I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
It was early morning as he sat just outside the edge of town. He was still acclimating himself to the reality that this world was still the game and more importantly, how to use his skills so he wouldn't be, oh say, impaled by a boar in order to escape a rather... deplorable person. He shook his head, discarding that horrid memory to the aether that it came from and turning his attention to the paper in his hand.
"Medicinal Herbs Required: I need a few bundles of Red Ring Roses from the Savill Flower Grove. There should be a small field of them around the outer reaches of the Grove, but if you're feeling adventurous the inner reaches have much larger fields... and larger monsters. Please return with at least two small baskets."
Simple enough, right? He could take it easy, probably fight a few boars and lower level creatures in order to get into the swing of things, or get adventurous and head deep into the Grove and test his luck against the creatures lurking there. However, it was already apparent that another person had accepted the quest, so he figured he would wait here for them. Who knew, maybe today would be some fun.
He looked up at the morning sky, watching the sun rise as the wind tousled his shaggy black hair, lifting the coat-tail of his jacket. Considering the fact his entire outfit was made of white leather, he certainly stood out like a sore thumb in the early morning light.

In this strange new world we must find ourselves "Medicinal Herbs Required: I need a few bundles of Red Ring Roses from the Savill Flower Grove. There should be a small field of them around the outer reaches of the Grove, but if you're feeling adventurous the inner reaches have much larger fields... and larger monsters. Please return with at least two small baskets."
That was what the quest read she thought them over. It would be safer to stay in the small field but faster if they went to the inner reaches. Aira pondered what they should do. She knew that one other person had accepted the quest so she made her way to the meeting spot. She was clad in the starter chain mail and thus it was loud and just good enough to use basically. She couldn't wait to make her own. That was why she had chosen blacksmith, so she could make her own gear, which now seemed more important than ever. She needed gold to afford the materials though which was why she was now doing this quest. She wasn't sure if they both needed to bring a total of 2 small baskets or 4, 2 each. So she had made sure to have plenty of room inside her bag. It never hurt to have extra she thought as she made her way to the spot.
It was then that she ran into the other quester, he had the same piece of paper it looked like and he was in all white leather, and a fellow fox tail to boot. Aira smiled and waved, her black hair blowing in light breeze as she brushed it out of her eyes. That was something she still was getting use to, this hair seemed to get in everything but she so liked how it looked so thus she had to deal. She walked up to the man and smiled. "Hello, I take it your the other person on this quest?" She asked looking him over now that they were close. He looked strong, stronger than her. She hoped this didn't meant she would be a hindrance. She had ended up doing that on another quest and had felt bad. Aira wanted to pull her own weight.
Aira did a double check on her equipment real quick, Sword check, bag check, armor check. She was ready to go, it seemed. " So do we want to just go in and take the inner reaches? I suppose it will be faster, we just have to be careful and not attract more than we can handle. " She said knowing he could handle much more than her but she would help, she would fight until her last breath after all she needed the coin just as much as he probably did. So this is what adventuring was like. It was fun and well unique. Aira could certainly say it wasn't boring as every job seemed to be something entirely different, only the simplest jobs being repetitive in any way..

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
A voice called out to him as he turned his gaze from the sunrise. It seemed that the other person he would be questing with was a female, having chosen the Fox-tail race much like himself. It was a welcome sight really, since he was so used to being surrounded by the other races. He turned to face her, nodding at her first question as he watched her prepare. She was obviously either under his level, or simply under geared, though at this point, either way they'd probably be on the same level due to the fact he still had to relearn a lot of how to handle himself.
Once it seemed she was ready to go, she made one more inquiry, one that Weegee himself had been giving a lot of thought to. He gave a small sigh before he turned to face her, his expression giving away no hint of emotion, much like his monotone voice.
"The outer areas would be easier, if you don't feel up to the possibility of being sent back to town. I will try to protect you but, I hate to admit this. I was lost in the wild for, oh, two years? I ended up forgetting quite a bit of things... mainly how to use... most of my skills. However, I know I can make short work of any plant type monsters."
He gave a dry chuckle as his mouth turned up in a slight smile.
"But muscle memory has been keeping me alive in most cases."
He turned to look down the path, he knew pretty much which way to go, and began strolling casually that way.
"Right... the name is Weegee. Just a casual old Monk with a penchant for cutting wood. Yourself?"
He figured some conversation would make things go a bit smoother, you often worked better with people you were more comfortable with, and though he had no idea who she was, it didn't bother him much. She was just a single person after all.

In this strange new world we must find ourselves
Aira smiled " The name is Aira, an Sorcerer who has spent far too much time dawdling. I work with metal, blacksmithing to be exact.. Actually that is what I am saving up for, I want to try to be self sufficient." she trudged along with him. After all he seemed to know where he was going where as she was rather direction challenged herself. " I am hoping to try to make my own gear, for the practice if nothing else." She was very glad to have a companion, if not she would of been stuck to the smaller fields. "Lets go big, the bigger the risk the bigger the reward right?" She said with a giggle as she walked Hopefully this went well as "So all we have to do is gather some plants right? It shouldn't be too hard, I am good with some spells and my blade so we should be fine as long as nothing is too strong. together we should be able to handle it. After all we wouldn't be doing this quest if we both didn't think we could now would we?" She kept walking, making sure to pay attention to any possible enemies. After all you had to be careful, you never knew what might lurk.
It was a interesting day after all. She looked to Weegee and was glad that he was here. "So lost in the wilderness for two years, how was that?" She asked rather impressed, it would be hard to live out here for all that time. She was curious how he had never run across someone who could guide him back. Well it didn't matter. She walked carefully, making sure to keep her skills at the ready. She had been practicing the motions, finding it easier than calling up the menu or the hotkey things. She had practiced the motions and words of her spells. It was better she felt. Aira kept next to him, keeping up or trying her best too. After all she wasn't use to walking through the wilderness. This whole world was something to get use to. After all it was weird how it all worked. They were constantly making new discoveries and such as they lived here. The world was an interesting place.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
Aira, neat name, kinda fit her appearance. She was an aspiring blacksmith too, which was a bit harder to get started with compared to his own choice of craft. A woodcrafter just had to go out into the forest and chop some trees down, but a blacksmith? Yeah they really did need the money. As he listened to her talk he had decided to just hand over his share of the money when they finished this job, it'd be the least he could do to help her get started out.
"I can understand that, for me its as simple as walking out here with an ax... or for me my bare hands, and just breaking down a tree to do my crafting. Bonus of being a Woodcrafter I guess."
He rubbed the back of his head thinking over her decision. There was one creature he knew for sure he couldn't handle, but its location was incredibly easy to notice, considering the permanently withered field where it spawned. After a moment, he gave a nod agreeing with the plan as he continued leading them on to the crossroads he normally used to arrive at the Flower Grove.
"Alright, we'll head into the larger fields, but be follow my lead. Unless I say otherwise, most times you're going to want to stand completely still. A lot of monsters in that area rely on 'seeing' their prey by their movement. So as long as I'm the only one moving on the ground you should be safe. But, yes, gathering the plants is all we need to do. I looked up some information on the area and what we're after will look surprisingly obvious, as they are white roses with a red ring around their leaves."
He looked around, stopping for a moment as a puzzled look crossed his face. Aira asked another question as he turned, looking at the landscape around them. With a slight sigh he turned back to her with a half smile.
"It was a big blur really, saw many wondrous locations... a few grand waterfalls and magnificent trees I would love to have made into a home. I actually touched the ground for a total of three weeks during the whole time, spending most of my life in the trees. Was a lot quicker than walking, considering my specialty in this class revolves around jumping attacks."
He gave a light chuckle before looking around once more, his slight smile disappearing as quickly as it had arrived.
"The problem is... I got so used to being airborne when travelling that it's hard for me to get my bearings without a height advantage... so."
He tensed his body, bringing himself lower to the ground before leaping into the air.
"I'll be back shortly."
One leap followed quickly by a second and then a third as he landed on the branch of a tree just off the side of the path. But he didn't stop there, no, he continued swinging through the branches like a large monkey. Once he found his way to the top he stood tall, looking out over the trees, following the path until he saw what he was after. It wasn't that far of a walk thankfully, but it would give them some more time to talk. He descended the tree with practised ease, landing on the grass with a soft thud before walking over to Aira, his hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket.
"We're still on the right path, we'll be making a left turn at the crossroads, but I saw a few things in the distance we can test things out on if you need. Either way we'll have plenty of time to talk, so if you have any questions, or need any wood work for a shop, feel free to let me know."
He smiled again as he turned on his heel, lightly strolling down the path.

In this strange new world we must find ourselves
AAira smiled and nodded as he spoke. It was interesting to think that he lived in trees. "I suppose it is a lot simpler, but if you ever want to do something or need something let me know. I could make metal bits and baubles for your crafting. I want to get good and any reason to make something sounds like a good one to me. " Walking along the path, it was pretty nice, not much more then the sound of her armor and his filled the air. She would have to make sure to try to stay quiet. But then he warned of seeing, that was something she could do. " I am sure it was, but really you can move through trees like that? That would be something to see." She kept walking as it was rather nice today and just the wind was nice.
She waited, staying still until he came back, holding back the urge to whistle a tune. She was impressed as she saw him leap right into the trees. So White roses with a red ring around their leaves, that she could find. It sounded like she could find it easily too. She would just hat to make sure to stay still. This whole quest was going to be dangerous if they weren't careful. Aira smiled and looked to him as he finally came down, it was interesting to watch him leap around. She would hope that she wasn't hindering him.
Aira smiled and kept walking, "Perhaps, if I get a house or something I could use some woodwork I will keep you in mind for sure." She kept walking, she let him lead the way as he seemed to know it quite well. "So, jumping attacks, huh well so you know most of my magic involves enchanting my blade. Though I have another spell to call down lightning as well so I can do some range magic as well. I am so glad you are here, I would surely get lost if I was by myself. I sadly get lost rather easily. I am terrible at directions." She admitted with a blush. It was really bad at just how terrible she was at directions. But no matter she had a guide now.
It was interesting that she was so comfortable now, in this game. She rather enjoyed it to be honest and was trying to make the most of this new world. She wanted to live here forever but to do that she needed to get resources so she could gain her own foothold. This quest was the first of many to get started and get established. Perhaps she could join a guild if she met anyone who had one that she didn't mind joining. That was a big if though as currently no one had really had one that she had met. It was a rather simple existence so far, but she was sure with some wealth and experience she could actually start doing things she wanted to do than things out of necessity.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
"A house you say?... Well I happen to be in the act of finalizing the purchase of a place of my own. I can still order a blacksmith's forge and all if it could help you. I was just going to add a library."
He gave a light chuckle before he continued.
"Besides, it might be better not to have a house made of wood, filled with wood. You know, in case of termites."
He listened to her explain her combat style, thinking of how they could pair their abilities together. Then she mentioned she would be lost without him and he just burst out in laughter.
"I... I think you might have... misinterpreted that pretty badly Aira. Remember, I was lost out in the wilds for two years. The only reason I know where we are is because I checked the local map earlier."
He rubbed the back of his head, keeping his stride as a large group of Pittered Boars drew close to the path, grazing lazily on the grass. He continued on his way, not even remotely worried about their presence as he knew they were docile creatures, only attacking those who acted first. Even a few Frenmic Rabbits were among them, a truly peaceful sight if he had to comment on it.
"Say, have you fought anything yet? If push comes to shove I can help you get some practice in before we head into the Grove. See those Pittered Boars? I can probably tank them for a decent amount of time without sustaining too much damage."
He'd wait for an answer before making his next move. If she didn't want to practice he would instead offer to carry her for a time, in order to speed up their travel. If she did want to practice, however, he would leap into the middle of the group before flexing his body, causing it to shimmer like a wave of metal coating his body, before settling into a metallic sheen. Then, he would simply begin thump the closest boar, causing the group of them to immediately aggro onto him.
If they chose to travel, he would help her onto his back if she agreed, and would take to the trees, carefully leaping through the branches to the treetops and casually hopping through the leaves, a brisk breeze at their back. They would quickly reach their destination this way, landing just outside the entrance to the Savill Flower Grove around noon. Otherwise he'd simply continue walking, having them arrive around 2 PM.

In this strange new world we must find ourselves
She couldn't believe what she heard. "That would be much to nice.. I couldn't accept, you shouldn't go to the trouble for me. I mean we just met." She said walking along with him. It was very nice out and this man was rather kind. She didn't know what to say. "Well I suppose we can just get lost together, though I have to say you are right so I can try to help you with the metal parts of your house, but I warn you I am rather new. I will upgrade it as I get better. " She wondered if termites would be a problem here, she knew they were in real life. They could be she thought, wondering about if they would have to start trying to guard their houses against other such pests. Surely a world like this had much nastier pests. Which made her wonder what they would have to do to get rid of them. Why was he so nice, she wasn't use to people being so willing to just add a section to their house like that. She was that nice in her old life and wanted to be here once she had something to offer, but right now she really didn't have anything to offer or give to other people.
Aira looked at the boars and the rabbits, they were kind of cute watching them graze there by themselves. It was nice and peaceful and she really couldn't blame them, but she knew that often they were used to level. That meant that they could fight them if the wanted. She had only done a little bit in the way of fighting. She was rather inexperienced. So when he mentioned practice she was rather happy at that idea . I would give them a chance to get close as a team. So now it came to actually fighting.; She took a deep breath "Lets practice" She watched him catapult into the group and get their aggro and she couldn't believe how fast he was. Aira began reciting her spell and cast Thunderbolt Crash, as her sword glowed white and she put it up in the air causing a thunderbolt come down from the sky, Magi Lightning, Grand Fall came down zapping one of the boars where it stood as she charged the group with her blade.
This whole fight if she stayed calm and followed a plan this could work. She approached and held her blade ready to join her new friend Weegee in battle. It was terrifying to think she was in melee combat with them now, hopefully they stayed targeting the monk while she stabbed them in the back. It was rather intimidating really. She looked to Weegee and hoped that he could keep them occupied she wasn't very good at the whole dodging thing yet. Plus they were boars, and thus alot harder to deal with than the sparing matches she had been in until now.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
"To be fair, it would be no trouble at all. The place was going to have three bedrooms in it anyways, so having someone take up at least one of them means its a lot less empty. Besides, you seem nice enough for me not to really worry about it. And heck, if you ended up living there I could help you get started, I mean, access to your own forge and all would be really helpful, right?"
He would try to convince her, honestly he had went a little overboard with the requests he had made for his house, but hey, if he could share the space with at least one other person it wouldn't be so bad, right? Once that had been settled, he would be within the group of boars, assisting her with practicing her combat. He had already activated Iron Body, but, just to add an extra boost he quickly positioned his body into the Manawyrm Stance, boosting his defense even further.
He moved slower now, but that was alright as it would give Aria a more centralized area to focus on, as Weegee continued hitting boars every now and then with the lightest attacks possible, which in some cases sadly still took half their health. He kept a close eye on Aria as she launched her first attack, the ranged lightning spell she had mentioned earlier. She then approached the group, blade drawn and he knew he had to keep a tighter grip on the boars. His HP was slowly lowering from the repeated attack, but he had chosen this specific group due to their collectively low level.
With a nod, he gave Aria confirmation that she should be perfectly safe to attack, however, if anything were to target her, he would quickly unleash his Tiger Echo Fist skill, which would send the boars flying, killing most of them and fully aggroing any that remained.

In this strange new world we must find ourselves
Aira dove into the mass of boars, Her blade comving in contact with them as she brought it down into them, she watched the status effect pop up on them. She smirked and hit another one, her attacks hopefully helping the monk as the boars she hit were under the effect of an minor paralysis effect. She hit them each once noting her attacks didn't do nearly as much damage as the monk's but she kept at it, finding one dead she refrained from her instinct to celebrate.
She needed to focus, that was when the boars all started looking at her and she flew backwards, She didn't know what happened suddenly boars had went flying too, she rubbed her butt and got back up. Not nearly as fast as she should of but she sighed, most of the boars were dead now, only two remained and thus she ran at them, ignoring her pain and the fact that a boar had rammed her. She attacked and killed the first one, her blade hitting again and again, them unable to move. She was terrible at this she was certain of it. Hopefully with practice she could get better. Though she wondered how he got so good.
Aira finally got the last one gone, and smiled looking at Weegee. "I did it!" She said embracing him in a hug in celebration. She let go and stepped back. "You sure it would be ok for me to stay in one of your rooms, that would be so helpful and I would try to repay you. I don't know what I could give you but I am sure we could make some sort of deal. I must admit you are unlike most I have met, you are quite nice. She looked for whatever might of dropped from the boars, having never done this before. She blushed and looked to Weegee. "So how does the whole drop thing work?" She asked looking about not sure where she was suppose to look. She felt herself slowly regaining health and was glad that it was the case.
"So as you can see I am not very good yet, I am quite new at this whole combat thing, I have tried to avoid it as much as I can until now." She giggled and put away her weapon, noting she had 20 percent lightning attunement, she was getting closer to being of more use to Weegee. She didn't noticed but her sword had lost its white glow and had stopped giving off sparks. This whole adventure was getting interesting. Now to make their way, she would let him carry her if it was faster as awkward as that would be.As long as he kept his hands to himself, she was a lady after all. "So, where will this house be and are you sure you don't want anything?" She asked amazed he was being so nice. Aira was unused to this. The idea would let her work far better though.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
It was rather amusing watching her try her best to fight, it honestly reminded him of when he had his first fight against boars... quickly followed by the memory of who he was with and why that battle didn't last very long for him. He shook the memory from his mind, watching as she dispatched the last boar he relaxed his body, letting his skin return to its natural color. He gave a slight sigh of relief before he suddenly found himself embraced by his comrade, his face flushing in response as he looked at her quizzically. He wasn't used to touching like that, reminded him of an old friend he hadn't seen in years.
"Y-yeah. You did great Aria, you seem like you'll get the hang of things really quickly. I can help you learn the harder parts of it too, namely dodging."
He gave a light chuckle before she asked him once more about the house. He nodded as he began his response.
"It won't be a problem, really. You can have either of the two rooms I had planned for guest rooms, can decorate them as you like and have it as your own. I'll look into what needs to be done to add a tenant, shouldn't be much trouble. Oh, and no repayment necessary. Company is more than enough."
He had regained his composure, but the sudden hug had knocked something loose from around his neck just as a breeze passed them. A bright white scarf, adorned with several images of cloves, billowed out, the breeze catching and extending it to its full length, showing off the green leaf designs at its end. He didn't seem to pay it any mind, and moved on to answer her next question.
"Drops are like most games would be, random and as far as I remember, auto-looted to your inventory. It's been a while sadly, so I can't say for certain."
He gave her a pat on the shoulder and a smile, before he helped her onto his back.
"Might be hard to believe, but everyone was in your place at one point. My first fight with boars ended in me getting impaled through the stomach. Honestly, was a much better result than staying where I was."
He gave a shudder as he threw that memory away, again.
"As for the house, it'll be located in the Thames Riviera District, just out from Londinium. Quaint little place, though... the place I'd like might be a little... odd."
He leaped into the trees, using the more open areas to allow him to carry Aria safely up to the top. It was slower than if he were doing this by himself, as he looked for large branches that would easily hold both of them, but it would still be much quicker than walking along the path itself. About half an hour of leaping Weegee would land at the edge of the Flower Grove, helping Aria down before collapsing on the ground unceremoniously. He was sitting down cross-legged for a moment, before leaning back and laying down in the soft grass.
"We'll take a moment to rest here. It should be relatively safe, I just need a breather. Haven't actually carried anyone like that before."
He gave a light chuckle before he stretched, gazing up at the noon sky. He avoided looking directly at the sun, of course, and focused on the clouds gently rolling overhead.
"Pretty day though. Nothing like a gentle breeze, well, except for maybe a gentle rain. Those are the best days..."
He mumbled to himself for a moment, letting his body relax from the trip.
"You doing alright Aria? No branches hit you or anything, did they?"

In this strange new world we must find ourselves
Aira smiled at his compliments she was rather excited at her achievement. She had dispatched some of the boars. She had wondered about that, it was hard to concentrate on dodging and attacking at the same time. She would have to work on that. She was rather excited, a place to live. That would certainly help with things. She was so very thankful. She would make sure to be helpful It was exciting to be on an quest with someone so helpful. After all it wasn't everyday someone helped someone out so much. "That sounds painful, it ended up with you getting impaled? Thanks for distracting them so it didn't happen to me."
She got on his shoulders and was amazed at how fast they went through the forest via the trees. It was very nice though she had to duck from the trees. They were a danger and she cringed during a few close calls. She was glad when they were done and sat down on the grass with him. It was really the perfect day. She made sure she didn't have any scratches or leaves in her hair with a smile. It was a good day, and they had made up time by traveling his way. Aira had to admit he knew how to travel with style. "The place sounds perfect, I would love to stay in your house, it would certainly ensure we won't get lonely. I hate that about this game, so many people stick to themselves. I would love the chance to make a friend.
She smiled and whistled a tune, one from Mozart, and laid back in the grass letting Weegee get a break. "I am fine, I am excited about the idea, You will have to let me know when it is done. So what do you do besides wood crafting? I dance, myself. I am not very good but I am getting better at it. It is fun to do, I spent earlier today doing it even, it is fun." She smiled and took a deep breath spotting a flower that looked like described and ran for it harvesting it carefully and putting it in her magic bag.
"I found one!" She yelled over to Weegee and giggled looking around for others. She was found some more and spent time gathering it not noticing that there were not so friendly creatures about. She was occupied in gathering flowers for her magic bag. She would take them out later to ensure that Weegee and her both got credit for it. It was fun really, she enjoyed it. She looked about and saw another one, and not the plant like creature that was nearby. Instead Aira was busy going for the flower. "I found another one!" She yelled back with a giggle making her way towards the flower. It was an easy quest after all she thought, she didn't know why it had been rumored to be anything but. The flowers were relatively easy to find, it was nice.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
"Oh, it was incredibly painful, sad to say, though I think it was more... a false sense kind of thing or something? Someone told me the pain fades after a while... I think they lied..."
He rubbed his stomach gingerly as a dull ache throbbed through it. He put it to the back of his mind as he took them through the trees. He smiled, glad that she had ended up accepting his offer, he'd figure out the specifics later, and would make sure they both arrived at the house when it was finished and purchased.
As he layed down, he chuckled lightly at Aria's enthusiasm, glad to have someone he could easily get along with.
"Of course, and glad to know you're excited about the idea. I certainly more excited now that I'll have a roommate. As for that... I'm working on Acrobatics. The way I want to fight, to live my life in this game revolves around leaping and jumping around. I've even been working on learning to use a new weapon... kind of coming along pretty well though."
He sat up, giving a stretch as she called out her excitement of finding one of the flowers. They were indeed easy to find, seemed like there might have been around fifteen of them in the area. He didn't see any real dangers around here, so it should be fine for her to go ahead and gather what was around them. This gave him more than enough time to get back onto his feet and stretch his body a bit, never hurt to make sure you were ready to move at a moment's notice. Once he was finished he was airborne, leaping over to Aria's side, looking around for a moment.
"Seems there are a few here, but we can go a bit further in before having to worry about any real dangers. I think the worst thing we should have to deal with would be... the Treants. If we come across one of those, please, leave it to me. They are strong and deadly foes and will either be my level, or above it."
He turned to face Aria, his face placid but seemingly stern.
"Promise me you will let me handle anything I know can seriously hurt you."
Once he had gotten her to agree, and promise, he would walk with her, collecting the flowers here before leading her further in to the Flower Grove.

In this strange new world we must find ourselves
"Sounds about right, she said rubbing her butt a bit as they talked. It still hurt from her crash landing in the fight. They had flowers now they just needed some more. She hoped they didn't see one of those treants. "That is exciting, I am not much for jumping but I am glad it works for you. Should you need a distraction I can do that with my dancing, What is your new weapon?" She asked curious what is so new. It was after all not often one got a new weapon. She smiled and thought about it Treants, they sounded scary and she would easily promise not to attack, though she would want to help. though so it was a touch promise. "I will do it Weegee if you promise you will let me help if things get desperate." After all surely he didn't want her to watch him die.
Aira wondered where they were going, they were curious "I could blast it with lightning from afar you know." She said walking further into the grove. They needed more flowers after all, and with more flowers was a happier client. She looked at Weegee and wondered how he moved around so quickly. His jumps were impressive, he had just cleared half the small meadow with a single leap. "Thanks for putting up with me, I know it can't be easy taking a lower level on a quest with you. You are really far too nice. I can't believe how lucky I am to have met you." She said pondering how many flowers they needed before they could go. Perhaps she would ask Weegee in a bit. Aira was very happy today. It was the perfect day.
It was going to be a fun day she thought, she had brought lunch in her bag and had enough to share so at some point they could stop and eat. It was a perfect day for a picnic after all. "When you want we could have a picnic, I brought some food just in case." Aira looked to Weegee and walked with him, seeing how he would move once she promised. She found herself whistling the themesong of the game with a absent mind as they walked, she had recently found herself picking up the old habit from real life. She liked whistling it was relaxing. The grove was a nice place to be, all she had to do was keep collecting flowers. She got another flower and smiled at Weegee, "how many do you think we need?" She asked curious what his goal was. After all she wanted to do the 3 dozen she think the quest asked for. That would make sure that they got the maximum reward. That was what she was after, she wanted to get enough gold to make headway in crafting so she could make money blacksmithing. That would really be a good thing, then she didn't have to spend so much time out in the wilderness and more doing things that seemed more interesting.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
The weapon? Well, he didn't have one yet, he had to get someone, preferably a blacksmith... make... one. He had an idea, if she had wanted to pay him back, then at the very least he could assist her.
"Well, I have been training with polearms, focusing on spears. I have a certain one in mind in order to... use for my odd fighting style. However, wooden replicas aren't a good idea to use in a fight, right? I'd have to get a blacksmith to make me one... and, well wouldn't it figure I met one here?"
He chuckled lightly as he continued.
"Once the house is done, I'd be happy to work with you to make the spear, if you'd be willing to, of course."
Time passed, and he got the promise he had needed, and a promise he had to make himself.
"Aright, but just remember these monsters can have just as long a range as yourself. And as for putting up with you, it's never bothered me. I'm just happy having company instead of stuck with the voice in my head. I'll also agree you're lucky to have met me first... instead of Zeek."
He gave a sigh, shaking his head slightly.
"If I seem, different. It's not me. I'll answer to Weegee. The other... me will call himself Zeek. He won't hurt anyone without good reason but... he's not... well, not entirely me. Kind of... haven't had access to my meds from h... the real world."
He was going to say home, but, in all honesty, this world was now his home. He looked to Aria with a shy smile, his concern barely showing through an emotionless face.
"I really hope finding out... that I'm... well neeped in the head doesn't... run you off. Hell, I haven't seen any of my old friends, think I ran them off when that problem was... worse."
He shook off the bad thoughts and gave as much of a reassuring smile as he could, one that would be even more reassuring if she told him it wasn't a real problem. He didn't want to ruin the good mood of the day. After some time, she mentioned a picnic, an idea that didn't sound half bad in all honesty. But they could save that either for when she got hungry, or after they had collected enough baskets.
"Let's see... a picnic sounds great, we can have it right where we came into the Grove. As for when, I think it'd be best if we do so when you get hungry, or when we have around four baskets of flowers, two baskets each containing a total of two dozen flowers. Some quests can be completed by multiple people at once, and since this quest seemed to have accepted both of us, it seems we can double your reward."
He smiled back at her as she continued picking the flowers, listening to her whistling what seemed to be the game's theme. Been a while since he'd heard that. He gave another look around the area, turning them to head further into the Grove. By now they had one basket total half full, but at this rate it would take all day to collect them from the outer areas. He kept himself just slightly forward of Aria while keeping a keen eye on both their feet and their surroundings. He knew he wouldn't have too much to worry about regarding the hidden monsters due to his level, but Aria... he'd rather be safe than sorry since he was escorting her at this point. Five more flowers could easily be seen around them, but this bed of flowers was guarded by a pair of wandering Nepent Snatchers. He quickly got Aria to stop, nodding his head towards the creatures.
"Those I remember work off vibration sight basically. Don't move and you'll be harder to see. Stay here and call me if anything gets too close, I'll handle these two."
He rolled his shoulders before he ran straight towards the two monsters, who quickly turned their attention to the sudden burst of movement nearby. He made a sharp left turn, beginning to circle them away from Aria. After they had made a quarter turn and began to give chase, Weegee launched himself into the air. The Nepents seemed to look around, confused as to what had just happened as they continued moving towards the last place he had been. They swung the vines from their top, looking to grasp hold of something as Weegee landed behind them. They quickly turned and launched themselves at the newest movement, as Weegee leaped into the air once more. This time, however, he had activated his favored Nighthawk stance just before he jumped. So he moved through the air faster, but he had no intentions of using this jump to evade again... no this time his leap was powered by the skill, Wyvern Kick. Weegee's body flipped at the crest of his jump, before rocketing down into the nearest Nepent, his kick landing solidly in the creature's body. Due to its height, Weegee had to brace himself to roll immediately after the impact, causing him to cart-wheel right into the swinging vines of the second Nepent.
Weegee's face winced slightly as he regained his balance, hopping back to avoid even more swings of the wildly flailing monster.
"That's it... I didn't want to, but you hit me. No more Nice Weegee for these plants."
He activated his Woodcrafter's special toggle skill, Timber, causing his hands to glow lightly with a green aura. He was now serious, and was going to take them out in his own crazy way.
"Aira, feel free to zap whenever you can. But try not to move your feet too much. These things will hurt if they connect with you."
