love the life you live live the life you love It was confusing at first, but Spectre realized what had happened. He was inside a game! Did this scare him? Absolutely not. It was like Christmas to him. He was grinning widely and couldn’t control his excitement. So many questions flooded his brain. The first was obviously if he was dreaming. The rest were under the assumption and hope that this was not a dream and along the lines of whether whatever caused this is magic or technology. It didn’t take him long to realize he couldn’t log out. To him, this was not panic inducing at all. He simply saw this as a minor flaw because he knew not everyone would want to spend their life inside a game if they had a choice. He is crazy different, of course. All his life, he had wanted to do nothing but play games, and if he is going to live in an imaginary world—especially that of Elder Tales—where he gets to play all the time, then he has absolutely no qualms at all.
Spectre enjoyed surprising his enemies and overwhelming them with barrages. And therefore, like in every other RPG he played, he chose to be a stealthy dual-wielding DPS in this one too. Accessing the starter pack through his menu, he equipped his leather armour and the two long swords. The leather armour was rather manageable but he didn’t feel too comfortable with the long swords. With a frown, he quietly made a mental note to change these shitty weapons as soon as possible.
The frown on his face vanished rather quickly as he walked into the city and marvelled at the plant-infested London. It was a mixed feeling. While he admired the intrinsic detail with which the world was built, he couldn’t help but feel sad about London looking this ruined. He quickly snapped out of the sadness, telling himself that this was not reality and is just a game.
After a few minutes of loitering in the city streets, Spectre was ready to approach fellow adventurers to socialize with. He was no fan of large groups. But at the same time, he knew this was an MMORPG and many quests and enemies can’t be defeated all by himself. So, he had to find few people to party up with once in a while to progress quickly. Furthermore, he never had a problem playing in groups of three or four before. In fact, there were times when he actually enjoyed it. It was groups with dozens of players that he couldn’t fit into, and it eventually made him averse to guilds.
Pulling up the hood of his leather armour, he began walking towards the city’s exit hoping to meet someone along the way. He reckoned anyone who is in the mood to kill something would not hang about inside the city. “This is going to be so much fun,” he muttered to himself and began his new life in this mysterious land with an excited grin. Kelly...no, it was Keyala in this world, looked down to her hands, turning them over and over, looking at them. She knew that these were her's, but for some reason, they felt different. As she stood up from her seated position in the middle of a London street, she glanced around to the confused masses of people. Her ears suddenly perked up, and she quickly touched a hand to her head. The feeling of having fox ears was clearly very new to her, and while she loved the idea of being a fox-tail, they would certainly take some getting used to. She looked back to see her fox tail idly wagging back and forth, as she gently touched it. She seemed to enjoy having a tail more than the ears. She tugged gently on the basic cloth armor, making a mental note to herself to very quickly change out of these. She was a summoner, using mainly darkness and elemental type summons, with a golem being her protector, at least, that was how she imagined the character. She had always enjoyed the idea of a summoner, one who has very powerful magic to drag creatures in from another world, and then can sit back and be lazy and watch them fight. She knew that she would eventually have to upgrade her staff as well, and maybe acquire a grimiore, but that would come as she trained her scribe skill. A strange thought crossed her mind as she began to walk around the destroyed London, she began to wonder why she wasn't worried, and why she was so quick to accept the reality in front of her. Perhaps she just knew that she couldn't waste time panicking, or perhaps she didn't have enough time to focus on that fact, and instead focused on the fact that she had so many things to do and explore. That excited her, the fact there was a whole new reality to explore, as this was no longer a game, regardless of how it looked. As she thought to herself, she managed to get herself lost in the confusing London streets, for what would be the first of many times in this reality, and one of many times in the old world. She opened up her status menu, scanning through her skills, seeing them exactly as she had planned. She marked a destination for herself towards the exit of the city, as she began walking there, ready and excited to test out her new skills, and see what this reality has to offer her Word Count: 429 Total: 429 Tags: Spectre

How many times now had he sat there, poking at the LOGOUT button repeatedly? How many times have people passed by while he seemed oblivious to what had happened to this world? It was... Obviously, a heavy case of denial. This wasn't reality, this could not be and he absolutely refused to accept that. Not too long ago he was perched in his room, playing the game he had just finished preparing to enjoy a lovely adventure with his sister... And now!? What... Was he? A frightfully tall Fox Tail... How do you even move the tail!? He didn't feel comfortable, not at all. This was NOT his body, and he outright refused to accept it. After arguably the hundredth attempt at getting the LOGOUT function to work, he reeled back against the earth and cupped his face with a loud groan.
"No no no no nooooo... Please don't tell me I'm stuck in this game. Please tell me this is a horrible prank." Almost sobbing for a few, as in the new position he began to rapidly poke at the LOGOUT button once more. Being by the exit to the town was arguably not the best position for his grief-fest, as players who did dare to leave the town got to see the Red-haired Fox-tail having a breakdown, most of whom merely passed on by without concern.
Saeyd... That would be what he would be known by now, William being the human body left behind in the real world, and now he was this... Thing. Granted, he made this thing and seemed to enjoy its appearance when viewing it from third-person but looking like the character itself? Ugh... He took a few moments to stare at what he was, his hands, the long red hair, the weird tail that felt awkward as crap at times. He was thankful he hadn't made himself one of the other races now, one could only imagine his suffering if he was a cat or a dwarf... Thankfully no one could read his mind or a deal of the playerbase may actually kick his rear end for that. Oh, and the armor he was stuck in! For being a man who spent his life in an apartment, suddenly being encased in leather was... It wasn't heavy, but it was uncomfortable. Adjustments would have to be made obviously, but in due time.
Wil-.. SAEYD, stood from his grovelling position on the ground. It was time to at least attempt to do more than just prod at a broken game function for hours on end... At Least one would think, before he would soon realize just how hard it was to adjust to a body not your own, soon after trying to progress through the exit and instead finding himself facedown in the earth. love the life you live live the life you love The size of London became more apparent as he walked towards the city’s outskirts. In reality, he would take the public transport or drive down in his car. But now, he had no such conveniences; not yet, at least. However, thankfully, the walk was not boring. He met a few people of the land with interesting personalities. Although his conversations with them were short, he had a fun time and bookmarked the locations in his map so that he could come back later for more.
The closer he got to the city’s exit, the more adventurers he spotted. He noticed that most have come to terms with the shock and have resorted to either screaming or whining. A few were calm and dealing with it better than others. Among them all, two particular adventurers caught Spectre’s attention. Both were red-haired fox tails. One was still jabbing at his logout button incessantly, completely oblivious to his surroundings. Another was walking down the road with a newfound vigour; she not only seemed to have accepted the situation, but also looked like she was ready to start a life here. Finding such contrasting characters amused the dark haired Swashbuckler.
Spectre decided to approach Keyala first. He figured he had a better chance of convincing her than Saeyd. Waving, he approached the short girl with a warm smile. “Hi! I’m Spectre. I thought I’ll come ask you if you wanna join me in exploring the surrounding regions. Among everyone here, you looked the most composed. Surprising for someone your size,” he would blurt without thinking. Obviously, he meant that as a compliment, but the way he put it, the purpose was defeated. If Keyala did decide to punch him for his comment on her height, she would succeed because he absolutely will not be expecting that.
Amidst the conversation, Spectre heard a thud and quickly turned to see what it was. He saw Saeyd lying face down on the ground. Realizing this was the same fox tail he noticed earlier, he let out a soft chuckle. Feeling guilty about his insensitive reaction, he turned to Keyala and asked excuse before swiftly walking towards Saeyd. “Hey… Are you okay?” he would inquire in a concerned tone before extending his hand to help the fox tail get up. Keyala would continue to gaze around the city in amazement. It all seemed so real, perhaps because it was at this point. The London that she had found herself lost in so many times was now a crumbling ruin of a city, and she intended to finally learn her way around. She would look Spectre up and down as he approached her as she reached the edge of the city. The moment he utters the comment about her height, she connects her fist with his stomach, looking up at him with a small snarl "And you're surprisingly stupid for someone with glasses, I'm Keyala" the red headed fox-tail girl turns away from the dark haired swashbuckler indignantly, crossing her arms "Exploring sounds fun, I'm in." she replies, not really giving him any option to rescind his offer. As Spectre turns to help the male fox-tail who has found himself on the ground, Keyala does not even respond, shifting her head slightly back in order to view him helping her, just silently watching from her current vantage point. Her fox ears give a curious twitch, to which she responds by curiously petting them, now distracted from the scene behind her. Word Count: 200 Total Word Count: 629 Tags: Spectre, Saeyd

He took a few minutes to regenerate his pride.... No no... Just aching in the whole pride region as a whole. Unfortunately his pride wouldn't restore itself gradually like his health and mana, therefor he was just going to remain rather distraught. People were talking to him and asking if he was alright, but all that was going on in his head for the moment was DEAR GOD PLEASE STOP NOTICING ME PLEASE!
After a long moment, he put on the best pokerface he could manage, lifting his face up off the ground and chuckling softly, smiling outwardly to the others. "Oh! Don't mind me! I was just resting my face for a few moments!" Laughing rather awkwardly once more as he helped himself up off of the ground, dusting himself off and amending the misplaced bits of his leather armor that he still loathed with all of his being in the current moment, finally looking back up to Spectre with a grin. "So! What was that I heard? Something about exploring outside of the town? You'll need a Bard!" No Saeyd shut up, they don't need a bard. No, worse, you had no idea how to interact with people face to face, what are you doing!? Those were the internal questions he began to broadside himself with when he realized he was talking outwardly as if he was playing his character. This was... Far from ideal, for the social introvert. He did glance at the other Fox Tail, but didn't speak toward her. She seemed distant for the moment.

love the life you live live the life you love Although he didn’t expect that punch, he realized he did deserve it once he got it. He realized one other unsettling thing though; he could feel pain. So, I’m going to feel pain while I fight monsters?! he wondered. He wasn’t sure why he expected not to feel pain. Everything seems pretty real in this world; it obviously includes pain and all the other negative things in the world. This isn’t just a game anymore. It’s a new life in a new world. And obviously, the only thing that bothered him among these things is the pain. The reason he never went to gym or played any sport is because he hated how it hurt at the end of it all. Pain was one thing that he could never tolerate. Hopefully, it’ll change in this world.
“You pack quite the punch! I’d love to party up with you,” he would say with an expression that is half-amused and half-painful.
As he stood back up, finally coping with the pain, that’s when he heard the thud. While he controlled his laughter until then, he couldn’t help but burst out when Saeyd said he was just resting his face. His stomach hurt further due to his laughing and it took him a few seconds to stop himself and respond to Saeyd. “Haha… You are a bard? That is awesome. You make us fight better using your beautiful music and you are funny. Couldn’t have asked for a better mate. Welcome!” he would say with a genuine excitement, still recovering from his earlier bout of laughter.
“Alright then! It is going to be quite a party,” he would say before sending a party request to both of them. “Let’s go kill ourselves some beasts, fellas! And careful not to get hit… It hurts!” he would say, winking at Keyala with a sheepish grin.

She chuckles as she accepts the party invite, sliding her finger along her status menu "Me? Fighting? I'm a Summoner, I have Rose fight for me." she says, rather pompously as she smirks towards Spectre, finally turning around towards "Lets find a place with some good material for me to summon her with thought...a soil Golem is fast and can regenerate, but it's not all that powerful. Granted, it can absorb a lot of damage and or distract the mobs while you get powered up by the Bard and hit them from behind, then no one gets hurt minus Rose, but she can handle it." the redheaded fox-tail girl says rather confidently, pulling her very basic wooden staff out of her inventory. "Although...casting from the menu sounds like it's going to be a pain in the ass...maybe there's an easier way, like hotkeying or something..." she sighs, looking down to the male fox-tail on the ground, pacing up near him before Spectre would say anything else after the party invite "So what's your name Bard? I'm Keyala in case you didn't hear. You look a little frazzled, this place throw you off a bit? You can't stay down there for too long, we have a whole new world to explore and a whole new world to pioneer! We can be Knights and Kings and Nobles and Craftsmen and Artisans! So the longer you stay down, the further behind you get! Spectre here seems to understand that as much as I do. Come and we can discover the Gods' plan for us!" she says, seeming to change from the little girl like personality that punched Spectre, to someone making a speech in front of a large crowd, with a wide, friendly smile on her face. She seems to be already trying to assume a new role in this world. Word Count: 311 Total Word Count: 940 Tags: Saeyd, Spectre

love the life you live live the life you love Spectre wasn’t paying full attention to what Keyala was saying. He was too busy looking at the map, trying to find a nice hunting spot. This was his first day in the game; so, he had absolutely no idea which place offered the best target practice for newbies. Figuring there is no point in looking at the map with no clue at all, he turned around to focus on what Keyala was saying. He was surprised at how detailed her planning was. He always admired people who could anticipate things and plan in advance. Him? He just went with the flow. Never really planned anything and did whatever occurred to him during the fights.
However, he couldn’t help but want to plan this time around; especially because he is inside the game now and will feel pain when hit. Unsheathing his two swords, he tried a few slashes. As much as he liked playing sword-wielding characters in computer games, he himself had absolutely no skill in it. So, he was a bit worried when Keyala mused on how casting skills from the menu is going to be difficult. Further, he couldn’t understand how hotkeying is going to work here. Does he have to take stances and shout out the skill’s name like in those fancy action Anime? Guess he had to try to know for sure.
Grinning, he sheathed his swords and took a step out of the city and towards the Greatwoods. Whatever this new world had in store for him, he was gonna face it head on. Sitting here like a scaredy cat is not going to be much fun after all. Wandering off the beaten path, he would begin his search for some low-level beasts he could cut open along with Keyala’s golem. In only a few seconds, he would spot a couple of Young Pittered Boars. “Are you ready, Keyala?” he would ask in a soft tone, so as to not scare the boars away. If she was ready, he would unsheathe his swords and activate Silent Move. Post: 342 Words | Thread: 1534 Words Tagged: Keyala | OOC: Skipping Saeyd as it has been over a week. Keyala smirked, her red fox tail giving a slight wag as she looked to her new enemy. She was ready to see where this new world would be able to take her, and ready to prove herself as a warrior, mage, and a leader even perhaps. She looked to the human swashbuckler, giving him a small nod. She figured that he could turn out to be a valuable ally, plus, every ally in this world could prove vital to the success of the adventurers here. She wanted to be a part of that success, regardless of how long it took her to rise to the occasion. She would raise her staff, looking to the edges of her vision...no...she had a better idea she thought to herself as she said aloud "Summon Follower: Golem!". As if her body was no longer under her control, she began the summoning animation, as the soil in front of her began to rise and form together. In a few seconds, a humanoid form begins to take shape in front of her, with a glowing red light seeming to hold it all together, likely the mana supply from Keyala. The golem only stood about one meter tall, it didn't look all that threatening, but for the beginning of the game, it would do. Keyala would keep her staff raised, pointed at the pack of mobs, looking to Spectre, she would speak "Stay hidden, I'll have Rose here draw their aggro, then, after she does damage, you can dive in and take some out while they're distracted by Rose, and I'll pick some off using Rose, or another round of guardian fist" she says concisely, as the soil golem begins to trudge towards the mobs, raising its fist as Keyala gives one more yell "Guardian Fist!". Her animation begins, as does her golem, Rose's. The golem raises its fist, smashing it down into the group, dealing damage among all the mobs, as they begin to attack the golem, who begins to dodge around some of their attacks Word Count: 342 Total Word Count: 940+342=1282 Tags: Spectre
