Appearance Charity's character is quite similar to her own real-life appearance. She's a white English girl who is quite short, standing at exactly 5ft tall, with a quite round and chubby build. Like most other members of the Race of Ritual, she has several mysterious runes tattooed onto her body; one on the center of her chest, one on her left shoulder, one on her right cheek, and several smaller ones on various other parts of her body. Each is a faded blue colour. Her hair is usually uncared for and generally quite messy, but unlike her real hair (which is long and blonde) her character has short and turquoise hair. Her eyes are large, round, and the same colour as her hair (chosen for being "moe" and cute), and usually easily betray her emotions (unlike in real life, she does not wear glasses). She prefers to dress quite modestly and with simple clothing made not to stand out or draw unnecessary attention, although in-game she is willing to express herself a bit more due to the nature of the game and it's world. Any onlooker can immediately tell that she is obviously very shy, with a closed posture and a usually downwards facing gaze, and her entry into a new and strange world has not helped matters. | Personality Charity is naturally a very shy and nervous individual. She does not have a very active social life or a large circle of friends, so was easily swayed by one of her few friends into playing a strange MMO. Being in the new world has only worsened her nervousness and shyness, to the degree where she has hardly spoken to anyone since being trapped in the game (the lack of contact from her missing friend not helping). She is, however, very trusting of the people who help her and make friends with her, for better or for worse. This has lead to her being manipulated in the past and contributed to her general unease around new people, but once she gets to know and trust someone she is very warm and caring. She is always willing to be a shoulder to cry on for any worried or stressed friends, being known among her friend group as one of the best people to talk to when upset. However she has great difficulty talking about her own emotions and feelings and is far more likely to bottle it up and explode later than seek help when she needs it. When it comes to making decisions she is rather impulsive, as thinking things through tends to lead to her overthinking and worrying. She also can have trouble focusing on tasks that are difficult or "boring", but will focus almost exclusively on hobbies or activities that greatly interest her (such as tailoring, a hobby she wanted to get into in the real world but never found time to). Although she dreams of being great and well known she simply lacks the focus and energy to do it, but would love to create new things and meet new people. Currently she wants nothing more than to escape this hell she has been trapped in, but after spending the last year wallowing in misery and depression she has decided to make an attempt to strike out and live in this world for as long as she needs to. |

Biography
Charity was always the quietest kid in class, and one of the least popular. She tried to be friendly and nice, but just could not form connections with the other children. The boys found her weird, the girls found her strange, and everyone agreed that she was just plain odd. The few friends she had were either bullies abusing her for fun or similar social misfits. As soon as she could (about 12 years old), she secluded herself with anime and other TV shows, interacting with people almost exclusively online. Her small group of online friends became her only source of interaction and venting, as she remained the oddest and quietest girl in her class. This continued throughout her school career, earning her even fewer friends than she had before and losing some of the ones she had. Her academic prowess was similarly poor, as she started developing an inability to focus on schoolwork and subjects that did not keep her attention. By 15, she was near-failing almost every subject other than Art and Drama. She barely managed to pass her GCSEs and A-Levels, just managing to get accepted onto a simple Fine Art course in London. There she made a few new friends of various ages and interests, and one in particular got her into video games.
Although she had barely touched a controller in her life and hadn't used a keyboard for anything other than typing, they convinced her to try their favourite MMO as it's new expansion came out and new, local servers were implemented. With very few real friends to begin with and not willing to lose the ones she had she was willing to do anything for the friends she was making, even if she didn't understand what "DPS", "Tank", "Raid", or "Dungeon" meant in game terms. Conscripted into a preplanned raid group as the group healer, she signed up for Elder Tale and logged in on December 11th to find herself trapped within the game world. Her friend, who had not told her the details of their name or appearance in-game, was nowhere to be found. Charity was completely and utterly alone. For a year she stayed hidden within the walls of Londinium, refusing to leave and go outside to train or level and living in fear of what might happen to her and scared she may never return home. Only recently has she built the resolve to nervously leave her home and venture out beyond the city walls, potentially growing and meeting new people. She may be trapped in this world, and she may be more terrified than she has ever been, but she will do her best to live for as long as she needs to in this fresh hell.

CLASS SKILLS
Main Class: Shaman
Damage Interception: A barrier skill known as the signature move of the Shaman. Forms either a stationary barrier or a barrier around a target that continues to exist until the "energy" of the barrier expires. Energy will decrease slowly over time and decrease from damage taken. This skill has a casting time of 1.5 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds.
Divine Subjugation: The Shaman's body is infused with the blessings of the spirits, increasing the damage of the user's physical attacks for the next 8 seconds. The Shaman's body glows a bright yellow at this time and all their attacks also contribute to an increased amount of aggro. It is oriented towards Battle Shaman builds that use swords or bows as primary weapons. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds.
Exorcism of a Cursed Lotus: A self-cast barrier that boosts the caster’s attack speed against a specific target without boosting movement speed. Upon taking any damage, the barrier shatters and the caster lose all benefits. Since this leaves the caster vulnerable to attack it is often better to combine this with attacks from other party members or with another barrier level underneath so as to keep the target preoccupied. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, a maximum duration of 10 seconds, and a cooldown of 15 seconds.
Spellwalk: A toggle skill that allows a character to cast a spell without forcing them to remain immobile during the spell's casting duration. It is an excellent skill to take for those who prefer an on-the-go strategy or at least a less vulnerable position. When the character moves while casting a spell, their movement speed is halved. This speed penalty decreases to 40% at Level 30, 25% at Level 60, and 10% at Level 90.
Demon's Eye: This skill when activated will slightly increases accuracy rate of the user's weapons. It also causes the weapon to be immune to hit spirit-type mobs whom normally nullify incoming physical damage. Of course, a successful hit requires an active attack towards a desired foe regardless. There was one time when the developers received e-mails saying that "I've used the Demon's Eye and I still keep on missing on ghost mobs!" among others. For this reason, several balance changes were implemented. When used, this skill adds a blue radiance on one's eyes, a rather scary sight post-Catastrophe. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 60 seconds, and a cooldown of 70 seconds.
Hybrid Barrier: A Barrier skill that allows for the caster to combine two barrier styles together for a hybrid effect. This allows for a Shaman to stack more barriers onto a single target in a shorter timespan. When this skill is used, two other Barrier skills can be cast at the same time onto a single target. The duration of the two barriers become the average of their maximum durations. This skill has a casting time of 2.5 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds.
Roleplay Class: Sigilmaker
Seal of Aquarius: The Sigilmaker is able to create emblems which passively raises a target's stats for a short duration. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds and a cooldown time of 10 seconds. When using this skill, the Sigilmaker must declare one of the following stats: Strength, Dexterity, Agility, Intelligence, Wisdom. The target will receive an Aquarius Sigil buff and the stat selected will be increased by 5% for the duration of the target's next post. Only one Aquarius Sigil can affect a single target at a time. For every 10 levels the Sigilmaker achieves, the duration of an Aquarius Sigil increases by 1 post.
Crafting Class: Tailor
Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly.
Emergency Suture: An experienced tailor will be able to make quick mending to clothes in the fraction of the time, although the material will definitely require a proper repair later on. Still, this skill is especially important when you need to fix up your gear during a battle or when you have an extremely vital fashion malfunction. Additionally, this skill allows a tailor to mend wounds and stop damage over time bleeding effects from skills such as Swashbuckler's Viper Raise. No damage is recovered, however.
