@solo @solo WORDS | 293 T WORDS | 293 Don’t cry– your tears will freeze. Off the bard went the next day, to the Thames Coastline. It was a gloomy day. Thick clouds were formed overhead. So thick that not a ray of sunlight could be seen, at least from where he was. Not too discouraging. He wasn't likely to sweat, since it was cool out. There'd be the occasional gust of cool wind, which felt fantastic. No better time to be looking than now. Not too many people were out and about in his area. Whether that was due to how he'd set out in the morning or the weather he wasn't sure. But it was beneficial. Didn't have to worry about bumping into someone, or squabbling over the ancient fragments. Assuming there were any in his area to be found. Who knew how far they'd been brought out by the water? Or how deep they would be. Getting wet wasn't on his to do list today. No sir. Although it was likely that would happen, with the cloudy sky.
The black haired individual didn't start searching right away. Instead he simply relaxed on an elevated spot, which allowed him to see a small distance in front of him. There was the occasional seagull about in the air. Docile creatures, the seagulls were. Or coastal seagulls, if you wanted to address them by their technical name. What they were identified as by the game. They were exactly like the ones in the real world when it came to looks. It was a nice thing to see after all the initial chaos. They were rather, comforting. Besides those peaceful peaceful seagulls there were very few people. "Welp, off we go" Frost said, bringing himself off the ground. It was time to start that which was set in motion. MADE BY SUNBUNS

@solo @solo WORDS | 341 T WORDS | 634 Don’t cry– your tears will freeze. The bard walked along the water's with the divining rod in hand. It wasn't anything special. Small wooden handle without any intricate designs and a bit of metal that was in an l shape. Looked like copper was the metal used. You'd honestly expect a little more of a sage. "Honestly" he muttered. It was meant to glow when one of the fragments was nearby, and dip or incline in the direction it was in. But he was getting nothing. Wasn't much he could do about that. Just follow the river, walking around the big plants and along the gravel or grass. The side of the river he was on didn't have much in terms of trees, it was cleared out mostly and away from settlements. At least it was quiet, that was a nice perk. Few people that were around minded their own business.
"Switch" he said out loud to himself. The divining rod was passed from his right hand to his left. It got tiring holding it with one hand for a while. Doing so brought back memories from when he was younger, of when he was canoeing. He'd gone along with a sleep away camp he was attending. All the other children were about his age. Only off by a few months. Not a solid year younger, or older. The age groups were split up. There had two male and female staff members with them. One of each gender were the designated trip counselors, while the remaining two were the ones for their age group. All quite nice, quite helpful. Using the divining rod was similar to those old memories due to how he'd switch sides paddling every so often. He'd usually do it more than one might expect, or care for. But he was partnered with a friend, who didn't mind. A friend who he'd likely never see again. After all, there was no way out of this world. And he wasn't playing Elder Tales at the time of the apocalypse, as far as he was aware. MADE BY SUNBUNS

@solo @solo WORDS | 571 T WORDS | 1205 Don’t cry– your tears will freeze. "Switch again" he said, before bringing the divining rod back to his right hand. Got more tiring to hold it faster in his left hand, than his right. His right hand was his dominant one. The other one was weak in comparison. Biggest difference would be how he could only hold maybe one, two grocery bags at most with his left. While with his right he could lift three grocery bags nearly all the time. That was when it came to strength though. Handwriting was the most obvious difference. Frost's handwriting with his right hand wasn't the best. The left hand, was something he'd never use. Made it look like it was a kindergartner's writing. Not to mention how slow it was.
Suddenly the dipped to his right, and glowed blue slightly. Jack pot, he'd found something. The bard turned to his right and groaned however. It was pointing in the water. In the freaking water. Just his bloody luck. Of all the places it had to be it was there. Taking off his cheap leather shoes and pulling his pant leg's up he slowly walked into the water. It was so cold, ever so cold. Ever so slowly he inched his way in, watching as the divining rod lit up. It wasn't long before the water was right up to his waist, soaking his pants entirely. Thankfully the rod was also dipped downwards at this point and glowing immensely, meaning he'd finally found what he was looking for. With a deep breath the bard submerged his head under the murky water and moved his hand around the floor. Anything that felt like a stone or a pebble he would take and bring back to the surface, giving it a quick look before tossing it.
Took him a few tries, a look at where the divining rod was pointing and a bit of digging before he finally found what he was looking for. He had uncovered what was definitely what the sage had mentioned, due to its strange look and how the rod pointed at it. At this point water his whole body was practically soaked, but it was worth it. Only problem was that the tablet's fragment looked a bit worn out. But he didn't worry about it at that moment. Instead Frost walked back to where he'd taken off his shoes before lying down. He was tired. This break was well deserved. Not like the sage needed the stone right away anyway. MADE BY SUNBUNS
