[attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Laelia stands at 5'2 and weighs 105 pounds, putting her on the lean and petite side. Her hair color is that of an golden blonde color and her eyes are an aquamarine blue. Her skin is rather fair and she is more prone to heat exhaustion through prolonged periods standing under the sun. Due to her slightly short hairstyle, it isn't particularly hard to upkeep. After washing her hair, she does have a tendency to heavily brush the back of her hairstyle in comparison to the side, leading to her hair to form an outward expanding style that ends up settling in downward spikes when it dries. This is especially more pronounced on windy days, where static electricity easily builds up and causes her hair to clump together. She appears with a rather precocious expression as she goes about her everyday life. Her facial expression usually varies between a half-open gaze in the day and an alert wide-eyed expression at night. This is made all the more apparent when she isn't wearing colored contacts to brighten up her normally eyes. Her eyes, seldom fully open, give an appearance as though she is constantly tired. On the rare occasion that this image is broken, such as through one of her theatrical moments, she switches to a fully expressive mood to the surprise of many. If angered or irritated, she smirks with an increasingly pronounced expression while she commonly closes her eyes and feints calmness. Her typical clothing style is usually that of her own handmade designs, varying in appearance but usually coming off as formal wear. She keeps up a somewhat formal walking stance while around company, although this is merely a front. If she is by herself or around people she wouldn't need to keep up a formal reputation with, she would immediately drop this trait and promptly run to wherever she needed to go. This aspect is particularly noticeable if one were to observe her alone at home, as she would often sprint down the halls and spring over furniture in the process. In any case, her walking speed is naturally faster than average and she will not hesitate to cut through large crowds of pedestrians (albeit as elegantly as possible) in order to save time. Being somewhat of an expert bookworm, she does possess the ability to dodge people even with a book in her face using only peripheral vision. In real life, she possesses similar characteristics except that her hair is black and eyes are dark brown. | [attr="class","tempo"] [attr="class","appbox1"] Laelia's personality tends to be hidden behind a number of masks selected based on the situation. As evidenced by the multiple types of identities she employs, she is a slightly secretive person with a rather insecure personality in person. With an eye for business, she figured early on that a distinctive personality would have been helpful toward attracting work. When deemed that she needs to set up some kind of first impression to any particular individual, she can act like a chameleon and change her behavior accordingly to please others. When discouraged or unmotivated, she is somewhat lethargic and doesn't exhibit much presence. She usually takes this time to quietly observe peoples' actions. When faced with a stranger, this doesn't change much either as she would simply stare down the person until they either left, looked away, started a conversation, or accept her expression as a universal challenge in a Pokemon battle. It is such that she can only really get comfortable around people she's known for a while. Even so, it really depends on the type of person. She likes to believe that her sense of getting to know good-minded people is fairly accurate. Through a lot of experimentation, she figured that people were most receptive of slightly airheaded personalities, highly upbeat personalities, and oddly enough, her own stoic personality. Therefore, given how difficult it usually gets to assume multiple personae, it is usually too much trouble to use any outward personality other than her own. She occasionally sprinkles in some other traits in order to make herself stand out from the pool of introverted characters on this RP forum. In accordance with these behaviors, it's no doubt that she is highly logical and efficient, preferring the quickest solution without having to sacrifice quality. Sometimes this trait spills over into her interactions with other people. When given time to think and analyze, her way of thinking is fairly logic-based. She often comes up with multiple possible plans when presented with a situation. Whether or not these plans follow through depend entirely on the ratio of effort compared to reward, though. While she is patient enough for a prolonged and planned idea, she is actually fairly impatient when it comes to anything beyond her control. As such, people with haphazard or truant tendencies tend to get more on her bad side. Challenging her to any sort of game and her demeanor will shift instantly to "Sure-Win Mode," as she confidently plans a winning strategy with a calm expression. If she deems that anyone is trouble, it is very hard for her to willingly decide to interact with them... unless the price is right. Her weakness is candy. If you want to try to drop her guard, offer her the right type of candy. |

A half-Japanese and half-Chinese girl who took Korean and Vietnamese as foreign languages. Too Asian for you? Let's say she also lived in Southern California.
But seriously, having the ability to read and write five languages including English (albeit one of those languages was only conversational) was great for a resume after she graduated from university. Combining this with a degree in Computer Programming gave her one of the best opportunities to apply to a number of different gaming companies. She had submitted applications to Ataruva Inc, Protest, Snowstorm Entertainment, and Circular Onix and was fortunate enough to get a first interview and acceptance by the lattermost of the list. The company which produced the First Fiction game series was fairly well-known and she would definitely have a lot of work ahead of her due to choosing the Localization department for their MMO division.
As is not too uncommon in industry, work would have her occasionally try out some of their competitors' games to jot down notes of what worked and didn't work. The latest expansion of Ataruva's Elder Tale game was supposed to be rather well hyped, particularly its Scandanavian version which was supposedly coming out with revolutionary content designs. Overall, it was an MMO with a long history that she had never played before, or so she remembered. There was just some sort of deja vu that made her want to choose Elder Tale for some reason. Nevertheless, the girl was interested in being able to immerse herself in a whole new world.
She got more than she bargained for.

Main Class: Druid
[attr="class","skillbox1"]
Nature's Blessing - <Beginner Skill>
A buff type spell which will increase the party's natural healing ability. The effect is not enough to effect combat as a heal spell would, but it is always active and will accelerate resting periods.
"This skill description is so vague. I'd like to have a word with whoever designed these skills."
Cure Bloom - <Tier I>
A low-base burst healing ability that releases a thin pink mist with the fragrance of flowers. While it is a little weaker than the Heal spell, its quick casting speed and low cooldown makes it a very utility skill for keeping up dedicated healing on a party member. If the target is currently affected by a healing over time spell, this skill heals twice as much HP. Additionally, if the target is affected by any type of poison effect when this spell was cast, the poison's duration is reduced by 5 seconds. The aesthetic effect of this skill also makes it a nice ability to have when cleaning a room, too! This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and no cooldown time.
"What kind of healer wouldn't take a healing skill, I figure."
Familiar: Grey Wolf - <Tier I>
A summoning ability usable by the Druid class, which brings forth a Grey Wolf pup to fight beside them. The wolf excels in physical offense and speed, making it an excellent companion for those wanting to improve their DPS. However, it is a little more fragile than other beginner familiars such as the Alraune, so caution should be exercised when dealing with tough monsters. The wolf's signature ability is a high-speed pounce that can bounce over to strike nearby foes within a second, although this skill does come with a cooldown of 20 seconds. The wolf's abilities and appearance becomes more impressive as the skill ranks up, increasing the familiar's size. When a Familiar summoning skill is used, any Familiars currently active are canceled.
"You'd think a healer class wouldn't have offensive summons but apparently it's balanced in this game."
Tongue of Nature - <Tier I>
It's often said that certain people seem to have an affinity toward interacting with nature and communicating with animals. With this skill, the Adventurer's natural affinity is idealized into a tangible form. While this toggle skill is active, the character will be able to communicate with animals and monsters. Incoming speech by monsters will also appear as subtitles at the bottom of the user's vision. There is a huge variance between being able to notice this effect and actually using it effectively, however. "Nice to meet you" is not the same thing as "Look, fresh meat", for example. At lower levels, the user of this skill will very often mishear monsters' speech and mispronounce their own words, mistakes that might cause hostility if used incorrectly. However, as the user gradually gains experience, they will be able to negotiate with monsters more easily. The Animal Trainer, Fisherman, Druid classes are more aligned with the power of nature and thus higher success rates are gained if the user is one or more of these classes. Monsters at a lower level compared to the user's highest class level also are easier to communicate with.
"It sounds fun. As a member of a Localization team, I'd like to see how this company does it."

Busybody - Level 1
The housekeeper can produce Level 1-10 items as though they were a Chef, Tailor, or Woodcrafter. If the housekeeper's crafting subclass is one of these classes, then they are able to craft items 5 levels higher than their crafting class's level.
"It's more of a crafter-focused skill than my actual crafter's skill."
