strips at the lower thigh, where it then integrates itself with a high-cut skirt with indigo-colored shorts underneath. Finally, the outfit is completed by cloth armlets and a number of ribbons that can either be attached to the outfit itself or directly tied to the wearer. On the inner lining of the robe is a stylized symbol of a parasol to denote its crafter.
EQUIPMENT
Left Arm Blueplume Cello: Lv15 musical instrument. A large string instrument that appears rather unwieldy to carry around, which is why it is typically stored inside of its own carrying case. It is made from white marblewood, a lightweight material that conducts vibrations well to allow for clear and decent-quality sounds. The engraving on the cello resembles carved feathers painted blue. | Armor Sunlight Orchid: Lv15 cloth armor. A sun dress with cute highlights and accents. Laelia's signature costume, crafted from the concept of a magical girl from a popular Lune children's play. It is topped with a number of ribbons, making it appear more as aesthetic wear rather than anything practical or protective. | Right Arm N/A |
Accessory #1 Emblem of Creation: Lv30 accessory. A crest of the Lune Seaport, given out to crafters looking to build up their reputation in a competitive market. When equipped, it reduces the Material Fee of crafted items equal to your Crafting Level in Gold. For crafts with Material Fee, the minimum Material Fee a craft can be reduced to is 5 Gold. Only one Emblem of Creation may be equipped by a character at a time. | Accessory #2 Vanya Gloves of Weaving: Lv30 accessory. Fingerless gloves that are secured by a tighter fit toward the wrist and palm, allowing for minimal loss in dexterity. It comes with a leather strap built in along the wrist with slots that can be used to carry tailor needles and pouches to hold small amounts of cloth or thread. Reforged for Tailor Production Quality increase; an item crafted by Tailoring with this accessory receives +3 in its item level as a bonus. | Accessory #3 Needlewielder Stockings: Lv30 accessory. Designed after gear that an Assassin would approve of, these stockings are equipped with leather strips that can conceal and carry needles. Reforged for Tailor Production Quality increase; an item crafted by Tailoring with this accessory receives +3 in its item level as a bonus. |
Accessory #4 Boltwielder Sash: Lv20 accessory. A white sash worn upon the waist. It comes with a good deal of pockets in order to carry a number of things crafting related. Reforged for Tailor Production Quality increase; an item crafted by Tailoring with this accessory receives +2 in its item level as a bonus. | ||

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Bard
Scarlet Symphony: Tier I Skill
Allegro skill. The Bard plays a song as a menacing red mist starts to form around them. Then, after two seconds, the Bard's mana mixes with the aura to create blood-red blades that swirl around the Bard in a small circle of a meter in radius. Opponents struck by the skill suffer a bleeding damage over time debuff. This skill has a minimum casting time of 2 seconds. The cooldown of this skill is 5 seconds, and it applies as soon as the Bard stops playing their instrument.
Battle Tempo effect: While in Presto, the range of Scarlet Symphony doubles.

Sonic Cutter: Tier I Skill
Allegro skill. The Bard amplifies sound waves to deliver a concentrated burst of destructive interference at a target. A cutting-wave projectile is shot forward, reaching up to 10 meters before dissipating. This skill is considered a wind-type attack and deals greater damage when used in close range. Additionally, if Resonance Beat was used immediately prior to this skill, its range increases by an additional 5 meters. Due to its low cooldown and moderate DPS capacity, it is a popular skill used by the rare solo Bard. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and triggers a global cooldown during its casting, where no other skills can be used.
Battle Tempo effect: If Sonic Cutter is used to enter Presto, the next Sonic Hammer skill has an instant cast time.

Meditation Nocturne: Tier I Skill
Untempoed Sustained Song skill. Cancels the effect of any other Sustained Song skills used by the Bard. A relaxing melody that gradually regenerates MP for all nearby party members (except the Bard) as it is maintained. This restoration is moreso apparent outside of battle, but it might come of practical use in the middle of a grueling raid. When in effect, the surface of a targeted character's skin appears to glow with a light blue tint. This skill has a startup casting time of 2 seconds and an indefinite duration so long as the Bard's MP is maintained. While active, this skill reduces the user's DPS by 10% and drains their MP gradually as it is active. This skill has a cooldown time of 2 seconds after it is canceled at any time.
Battle Tempo's effects are suspended while this skill is active.

Lullaby of the Mermaid in the Moonlight: Tier I Skill
Andante skill. A support song that has a mild area of effect range. One key concept to remember is that depending on the difference between the Bard and the enemy's level, it will take some time before the target succumbs to the skill. When used, an aqua-blue ripple effect will occur and an image of a singing mermaid will appear over the head of the caster. Popular uses for this skill involve a sleep lock, a sequence in which the target is put to sleep, followed by the Bard's party members aiming their attacks all at the same time, which is then followed by a recasting of other sleep skills to initiate a relapse. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a maximum duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 30 seconds.
Battle Tempo effect: While in Andante, this skill has a cooldown of 20 seconds. While in Adagio, this skill has a cooldown of 20 seconds.

Elegant Act: Tier I Skill
Untempoed skill. A weapon skill that utilizes the harmonics to shroud the Bard, granting them a slight buff to their evasion abilities. The specific animation for this skill depends upon the type of weapon that is currently being wielded, but otherwise many would agree that the intricate motions of this attack resemble a dance. Additionally, during the animation time of Elegant Act, the Bard may simultaneously begin casting a skill with a cast time. As a result of this combination, the Bard minimizes their potential vulnerability when otherwise casting their song magic. The animation time of this skill is 3 seconds and its cooldown is 15 seconds.
Battle Tempo effect: While in Andante/Adagio and an Allegro skill is used during Elegant Act's effect, the current Battle Tempo is not changed. While in Allegro/Presto and an Andante skill is used during Elegant Act's effect, the current Battle Tempo is not changed.

Splitting Fang: Tier I Adventurer Skill
A ranged attack performed with any weapon that can be swung. It is activated by swinging the weapon from a raised position over the head downward about 120 degrees. The swing causes a thin white projectile to be generated to quickly slide across the ground and move forward a maximum of 10 meters. The projectile's height is roughly a meter high. As soon as the projectile touches any physical object or non-ally character, it dissipates and deals physical damage to them. This skill can go through allies without damaging them, allowing for a good turtling strategy for teams with strong defensive formations. This skill has an animation time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 6 seconds.

Feedback Resonance: Tier I Skill
Untempoed skill. The Bard plays their instrument and causes a high-pitched feedback noise to resonate around the surrounding area. All opponents within three meters of the Bard are stunned for one second. This skill generates a moderate amount of aggro, but due to its nature, it might attract nearby hostile monsters. Be careful when using it in a high population area. This skill's debuff is classified as a Slow effect. This skill has an instant casting time and a cooldown time of 20 seconds. Any opponents affected by this skill's stunning effect cannot be stunned again by the same skill for 30 seconds.

Maestro Echo: Tier I Bard Skill
Allegro skill. A skill that targets a single ally and attenuates the flow of mana generating from their body. For 30 seconds, every time the ally performs an offensive magic skill, the Bard will generate a magical sphere that resembles a bubble with a musical note inside it. Echo Spheres can be sent toward a target to explode and deal nonelemental damage. Each time this skill is activated, there is a guitar-like SE and a shining effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 50 seconds.

Speed Sword Etude: Tier I Bard Skill
Untempoed skill. A lively song that makes one want to rush into battle, causing the surface of the skin to lightly sparkle during its duration. This tune causes all nearby party members' attack speeds to rise. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds, a duration of 60 seconds and a cooldown time of 30 seconds. If it is used on a target that is currently affected by this buff, its duration resets to the full 60 second duration.

Heal: Tier I Adventurer Skill
The most fundamental HP recovery magic of the healer classes and the root of all restorative skills. Although it grants HP restoration, it is known for its poor mana efficiency compared to other healing skills, barrier skills and reactive activation skills, thus putting this on low priority amongst healing skills. Beginners often look at healers based on how much HP this skill heals, causing some to be called second-rate or third-rate healers. That said, truly useless healers are out of the question, since most are at least competent in using restorative magic. When this skill is used, the caster is surrounded by a hazy warm light, and the chosen target is showered down with particles of light. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and no cooldown. If used by a non-healer class, the cooldown is 5 seconds.

Roleplay Class: Housekeeper
Busybody: The housekeeper can produce Level 1-5 items as though they were a Chef, Tailor, or Woodcrafter. If the housekeeper's crafting subclass is one of these classes, then they are able to craft items 5 levels higher than their crafting class's level.
Feng Shui: The Housekeeper's talent to organize a room for maximum space efficiency yet with an aesthetically pleasing appearance is unparalleled. Increase the number of Furniture you can place in a Guild or Personal Housing by 3. This skill effect may stack.
Crafting Class: Tailor
Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly.
Emergency Suture: An experienced tailor will be able to make quick mending to clothes in the fraction of the time, although the material will definitely require a proper repair later on. Still, this skill is especially important when you need to fix up your gear during a battle or when you have an extremely vital fashion malfunction. Additionally, this skill allows a tailor to mend wounds and stop damage over time bleeding effects from skills such as Swashbuckler's Viper Raise. No damage is recovered, however.
Runway Model: The Tailor's fashion sense allows them to make clothing that complements a character's gear, making it seem stronger and more impressive. When the Tailor is participating in a thread and a character is wearing Vanity Clothing crafted by the Tailor, this skill may be used to buff an item for 1 hour. The buff may target themselves. The buff causes the item level of any cloth or leather armor worn by the target to increase by an amount equal to the Vanity Clothing's level / 10. Armor affected by this skill cannot have its item level raised past Level 90 by this effect. This skill has an animation time of 5 seconds and a cooldown of 1 minute.
Straw to Gold: Level 31 Tailor Skill
Particularly experienced crafters acquire the ability to customize a clothing's appearance more effectively, making the clothing look a bit more impressive than it normally is. When the Tailor performs a craft in any craft thread (cannot be a speed craft), the Artisan may apply this skill as a bonus to increase the level of the item by 3. This skill may boost an item's level past their own crafting level. No item can be boosted past Level 90 by this effect. Additionally, when the Tailor is participating in a thread and a character is wearing cloth armor/leather armor/accessories crafted by the Tailor, this skill may be used to buff an item for 1 hour. The buff may target themselves. The buff causes the apparent level of those items to be increased by an amount equal to the Tailor's crafting level / 10 when determining the effects of reforges or enchants. The items' levels do not change in terms of defensive ability, so damage calculations are not affected. This skill has an animation time of 5 seconds and a cooldown of 1 minute.
