Is this a dream?

Youka opened her eyes slowly and blinked. She put her hand in front of her face. She frowned. This isn't my hand. What's going on?  Youka sat quickly. She looked around and discovered that she was in a forest of some sort. She glanced down to survey herself. To Youka's surprise she wasn't herself. In fact she was her character on Elder Tales. WHAT'S GOING ON? WHAT?  Youka got up off the forest floor thinking that she should figure out where she was in the game. It was probably going to be hard considering she was a brand new player and had no idea where she was. 

        A few minutes went by as Youka stood in her spot silently observing the area. She took a few steps forward before sighing.

I'm going on an adventure! ❤ It seemed that things were not as they seemed- a dream within a dream (teehee). He'd been awake for quite some time and experienced many people coming to in this strange world. Still it seemed that more and more of them were dropping in by the minute. Just how many people were ensnared by this nefarious plot to contain their souls within this fantastic world?! Unlike many others he was not afraid, no, he was more so intrigued by the chance to explore this new universe that was not his own. Setting his plumed hat upon his head, the swashbuckling story teller made his way out of the city. He didn't want to be here when the eventual chaos broke out and people started begging people for answers. No, Dantes was going to get a lead on this new world and find some answers for himself. How was he going to do it? Not a clue, he would figure it out as he went if he had to. Fate would have it that he was not to be alone on his quest as he happened across a curious adventurer. She was standing in the middle of the path staring at nothing as if she was in a trance. Perhaps she needed the hand of a stranger to steady her own and guide her in this odd new world.  "Excuse me miss! I see that you seemed to be confused about something! Might I be of assistance?" he asked, bowing low to the girl and sweeping his hat off his head and across his chest as he did so. Embers ★

Youka turned towards the person calling to her. She said nothing for a minute or two as she examined the male. Obviously he was human and maybe polite but that was that was available be told about him immediately. Youka certainly didn't trust him so she opted to glare him happily. She glared at him with a frown on her face. Youka took a few small steps towards the man. She smirked and answered extremely fast with a certain degree of haughtiness , " And why would I need assistance from the likes of you?" With that Youka turned back around and continued to survey the land around her.

I'm going on an adventure! ❤ Ah! The fact that she tried hard to show her disdain and distrust did not dissuade the fellow from trying. It merely told him that this adventurer would not be won over by a smile and some fancy words. Straightening himself up, Dantes replaced the hat upon his head and cleared his throat before speaking. "Because dear woman, it appears as if you are lost. On this strange day it seems that most are- it is not every day you get transported into a strange new universe." he said with a cheery tone. Despite the circumstances of it all he seemed to be in dapper spirits. Perhaps because for him it was a dream come true, a world where he could shine with the power of his imagination. Resting one hand on the sheath of his rapier for support, he continued with his speech. "The fact of the matter is it may not be you who needs the help at all but I. You see I have taken on a quest from one of the natives and it cannot be done with anything less than two skilled adventurers." he rambled on using many hand gestures to make his point. "Of course feel free to say no, I shall not be offended! I merely asked because you seemed capable of handling yourself as assassins usually are." he added. Embers ★

Well the man was right she guessed. In all honesty Youka didn't really care much for the man. However, if  she decided to help him it could maybe teach her a few things she ought to know. What the world was like, the types of monsters. And above else for the benefits she could really use the possible experience and items that helping with the quest would get  her. On the bad side she'd have to work with the man. The seemingly pretentious man.

Youka turned towards the man and studied him as she mulled over the idea of helping him. Clearly he couldn't be trusted, but no one could so it wouldn't matter if he was trust worthy or not. Youka smiled fakely. " What's your name?" she asked sickeningly sweet. Might as well find out what she could about the man before she decided to help him or not.

I'm going on an adventure! ❤ While his words did little to melt the ice in this woman's heart he could not detoured. Once he set his mind to something there was no stopping him and so he meant to persuade her one way or the other to tag along. Be it that he had to bribe her or use flattery, he would prevail in the end he prayed. "I assure you madam, you shall come to no harm from me. Pray, relax your weary stance. I am not your enemy in this tale." he said with a bright grin. Of course the wolf could always hide in sheep's clothing but he had no intention of ever harming a soul in this world. PvP was not his thing, never had been and he hated the fact that it was integrated into most online gaming. As he went to speak once more he would be cut off by her question. Ah, but where were his manners! Somehow he had forgotten to introduce himself. "My name is Dantès, I am but a travelling story teller. This adventure is to be the maiden voyage of my journey to the libraries where I shall sleep among legends." he said with a smile. "But enough about me. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking to? I don't suppose calling you by your class alone will do." he stated. Only once he had his answer would he then go on to share the details of the quest in question. While it was not a very hard task he knew even mole hills could turn into mountains. Embers ★

Youka frowned sullenly. " I didn't ask for your life story. I asked for your name!" she snapped in response. This man, Dante, was clearly a pretentious butt. Annndd there was another con to helping him. He was annoying. All the fancy talk and mannerisms was probably just a facade to hide some underlying secret. 

"Tell me your secrets.." she said under her breath before adding in a normal tone," It's Youka, my name."  Youka frowned again. This would not be fun. Not one bit. " Well what are the quest details?" she asked.
