[OVA] [Group] A Sudden Ruin; We Have To Deal With What?!?!?

    After some serious research, Kain's efforts had finally paid off! He had found a few strange hieroglyphic tablets out in one of his more recent expeditions, and it had taken him at least a month of nonstop studying to even decode the things much less figure out what the language then meant. He had poured through mountains of books, strange rituals, word of mouth, every little bit of info he could find. And now he had his results. The tablets told of a dungeon ruin, previously unmarked on the map or even talked about in any quest, and the tablets were the key to revealing it. He went out early to try and find the location. After searching up and down the river and throughout the town, he found a strange cliffside wall with matching marks upon it, and upon placing the pieces in the correct order upon it, the ruins glowed with a strange energy, rejuvenating themselves to form a solid and grand entrance that lead down into the hillside. Not dumb enough to go in alone, he decided instead he would announce his discovery to the world, and request any adventurers brave enough to tackle its unknown depths. Eventually, he recieved some responses as to who would want to venture down with him as the first group, and told them to meet up in the back room of the local tavern to discuss their decent and make the necessary preparations.

With the rest of the group having arrived and seated in the back room, he made his way in, hands shaking with jubilation. "Good news, everyone!" he announced rather happily. "Due to my recent efforts on the field of archaeology, I have uncovered a vast and unknown temple complex that spans deep within the earth of the nearby countryside. It could be full of dangerous traps, vicious monsters, and life-threatening peril! That is why I have offered to share my glory with all of you meatshields-I mean brave adventurers, as we chart these unknown depths and plunder their untold riches! I will not lie, some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice that I am willing to make." As he finished, he clapped his hands and a huge smile crept its way across his face. "So, any questions before we begin?"

The Enchanter felt somewhat out of place. It had been a while since she took that Appearance Reversion potion, which more or less made her look like her previous avatar and actual body. The key difference was the drop in height, which put her on closer footing to Fran. This was the first time any of these people would see her in such a state… except for the fox girl. Katarina was presumably a friend of Dumah or Noctis. All three of them were in the same guild, after all, and she could not imagine Franny being particularly chummy with anyone but the skeleton crew.

Capsule had some reservations about this dungeon run, none of which pertained to its credibility. This was a world set in a popular MMO. There were bound to be dungeons, and even the real world had lesser counterparts. What bothered her most was that the majority of her team was well… they were all a bunch of scrubs, excluding Dumah. The Swashbuckler was still low by her standards, but he -- oh, right. He had much in common with the rest of the group: inefficient gear. The low quality of his gear placed it around level five or so, and she had a horrible feeling that his swords would be better used as a coming paring knife. So aside from her and Noctis, who were wearing decent armor, everyone else was still clad in starter gear. 'Mein Gott...' A dungeon run outside of Windsor with this bunch? They were as good as dead.

She sat in silence as the animated Heretic prattled on, not offering more than a deadpanned expression. "Yeah, I expect the lot of you to die on the first wave." Oh boy, did she have a lot of questions for this sorry lot. "Are any of you properly prepared for this expedition? Avon has plenty of monsters that could easily wipe the lot of you out." She held up fingers as she began to count them off. "Malicious Snowmen, Snowfield Bears, Night Wolves, the Decayed Dendron, or perhaps even a Crystal Reindeer." If the dungeon was as dangerous as Noctis claimed, one would not find common monsters or cute little penguins dancing about. Just look at Warwick Castle or the Miasma Realms.

"I am not trying to sound like a Debbie Downer here, but you all should be mentally prepared for whatever may spawn while we are in there. For example, the Malicious Mech GR-1 can call for assistance by expelling miasma. But its nature also changes when sparring against an individual with Corruption." Her eyes flickered briefly upon the Heretic. Better hope Corrupt Signal was not active at the same time. "I will be able to negotiate with most monsters, if things get too hectic. Just not Black Essence. They are… incredibly stupid." That passive was annoying.

The Enchanter stretched her arms above her head, stifling an infectious yawn. "I have no questions aside from that." Capsule was usually prepared to deal with any circumstance, be it by use of skills, potions, or just on the spot shenanigans. She had never run an instance with Dumah or Franny, and knew nothing about Katarina, other than what the system info told her. For all she knew, Dumah could get drunk and Leeroy Jenkins into a pack of Night Wolves. And was Katarina a decent healer? Only time would tell.
