Capsule Saber Empyrean Tobin Verin Akira kittygrey The labyrinth that trailed off from the path designated as B by the Adventurers is a route that requires a bit of athletic ability. The corridor ahead cuts off completely, leaving only narrow pillars for individuals to cross. Despite the orderly arrangement of the path, you notice that some of these pillars appear more stable than another. Stepping onto an unstable pillar will likely cause you to slide right off, having to climb up a small ledge at the entrance to get back up. It would appear this is but only a sample of what you'll need to accomplish later on. It only seems that this is the easiest point of the route.

Do You Believe in Ghosts?
The icy air bit at Saber’s face as Rayne pushed on, the two of them charging ahead without a single glance back as they moved down the passage. Saber blinked and glanced over his shoulder, the other room shrinking rapidly as his companion paved the way. Rayne’s headed paws melted the snow each time they touched down, leaving slush in their wake. The others would catch up and if they didn’t, oh well. His eyes were on the prize, as they always were, but this time there was a bit more than just that; Saber wanted answers. Fenrir was the beginning of a story and due to no one ever coming back from the land of being kidnapped; the second act was an unknown. Being the warrior-scholar that he was, the need to expose the rest of the tale burned like a flame in Saber’s chest. With Fenrir dead and the cave collapsed, the only real thing Saber could do was to go forward; right into the mouth of the trap.
‹Anotha job, eh?› Rayne huffed, looking over his shoulder towards the Assassin for a brief moment before looking forward again. The Assassin let out a huff and nodded. He leaned down towards his Fire Dog, gripping at Rayne’s fur tightly. Indeed, this was just another job for the Mercenary. This time though, there would be no payment. His reward would be getting out of here. Yet there was something tugging at him. This place… it was quiet. Sure, he had no doubts that this was some kind of trap pit that would lure Saber and the others into some place to die, but he couldn’t sense anything. This place was far too quiet to his liking. That feeling only grew worse as Rayne closed in on a fork ahead of them. The large passage came to an end, splitting in the center and leading to two differentl directions.
‹…’Course.› The curt sneer came out like a bark from Rayne as his forward motion came to an end. Saber grimaced at the choice and jumped off the Fire Dog’s back. His boots landed in the snow with a crunch. A heavy exhale was turned to mist as the Elf stared towards the two passages. After staring, expecting something to come out of them, Saber moved forward and looked down both. The two passages led down into the darkness and out from within, he could feel a cool breeze. The Assassin ground his teeth and wiggled his nose, visibly annoyed yet he would not be frightened by a simple decision. What did help, however, was the fact that the two stairways led in the same direction; down and straight.
‹Left. You go right. At the bottom of the stairs, check your surroundings. If you find yourself trapped or if the path veers off, return and come to the left.› Saber called to Rayne and did not look back to the Fire Dog as he descended the stairs. Rayne huffed his acknowledgement and the animal-warrior bounded down the other passage, his flames burning brighter as he readied to fight anything that he may come across. Rayne had leveled quickly with Saber, so he was quite formidable now. Even Saber might have a hard time with Rayne if the Fire Dog ever turned on him. That was why he trusted him with this. If Rayne got into trouble, he was strong enough to get out of it. Not only that, but he was no fool.
But, that was what Saber feared the most. As he walked down the stairs, the thought of Rayne becoming too bold for his own abilities sent a feeling of fear through his mind. Out of all the people Saber had met and all of the companions he had made, Rayne was one of his closest. The Fire Dog had been through numerous battles with the Assassin and had saved him several times. He wouldn’t rather have anyone else beside him when facing a powerful boss. If he lost Rayne because of something stupid, Saber’s rage would boil over and he doubted he would recover in one piece from whatever would happen. Yet, he trusted his companion. Rayne was no push-over and he was no fool. There was no need to worry.
With that in mind, Saber steeled himself as he stepped forward. His footsteps echoed loudly as he walked down the stone staircase, ice crackling and breaking beneath his heels, snow turning into powder with the kick of his toes. The path ahead of him was dark, quiet, and only the feeling of a steady breeze gave the Assassin any idea of where he was going. The draft let Saber know that there was a room ahead. The strength of it told him that he was a large one, and that didn’t help his conscious; a large room? It left potential for a boss, and that fact made Saber’s eyes sharpen. Right, he was in enemy territory. He had to be ready.
Suddenly, there was a brief sound of a familar howl from behind Saber and the Assassin paused in his descent, looking over his shoulder towards the entrance. It was a long call and it rang deep into Saber’s skull as he tried to decipher it, but then he heard it echo out from in front of him as well. He snapped back straight and then hurried forward, picking up his feet until he was bounding down the steps four at a time. They were slick, but the Assassin glided down them with ease. His footprints marked his path and ice shattered with his weight. Rayne’s howl echoed out louder as Saber moved and the Fire Dog seemed to strangely be getting closer. The howl ended for a brief moment before sounding off again; it was a beacon. Rayne called Saber forward and as the stairs ended, Saber found himself in another tunnel. He darted forward, pounding through the rock walls in haste towards a distant exit. The strength of the breeze smashed against his face, causing his eyes to squint lest they dry out.
Within seconds, Saber came to a halt at a ledge. He burst out from the tunnel and stopped hard, his left foot stomping to the floor like a brake. He stared ahead, his eyes taking in the sight of dozens of pillars. Then, he heard a bark. He looked right and spotted Rayne; the Fire Dog stood at another ledge just a few paces off. So, it didn’t matter which way they took did it?
‹Took ya long nuff!› Rayne barked, a grin crossing his snout. Saber huffed and sucked in a short breath, refilling his burning lungs as he looked forward. The room was massive, indeed, and opened up wide. The walls were spread several hundreds of meters apart and the ceiling was almost out of sight. The floor was beyond where his eyes could see and was nothing but blackness; falling meant death. In the center of the room, pillars dotted the space between where Saber and Rayne were and where the potential exits were. Great. What didn’t help was the fact that not all of the pillars looked stable; some were also coated in a layer of ice. They would be slick.
‹No choice. Forward. Watch yourself. Loser gets dinner.› Saber ordered his companion to move and Rayne’s grin widened. Rayne accepted the challenge and turned his eyes forward towards the pillars. For him, his size and claws would allow him to dig into the pillars. Even if he slipped or fell, Rayne could recover. Saber, on the other hand, would have a harder time. He would have to move quick and wouldn’t have a lot of time for breaks.
‹On you, Elfboi…› Rayne rumbled, conceding the call to start their challenge with a bold rumble. Saber grinned beneath his scarf and pulled out his two daggers; they would save him if he fell. He took a ready stance, his right foot sliding behind him as he readied to jump. Rayne lowered his body, his muscles flexing powerfully beneath his flaming fur. The two remained still, like statues, in their spring-like poses. Saber drew in one breath, two breaths, three… And then his heart thudded loudly.
‹Go.› He lunged forward, snow powdering beneath him and a smokecloud blasting out beneath him. Hazecloud keyed and the Assassin surged forward into the pillars. Rayne barked loudly, his masculine roar echoing down the tunnels and throughout the room. Both of them soared easily through the air, their bodies flying over the first pillar. Saber landed first, his feet slipped. He cursed and stabbed a blade into the ice, catching himself and turning left; bad pillar. He quickly stopped his momentum and then moved left, jumping over to the furthest off to the left side. Rayne let out a whimper as he landed on the third pillar up. His feet didn’t stick as well as he thought and the Fire Dog nearly fell off. Saber narrowed his eyes and watched the dog pull himself back up. Well, this wouldn’t be as easy as they thought.

As if the night, or day, or whatever time it was in the cursed cave, couldn't get any worse, instead of being caught or stopped by anyone in the group, Ame managed to fall on her bottom and slide right through the group. Her eyes widened as she saw the wall coming up fast, her mouth dropped and she let out a gasp and braced herself for impact. That impact never came however. She had somehow managed to twist her body and was now sliding down a set of stairs. She let out a scream as she heard the howls and as she thudded further down the stairs, she saw the beast. It was a large creature and she was heading straight for it. She feared she would be met by it's teeth, ready to swallow her up whole, though she knew she was being dramatic. The beast wasn't that big. It was only as she slid closer to it, she realized it had it's back turned from her and was seemingly getting ready to jump. Perhaps there was another adventurer that it was about to swallow. She prayed for that adventurer.
As she reached the bottom of the stairs, she slammed her feet down and managed to stand, somehow stopping the sliding. She now stood behind the beast and it took of, landing and almost falling off of a pillar. She raised a brow and rubbed at her sore bottom as she scanned the room. Great, the night just got worse for her. As if her bottom wasn't sore enough, she would have to jump icy pillars and pray that she chose a stable one. The side she had come down on seemed safe enough, but she casted her eyes to the left. As she looked to the other side of the room and saw the assassin, her head tilted and she instantly knew what the creature was. It wasn't a foe, but a friend. She let out a sigh of relief and smiled a small bit. They were both jumping the pillars and she knew that they were racing. Of course they were. She was sure he had heard her scream, but he hadn't seen her yet. She wondered if she could catch up or just call out to him. She crinkled her nose and thought about the possibilities of calling out. He would probably slip and fall, or stumble onto an unstable pillar and, well, fall. She shook her head. She wouldn't say anything until they were on the other side, for his well being.
She looked to her right, seeing Rayne and then back to her left, seeing Saber. It seemed as though they had both chose the wrong pillars. She let out a huff and stared at the pillars before her. She stepped in front of the middle row and figured it was probably her best bet, though if it were anything like any other puzzle games, she was definitely doomed. She shook her head and shuffled her feet, picking them up into a light run. She couldn't burst forward like the other two so she would have to take it one at a time. She took a deep breath and slid in a jump off the edge, landing directly in the middle of the first middle pillar. She steadied her feet and pushed her arms out to either side to balance herself. She swallowed hard and listened for signs of cracking or that the pillar was going to fall and she with it. After a few moments, she took a breath, realizing that her luck had somehow struck and she had made it onto a stable pillar. She looked to the left and studied the pillar. Instantly, she saw a crack. With a shake of her head she looked to the right. It seemed alright, but she wasn't quite sure about it. She studied the one in front of her and narrowed her eyes at it. "It can't be.." Her voice was a whisper as she leaped forward, landing on the pillar directly in front of her. It seemed as though she was safe, for the moment anyways. [attr="class","solcap"] Capsule could not help but feel a little selfish right now. It failed to inspire feelings of guilt, either, despite her class being that of the support role. It was her responsibility to look out for the group, and ensure that their foes were hindered by crowd control, and her allies buffed. But right now, all she could think of was herself, and by extension, Aleksei. The bear silently glowered at the others as they funneled out of the corridor and into a room that reminded her of a frozen combat training simulator.
Before them was a soft pit, lined with snow. Out of the snow rose several pillars, many of which appeared to be unstable. Capsule's eyes flashed as she took in the scene. She was not the greatest freerunner, but she knew when a path was safe and when it wasn’t. A clear path formed in her mind as she counted out the pillars. The pillar smack dab in the middle was the obvious choice, but she would have to cross the unstable ones to reach it… That should pose little trouble for her, though she could not say the same of the others.
She dug her boots into the icy steps, green eyes watching Saber, Kitty, and the fire squirrel dog progress. All three seemed successful in their landings, though the dog seemed close to slipping off. Of course; its paws were not designed for traversing the ice, unlike her polar bear or reindeer. Capsule glanced over to the massive bear guarding her back. He would not fare too well on the pillars, however. He needed to be able to hop around like a spring chicken, and polar bears were not known for their great agility. They could jump eight feet out of water to startle prey, but moving about in water was different. No, she would need Kasper for this task.
«Sorry, Alek, but I need you to sit out for a while.» The bear offered little resistance. He shrugged his large shoulders and just sat back, waiting for her to desummon him. It was rather obvious that he was not too enthusiastic about pillar hopping, either. In that brief lull of bestial absence, Capsule considered using her hoverboard. The only thing stopping her from doing so was that the board functioned closer to the ground, and she had not dared to test it from such heights -- aside from mountains, but she always stuck close to the terrain. Besides… she lacked the ice element enhancement.
The space behind her became less oppressive as her majestic Crystal Reindeer appeared. Silent and noble Kasper dipped his head in acknowledgement. He had to lower himself a little more to allow her to climb onto his back, but she did it! «You see those pillars? We are going to go intercept the fire dog.» Saber was on the other side of the room, so reaching him would be problematic.
Orders given, the great reindeer soared through the air and landed effortlessly on an icy pillar. He did the same with the next and the following pillar, coming to a stop between and a pillar forward of Kitty and the dog. A small chunk of ice crumbled and fell to the ground, though the reindeer remained unperturbed. He was born in the ice, learned to walk on it, and lived in it for most of his life. Kasper turned his head to eye the dog with cool disdain. It was a gaze that said Get good, scrub. Once actually inside Corridor B and being pretty much blown off by the two red headed adventurers she had wanted to team up with. The short haired one had run off and Akira was by no means happy and the other one had given her what could only be taken as an extremely curt and not giving a damn reply or whatever that was called. Akira pouted and turned away from the longhaired redhead and ran up a little further along the corridor until she saw giant icy pillars that looked like they would require a lot of jumping. Akira facepalmed and sighed. This would certainly prove to be a huge pain in the butt. Upon further staring at the pillars she could see that many of the pillars could be extremely unstable and that also there were several players, and two players had some sort of pets on pillars too. They seemed to be a crystal reindeer and a fire dog. Which in retrospect was honestly some extreme stupidity on the player who owned the fire dog. Why the hell would anyone put that kind of dog on pillars made of ice was completely beyond her. Aside from the point Akira from seeing the other players already on the move she would need to start jumping along the pillars and get a move on soon. Akira smiled. The jumping would be a complete pain in the ass especially if she ended up jumping onto an unstable pillar and having to go all the way back up to the beginning and all that other stuff. However, the fact that she’d be on ice pillars seemed kind of fun. Akira looked out once more at the players in order to decide where she should jump first and hopefully not jump on an unstable pillar. One blonde foxtail, a bit like her, was on the middle pillar of the second row that was directly in front of Akira. The only male player in the room seemed to be on the pillar that was one pillar away from the foxtail girl and on the said girl’s left side. The fire dog had the exact opposite spot as the male player. Lastly, the crystal reindeer or whatever it was seemed to be in the middle of the the dog and the blonde girl except its pillar was on the next row. Akira quickly considered her options. She didn’t think she’d be able to jump all the way to the third row so that left the second row. Which would mean that she could either jump onto the pillar between the foxtail and the dog or she could jump onto the pillar between the foxtail and the boy. After about five minutes passed she opted to go for the pillar between the male adventurer and the female foxtail girl. In all honesty Akira chose it because she didn’t trust the fire dog one bit. And she wouldn’t want to be anywhere near that dog when it’s fieryness ended up destroying the pillar it was one because there was always the option that if any of the pillars fell they would knock into another pillar causing both pillars to fall. Domino effect would more than likely be the correct term for it. Akira backed up quite a ways before she started running full throttle and jumped. Akira wished and hoped desperately that she ended up making it to the pillar. She watched the pillar carefully until she landed on it extremely clumsily and on her face. A few bits of ice fell off the pillar when she landed on the pillar due to how hard she and her face had hit the pillar . “ Owwww…” Akira fumbled until she was in a standing position and not close to falling off the pillar. She rubbed her cheek and grumbled. “ Damn that hurts. Worst jump ever.” she said out loud to herself. Akira looked around again and smiled. At least she had made it onto the pillar even if she had landed on her face. Whatever got her to the pillar worked. She looked at the foxtail girl on the pillar next to her and smiled at the girl. “ I’m Akira!” After introducing herself to the girl Akira whipped around to introduce herself to the male but decided not to. She didn’t like the way he looked. Akira quickly turned forward and started looking at the different pillars in front of her. Following the group that had formed at the beginning of the corridor Verin still pondered what the other older red-head had said about this being a dream. Of course it would easily explain why Verin had awoken in such a dazzling place and people he knew being here helped support the theory, but there was also people he didn't know which wasn't that uncommon in his dreams. Also looking back at his memory all he remembered was entering just entering his house and he didn't do anything exhausting that day either. Puzzled by the last fact Verin looked for a better solution to his situation than it just being all a dream as he walked and soon enough he came to one that while more shaky than it all being a dream. Instead of this all being a dream instead Verin hypothesized that world had something to do with it and he had been teleported to where he had woken up, but soon enough all thoughts of his theory were winked away as the group reached a set of stare cases.
Moving near the back of the group Verin watched as first Saber and his hound went and tried both ways and then Kitty went on a tumble and took to the right. After Kitty was the red-head from earlier took to the stairs and soon after the blonde from earlier made her choice leaving only Verin, Tobin, and one other to make their decision. Looking at it half jokingly Verin decided since he was right-handed he would go with the right stare case and proceeded on his way. Making his way downwards Verin reached a small platform at the end of the stares and saw what the group would be facing. The entire room was a pit filled with a layer of snow at the bottom and protruding from the same area was a group of ice pillars which varied in how stable they were.
Glossing over how everyone was Verin saw that Saber, his hound, and the blonde from earlier had most likely chosen wrong and were now at the the bottom, meanwhile Kitty and the other red-head had seemed to have gotten it correct. Looking at the three pillars Verin could get to without any trouble he decided to go with the one on the left and behind Kitty. Leaping across with ease to to his Acrobat sub-class Verin landed on his chosen pillar and found it was stable enough for Verin to stand on. Motivated Verin looked at the next four pillars and then immediately threw out the ones to the left as they seemed to just be unlucky as both Saber and the blonde hadn't found themselves on the pillars they wished to be on. Turning back towards the other red-head and Kitty, Verin decided to go with the one diagonally right as the pillars seemed two small to hold more than one person with one hundred percent certainty. Lunging across Verin found himself again safe and even more motivated and decided to leap diagonally right again as he still felt uncomfortable with going left, the older red head occupied the pillar in front of him with here crystal reindeer down below her, and Saber's hound was down below the pillar to Verin's right. Landing safely once again Verin decided to push his luck and after immediately landing put force in his legs once more and landed on the pillar once in front of him. Feeling tired from the amount of jumping Verin sat down on top of the pillar and smiled down to Saber's dog with a gleeful spark in his eyes.

Do You Believe in Ghosts?
Saber let out a low huff and knelt down on his pillar, his body steady and carefully balanced as the stone below his feet showed signs of crumbling. If he had remained on Rayne’s back, the entire thing would have collapsed. Thankfully he had chosen otherwise and he was safe for the moment. Rayne didn’t look as comfortable standing where he was either though, but the massive claws Rayne had in his paws stuck out like well-sharpened razor blades. Once the Fire Dog had realized his mistake of misjudging the ice, he was set in fine. Both of them had slipped up, but they wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. After his first jump, Saber had felt the way the ice shifted beneath his feet and could see the difference between the pillars in the room. He hadn’t looked as closely before just jumping out and now he realized his error. Not only that, but he found himself in a tough spot. The side of the room Saber was in was poorly made. The pillars between where he knelt and the exit across the room were all weak, especially the one directly in front of him. Too much weight and they’d give out in an instant, leaving Saber falling into the pit below. He didn’t exactly know what lay below and he didn’t plan on finding out. But if he rushed, he might find out sooner rather than later. As he looked over towards Rayne, he noticed that side was better built and the pillars were in much more stable conditions; Rayne had it easy. Saber snarled at the sight, of course he had it easy. Saber just had to be put in the bad spot, as usual. The Fire Dog had the advantage, but what would he do with it…? * * * Rayne snarled, the bastard pillar beneath him cracked as his body firmly spread itself out on top of it. The Fire Dog was uncomfortable here, in this chilled land, but he was bound to the Elf across from him. Rayne understood the situation and Saber needed him, and so he was here. The Elfboi was a reliable partner and they had fought many battles together, but this? This was ridiculous. Rayne would rather fight another one of those pathetic wolf pups than jump on this ice crap. Jesus, what did Saber expect him to do here? Tip toe his way from one place to the next? Seriously, the hell. Rayne snarled and let out a hot breath, flames billowing from his throat as he glared over at Saber. The Elfboi was lost in thought it seemed and his eyes scanned the pillars. He was a crafty man, and Rayne understood why some of the other creatures came to fear him. His sharp eyes, quick and strategic thinking, and the violence that came from his blades; they were all traits that only a well-trained murderer had. Rayne was lucky that Saber hadn’t skinned him when they met at Thule. ‹Wondah what yer thinkin’ now… Elfboi…› Rayne tried to follow the Elfboi’s eyes, tracking where he was looking; the pillars? What of them? They were covered in ice and some were in worse shape than other—Wait. Rayne looked back at Saber, and then down towards his own pillar; both were thick with ice and weakened. Next, Rayne checked the pillar he initially landed at. It was sturdy, its frame still mostly intact. The one to his right was the same, as was the one between the two. The one on Rayne’s left was the opposite. It looked as if it would fall if he even dared to breathe on it. Rayne grinned and looked back at the Elfboi. Even now, the Elf was putting a plan together. Rayne could only wonder what those thoughts looked like. How many times had Saber replayed himself going through this room already? How many times had he seen himself fail? How many lanes had he seen himself succeed in? At that moment, Rayne knew; even though Saber was surrounded by crumbling and bad pillars, he was in the worse position. ‹And that is why I follow you.› Rayne let out a huff and prepared to move again, but the sound of other people coming caught his attention. The Fire Dog let out a bark, the sound echoing out like a signal to the Elf and he looked back towards where they had come. From the stairway-tunnel, the others finally arrived. ‹Took ‘em long e’nuff…›* * * Rayne’s bark snapped Saber from his thoughts and his head jerked, his eyes instantly locking onto the Fire Dog. Rayne nodded towards the doors, which Saber’s eyes snap to immediately in response. A pleasant, and surprising sight filled his view; Kitty? Why was she here? He hadn’t seen her before, then again he didn’t really pay attention. Saber had been knocked hard by Fenrir at the end of the fight so his senses weren’t exactly at their best. Still, he hoped she had been okay during that, or that she arrived after it had finished. Shortly after Kitty arrived, a few others did as well. One she recognized; Capsule. He narrowed his eyes a little and wondered what she would do. He had seen that she was an Animal Tamer like he was, but what of that Bear? The massive polar creature wouldn’t do well here… The others? One was familiar but he could not recall the young man’s name. The other was an unknown. At the moment though, their names and faces were unnecessary details. Saber focused on his current position and watched quietly as they all began to move. Kitty went first, hopping forward cautiously and then once more to the second row. No troubles befell her, to Saber’s content but he didn’t shout out any cheers. The end was still a ways off. Just as Kitty was comfortable, Saber spotted Capsule making her move. Not to his surprise, she made use of her Animal Taming skills as well and leisurly moved forward on the back of a Reindeer. He let out a huff. Cheater. He narrowed his eyes, watching the gracefulness of the Ice-Creature as it moved between the pillars with ease. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Rayne scoff. His tails whisked behind him. The Reindeer ended its movements by landing at a pillar just in front of Rayne and to his left; it was stable. Saber then checked Kitty’s, as well as the one she had jumped on initially; both were firm. So, that was the trick. Good thing he was on the worst side. Just as the other two began to move, Saber turned his eyes forward and focused on his own path forward. He wasn’t as lucky as them and his trek forward wouldn’t be easy. But, he was ready. Saber drew in a slow breath and calmed himself, letting his heart rate slow as he relaxed his body and mind. The grip on his daggers steadied, tightened, and then firmed as his knuckles tensed up. A moment later, Saber’s eyes flashed open and he moved. Saber lunged forward through the air and jumped up briskly, almost shooting straight forward off his pillar. His body zipped over the next and the ice caused his momentum to continue almost undisturbed, but it also gave him another platform to step off. With ease, his body leaned off the edge of the slick pillar and then his legs kicked off. He soared over the next one and landed against the side of the one across from it. His blades stabbed into the ice and his body slammed into it, the force of the hit forcing air out of his lungs. Saber grunted. But, he wasn’t safe; the pillar lurched and the rocks that made it up crumbled. Saber’s eyes opened and he planted his feet on the edge of the rocky surface as it started to fall. He summoned forth a doppleganger quickly and his duo laced his fingers together. Saber stepped and his doppleganger flung him into the air. As the pillar fell, Saber flipped backwards and landed on the pillar he had missed. He landed on his toes and eased his body onto it. It was sturdy but if he dared to move from its central point, it would fall. Saber looked forward and watched as the pillar in front of him fell into the darkness, landing with a vicious crash below. Seconds later, one rematerialized as the system placed another trap. The new pillar wasn’t much better than the last. “Thank you Icarus…” Saber mumbled to himself as he steadied himself. A low growl sounded off to his right and Saber looked over to see that Rayne was on the move as well… * * * ‹Whatchu lookin’ at, Ice Princess?› Rayne scoffed as the Raindeer looked at him. His orange fur began to glow. Irritation built up in his body as he saw how easily the other animal had moved. With its pretty little hooves, moving on this ice must’ve been real easy. Hah, Rayne didn’t need hooves to beat this maze. Quickness and a brain would get him through. But, he wasn’t going to let the Reindeer just walk by him. Rayne smirked and steadied his body; he wondered… how quick was that other being? With a bark, Rayne’s claws tore through the ice, shattering the thick layers with ease as he moved. As his body soared forward through the air, he looked to the left and fire glowed in his mouth; Fire Blast erupted from his snout and blasted through the air, striking the pillar at the Reindeer’s feet. Whether he hit the other creature Rayne didn’t bother worrying over. He was simply going to make things difficult for the bastard for looking down on him. After his quick strike, the Fire Dog landed firmly on the next pillar and then glanced over his shoulder, whisking his tail behind him brazenly. His claws dug into the ice, splitting them with a loud, crackling and popping sound as he easily locked himself down. Once his attack was off, he turned his eyes forward and jumped to the next pillar. It was steady, easy, and Rayne took advantage of it. As he landed, he looked behind him and sprouted another Fire Blast as the pillar he was just at, targeting the ice. Upon impact, the top layer melted and became extremely wet and slick. Sure, the pillar was steady, but it would not be extremely easy to balance on anymore. Once he had done so, Rayne jumped backwards and latched onto the next pillar behind him, making room for one of the other Adventurers that had appeared; the red head taking up space between Rayne and the Reindeer. With that space, Rayne fired off another Fire Blast, striking the pillar directly in front of the Reindeer as well. Rayne let out a snarl and glared at the Icy Bastard. ‹Rayne!› Saber’s demanding voice echoed through the room and Rayne looked over to see the glaring eyes of his partner. They were quite threatening, and as Saber nodded towards the others in the room, Rayne understood; if he wanted to fight, now wasn’t the time as there would be collateral damage and others would get in the middle of it. But, Saber wasn’t the one who got the look, was he? Coded By Saber of L33T T3@M Modified by KittyGrey

As the others approached and began jumping pillars, Ame watched closely, paying attention to who was going where and who looked safer than the rest. Capsule, a girl she was becoming more friendly with since their first meeting with the creepy Slender Man quest, was the first to move. She was seeing a bit more of her, now that they shared the same guild and she wasn't disappointed. The girl was a seriously cool chick and she found herself looking up to her more and more each time they spoke. Not to mention, her animals were amazing, the ones she had met so far. Really, she had only met her dog, but he had been such a cutie and had instantly taken a liking to her, and her to him. Looking at her reindeer pet, she knew that the Enchanter had quite the arsenal at her beckon and she would admit to being quite jealous. She loved her own pets, but she hadn't remained an animal trainer long enough to continue to acquire more powerful animals, but she was fine with the two she had. She knew she would have to make a play date one day. Mamori would appreciate it, but Spoticus would probably disagree. He would just have to deal with it though.
She watched the pillar that Capsule had landed on and took note of the pillar beside her. Before she could make her move, she was called out to from the pillar beside her and with a quick glance, she found the smiling face of another blonde fox tail. She lifted her hand and waved before calling out, "Hi Akira! I'm Kitty! Follow behind me, I think I know the way!" She jumped to the pillar to her right and looked forward to Capsule. She was about to jump, then another face she recognized found their way ahead of them. She watched his movements and nodded. She definitely knew most of the way now. She jumped onto the pillar where Capsule and her reindeer were and had a hard time adjusting, finding her two hands resting on the reindeer as she looked up to Capsule. "Hey Cap!" With that, she looked to the pillar to her right. She nodded as she studied it and then instantly jumped to it. She slipped as she landed and nearly fell off, but after a balancing act, she found herself safe, for the moment anyways.
Looking ahead at Verin, she studied his pillar, but a roar behind her caused her to look back and her eyes widened. She noticed the cute squirrel calling out, though without her Tongue of Nature ability activated she had no clue what words were being said. She could tell he was seriously upset though and after hearing Saber call out in Rayne's tongue, her eyes cast to him and she tilted her head. In that moment, she let her curiosities get the better of her and she activated the skill as she jumped to the pillar that Verin stood on. "Long time no see Verin. Lead the way please!" She smiled wide, allowing him to go first. It was a sneaky trick, allowing the others to go ahead, but she had hurt herself enough already in the icy scapes, she figured she deserved to not get hurt again, at least not for a while. She hoped for the best of him as she waited for him to move. She quickly glanced to her left and found Saber. She smirked and then looked back at the rest of the group. She spotted Akira, hopefully moving her way up to where she was. Then to Cap, who she figured would follow her lead and finally to Rayne. His fur was still standing up in the air, but he still looked so cute. She wondered what could have gotten him so riled up. Coded By Saber of L33T T3@M Modified by KittyGrey

(OOC: I might edit this post on feel, broad strokes are down. I fell asleep last night while writing this. but whatever is here will do.) WC: 1009 The great underground tunnels amplified the chatter of boots and soles into a rumble of thunder that seemed to carry an energy that filled the void. It's ambiance journey made louder by the lack of vocalisation between many of the adventurers ahead, the Dwarf included. After all tunnel's like these always brewed a sense of unease within him, somewhat ironic considering his race, but to him these rough caved hallows of stone and ice carried a hint of threat. Perhaps the wall itself bore no sentimental feeling yet small hallowed tunnels didn't exist naturally; artificial tunnels were always designed with sinister purposes. There were two things that Tobin found particularly irritating in life; being ignored (which was understandable) and being made a fool of (Self inflicted). Well, the latter was amusing half the time, but far as he was concerned whomever had taken them were the other half. By the time Tobin had caught up the party from where he had been buried, they had more or less navigated a route across the cavernous halls with very few mistakes, Tobin frowned; this all seemed too easy for his liking, as though a map had been presented before them. “These adventurers are so quick these days.”
He muttered absentmindedly to himself as he began to cross; thankfully despite the fairly smooth surface his heavy boots bit into the ground as be vaulted pillar to pillar, there was just enough give in the crumblier top layer to allow him to menvour comfortably as he cleared ground, twisted and vaulted across the pillar, despite his lack of height he made light of the journey as he followed the path that they divined through the great high chamber. At least until he saw exactly what the flashes were; at how once the rough surface glistened with moist droplets that crowned the pillar with a translucent sheen. The Dwarf’s gaze flicked to the pillar, then back to the creature, then back to the pillar, then back to it. He glanced at the red headed kid, she was now riding a reindeer, he looked back to the Wolf, then back to her, then over to saber, then back to the wolf. It was on fire. Tobin saw red*. “What, the **** ARE YOU DOING! Is the methane getting’ ta ya head? Because YA **** FA BRAINS STINKS FROM OVER HERE! First something tossed me, then…”The Dwarf’s entire frame quivered with un-expelled fury, his mouth worked wordlessly as his maddened gaze shimmered like blue fire. After waking up somewhere unfamiliar being tossed into an avalanche, his patience had run out. Without further pause, he flung himself across the gap onto the platform. How slippy was wet ice? Imagine a slip slide. As soon as he hit the safe platform his bulk slid, his arms and legs scratched against the unyeilding ground as the smooth surface offered no traction to his gripping fingers. The Dwarf roared as he forced his own face into the unyielding chill as he slid over the edge, an instinctive mental call issued to his companion. << Summon boars now.>>In mid-air, underneath him materialised a boar of gigantic proportions, almost half as broad larger than a horse and half as tall, it was half a ton of muscle and fat and as soon as it came into being, it began to squeal as it too summoned more boars. Clearly, the absence of floor hadn’t been mentioned beforehand. <<Sons, come to- TOBIN! TWHERREISFLOOR-->> The Dwarf crashed down and with a bound flew up above the platform, tucked under under each broad arm grasped as his arms squealing boar, a bellow drove them face down into the ground, the ice crackled but remains firm as their tusks became imbedded into the centre of the platform to anchor his frame firm. Even now however, his mouth was ever in motion with breathless, barely audible mutterings. “lik’ back in Ary’cn, alwaehs me who solved thur issues, wondur who’s gonna thank me? It’s lik’ I said, toss me once, I’mma Dwarf, twice? A feckin’ salad, decorative, superficial greenery to decorate evereh happeh meal…”Even so, The Dwarf clicked a finger and like that all the pork scratchings disappeared and struck the floor firmly with a -tiger echo fist- that blew away the fractured surface and water, leaving a platform that was half a meter as tall as it was, but at least it the freshly broken ground was easier to grip. After a quick examination he grunted and vaulted up to Verin ’s/ kittygrey 's platform, taking any assistance offered he rose up and clocked the wolf… and shrugged as the light changed in his eyes, instead his gaze flicked away. Whatever had prompted him to action was suddenly dismissed as a trivial occurrence. It was most strange, the Dwarf scratched the back of his neck as though now feeling somewhat awkward. After all, Tobin respected Saber , just being summoned here, tossed…. He was just being grumpy AND this author is really tired and is not writing much sense any more. His manner more mumbling then that usual jolly performance he put on. “Alriite, everbodeh up, should be straight forward froam ‘ere. Nothin’ else ta see ‘ere, unless aneh body else has any ideas… Well, dun’t. Please, I just wok’ up. Dem hangovers ‘re killa, ya know wha’ I’mma sayin’. Ahahah!”He paused at the pillar and extended his arm out as magnet grip to help the adventurers up onto his ledge one by one as they moved on,. Though when he hauled capsule up his eyebrow twitched, the face seemed familiar enough, though he hadn’t ever seen it without putting a kink in his neck. The hair was more wild, yet it was the eyes that finally made it click. He had seen that gaze long ago. That terrified, yet curious hue that remained firmly in his memory as the twi- “Noaw Capsule , I’ve heard about weight loss classes, but losing nearly a foot of height? Ya take it ta tha’ next level. Or down the next level, somethin’ lik’ tha’.”

[attr="class","solcap"] For the first time she could recall, Kasper was tensing up, and not in a poise to spring. The reindeer was feeling indignant by the words uttered by the fire dog. Ice Princess. The cool reindeer may not have been the talkative sort, but it was usually the quiet ones you had to watch out for. Kasper was definitely the sort to lash out from nowhere, but as long as the fire dog did not try anything, the ice deer would not--
Capsule’s eyes widened in disbelief as the leaping fire dog turned his head to spit a ball of flames their way. The little shit! Kasper grunted, a sound that was close to a growl. He hopped a few fee straight into the air, avoiding the ball of flame that licked at their pillar. And then the cheeky little mutt set the pillar in front of them aflame, as well. The tension in the room grew thick enough to slice with a knife.
Kasper landed on the pillar, his body trembling slightly as he tried to ignore the light burning sensation around his hooves. Aleksei might have laughed it off and teased the fire dog; he was a bear and had a skin as thick as his furry coat. Kasper, on the other hand, was very proud. No one had made a fool of him until now, and he would definitely not forget this incident. His head lowered, as if ready to charge. Had it not been for Saber or Kitty, the reindeer might have done something uncouth, like charging at and stunning the dog.
And then came Skit, landing awkwardly on the pillar now inhabited by Verin and Kitty. Both Adventurers had thankfully been able to fend for themselves, though Akira was straggling behind, and she could not see the other male in their party. «Stay.» The voice startled her. It was clear as day and cool as ice, and could have only come from the deer. Capsule blinked down at Kasper in surprise. Is this what it took to coerce him into speaking? She was alarmed by this change in development. It hinted at a disaster that she might not even be able to stop.
She slid off his back and timidly stepped onto the stable patch of ice. There was no time to reconsider or cry out, as Kasper suddenly hopped forward, landing on a pillar that stood next to the fire dog. "Um… sorry," was all she could squeak out to the other Adventurers who were about to be caught in the crossfire.
From Kasper, a white cloud constructed of diamond dust and snow radiated, enveloping the fire dog and anyone else caught in the next sixteen feet. There was no way she was going to jump into that, but it only lasted for ten seconds or so. Mentally facepalming and half considering recalling the reindeer, Capsule jumped onto the pillar to her left, and quickly moved to the pillar before it. It was slippery and treacherous. Her boots were slip resistant, but were nowhere as sturdy as a good set of hooves. To make matters worse, the next pillar was equally crappy, but the one rested before the platform seemed safe.
"Oof…" The Enchantress groaned as her stomach slammed into the hard platform. She was holding onto it with just her hands, and feared she would fall. Had it not been for the unseen force nudging her rear, she might have. "Thanks -- damn it, Kasper." The blizzard was gone, and her reindeer leaned forward from the pillar behind her. He had a haughty expression in his eyes, one he would surely pay for, if Saber could not stop his dog. He would be on his own, if that was the case.
Capsule flopped face down on the platform, taking a moment to catch her breath before crawling further up. Fire and ice definitely did not mix well. Sitting there on the ice pillar Verin rested for a bit and watched as his companions worked their way about the maze of pillars themselves, but once noticing the approach of Kitty Verin got up and prepared room for his old acquaintance. Soon after hitting the solid top of the icy pillar Kitty had greeted Verin in a kind fashion and Verin was about to return the gesture, but suddenly at screaming bellows of Tobin Verin jumped about three feet into the air thanks to the toggle skill that all members of the Acrobat sub-class had from the beginning. After landing back on to the pillar safely Verin turned and saw the dwarf start making his way over to the duo on the pillar. Once Tobin landed on the pillar with a spotty grasp Verin reached down and helped pull the small well built man up on to the pillar so that he wouldn't fall down and tumble into the pit. Finally able to get back to Kitty Verin smiled and said, "Will do, follow me."
Turning to jump to the next pillar Verin saw Saber's fiery hound make his way to the pillar in front of his which informed him that that one was safe. Jumping forward Verin landed safely by the hound, but that small achievement was short lived as once Verin turned to make his way to the next pillar Verin saw the Adventurer which Tobin had called Capsule, and Kitty had called Cap, make her way with her reindeer to the pillar which Verin was heading for and once landing there he heard he squeak an apology which confused Verin for a moment, but soon enough Capsule's words were clarified as Verin saw her beast take in a deep breath of air and then suddenly exhale a cloud of icy wind. Verin had to act immediately, he knew by Capsule's aura alone that she was stronger than him by many times over and if Verin didn't dodge it he could most likely be killed by the difference in strength as her beast shared the same level of strength that Capsule had. Instantly Verin knew what he had to do an enacted his plan by jumping forward and immediately stating the incantation, "I move faster than light in the blink of the eye!" Instantaneously Verin felt space fold around his body like paper, then unfold around him, and then Verin felt the sensation of falling as he looked down. With a thump Verin made it safely onto the pillar were Capsule's reindeer stood and he let out a sigh of relief as he turned around and saw that he had successfully made it past the life threatening gust of ice.
Gathering himself up Verin turned to where Capsule rested and lunged with all his might to the platform. Gracefully Verin landed right by Capsule and then walked a bit farther as not to take up much space for the others to land on. Looking over in Kitty's direction Verin smiled and said, "I lead the way for you." After that Verin made his way towards the exit before letting his legs collapse from out under him. Looking back at Capsule Verin kept his smile on his face and said, "I know your reindeer's actions aren't under your total control, but if you could, please make sure that what just happened doesn't happen again as I probably won't be as lucky as I was today." After that Verin picked himself up once more, though this time it was much more difficult, and sat down properly. Pulling up his status window Verin flicked through it to his inventory and pulled out a Lesser Mana Potion and drunk its somewhat bitter liquid contents before placing it back into the inventory. Closing the inventory window Verin just looked at his status window and was surprised to see that in the place of the number twenty two which was Verin's actual level was the number fifty, but beside the number was the word temporary in parentheses. Finally closing the entire status window Verin wondered why he had gained a temporary level boost, as there was no immediate threat it made Verin wonder what could be ahead.

The stiff chill tore through the lot of them, each bundling up to keep themselves warm. It came naturally to bundle up for the winter ahead. Everyone kept to themselves. His expectations fell short of giving people the benefit of his doubt, supposing that nothing even remotely social would come of this.
Any criticisms for the nature of his fellow man failed to escape his mouth; who was he to judge, when he too fell in line with the rest? Call it dime-a-dozen introversion, but he simply didn't feel like mingling for the time being. That was all there was to it. Nothing so depthful as going through some sublime struggle. He just didn't want to talk.
There were no words to be voiced, even if he felt differently. Throughout the haze of the dream, he hadn't spoken a single phrase -- nor did he plan to. The only thing he knew for real was that this would eventually come to a close, regardless of his choices and actions. His rifle could do the talking until then.
He held it with care, tucking it loosely into the socket of his shoulder. Riflery had not been part of his school curriculum, nor had he ever held a gun with just cause. His extensive knowledge on the topic of warfare and combined arms came from textbooks and arduous study. Serving as mechanized infantry had been the dream of many nights.
A carbine that he could call his own was little more than a wanton wish. Fantasy became reality thanks to this world, and for that it had his gratitude. Living the dream in more than just one sense at this point, he acted upon that stifled desire of his -- soon enough, he was marching down the corridor, imagining a scene wherein he wasn't alone in this.
His pace had been steady, each step crunching into the ground beneath him, but by the time he reached the corridor, several others had already made headway deep into the challenge presented to them. It was a simple parable, such that even a child could understand. With the right choices made, there was no time lost with the issue of falling and having to make another attempt.
Having not hurried, he could watch others in their attempts. For every failure, there was another that succeeded, and that in turn left him feeling quite confident in his choice of route. As the very first person cleared the whole way, he slung his rifle over his back, and leapt forward. [attr="class","info"]HP100% | MP100% | Slow and steady. Akira stood on her ice pillar dumbly with her mouth gaping open as she watched literally ALL of the other players and their respective pets either get to the exit or well on their way to it. She sighed loudly. Boy did she feel stupid and useless at that moment in time. Akira looked around the giant corridor and sighed again. She was literally the one furthest behind everyone else. Akira smiled in hopes to cheer herself up. If everyone else could make it to the exit or whatever than so could she. Akira’s pillar started to crumble beneath and she was extremely close to falling off and at last minute Akira jumped onto the pillar directly to her right side and again fell on her face when she landed. “ Seriously? Again?!?” Sadly, no matter if Akira was in the real world or Elder Tale it was obvious that she would never ever not be clumsy. It was a trait that she was stuck with for life. Akira looked where she had just been and watched the pillar fall down in awe. The pieces of the pillar were all down on the floor and suddenly a new even less stable looking pillar was in its place. The game mechanics were honestly amazing for a new pillar to automatically be in place, not that she knew much about the pillars though. Akira looked forward and around the room. She looked where each player was and thought back to how they had gotten there without falling so far. It seemed that there was an exact way, er rather path of pillars to jump on so that she wouldn’t end up falling to the bottom and having to start over again. Akira didn’t even want to think about what would happen if she fell, the laziness in her absolutely banned her from falling and needing to start over again. The thought itself disgusted her greatly. Akira followed the path with her eyes and started to formulate a plan. From her current pillar if Akira wanted to make it safely she’d have to jump onto the pillar directly to her right then the one above it, then that one’s right and then go two pillars directly in front of that one close to the wall. Once she got past those two pillars and onto the in the very corner of the room she’d have to jump on two pillars to her left then jump directly from that last and middle pillar onto the exit platform thingy, or whatever it was called. Akira jumped onto the pillar directly onto her right and for the first time didn’t land smack dab on her face. Instead she ended up landing on her butt. It hurt but not as much as landing on her face twice. Akira quickly got up into a standing position and looked around again. There was a person on the next pillar she needed to get to, which was directly in front of her. Akira jumped onto it and ended up hitting the person a bit. She quickly got up apologizing profusely and loudly, ” I’m so sorry! I’m really clumsy and this is the worst corridor for me to be in..” Akira looked at the person and discovered the person to be a tall male with silver eyes and eyes that resembled a graphite drawing due to the fact that they looked both light and dark at the same time, which was kind of weird but she couldn’t exactly judge because it was just wrong to judge people based on looks. Akira smiled at the man and hopped onto the empty pillar that was directly to the right of their current pillar and also against the wall. She landed on her feet that time. Akira turned towards the man and waved. “ Sorry for being on your block sir! And for bumping into you when I landed!” From then on Akira took another quick survey of the room, er corridor thing and smiled. Her way out would be secured. She should be able to get out of the pillar room/corridor in about five more jumps and then she could just run straight to and through the exit. The Dwarf had advanced swiftly with a self assured confidence to believe that the problem would have easily been sorted with idle threats. Rather unfortunately for him as he had pre-emptively hopped next to the firewolf, that his confidence had been sorely misplaced.
"Oh fa the love of-"
Nothing quite undermined being a bad ass like being put on ice. Unfortunately he had to chill out as the mist passed over him, in it's wake stood a perfectly formed of statue of Dwarf. Perfect in every detail from the slight arch of the eyebrow to the creases that made the frown and the slight parting of the lips, a reflection of horror.
Then, like a whisper the illusion (stunt double) parted and ice crumbled away to leave an irritate yet silent Dwarf as his stride carried him to pillar with light leaps, both firm footing and a magnetic grip kept him firmly affiliated to the ground. Yet as he landed next to the reindeer a flicker of flame was stoked in his frigid frame, his skin lightly prickled by the cold particulates, but already the superficial injuries had begun to regenerate over irritated skin. The glance turned back to the wolf, then the deer, then back again.
<Anything else, ladies? Oar ya done now?>
Any response was immediately rewarded with a solid whack to the pressure point to the throat; not with his entire strength but enough that suddenly the mere act of taking a breath was halted but for a few seconds as his glare intensified. Arguments wasn’t on the short agenda.
<Thought not.>
He snorted and hopped on past with that slight distinctive rumble, two more bounds and he landed on the last platform with a slight sigh. Despite the obstacles it hadn’t been hugely difficult; though that would largely be attributed to the successes of those before him, the mysterious white haired man and the assortment of characters that had trod before, just what little he had done had drained his mana. Even as the potion was knocked back and tossed aside (Tobin made mental wish to flavour these in future.) the Dwarf noticed that one old friend had forgotten the virtue of bipedal locomotion for an exhausted crawl; something that the other “gentlemen” had walked around.
-Some things don’t change between worlds. Still-
An eye brow quaked up as he glanced up the tunnel, then after a moment consideration to weigh the pro's and cons, ever accompanied by a slight grin the Dwarf leant down and scooped the enchanter into his muscular arms in a fireman’s lift, something that uncomfortable would make the introvert uncomfortable!* Though much to his surprise she was much lighter then he remembered, though considering she had lost a entire foot in length that carrying her became much less unwieldy.
-I get to be a shonin manga hero for all of one panel! Ahahahaha!-
-A fine pity Dwarf can’t read the spoilers.-
-Wait wh-
-Your a supporting character, live with it!-
-NOOOOOOOOOOOO-
“Evar get a sense of daj vu? Ahahhah! Though a word ta the wise, ya need ta keep ya crimbo decorations under control.”
The chuckle was accompanied with a cheeky wink as he waddled onwards with his new portable radiator. Still, despite the banter he kept his gaze locked forward as not to embarrass further; he were just being a gentle man in disguise of a squat biped.
“Dun’t worry, I’ll carry ya till ya get your breath back lassie.”
And so he walked on down the corridor of ice, one midget, carrying another.
(*Dwarf was asked to do this. XD I'm done here! Onto the next thread!)
