As the light cleared, Kane felt much stronger. As he glanced up, out of the corner of his eye he saw his interface. In the corner where the level was, there was a glowing 90 where his level should be, and a tiny buff icon: Pebble of Philosophy: Temp Level Boost Well that was definitely new. As was the person he saw standing at the edge of the room. A purple-haired female samurai by the looks of it. She didn't seem to notice him yet though, and he raised his hand slowly and smiled as he made a small wave in her direction. Suddenly, the crystal began glowing again, and a chill ran down Kane's spine. There was suddenly the sound of bubbles behind him, coming from the fountain, and definitely increasing in speed. Then came the sound of rushing water as what Kane could only assume something large began emerging from it. He grew nervous, as he slowly turned his head around to look in fear at what was now behind him. A Giant Crab-Man. Kane jumped up, pocketed the stone and began booking it to the edge of the map. His place was NOT the front lines, and was definitely not next to the scary giant Crab-monster. Tags: Hirosame @royah Notes: A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES! FIGHT! The girl swung her nodachi around, it shined as though it were a bright new weapon. Her armor and equipment, as well as her level, had all been boosted up to level 90, and she also had access to other skills that she normally would not have had access to. This meant that she would be able to put out her full strength, even strengths she did not know she had. Or that she would learn she had later on in life. Despite this, she looked over and noticed another person yet in the area. A Heretic. So, some other kind of damage would be applied. Royah need only focus on her own well being for now, then, and would work to keep whatever monster would appear's aggro fixed solely on her. This would be her real debut as an Off-Tank, or maybe even fully tank. Thanks to the skills that she had active, Royah began to cast buffs upon herself. The first of which being [Barrier Armor], which placed a 5% Health armor buff over herself, helping her mitigate any damage that would come at her immediately after the fight starts. Something to help take away any damage she might face, as soon as the fight started. The next skill she would use is [Summon Shikigami], a skill that would allow her access to some abilities, whereas she normally could not summon things without this level difference. Casting the skill, and releasing it up into the air, a small humanoid appeared, covered in purple haze. She fluttered around the battlefield for a few moments, before looking at her summoning master. Royah readied her nodachi before herself, motioning to the other person at the Shikigami. "Righty-o, Boss-Lady!" The Shikigami shouted, as she fluttered over to the nearby man. "Howdy-ho, mister hate guy!" She began. "Master Royah wants me to tell you that she'll be both tanking and healing herself, and that you should not rely on her at all. Do damage, but don't get in her way, kay?~ <3" Making a little kissing emote, she flew back to Royah's side. "Was that good?" She asked to the shaman, who nodded. Bringing the blade up as one would see a Samurai dong so, she waited for the enemy to show themselves, before anything else would be done. She would have cast more spells upon herself, but there wasn't much more time before crab-like being appeared before all three of them. Royah glared at the opposing party, ready to fight with all her heart and mind. Word Count: 424 Words/424 Words

[attr="class","capsol"] "Arrrrrrgh... Ye be tryin' to steal me secret recipe... An' I don't even know how ye got into me restaurant! Ye'd best give it back, elsewise yer gonna hafta deal with good ol' Iron-Belly Brachy!"
Brachyura, the salty old seadog rose up from the waters of the fountain. Sure, the old man may have had a bit too much to drink the night before, but that didn't mean a thing. The Sailor Life meant getting drunk and hung over while one's at port! This was the way things went, and he was sure as the seven lockers of Davy Jones not gonna change it. Changing how he went about things, being the old Sailor he was, meant running the risk of cursing himself and his entire crew. Then again, he wasn't the captain of the ship, but he sure as hell wasn't going to ruin it for everybody. No sirree, this meant playing by the rules. And these ruffians, who had the gall to try and take his Pebble of Philosophy, his most prized possession, right from under his nose! He didn't have one, but it's the principle of the matter!
"I ain't gonna say it again, ye landlubbers. Gimme back me secret recipe! And, to show ye I mean buserness, I'll give ye a taste of the danger ye face." Iron-Belly Brachy leaned back, casting up a big old tidal wave that would begin to form behind him. Empathiom Sea was a skill that old Iron-Belly had learned a long time ago, when he had finally mastered his craft on the boats. Nobody had yet to stand up against it without taking a massive load of damage, and this group of landlubbers sure as hell couldn't stand up to something like that, he felt. Casting the wave, Brachyura unleashed it upon the supposedly unsuspecting crew on the ground. "YEEEEEEEEEEEEARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!" He shouted, blasting the wave forward. If it connected, it should likely deal some very nice damage. This would show them, for sure, that he meant what he said. "If ye want to go runnin' screamin' to yer mommies, now would be the time! Elsewise, you'll just have to feel me wrath of the deep!" Letting out a powerful laugh, Iron-Belly waited for the two to decide on their next moves. Would they run away, leaving the Pebbles behind? Or would they stay and meet Davy Jones himself, Iron-Belly Brachyura being the one to show them the door? Only time would tell.

Music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj5pk6uZ0m0Kane was already upset at the little fairy telling him to just sit back and watch. He could damn well handle himself, and planned to prove it. He focused for a moment upon the miasma, casting Abyssal Contract. Immediately his hair grew dark, the purple highlights beginning to pulse as the miasma fused with his body. His skin grew pale, and the black bags under his eyes grew more pronounced. He could feel its power beginning to manifest within him. Yes, that's it. Embrace the darkness within.A sickening smile crept wide across his face, The miasma beginning to become one with him. As his corruption rose, triggering Miasma Appendage, causing A massive demonic tail sprouted out from his form, looking almost as twisted as its master's patchwork form. For once Kane agreed with Noctis. As the giant Crab began its tirade, Kane grinned wildly at the threat of the attack, The wave forming in front of him, barreling towards both him and his companion. Dodging would be next to impossible. He chuckled though, focusing more on the miasma that began to course through his body. He felt it within him, powering him. " Patient Zero." Immediately, the miasma began to leak out of the stitches and runes that covered his body, seeming to escape from whatever hole they could. His body would be a vessel for the Miasma. He would become its very Avatar on this plane. Suddenly, Neomorphism activated, triggering Doomclad Wings and Pulsating Core to materialize. Two black-and-red pulsating wings sprouted from his back. He jumped, using the wings to get up over the wave and hover long enough to avoid the attack. He smiled again as he descended back to the ground, a red crystal beginning to form on his chest, and his blood vessels beginning to rhythmically glow and pulse with it. " You see, I can handle myself more than you realize. I have friends in strange places. In fact yo might even say," He threw up his hand, Summoning forth 5 Nightmare Denizens. Demonic looking shadow beings rose out of the ground, forming from the very misasma that emanated from his emaciated form. " I have friends on the other side." The Shadows stared in the crabs direction, letting out blood curling screams as they began to charge towards it. His smile grew wider as they charged, and he twisted his hand and pointed at the crab. The miasma once again began forcing its way through his stitching, but this time, taking the form of locusts. As they crawled out of the man's stitched up flesh, they formed a cloud and swarmed towards the crab. The miasma continued to leak out of his form in dark pillars as the swarm made its way forward. " Smokin'." Tags: @royah HirosameNotes: Art thou feeling it now, Mr. Krabs?

As if the girl were pretending to be cool for a moment, as the splash came crashing down, she stabbed her weapon into the ground, and turned away from the water. A tank knows how to take a single hit like this all in good stride, especially with the bonus from the skill she had used previously. Without so much as a full damaging left onto her, the girl turned back around after the attack was finished, to see that here were shadows attacking the monster by this point. She looked over at the Heretic person, without feeling any sort of emotion. This person must really have an inferiority complex if he would say something like that. Either that, or a horrible case of middle-school syndrome. But, she disregarded him for the time being, as she picked her weapon back up, holding it as she was ready to attack further.
The shikigami fluttered next to her master's side. "Ooooooooh, that monster got you all wet!" She cried, giggling to herself. "You should've made it take you out to dinner first, Master!" Shooting a glare at the shikigami, Royah began to cast a series of spells upon herself. First casting the spell [Exorcism of a Cursed Lotus], marking herself as the recipient, and Brachyura as the main target. Afterwards, she used the spell [Damage Interception] to apply yet another barrier over herself, and then [Hybrid Barrier] to compound the two together. Once this was all done, she used the skill known as [Divine Subjugation] on herself. The effects of all these spells was that she now had a barrier which increased her attack speed against Brachyura, provided damage mitigation for a short while, and boosted her attack power and aggro generation.
She steeled herself for combat, and charged into the opponent's range of attacks, slicing at it for a good few seconds. Royah would continue to attack the crab man while her shikigami flew over next to the heretic to explain what she wanted to say further. The fairy-like creature appeared next to the heretic guy, and spoke. "Okay, you keep doing what you're doing, mister scary guy! Just keep layering on damages, and let Royah-sama take all the aggro. Oh, but don't forget to stay out of her way!~ <3" She flew back to her master, landing atop her shoulder. As the girl attacked the monster, one could hear the shikigami shouting from her side. "Oh yeah, kick his ass something fierce, Royah-sama!!" After a few more seconds of attacking, she jumped back, hoping to have drawn enough aggro for the time being.

[attr="class","capsol"] "So, yer wantin' to be fightin' ol' Iron-Belly, eh!?" Brachyura bellowed. "Say 'how's yer sister' to Davy Jones fer me, ya saltwater-swallowin' scalawags!"
Brachyura's eyes fixed on the girl before him, as his claws began to swing out and around to her. She had jumped back just in time, after her attack, though, which made him a little impressed. The ghosts that were buggering around his head did cause him to get a little irritated, though, which he very much did not appreciate. For a split second, his eyes flicked over to the Heretic nearby, who thought he was all the coolest things in the ocean with his big old wings. Brachyura wasn't dumb enough to believe that this landlubber had sprouted his wings for very long, and decided that he would go ahead and give the both of them something to drink. They looked thirsty, the depraved knaves, and he figured he might as well be nice enough to give one of them a drink!
"Drink up and sing yer shanties, kids! Uncle Brachy's got a nice glass here waitin' fer ya!"
Just as the Heretic would be forced down to the ground, Brachyura began to cast a spell to be placed around the guy. Hopefully give him a moment to chill out. Casting very quickly and applying it on the Heretic, Brachyura used Purgatory Bubble to surround the Heretic. Afterwards, his attention fixed back on the Shaman before himself, to which he responded to her attacks with a powerful charge. He began to Bulldoze over to the Shaman, ideally crashing into her and her tiny pixie friend. The Shaman likely didn't have much room to dodge, thanks to the weight of her armor, he figured he would've been able to hit her with his powerful charge. After the charge was done, he went to turn around, and taunt the two again. It was so much fun to be a giant crab monster in this day and age, since nobody had their sea legs anymore.
"Yer both nothin' but a couple a' 'gulls, circlin' the bay fer yer food in a storm! The wave's'll knock ye down a few pegs, that's fer sure!" Letting out another hearty laugh, the monster stood waiting for their next moves.

The miasma was beginning to take control, warp his mind. Every move he made he felt it coursing ever stronger through his form. It was extacy, but at the same time it was painful. All he could begin to feel was a drowning. His vision seemed to grow distant, as though he were lost inside himself, his eyes little more than distant windows in the crashing turmoil within himself. He drifted off and began to black out. ~ Noctis cracked his neck as he awoke in the body. It was about time honestly, he was getting a little cramped locked up in his own body's mind. The fool who he "shared" with had little idea the full potential of the powers he had been attempting to control. In time, he would learn that the miasma was not a force to be controlled. You do little to control its torrent, you merely let it come through you and manifest, you can do as much to control it as one could a natural disaster. He did like his style however, this suit did look nice. Personally he preferred his robes, but he would let it slide this time. He quickly surveyed the field. A giant crab-man, a few nightmare denizens. Kane had done well with his management of corruption for an initiate of the dark arts. But this would never do. It was too unbalanced. The glory of the miasma should be shared. Noctis used the miasma appendage to burst the bubble and took the slight damage from the fall. He quickly shot out the appendage in an attempt to grab and pull the girl to his location and out of the way of the barreling crab. As she landed, he cast Lying darkness at their location, giving them both 10 more corruption. The crab would need to stop for a moment as well. Noctis raised a hand and the obsidian and violet chains of Shackles of the Sentenced burst up around Brachyura, rooting him to the spot. It wouldn't be much, but it would give them both a second. He quickly threw up Madness Trance around both him and the Shrine Maiden. Because of Patient zero, he would maintain his corruption stage, but their points would be evenly distributed between them both, giving noctis 49 and her 50, throwing her into Stage 3 corruption. His voice came across, this one different than the one that had come before. It was a dark voice, but it was regal and had hints of madness, but also knowledge and a faint tinge of kindness within it. " I appologize for the hell you are about to experience, but it is necessary. You may find that you gain a few temporary powers as this darkness temporarilly imbues itself into you. I will relieve you of it once we finish, but for now, I wish you take advantage of its power." He concentrated, throwing up his hands. One summoned a giant black orb that would empower their magic, Mitochondrial Miasma. The other, spread out a thick layer of black mist, covering the battlefield. Wicked Promoter. It would give them all some of his own knowledge and abilities to use. But if they could pull this off, It would be for the best. He thrust out his right arm, The miasma congealing into a large battleaxe of a design solely to kill and tear enemies asunder. His left hand cast Oblivion Claw onto his partner's weapon, embuing it with the power to corrupt whatever it struck next. Things were about to get interesting. Having skillfully dodged whatever attack had come her way at the start, which she supposed would have been cool, had she actually planned it, she smirked a little as the monster started to put a bubble around the heretic guy. This meant that he was likely causing a bit too much of a pain for the monster, though she knew that he was probably just a secondary target, since her hate was still powerful enough. Just to make sure, though, she would need to do some aggro management. That would come in due time, though, as she had just been suddenly attacked by the monster's massive body. It used [Bulldoze] on her, and she had no room to actually avoid the skill. The heretic tried to save her from the attack, but the crab man was too fast. She was forced to take a lot of the damage that it would have inflicted normally, but a good deal less so, thanks to the barriers she had set up prior.
The barrier had been completely destroyed, while managing to keep her from a good portion of the damage from the skill. Having been knocked to the ground, she started to get up, as her shikigami fluttered over to her side. A big grin was on the spirit's face. "You look like you got a big old boo-boo, Master!" Royah threw the spirit an annoyed glare, before standing back up. The heretic began to talk, sounding different from before, after having used a skill that she was very clearly outside of the range of. She had been knocked back by the crab, and he was still nearby where he had fallen from the bubble. At least, from what she could tell. Clearly out of range of whatever he was casting and using. Either way, though, they managed to have shackled the monster somehow, though she didn't know why. It was a boss monster, it had to have some kind of a resistance to that.
This would be a good time to start regaining some of her health back, and putting up another barrier or two. The effect from her previous skills, by this point, was gone, so she just had to rely on her own wits and skills from here. The first thing she needed to do was make sure her aggro was the highest. Holding her hand out toward the heretic, she used the skill [Abstinence] to decrease their hate. Then, in order to gain back some of the damage she had taken, the girl used [Mystic Mirror] to launch a wave of light at the monster, while simultaneously gaining some health back. She glared at the monster once again, as she began to put up another barrier, [Barrier of Cleansing Flames]. Sure, this was a water monster, and it probably had some kind of a resistance to fire, but this would still add some damage.
The next skill she used was a Tier III skill, [Cherry Blossom Barrier], surrounding herself in flower petals. A powerful barrier, but one that also had its own advantages offensively, as well. When all of these were in place, she began to attack the monster once more, slashing at its body harshly. The combination of fire damage and the damage from her strikes should definitely be adding up, as she continued to fight the monster.

[attr="class","capsol"] Iron-Belly Brachy saw that the landlubbers were looking for a right good fight at this point, as the number of their attacks had begun to pick up, despite their hits not dealing as much damage as they wanted to deal it. He chuckled a bit as the Shadow Man decided to break out of the bubble, dealing some damages as he fell. Brachy was then shackled by some kind of dark chains, but these wouldn't hold ol' Iron-Belly for long at all.
"Ye think yer all full a' piss an' vinegar, don't ye?" He let out another bellowing laugh, moving his claws a bit. "Well, just ye see how much damage a true man o' the sea can dea-" His claw was stuck. "Gurg. Yeargh! Yahargh!" Brachy kept pulling on the chains, but he wasn't making much headway at all. "These chains 'er somethin' strong, I'll give that to ye, but wait until ye see what a true man o' the sea can do!"
Laying out another thread, he felt a beam of light hit his body, as the Shaman blasted him with some powerful ray, and then cloaked herself in fire and then in petals. Fire? Didn't she realize? He's a salty old seadog, so there isn't a fire in the world that can burn him! Well, probably not, anyways. Then again, this fire did hurt a little bit, as he was cut into again and again by the kid at his crab legs. Eventually, though, it began to hurt a bit more. Landlubbers were starting to hurt some now, and he wasn't going to take very kindly to it. The strength of the ocean began to swirl up inside him, a typhoon of anger starting to build up in his mind. He broke through the shackles that had been placed on him, about 2x as early as they would normally have, thanks to his massive form.
"Now ye've gone an' done it, ye barnacle-backed deck-swabbers! Now ye've gone an' made me angry!" Iron-Belly had broken free of the shackles completely by this point, and decided to jump up and into the air, angling himself backward just a bit. He was going to use his Megaton Slam skill on the two of them, and angled himself so he would land right on top of the Heretic, while also having the shockwave emanate out to the Shaman. This way, the Heretic couldn't just jump up and fly out of range, since he had had enough of his little shadow people, too. This AoE skill, after he slammed into the ground, was followed up by casting a spell. Blowing bubbles all around, he used Brilliant Prism to target the Shaman, and impact her with a powerful blast of light. The crab pound his feet into the ground a few times, angrily. "Ain't even Davy Jones gonna recognize ye, once I'm finished with ye both!!!" He howled, getting into a furious rampage.

To be honest, he had no idea that the Crab had such mad hops. He attempted to roll out of the way as it came barelling towards him, still getting hit by the shockwave, but at least he didn't take the full brunt of the attack. After getting knocked back, he rolled up to his feet, and focused on his hand, conjuring up black flames and launching the Hellfire at Brachyura, hoping to get in a good, solid attack. After launching it, he would dismiss his wings, as he may need something more in a little while. it would cost him 30 seconds to cool down, but it would be worth it in the long run. His next plan would be a bit tricky; he would use Spellwalking to stay mobile as he charged up Miasma Bullet the full 5 seconds, increasing its damage to 175%. On top of that, there would be an extra 10% from Pulsating Core, and 25% from Abyssal Contract, causing it to deal 210% damage. Next, he would dismiss the Pulsating core. He wouldn't need it anymore, counting that the Shaman drew Brachy's agro. He would just need to bide his time until he could use Neomorphism to give himself a new and improved set of miasma appendages. He eyed the weapon in his hand, its engine revving, the chains alond its edge roaring. His corruption points were nearing one hundred. At that point, the miasma-infused/created weapon would hold a level of 100, more than enough to bring Brachy's health down to 25%. At that point, it would be checkmate. He didn't know how he would communicate this to the shaman girl. she didn't seem to be one for strategy or talking for that matter. He would just have to assume she would somehow see what he was going for, and bide its attention long enough. He turned one hand towards the ground, once again casting lying darkness, but this time, for a full 20 points on himself. As he did that, he could feel his physical form changing, shifting. He was sure that at this point, he would appear daemonic, possibly even inhuman. But it would all be for the greater good at this point. He turned an open palm towards Brachyura, casting forth Prana Leech, and beginning to run around the battle field. It would have to do for now. Tag: @royah Hirosame

She didn't know what to make of the heretic. He seemed so interested in battle, that she just kind of stared in disbelief. How could someone be so open to fighting, causing a complete havoc of the area around themselves, and spread corruption around the place? It seemed like far too much for one person to handle, and this guy didn't seem to be handling it quite so well. It's as though they were a completely different person by this point. And then, the crab jumped in the air, made a splash of sorts, and then threw bubbles at the girl. These bubbles spit out a beam of light, which dealt some further damage onto her. Royah, turning over to see the heretic guy all decked out in black and darkness, thought that she would make a contrast. Royah looked over to her shikigami, and nodded.
The shikigami squealed for a moment, throwing her arms up into the air. "Yatta! Count on me, Boss-Lady!" The Shikigami flew over toward Royah, positioning herself right next to her master. Bringing her nodachi up and in front of her face, Royah concentrated all the flower petals to appear closer to her, forming a type of wall that none could see inside of. As this happened, the two of them began to fuse forms. The petals swirled around her faster, as she cast another few skills upon herself. [Divine Subjugation], [Barrier Armor], and [Healing Prayer] were all used while the petals swirled around faster. Eventually, though, Royah's voice could be heard amidst the petals.
"Yorishiro Avatar!"
The petals around her exploded, revealing her new form. Her hair and skin were pale white colors now, her body glowed bright yellow, and a barrier was very quickly forming up around her, as her health was rapidly increasing back to full. A buffer had been placed around her as well, compounding with the other barrier, to add a buffer by which she could mitigate some more damage. Twirling the blade around a few times, she held it behind herself with just one hand. Afterwards, she spoke. "All right, you salty old bastard. It's time you die!" Her voice was echoing with the sound of her shikigami, though it melded with her own voice. Royah charged up ahead, weapon behind her.
She used another skill, [Exorcism of a Cursed Lotus], to boost her attack speed on Brachyura. She didn't care about much of anything else for the time being, and only began to slice away at the monster's body rapidly. This was something that she had wanted to do in video games for a very long time. Go into a berserk mode such as this, where she could fully burst out some real damage, and all the while, look cool while doing so. She felt cool, at least. Either way, her may barriers would keep her from being damaged for a little while now. This would be fun, since she hadn't talked much at all since she got here. Her voice felt good right about now, and a smile appeared on her face.

[attr="class","capsol"] So it seems that Iron-Belly Brachy's attacks didn't do much of anything to the girl. She was still kicking, even after that attack that the old sea dog had performed, what with the bubbles and light, and whatnot. He was getting just a bit more ABSOLUTELY LIVID with each turn of events. No, he needed to keep things going for now, and would use this time to beat the living crab out of the Shaman girl. See what he did there? Puns are funny. At least, the old codger thought so. Grunting as the attacks from all sides seemed to be taking their toll a bit more, he brought up his arms up, ready to unleash another attack. This time, he would use Four Arms to slice away at that measly Shaman, and hopefully hit that Heretic, too.
"Yer not gonna like me when ye get me this mad, ye spoiled seawater-spittin' sponges! This oughta learn ye!" He launched forward and backward some blast-waves that formed X's out, and then returned to a casting position. He began to fire up another Empathiom Sea while in the meantime, and launched another barrage of seawater out upon both of his attackers. He didn't know how or why the Shaman girl had started to glow like one of them Super Saiyan's from that kids show, but he wasn't going to have none of her shenanigans.
The water crashed down across the battlefield, this time unavoidable as he had grown much angrier. As the Wrath of the Sea, in name only, got mad, so did the waters herself. He then proceeded to barrel down onto the Shaman once again, using Bulldoze on her tiny form. He wasn't joking around anymore, and he was sure as hell going to show that he meant business. "I'm a wee bit tired a' yer games, sprouts! Don't ye be makin' me any more angry, an' die like a good pair a' scalawags!" Shouting his taunt, he finished with his Bulldoze, and stood there, waiting to see what his opponents would do from there. Better not be anything drastic, because then he'll have to beat them both up something fierce.

On one corner you had a being of essentially pure darkness, while on the other pure light. The irony was palpable. As far as Brachyura was concerned, Noctis managed to dodge the "X" that came flying at him rather easily, but the massive wave of ocean? All he could do was take it and brace for impact, cutting off Prana Leech in the process. The surge tossed him up and back rather far, having a rather strong amount of rage behind it. He was lucky though, The Shaman appeared to still be drawing agro, And luckily she was able to hold it off long enough for his Neomorphism to kick back up from its cooldown. He howled as the miasma tore at his form, as Neomorphism came back into play. Along with his one Miasma Appendage tail, three more sprouted, all of them stretching out behind him to their full 20 meters. In a burst of energy, they seemed to solidify as Obsidian Skin came into effect, shortening them to half their length, and composing them of the same dark and twisted metal that composed his Shackles of the Sentenced, and the chainaxe in his hand. 10 meters would be more than enough. He had had enough, and this fight would be coming to a close. He charged in like a mad beast, and as he neared Brachyura, He leapt into the air, bringing the full force of the level 100 axe in all of its daemonic glory down upon brachyura, letting the chain rip into and through its shell. As he came crashing down, he struck with all four of his Appendages, dealing some smaller amounts of damage and allowing him to rip the axe out of the creature as he flew away, landing rather deftly upon his feet and skidding to a stop. He was so close, he could taste it. Tags: Hirosame @royah Notes: see 2 posts back for picture of chainaxe (imagine an axe with the blade of a chainsaw designed to tear through metal)

The girl smirked, as the monster decided to launch a flurry of physical attacks at her. Royah activated [Shikigami Astral Seal], which was changed now, to become immune to all types of physical damage now. She let the attacks hit her, although she didn't feel a thing. Every attack that struck her caused no damage at all, which she just looked and laughed at the monster about. "Aww, what's the matter, Brachy?" She taunted, flipping the sword up and onto her shoulder. "Can't hurt girls?" This was about when she noticed that the monster used an attack, which created an X-shaped wave, which also did not a lick of damage to her. "Ha! Not even close, baby!" Royah taunted again. It was about this time that Brachyura had begun to cast something, to which she quickly responded.
Flipping the sword in her hands around a few times, she braced herself before the opponent used its Empathiom Sea attack once more. Following up very quickly, though, Brachyura decided to bulldoze ahead of himself, still trying to hurt the Shaman. She was still under the effect of the Astral Seal, and she as only knocked back a ways. At this point, though, she noticed the heretic laying into Brachyura with all that they could with attacks. She decided that she might not even need to hurt this monster any more than she already had, but she found that her previous buff on herself, which increased her attack damage and aggro on hit, seemed to have disappeared. For now, she would play a jerk.
Royah continued to slice away at the monster, dealing whatever damage she could, and continued to taunt the monster. "Think you're mad enough now? Well, just you wait!" She grinned again, looking up at the monster's ugly face. Just wait until you realize you're about to get beat by a girl!" This was a usual taunt that most girls would use when they try to get in the heads of guys. It was usually quite effective, too, as most guys didn't like thinking that girls were much stronger than them. Perhaps this would be enough to send this guy over the edge? She started to laugh at him, as she continued to cut away.

[attr="class","capsol"] Oooooooooooooooh boy. Ooooooooooooooh boy oh boy oh boy. They were making Iron-Belly Brachy REALLY mad now. So mad that he might as well just throw the sea right on top of them. He let out a loud shout, bellowing out into the air.
"Now ye've gone an' done it! Time for you both to meet Davy Jones! Don't care how, why, or where!" Raising up his claws into the sky, he began to charge up an immense amount of energy, as the water all around them began to swirl and swell up and into the air. It climbed higher. Higher. Higher. Higher. And higher still. The waves grew up so high that the tops of them could no longer be seen. Brachy let out another very loud shout, as he finished channeling the spell. "Time for ye both to meet the briny deep! Say howdy to me shipmates that drank too much seawater, why don't ye!?"
He threw his arms down toward the ground, and tried to make a very powerful slam The water then slowly began to fall down from up on high. Brachy wasn't joking around anymore, and these landlubbers needed to be gone. For good. He was very tired of all the pain that they were putting him through, so he decided that now was the absolute best time for him to use his greatest skill, Crab Nebula. The water would continue to fall for a while, until eventually, it will crash onto the ground, causing massive damage to anybody within the area, outside of himself. Serves the scalawags right, for causing Brachy to get this mad.
You will have roughly 5 seconds of movement time, before the wave splashes onto the ground. This skill is his last big attack, and once you have dealt with it, feel free to continue with the fight.

The water would cover the whole field, and he had little if anything to either counteract the damage or protect himself. He would have to hope for the best with one last ditch effort. He would need to make this quick. Triggering Celerity, he would use its effect to quickly fire a full Miasma bullet at Brachyura. It wouldn't damage him, but the corruption would still effect him. He followed by channeling Lying Darkness under the immobile crab, increasing its corruption further. He didn't have any time to dodge. He didn't plan to. While he channeled Lying Darkness, the Miasma Appendages, currently effected by Obsidian Skin, wrapped themselves tightly around the heretic in an attempt to at least mitigate a portion of the damage. It wasn't much of a plan, but it would have to work for now. Upon being struck, he quickly used Tainted Charity on himself in an attempt to preserve his diminished health bar. He hoped that the shaman had a better plan than his. Words: [177] Tags: Hirosame @royah

This was the moment. This was what she had been waiting for. After having heard about the vicious end-game attack that the monster put forth, Royah knew exactly what it was that she had to do. Given that her level had been boosted up now, she knew exactly what skill to use in response to this monster. But, first, she needed to get away. She was close enough to the fountain that she broke into an all out dash for the water of the fountain, where she had found the pebble before. The skill that the monster was using was deafened by being in the water anywhere on or around the island as it was being used, right? The obvious answer from here was to jump into the fountain, and use that as the method by which to avoid an incredible amount of damage. From there, phase two would begin.
Diving into the confines of the water's edge, the girl turned back around and looked up to the surface of the water. She would be mostly safe here, but one last thing needed to happen. She then began to perform a few hand signs, as one would see a ninja perform, and started to cast a spell of her own. [Ultimate Bunker], which she only made the 2x2x2 barrier around herself, would be used to further diminish the strength of the blow. The water would course down on top of the fountain, and she would suffer greatly diminished damage. From what would have caused her an incredibly significant number of damage, despite her being clad in plate armor and fully leveled up for this fight, she still decreased the number to a measly 2% damage. Her theory had worked from here, causing the girl to smirk.
After the attack was done, she resurfaced from the water's edge, her body still glowing with power from her transformation. She wasn't glowing yellow anymore, nor was she invulnerable to physical attacks any longer, as those two skills had finished by now. She climbed out of the water, and stood, looking at Brachyura. A massive, cocky smirk was apparent on her face, as she twirled the sword in her hands around a few times, placing it firmly on her back. "Barely even a scratch, Brachy-chan! That all you can do, old man?" She shouted, tauntingly. Hopping down from the fountain and taking a few more steps out into the open, she held the blade out before herself once more, her defiant grin still formed upon her face. "Geez, they'll call anybody a genius these days!" Laughing as she waited for the next attack by the monster, Royah continued to insult the monster, whose most recent attack did barely anything to her.

[attr="class","capsol"] They... They took the attack. Well, one of them did. The other went so far as to actually both dive into the water of the fountain, and then put up a wall to basically negate a majority of the already would-be reduced damage. The nerve of these blasted kids... THE NERVE! Iron-Belly Brachy wasn't going to stand for this much longer. Iron-Belly Brachy was getting angrier by the minute, and decided to bring out his final resolution. This would be the reckoning that the world would see.
"Nobody..." He started off quietly. "Nobody... Will ever... Say that ol' Iron-Belly Brachy..." His voice exploded into rage, and roared as loud as he could. "WAS EVER BEATEN BY A LASS!!!!" His attacks were centered on the Shaman before him, whipping his claws all around as hard and as fast as he could. The words that the girl spit seemed to hit him pretty hard at this point, and then all that she had done up to then was taunt him, and make his ultimate attack look like it was nothing at all. This would be her final reckoning. This would be the end of the Tank Shaman that Could.
Brachyura jumped up high into the air, angling down at the girl, catching her within the primary shockwave. This would stun her from this point, as he began to lay onto her a barrage of attacks. Megaton Slam, followed up very quickly by a Brilliant Prism on the Shaman, and then a massive outburst of claw-to-claw action. His anger would know no bounds by this time, and nobody will ever say that he was beaten by a girl. This would not stand for him. This would stand for no man. This would not be allowed to happen. Iron-Belly Brachy will not be bested by a little girl. He refused to!

[Note: excluding HP and MP values as i believe at this point they are almost irrelevant] Music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5IEt63qOSIThe tails unfurled from around Noctis, his form rising from within like some unholy birth of Gaia. The crab was on the brink of its life, and was once again distracted by the shaman, launching himself into the air in a n attempt to land on her. He began yelling something about not being beat. Noctis' voice rang out, its low, daemonic but regal tone reverberating off of the walls as he play his trump card: " Its already checkmate." Kane snapped his fingers, causing a shockwave of miasma to pulse through the room, activating Necrotic Corruption upon Brachyura. It was a thing of chaotic beauty really; all of the corruption that he had been slowly weaving into the giant crab-man's soul suddenly activating, tearing him apart in a thousand little black-and-purple lightning storms, instantly tearing apart the very fabric of his being. The battle was long, and it had been fun, but it had all been building up to this point. He always loved seeing his plans come together at the end, all the seemingly meaningless and chaotic movements come crashing together in one final glorious symphony. In a way, it was a ritual that honored the miasma itself, its chaotic but ultimately divine nature. He sat there admiring his work as the Crab faded from existence, a amalgamation of bubbles and disintegrating crab. He had done his part, now to remove the effects from his fellow. He approached the Shaman, clad in her glowing barriers. " You did well. It was a pleasure fighting alongside you." He glanced over at the ground near the fountain and picked a flower out of it. Using the miasma, he charged it with energy, giving it a black and purple iridescence within its petals. He placed the flower in her hair before raising his hand, triggering exocytosis in order to draw any latent corruption he may have spilled out of her and back within the confines of himself. He made his way off as he finished, the dark taint of the miasma beginning to fade as Black Operon was triggered, leaching them back into the depths of Tartarus. His black pinstripe suit slowly came back into view, still as immaculate as ever, and he called his hat from his inventory before placing it too upon his messy hair. Turning his head slightly around as he left, a massive sharp-toothed grin was upon his face. " Catch you around Light-Weaver." His hands in his pockets, he made his way out of the chamber down towards the boats. A huge grin came across Noctis' face. It had been so long since he had been awake, might as well enjoy stretching his legs. Words: [444] Tags: @royah Hirosame

Uh oh. She made Brachy-chan mad. Like she cared, though. Sure, she wasn't able to become invulnerable to all his physical attacks again, but she sure as hell wasn't going to take well to this guy deciding that he could beat the crap out of her. His beat rush seemed like it was rather powerful, but given that she was clad in good enough equipment, and had a high enough level, she was definitely able to stand against this guy's attacks. At least, she thought she could, even with all the strength she had been given. This guy's attacks really did start to hurt after a while, though. She was getting a little annoyed bu how much damage he was doing, and she couldn't lower her guard for even a second. She wanted to cast a few spells on herself, to ease the pain, but there wouldn't be an opening to do so.
This was when the heretic decided to call checkmate on the barnacle bastard, and use a move that she could only explain as an explosion of darkness. The Avatar of Yorishiro watched as the corruption that had been spreading through Brachyura had finally decided to make its mark, wherein it cause an immediately health drop from where it was, down to an explosive 0. The attacks stopped from there, and she began to lower her weapon. That was a considerable amount of damage. So, why didn't the heretic use it earlier? Sure, they might not have been able to phase skip Brachyura's Crab Nebula, but it sure as heck could've saved them a bit of time, had he used that skill earlier.
Either way, though, the heretic seemed to be leaving by this point, putting a black and purple on her head. She cringed a bit, and as soon as the guy was out of view, she pulled it out of her hair and left it on the ground. Gross. She no longer felt the presence of corruption, though, which was nice. It made the air a bit too disgusting for her liking. It was then that she began to feel the strength of the Pebble begin to wane, and her body reverted back to its normal color. Her shikigami was gone by this point, which meant that her Avatar form was now gone. She looked back at Brachyura for a moment, and then turned around to walk away. She had no remorse for killing this monster, though she appreciated the fight. She left the flower there on his decaying body.
