[attr="class","capsol"] It was nice enough for even Megumi to waltz around the town today, which was rare enough in its own right. No real aim today, just the desire to be up and about, without too much else going on. Just a stroll around the town would be nice enough, she figured. Maybe she would go window shopping today, and see if she could find anything of value, or anything that would be nice to have in her own boudoir, for later time usage. She never was one to entertain the normal armor that she had been given at the start of this wretched world, no matter how much she tried. It was never any fun to be without the piles of money that she had been so used to having, and yet, she somehow managed to get by in this new place. As much as she would have liked to have called over a butler to do the shopping for her, she had to learn to get up and do things on her own, once in a while.
Making her way down one of the crowded market streets, Megumi looked into the windows that she passed. She figured it had been long enough since this place began that decent fashion would begin to show up now, and she might as well try her hand at finding some nice clothing. Clothes that would be light and comfortable, clothes that could support her in the cold and warmer months, and clothes for the sake of luxury, or just the benefit of having altogether. As she looked through the windows, she did happen to find a few pieces that she would have liked to have, and ones that really caught her attention before too long. She was about to reach for her purse to take out her credit card, which was backed by several tens of thousands of dollars, but to her dismay, she carried neither the card nor the purse. You'd think after having been stuck here for 2 years, she would have realized this fact a long time ago. Old habits die hard, it seems.
She grunted, and started to make her way down the road further, wondering how she could go about making some decent money in this world. Of course, the concept of having to go out and get it herself seemed fairly problematic in and of itself, as she was much more accustomed to it having been there to begin with. Megumi never really did question where the money had come from in the first place, as she had just assumed it was brought in by bloodline inheritance, but she did once in a while wonder how and why her father still had so much, if it was supposedly passed down through their livelihood. But, never was she the one to question her father and how he went about his own business. On that topic, though, she did begin to wonder: What she could do for money. While Megumi enjoyed having everything plainly given to her for the entirety of her life, she knew that, at some points, she would have to get up and do things herself. This seemed to be one of those scenarios, she thought.
As though being pointed by a heavenly light, a glint of a mirror reflected into her eye from the side. The sudden exposure to the sun's light caused her to wince and quickly glare over at the source. It was a small glass shard attached to a quest board, where many adventurers took up such quests to gain experience and gold. She stared with distaste for a few moments, as she never liked the look of the boards themselves, but let out an audible sigh. "I suppose it cannot be helped..." She muttered, making her way over to the board. Luckily enough, it wasn't necessarily crowded, and she figured she might as well look over some of the requests, to see if there was an easy one for her to take, which garnered a large amount of money as a result. As the woman began to examine the board more closely, she noticed one very important thing: They were almost all fighting quests, and the ones that weren't required certain subclasses, which she did not have. Would she have to give in and do one of these fighting quests, she wondered? The thought drove her to to become slightly agitated, but she resigned herself. "This is just what I must do, it seems..." She mumbled, looking through the quests more thoroughly this time.

Tristan loved this new world. In her two years in it, she never once grew tired of her old life. Its true she missed her brothers and her friends, but this world was so vast and wonderful, she would have such wonderful stories to share when she finally made it back. A wide, toothy smile sat upon her face as she sauntered through town, one hand in her pocket, the other on the handle of her claymore which sat in its massive entirety resting upon her shoulder. She had spent so much of her time since the start of this new life wandering around, bumming it off the people of the land and seeing as much of this world as she could before the hazards proved too much. She had died a handful of times, always respawning at the cathedral with a massive grin upon her face, happy to have the experiences to matter the outcome. It was her nature after all, and after having seen and experienced so much, she figured it would be time to join the fray and begin working out some quests so she could get out and see more. She approached the board, her carefree saunter gathering some looks from the crowd, many parting for the tall, slender figure of the woman and the massive blade she so easily flung about. She began palming through leaflets looking for anything interesting before noticing the girl next to her, seeming to carefully examine the papers individually with a weird sort of confused but trying really hard to understand kind of look on her face. She was only about an inch below her own height, but her careful peering had her standing differently than the tall, proud, comfortable look of the guardian. She beamed towards the girl, and in a loud voice with a seemingly southern accent she greeted the girl as though they were old friends. "How're ya doin'? You look like a woman with a mission! Tell me, it ain't you're first time at the job board is it?"
She let out a loud booming laugh as she went back to scanning the board herself, startling some of the other adventurers and people of the land around them. Most didn't seem to get how she could seem so jolly, but she just stood there, accepting more jobs than she would probably ever finish with her huge grin spread across her face, a sort of good-natured aura eminating from her very being. "So what kinda quests y'all lookin' for?"Tags: Megumi

It was about time Marashi got herself moving. In a way, it was embarrassing for her to still be such a low level. Before the virtualization, she had two max level characters in the game. However, grinding quests was much easier when you were sitting at a desk behind a computer screen. Here, you actually had to go out and run around… and that took a lot more time. However, she had a plan of action on how she would conquer the lower levels. She would do as many quests as she could that could be accomplished in the same area. There would be certain quest types that would be worth more so they would definitely take priority over the others.
In the meantime, Marashi needed to get to the quest board in Londinium. There were quite a few all around town, but some were most definitely better than others. For example, the ones closer to the merchant areas would be worth more since they were usually posted by various merchants who had extra gold to part with. The ones posted right outside the city gate were usually posted by lower level Landers who didn’t have as much gold… then again, Marashi had a way she could possibly get more gold out of the quests… but that probably wouldn’t hold over for long. No, she would do quests the old fashioned way.
After walking through a few crowds, Marashi finally made her way to the quest board, and it seemed a few people were already standing around… two in particular caught her attention. One seemed to be a quiet type while the other was definitely the opposite, being ridiculously loud and asking what kind of quests everyone was looking for. That was when the voices in her mind began to speak again.
“Might as well answer,” Hikari, one of her shikigami urged, “You might make a friend you’ve been looking for.”
Marashi internally rolled her eyes.
“Hikari is right,” Yume, her other shikigami, agreed, “It couldn’t hurt.”
Despite the two shikigami having polar opposite personalities, it was amazing that they agreed on anything… and of course, they agreed on the thing that Marashi didn’t necessarily want to do… but there wasn’t much Marashi could do about it.
“I’m looking for bounty quests,” Marashi finally replied as she stepped forward and began to read the quests on the parchment papers on the board, “I’ll also take on treasure hunting quests as long as the gold it pays out is good. What kind of quests are you looking for?”

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]we rise in the dying [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]His first real day outside the shop and he couldn't ask for better weather. He wandered about town, his beginner armor clinking and clanking with every move he made. He groaned with annoyance as he wished he could just simply silence the damn thing and be done with it, but that wasn't an option and he certainly couldn't go around naked.
He walked out onto the market street, passing a few Landers who busily hurried into the Clockwork Keep he had just left. He could smell the delicious food being cooked across the street, but, having been an apprentice he had no real money to himself. Now he was on his own, so, he turned and headed down to the quest board. It seemed like there was a small gathering there already, three females talking to one another. As he drew closer he realized they were all conversing about quests, something he was looking for himself.
He made his way closer, making sure he could be easily seen by the entire group, since he would have probably been heard way before hand.
"Pardon the intrusion ma'ams, but I couldn't help an' overhear ya'll talkin' bout questin'. I know it's downright off to jus' wander up ta' folks and ask to join but... I ain't had the time ta'get out an fight... so's I'm lookin' f'er some folk wantin' ta' make some cash. Sound right as rain ta' any a' ya'll?"
He gave a big smile and tucked a hand onto his side as he spoke. He only had to hope one of them would be interested in doing a quest with someone like him. Who knew, maybe he'd get lucky and they'd all do a quest together. Safety in numbers and all that jazz. notes here. @tagged words:508 | Jade had spent the last two years making sure the younger children she had found were ok, they were at places now that it was safe for her to actually have time for herself and well that was weird. It was time to do questing so that she could protect them. Also so she could get enough money to keep a promise she had made to her real life little sister. She needed to make little bee wings. She didn't have her usual armor on as she wasn't going out quite yet. She liked her cute yellow and black dress. She had picked it out with her sister and now she was alone in this game and missing her family. To do something with her life in this game and to protect others in this dangerous world she needed to get stronger.
It was when she had arrived at the quest board, she was surprised, it seemed others were talking about quests. " I was thinking about doing some sort of fighting quest myself, anything really I am saving up for something." She said with a smile to the others. It seemed she wasn't the only one who was a low level. That was interesting as she thought it would be the case considering that she had somehow spent 2 years caring for others. It had been far too long since she had been stuck in this game but she had made a life of it. Though she always found herself worrying about her real life family. She hoped they were going to be ok. She knew the little ones she had taken care of were good now.
Jade looked to the others, an interesting group to be sure. "Perhaps we could all do a quest together?" She said with a smile hoping that perhaps she wouldn't have to do it by herself. That would be nice, she looked at them all, curious what the others would say about it. It would be nice to make new friends now that her old friends had found other places in the world and guilds and such. She was on her own again and it was slightly outputting, it was hard to keep oneself busy and from thinking about other things when you didn't have anyone to talk/ or take care of. She would have to get her stuff out of her bag. Since she didn't usually wear it. The fact was that she didn't like wearing her rather ugly starter armor. That was something she needed to get fixed. She also needed to spend more time with her steed, that was one of her favorite parts of this world now. She had a mount that was a true friend, and had been with her for these two years. She looked at the board, seeing if anything was good for her just in case the others didn't want to go with her. It never hurt to be prepared after all. She didn't want to be left without one after all.

[attr="class","capsol"] The young woman still had her eyes fixed upon the different number of quests that were there, wondering which of them she should choose. The rapiers at her side didn't feel quite sturdy enough to take on some of these larger monsters, and these 'slime' creatures sounded far too repulsive to deal with. If anything had gotten onto her clothing and ruined it, she would have the game's designers pay for every pound of damage. The thought swirled through Megumi's mind for just a few moments, with the intent of bringing up the charges in its entirety, should it happen. Then, she thought about her clothing back in the other world, and how ratty they must be by that point. She shuddered at the thought, wondering if she was still in the same clothes that she had been in since that day. Even those weren't the best clothing to be in, especially for being unconscious for several years. Oh, how horrendous she must look! When she had finally regained her senses and continued to look at the quests that had been posted, she very quickly jumped a little bit, and let out the slightest shriek. Suddenly, this person who was looking over quests nearby had begun speaking in a very, very loud tone. And to her, no less. After taking a moment to look over to her side, and notice the gargantuan lady standing just beside her, she recognized the accent. Like something out of one of those old American Western movies, but twice as annoying in real life. She never was one to 'enjoy' the accent itself, as it just came across to her as loud and incomplete. Slurring every other word with their y'all's and their 'howdy's' makes them seem much less intelligent than they needed to be. But, since Megumi was by herself, and this person looked as though they could very easily end her life with one swing of their massive weapon, she decided to keep quite, and hope for a distraction. Which, as luck would have it, seemed to be life's just desire. A smaller girl had arrived, and begun speaking to the two that were already there. Well, not so much speaking to the two of them, but really just announcing that they were eavesdropping on a conversation that wasn't happening. However, this newcomer had the sense to look for high-paying quests. Perhaps this new person wasn't quite as simple as Megumi had originally made her out to be. She seemed quiet, and interested in getting large sums of money. Perfect type of person, whom she could get together with and gather up large sums of money, so that she may enjoy the lavish lifestyle she so craved to return to. A large mansion, servants, and a large kitchen for her to cook in, day in and day out. Ah, those were what dreams were made of, she felt. Maybe this person could help with her goal in the end, and Megumi would grace this newcomer with the help that she also needed, so that they could both benefit monetarily. Of course, though, if three's a crowd, then what's to stop four? Very soon afterwards, a gentleman had started to walk up to them. On the outside, he seemed rather attractive, and sensible enough. That is, until he began to speak in yet another accent. Was it the same as the girl before? Was it different? She couldn't tell at all. And yet, as the man finished saying what he was saying, another had arrived, with the intent of asking them all along on a quest. Lord knows Megumi would rather go out and finish a quest alone, instead of be accompanies by such a large cast of people. It simply wouldn't be worth it, she thought, to deal with so many people all of a sudden. She regained her composure as best she could, and looked around at all the people there. Since she couldn't outright tell them no, she would have to use some of her political speak that she had inherited from her father. This would be the moment that they would finally be of use in this world! Megumi casually started to look over the quest board once again, though this itself was a ploy. She was formulating just what to say, and she started to speak as she seemingly looked over the board once again. "I must apologize to you all." She began, her voice light. "But, I am only here for a solo quest, as it were, and I think I've found..." A hand reached to the nearest paper on the board, and she picked it off the cork board. "Just the right one!" Turning around with the paper in her hand, she gave a slight curtsy, before continuing. "I do hope you all enjoy your questing, as I shall mine. Good day to you all." With that, Megumi turned on her heel, and started to walk away in the direction she had been going before. She made it about half a bock down the path, when she turned her attention to the paper. As soon as she read the words, she stopped in place, her eyes widened, and her heart sank. Party requirement: 5. Mission: Slay 20 Dull Green Slimes. She remained in the street, paralyzed, for a few moments, thinking to herself. This was a nightmare. This was a travesty. She needed to go back and grab one of the other single person quests immediately! As she turned back around, she remembered the group that was still there. "Oh, if they see me there again, I'll have used my only excuse!" She mumbled softly to herself, becoming slightly more panicked. "And if I tell them that I grabbed the wrong page, they would think me a klutz or a ditz, and belittle me! Oh, what should I do...?" She reveled in her inner state of emergency, before spawning an idea. "A-ha! I've got it!" She spoke to herself, making her way back down the road. However, there was still enough of a crowd that she hid amongst them for a few moments, until she was able to perch herself behind one of the nearby buildings, and watched them from afar. She figured that, with enough time and patience, she would be able to out-wait them, and they would move along, allowing her the chance to bring the paper back, swap it out for a single person one, and then escape quickly from there. It was the perfect plan! Tristan was glad to see so many people beginning to gather around the board, all of them low level like herself and all seeming to be looking for a quest or two. She smiled as they each came up and said their own little blurb about what they were looking for, and was glad that there might even be a possibility for a group quest. She suddenly heard the girl that was first at the board give out a quiet squeak as she saw the group that had started to amass, which made sense. Not all people who were on these kinds of games were the kind to be very social without the screen to separate the two worlds, so she wasn't too surprised. Instead she just gave out a rather jovial laugh, " Didn't mean ta scare ya there!" The girl began mumbling something under her breath, seeming rather on edge or at least a little excitable. It reminded Tristan almost like a new puppy that didn't know what to do when guests arrived to the house. She seemed to blindly palm over a bunch of quests before grabbing one off of the board that Tristan had been eyeing earlier, a 5 man group hunting quest, before seeming to excuse herself with something about finding a solo quest and rushing off in a little bit of a rather almost airheaded manner. Tristan watched her for a bit wander off a bit before looking at the paper and seeming to get a little flustered. It had seemed she had realized her mistake and didn't want to return to admit it. The girl seemed to skulk off to some corner so she could watch and wait for them all to leave. And that gave Tristan an idea. Nudging the fire haired girl, she whispered in her ear. " I got an idea on how to get an easy group hunting quest, just follow my lead." With a wink she excused herself from the group for a moment, " I'll be right back y'all, just gotta go grab something real quick!" She walked off and snuck down an alley, the fire haired girl on her tail. After a few minutes they snuck up behind the black-and-white haired girl. Throwing her arm over the girl's shoulder and giving her a huge grin, she walked her back into the group with the rest of them. " So I managed to find another member for a hunt quest I claimed a while back if y'all are down for it! Kill 20 slimes out in the forest and afterwards the drinks'll be on me!" She laughed. She knew full well the other girl was the one who got the quest, but she figured that this would at least give her a way out of her shyness without having to admit to it. A convenient excuse if you will. But nonetheless, the quest sounded right up Tristan's alley, and it made a good reason to try and make some new friends! It seemed that the quest board was starting to get kind of crowded. After Marashi said that she was looking for certain types of quests, a guy walked over and joined the group. He, just like Tristan, had a strong Southern accent which made some of his words hard to understand.
“He’s kind of weird,” Hikari spoke, and Marashi was once again grateful only she could hear her shikigami, “I mean, you think so too, don’t you Yume?”
“Never judge a book by their cover… or the way they speak,” Yume responded carefully.
Just as Marashi was going to say something, someone else spoke up, saying that they were looking at doing some fighting quests to earn some money. It was a good call, and that was Marashi’s goal… and probably everyone else’s goal in the long run as well.
It was then that Marashi finally realized she should look at who, and what, everyone else was, especially since no one else seemed to be speaking.
One of the girls at the board was named Megumi, a Swashbuckler… and a dual-wielding Swashbuckler from the looks of it. Though, she didn’t look too impressed by anyone else in the group. The second, the one that was loud and had a Southern drawl, was named Tristan Lannister… wait, Lannister? Seriously? Megumi grumbled internally at the name… she was familiar with the last name from the TV show, and the words “Don’t trust a Lannister” came to mind. The third, or rather fourth, girl was named Jade, and she was a Guardian. Finally, the only guy in the group was named Daggerfel, and he was a Samurai. It was a decent variety of people, and it probably would make a good team. The only problem Marashi could see was that she would have been the healer, but she had no healing or shield abilities yet.
Though before anyone talked about a group, it seemed that the initial person, Megumi, was not looking for a group… though she ended up pulling down a group quest. It was one of the parchment papers that Marashi had scanned over before but didn’t pull it because it required a group of 5… and there were five people around. Interesting coincidence. Before Marashi could point out Megumi’s error, she walked of hastily.
“You should probably go after her,” Hikari said, “who knows, maybe she’ll do the quest with everyone else too.” Yume seemed to agree with Hikari… what was it with the two shikigami actually agreeing for once?
The loud one, Lannister, leaned forward towards Marashi and whispered for her to follow her lead. Then she said that she would be right back to everyone else as if they had already agreed to be a party together.
“This bodes well,” Marashi mumbled to herself.
Before she began to make her way, Marashi turned to the others. “My name is Marashi by the way,” she said, “I’m going to make sure that she doesn’t do anything too stupid.” With that, Marash turned around and began to follow the lead… wait, why was she following the lead? It wasn’t as if she had agreed to form a party with them… oh well, there wasn’t much she could do about it now, especially considering that Marashi had caught up to the Lannister ambushing Megumi.
“There’s no need to be so brash,” Marashi said, jogging to catch up to the two which was quite the challenge since she wasn’t wearing shoes, “What I believe... Tristan, if I’m right, what she’s trying to say is that you actually grabbed a group quest instead of a solo quest like you said you wanted. Since you have the group quest, would you like to form a party to complete it? Oh, my name is Marashi by the way.”
“This isn’t going to hold over well,” Yume commented quietly.
“Probably not,” Hikari agreed.
Marashi groaned, hopefully quietly enough that the other two didn’t hear her.

He offered a hand, his smile broadening as he settled into his friendly self. He rolled his shoulders, trying to get used to the weight of the zweihander he had strapped there, regretting not having at least worn it more than once every blue moon. He spoke up again as he went to look at the board, browsing them slowly.
"So, y'er lookin' f'er a quest too then? I figger'd I'd get me one or two ta' start me off. Been locked in an ol' dusty room f'er these last two years, reckon it's time I oughta get out there and do what erryone else was. How 'bout you?"
Just as he finished asking, the loudest of them all had returned. He noticed she had brought back the one who had left, even claiming to have a quest that required five people.
"Well butter my biscuit, a five man quest? Sounds like one 'ell of a happenstance, eh? Right, af'er I f'erget, name's Daggerfel, but you can call me Dagger f'er short."
He smiled at the three who had returned to the group, offering his hand to each. His hands looked rough, as if they'd worked all their life.
"So, when can we get started with the work?" Jade watched the girl grab a 5 person quest and leave and was going to say something but she was gone so fast she couldn't. It was when the other two left to go get her that she smiled and waved at them. It was interesting to see so many people here to do quests. She looked to the remaining person and smiled. "My name's Jade, it is really nice to meet you." She went towards the board and looked but didn't see anything appealing, it seemed the group quest it was. She took his hand, forgetting she was so strong in this game and gave a rather hard squeeze of his hand. She was a guardian after all.
"Yeah, I was hoping to find a quest to do or someone to quest with. Seems I found both with everyone here if they come back." Jade thought about it and answered "Yeah I have been taking care of some of the younger players the last two years, no one else did so I sort of took them under my wing. " She said with a smile, she had many fond memories of them. Then they returend, that was going to be interesting. "Well lets get going then, no time like the present right. Hold on one second though, I am not quite ready. " She ran off around a corner and activated her menu, equipping her platemail armor, spear and heavy shield along with blowing a whistle to summon her mount. The armor formed around her and the shield and spear appeared on her back, she had to get use to this. She wished she had worn them more so she wasn't so awkward in them. She smiled as Arcadia appeared next to her and she pet him with a smile. She put her foot in the stirrup lifting her self up onto Arcadia who took her with ease. She had to admit Arcadia was a strong horse. Jade couldn't imagine life without Arcadia, they had become friends.
It was so overkill but the returning jade had a great shield and spear on her back and was on the back of a horse that looked young but built for battle. The horse slowly walked towards the group and the board, she didn't want to leave Arcadia out of the fun so she had brought him with her. She jumped off of her horse with a easy gesture, holding him by his reins as she got next to the board."Sorry, I generally try to avoid wearing this, as its not nearly as cute as my other outfit." She smiled from her armor, steadying Arcadia, her warhorse. This was the fun part they were going to go on a grand adventure. "It's ok Arcadia, they are friends, we are going to go group together, so be nice. " She said knowing that Arcadia had the tendency to bite those that she decided she didn't like. It was the last thing she wanted to deal with as well.

[attr="class","capsol"] Trouble very swiftly began to brew, as two of the people that had been there decided that they would make their way away from the other two that were still there. From where Megumi stood, it seemed as though they had decided not to make a party, at least, not the loud one. She could still hear the tall one as she exclaimed so loudly that she was off to grab something. Perhaps it was a megaphone to try and annoy everybody in the area, rather than just those immediately around her. She entertained the thought for just a moment, before noticing the fire-haired quiet one began to make their way off in the same direction as the loud one. Perhaps they were off to perform a quest together, and they had left the other two on their own? Not exactly perfect for what Megumi wanted, as it would have been best for all four of them to leave together, but something was much better than nothing. That just left the two there, to converse on their o- An arm had suddenly found its way around Megumi's shoulders, causing her to jump suddenly. Accompanied by a loud and southern voice, she knew exactly who was there. The loud and boisterous one. The girl had such a powerful grip, Megumi could do nothing but follow along with the hulking being. Was this person's intent to take her away and kill her? With a monstrous grip such as that, what was she to do? The other one that had left had caught up now, and the three of them, one more forcibly than the other two, had returned to the others that were there already. The loud one began to speak as though she had found the quest herself, and decided to bring the Swashbuckler along. How arrogant was this person!? A frown appeared on Megumi's face, as she glared at the hulk. Not only did she not find another 'member for their party' but she had taken the credit for the quest that Megumi had grabbed by mistake! Was this person so desperate for attention that they had to stoop to this level? The smaller one began speaking, mentioning that even she had noticed Megumi's mistake. Perhaps she was a bit too obvious for her own good, in her attempt to escape those who had surrounded her from there. A groan was held back from the Swashbuckler, as it might not serve to her benefit whatsoever for these people to know how frankly she didn't wish for their 'assistance' in this matter. With the burning desire to just escape through a puff of smoke, Megumi decided that she would ride this out for now, and ditch at the earliest convenience. At least the smaller girl that had accompanied the hulk, and the guy that was here already, were decent enough to offer their own names. She thought, at this point, maybe she would be stuck with this group for the time being. Looking down at the quest notice that was still in her hands, she looked at the large, four-digit reward that was there. Compared to her measly scraps of money that she now held, this would be a definite raise to her current sum. She thought about this, keeping her eyes fixed on the quest sheet, completely oblivious to the hand that was outstretched to her. Not too much longer after that thought, the other girl that was here retreated behind a building, only to return a few moments later aboard a horse. Using that as a distraction, Megumi broke herself from the wrapped state she was in, and cleared her throat. "I suppose I shall go along on this endeavor, for the rewards are high." It did bug her slightly that the horse-rider had assumed that the group was already declaring that the five gathered would be partaking this quest together, but she decided to let it slide for now. Perhaps it was better off in the long run to not make a scene of such a trivial matter, as this would only take longer to get done should she complain about every thing that bothered her with this cast of characters. Crossing her arms, and growing slightly more haughty, Megumi continued with an introduction. "My name is Tabitha Rosalin Kensington, Heiress of the Kensington Family Fortune. But you may call me Megumi, as is my screen name. I shall be your Swashbuckler for this mission." A smirk appeared on her face, as she flipped her long strands of white hair lightly. "We may proceed when all others are ready." She concluded. A huge smile was upon her face as the group began to fall together. This was looking like it was going to be a fun cast of characters to run with! Sure the one girl, Megumi her name was, seemed to be a little snobby, it was nothing a little old fashioned fighting couldn't snuff out. There would be hope for her yet. Hope in the form of glorious combat, battle is the great redeemer, the fiery crucible in which the only true heroes are forged. The one place where all men truly share the same rank, regardless of what kind of person they were going in. On top of that everyone seemed to be introducing themselves, so she figured she might as well introduce herself as well. " My name's Tristan Lannister, but my friends call me "Giantmom" on account of my usual build in these kinds of games." As if to prove her point, she hefted the sword once more to rest on her shoulder, leaving it to point high into the air with a sort of controlled reckless abandon. She turned to Dagger, her smile gleaming towards him. " Another southerner huh? Nice ta' meetcha!" she gave the man a very strong handshake, possibly too strong (she always did enjoy min/maxing strength). The other two girls seemed interesting enough as well. The fire haired one, Marashi, seemed fun enough; she came off towards Tristan as the sort of quiet but always with a master plan brewing type, and the other one, the small adorable bee looking one, turned out to be a guardian herself! What luck! The team seemed for the most part to be pretty well balanced. She looked forward to seeing the carnage they could wreck on the battlefield. She gave Megumi a big pat on the back before giving her a reassuring smile. " Lead the way, Taichou!" Words: 311 Tags: Megumi @quilava Daggerfel JadeWord Color: 8df120

Marashi was beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed by all the people when she came to the realization that they actually were going to form a party together. 5 people who didn’t really seem compatible as a whole. Things could get rough… but it was only 20 slimes… It couldn’t be too bad, right?
When Megumi, Lannister, and Marashi reunited with the group, the guy introduced himself properly as did the other girl… though now the girl was on a horse. A cavalier more than likely. Well, it certainly made sense. Cavalier subclasses were good for those who had low-mobility main classes, and Jade was a Guardian.
After things settled down for a second, Megumi agreed to be a part of the group making it an official group at five. She introduced herself, giving her full name and even a title… things suddenly made a whole lot more sense. An heiress.
“You should call her ‘Princess’,” Hikari giggled, but Marashi ignored her. The princ-, err, Megumi stated she was the Swashbuckler for the group. She would probably take the top damage on the team as she was the only weapon-specialist among the group.
The Lannister, then, officially introduced herself… and said that her nickname was Giantmom… yeah, no, she was just going to be called Lannister.
“I am Marashi,” Marashi said after Lannister told Megumi to lead the way, “I am a Shaman, but I do not have any healing abilities yet so I will be back-up damage.” Then she realized that Megumi hadn’t sent out party invites.
“Must be a newbie,” Hikari echoed her thoughts.
Marashi took a moment and opened up her Party interface and sent everyone else invitations. However since Megumi seemed to want to take charge, she appointed Megumi as the party leader once everyone else had accepted the party invitation.
“Now, we should be good to go,” Marashi said, hiding her party interface off to the side but kept it visible. She would need to get used to seeing it when she got to her healing and supportive skills.

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]we rise in the dying [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]Dagger met the handshake with a grip of his own, the farmboy more than used to shaking hands with people like that. He was interested in what she had meant by younger players, but figured he'd leave that conversation for another time. For now, it seemed like people were more interested in moving forward. Even when Tristan turned turned to him, her accent a welcome sound after two years with a Lander tutor, he met her grip with a vice-like one of his own.
"Pleasure's all mine Tristan. Maybe some time later we can hash out a few rounds'a stories 'bout home? Ain't had the luck ta' find another Southerner round these parts 'foe you came 'round."
When Jade had returned on her horse, he resisted the urge to reach out and give the animal a pat, noting how it didn't seem to pleased with the commotion around it. Introductions of the others were out of the way shortly after, and Dagger ended up deciding to call her Princess, since that's how she came off with both her attitude and actions. Marashi had introduced herself for a second time, making Dagger wonder if it was just an accident from the events involving Tristan or... if perhaps she had a slight memory issue. He'd keep an eye on her to figure out which one it might be.
Thankfully before things could get too awkward, the group was off, Marashi sending out the party invites before awarding the Princess title of party leader. Odd choice, but seemed like the kind one would make regarding the new 'leader's' character. Falling in line with the group he kept his warm smile as he looked to each person, taking mental notes on everyone.
'Megumi, the Princess, seems rather full a herself, but maybe she's got the right ta' be. I'll keep tabs on her and make sure she's good 'nough f'er the work ahead. Tristan, however, seems pretty darn sturdy in both character and will. Course' I'm just makin' early observations here, but I got a feelin' that gal could be dependable in a pinch. Same goes f'er Marashi and Jade, though somethin' tells me Marashi's either the quiet type, or the secretive kind. Either way, not my business to pry if'n I can help it. And Jade? Seems simple enough, kind heart like Ma and willin' to lay herself out there f'er a friend or comrade. Well... 'bout all I know f'er sure now, so just... file that away an we'll be done f'er now.'
He stayed silent as he made his mental notes, filing them in the back of his mind for a later date, when he could update them with anything he learned about his new comrades. "It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Kensington, It is an honor to meet you." She said trying to placate the woman from a different world than she could ever imagine. The Kensingtion family fortune, that must mean she is use to things a certain way. Jade wanted to make sure to not offend her, she had heard horrible stories about things that had happened to those of the ilk of the Kensingtons. She smiled and looked to the others. She accepted a party request from Marashhi and smiled as she noted Megumi was put as party leader. It seemed that Jade wasn't the only one that noticed they had to play careful with Megumi.
She then looked at them all and asked politely. "If I may, could I add you all to my friend list? " Jade said and if anyone said yes she would send the request through her menu. It was weird how they had a menu yet could also do things manually. She would smile and thank everyone who let her add them to her friend list with a "Thank you very much" as it was something they didn't have to do. She wondered if Megumi would, probably not at this rate. She had to admit everyone seemed nice thought she didn't know what to think about someone with a last name from that american show... what was it called game of something? She would probably remember it randomly later. Jade was rather fond of Marashi, Megumi and Dagger, but Tristan took some adjusting too. She meant well so Jade made sure to smile and be polite. After all that was what she was raised to do, well before her parents stopped really doing much of the raising and left it to her.
Jade cracked her neck and prepared to propose an idea. "Miss Kensingtion, I was wondering if you would like me to scout for us, I can keep ahead of everyone and fall back should I spot something dangerous. Else I am at your command as you are the party leader. " She proposed not wanting anyone to get hurt if she could help it. You never knew what might try to ambush a party so you had to move carefully. She didn't want to rock the boat and she was sure that Megumi would be nicer over all if it seemed she was in charge.
It was funny that normally she sort of took the lead but here she could tell she would just try to make sure everyone was safe, take the brunt of the damage and everything. After all she noticed that Tristan was built more for damage, unlike herself who was built to tank. Though she didn't have much in tank abilities at the moment. That was one thing she needed to fix as at the moment she couldn't help her party as much as she would like. Granted anything they faced, these slimes should be easy enough that it shouldn't be a problem. Well that was what jade thought anyways.

[attr="class","capsol"] After her wonderful introduction, Megumi had been finally addressed with the names of the other members. So rude that they had kept their own names to themselves. She offered a kind smile to the one named Jade, who seemed to respect her title and heritage, which she wanted nothing more than that. A special curtsy was given to the horse-rider as a symbol of mutual agreement. Finally, someone who understood Megumi's place in this world! "The feeling is mutual, Miss Jade." Now that the introductions had been made, the party invites were sent out accordingly. Begrudgingly, Megumi accepted, and noted that she had been placed as the party leader. Not that she was one to argue with the fact, but it felt much more natural that someone with the mentality of the hulking dolt just nearby the Swashbuckler. Their positive attitude might be better off spent leading the way, as Megumi wasn't necessarily one to lead a pack. But, some people are just thrust into power every so often in their lives, and this would be one of them. Though she would like to spend a moment to mentally appreciate herself, being entitled to the leader position of this small group, she was interrupted by a heavy slap to her back, setting her off balance. She stumbled two steps, and then glared back at the hulk. First she was trying to take the fact that Megumi had had the quest to begin with, and now she was making it seem like it was Megumi's place to lead! This one confused her to no end, and she would likely have to keep an eye out, to see what this person's true intentions were. Straightening herself back up, brushing off her clothing, as she heard the suggestion that had been made by Jade. She looked over at the girl, and tried to figure out if there was any actual benefit to sending a scout ahead. Given that this was a simple quest, there likely wouldn't be any need to do so. It might help later on down the road, but there wasn't much probability of there being much in the way of tough enemies along the road. Still, she had to appreciate Jade's politeness. "That won't be necessary, dear." Megumi responded to the horse-rider. It was almost like she had her own personal knight to help her along the way. But, that would be a thought for another time. Instead, Megumi turned to her map indicator, and noticed that there had been a new icon added to show which way to go, in order to get to the quest area. She started to face that direction, speaking clearly to the group. "We shall head to the designated area, and complete the mission as it is written. Upon completion, we shall return here and gather our rewards." The Swashbuckler started to make her way down the path at this point, though still speaking loudly enough for the others to hear her. "Be cautious, however. The enemies outnumber us 4 to 1, and if we are to be cornered, do not hesitate to fall back or alert someone else for aid. This may yet be any of our first combat experience, so let us make sure there are little-to-no mistakes." She finished addressing the group, her eyes fixed upon the road ahead, towards the indicator. The road that they would be along would take them out of the city within a little while of walking, and Megumi decided to remain silent for a majority of it. The fact that she was drawn into a group with some of these people was beyond her, but she couldn't help it. She had grabbed this quest, and was found out for having grabbed the wrong one. The least she could do, after her ploy had failed so miserably, would be to play along and get this quest done in the meantime. Besides, since these people were so willing to do the quest anyways, she figured she might as well make use of it. A hand was placed upon the rapier's hilt on her right shoulder. She had yet to do any actual combat with the piece of equipment, but she was certain that it would all go over well enough. For some reason, it just felt natural to hold these weapons that were banded to her side. Sure, Megumi had taken a few practice swings with them every so often during the two years that she had been stuck here, but nothing quite as intense as battle. Only time would tell, she figured, as her boot finally stepped across the boarder from the city into the wilderness. Tristan's smile grew wide at the mention of old stories. "Sure thing! Sounds like a hell of a time!" As she was done the other guardian girl spoke up asking for everyone's permission to add to her friends list. Tristan didn't hesitate for a second, sending the girl a friend invite as soon as she asked. "Sure thing! Can always use another Guardian to hang out with!" She continued to wear the huge grin on her face as the girl thanked everyone profusely and as they walked their way out of the town. Staring at the sky, her thoughts went towards home and her brothers. 'If only you guys could see me now' she thought, her brothers faces smiling back laying as the image in her mind. She was looking forward to finally getting to kill some things and earn back her title. Who knows, maybe even some fun shenanigans might happen along the way. The thought filled her with determination as she rested the sword along her shoulders and followed the group out towards the fields.

No one made any comment on Marashi sending out party invitations, and no one said anything about Megumi being the party leader. Seemed that the group would be quiet about party mechanics… that didn’t bode very well. Though it seemed that Jade was impressed with the group and asked if she could add everyone to her friend list. It wasn’t like anyone could stop her. Elder Tale’s Friend List was kind of odd. You can add random people to your list, and they would receive no notification. So essentially, you could stalk any person you wanted without them even knowing. Marashi, however, had no problems with that kind of thing. She played and partied with a lot with people she already knew so she didn’t see a whole lot of new people.
“I don’t care if you add me,” Marashi shrugged after a moment. Sometime after, Jade asked if Megumi wanted Jade to be the scout ahead. Megumi responded by stating that it wouldn’t be necessary… was it at that point, no…
Megumi continued on saying that they would go on and begin to fight slimes… or at least that was the simplified version. It seemed that she liked to fill her words with unnecessary adjectives and saying it in such a roundabout way. However, Marashi had a pretty good feeling that saying anything would be noise on deaf ears. Though, there were some matters that needed to be handled.
There would need to be a Field Monitor and an Operator at a minimum. Though instead of saying anything, Marashi just decided she would take care of both. After all, it would be her job as a support once she got some barrier skills. That would come later though. For now, she would do her best to do the job as a damager instead of a full support. It would be interesting to say the least.

| but somewhere here in between these city walls | It seemed the party was squared away, everyone either complacent with the choice of leadership or, like himself, unwilling to say anything about it. Jade got into the full swing of things by offering to scout ahead, which made sense considering the increased movement speed she would possess on horseback, though the scouting wouldn't be necessary until they were out of town and in the fields beyond. Once the Princess had finished her spiel Dagger felt like he'd need to do something more than just take orders. He gave an internal sigh as he looked over the selection their party had once more.
The Princess was a swashbuckler one of the weapons specialist classes like Assassin or Bard, which meant she could be front line but would be no where near as tanky as Tristan, Jade or himself, the group members who had chosen classes of the warrior variety. She would be playing more... guerrilla tactics was the term? Darting in and out between the Guardians and himself. Of course, the next he focused on were the pair of Guardians. It was pretty obvious the two of them had different focuses in their build, Jade the stalwart defender of sorts and Tristan, like himself, focused more on dealing damage. This was good, in a way, as the three of them could easily juggle aggro so long as they communicated right. Last, but of course not least was Marashi, the Shaman. She had already admitted to being focused on damage early, but planned to follow through with support skills later. Probably for the best, considering you might not always find a suitable partner to travel with. She would have the back line, which meant we needed to keep a solid eye on any spawns behind the group, just in case.
It would take some work, but the group could do some real good together. And, like the Princess had mentioned, their goal was twenty slimes, four to one ratio which meant each person needed to kill four in order to split the work evenly. Dagger shook his head as he smiled, thinking to himself.

notes here. words:508 | Jade gladly sent the friend requests, glad to have some people on there that she would not mind her contacting them in the future. She was still used to another game where you asked, so that people weren’t annoyed by the little icon popping up on if they wanted to be friends or not. She followed everyone, making sure to keep a look out, as she didn’t want Arcadia spooked. The horse still wasn’t much good in combat, better than a non-cavalier mount, but still something you didn’t want to have happen in a middle of a fight.
She kept marching along the path, staying quiet, keeping Arcadia at an slow pace. It was so much slower, having to follow the pace of those stuck on foot. It was odd to think that this group of people were going to kill slimes together, they were an odd assortment. You had the wealthy kid who was clearly use to a whole different world than the others. You had kind and loud Tristian, polite and kind Daggerfel, quiet and brooding Marashi. They were all people who for some reason or another had put off leveling until now. That was what really intrigued jade. She was sure she was one of the few left at a low level at this point. She had spent so much time helping others that she had sort of just never thought about leveling or doing things herself other than small things to get by.
Jade smiled and looked over them and around, making sure that they were all safe, she worried always about people who she was acquainted with. It was just what she did so thus she kept an eye out and would also make sure to offer water or something if they took a break. It was just what she was used to. She didn’t mind and was more than happy to worry about everyone silently.
To think she had come this far, in this world. She was finally making something of herself and doing something for her, not others. It was a scary step for her, she had partially hid behind the kids she had taken care of for the last couple years. She hadn’t wanted to admit it but it was the truth. She had been hoping that this was a dream or that it would be solved by someone else. But none of that seemed to happen. Now it was two years later and she was tired of hiding. She was going to if nothing else make a life here. She would always remember her family in the real world but this was her world now.
Jade was going to make a life of this world, perhaps find someone to date, level and make a living that would allow her to do whatever she might want to do. She would have to explore the world and find out what that was. Jade wasn’t really sure what to do in this world but for now she would just explore all she could.
