I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
Weegee returned to his home, tossing the stacks of lumber from his shoulder onto the rack he used to store his supplies. He gave a sigh, for once one of relief more than anything, simply glad to be within some walls for once. It was unusual, he really didn't like being locked away from the open sky anymore but these walls he built himself were somehow, different.
"You know, the best part is that we have our own workshop I believe."
'You mean "you" not "we", right?' I don't want anything to do with your crazy shenanigans. Especially involving your stupid little projects.'
The darker voice of his counterpart echoed in response to his own words. Wegee just shook his head as he placed his handsaw on the workbench and prepared to do some work.
"Alright, fine then. Yes, Zeek. I do mean me, not we, if you must have it your way as always."
The voice scoffed lightly, watching their body as Weegee began carving the longest of the logs into a thinner pole. Zeek's curiosity began to rise, and before long he decided to ask the question he had burning in his mind.
'So, what in the hell are you even making this time?'
He never stopped working, even as he stripped away layer after layer of the wood. He took some coarse paper and began sanding the pole down to a smooth finish before he decided to speak.
"A shovel. Well, more precisely a spear with a shovel-like head."

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
The silence in their mind was almost jarring. He could feel the disbelief and shock in Zeek's mind almost as if it were his own. Weegee gave a slight, dry chuckle as he laid the shaft down on the finishing table. It was a great feeling to know that the person you shared a body with couldn't read your mind. It was a rather, calming kind of sensation if he had to be honest about it.
"And why yes, I do indeed plan to make the thing entirely out of wood."
Grabbing a rather large log, he placed it upon the table and made a few measurements before cutting out a sizable plank.
"Let me see, it should be more than enough to make the head about five inches long, one and a half thick with a slight bevel. Well, if anything I can make another if I find this to be inadequate."
He was rather satisfied that his idea had so easily silenced the annoying banter between himself and Zeek as he began carving away at the plank, slowly crafting it into a decent shovel head. He made a few carvings into the head, a few simple depictions of some leaves. With those two pieces placed on the finishing table, he moved to the final piece. What was a shovel... spear... thing without a handle? Taking another plank from the remainder of the log he had just used, he carved out another plank and began tracing the outline of a handle.

I GET ALONG WITH THE VOICES INSIDE OF MY HEAD
It was a simple affair, an ordinary pole grip with a hand guard, somewhat shaped like the letter D with a slot for attaching the pole at its curve. As the piece began to form with each shaving of wood he carved away, he made plans for the additional designs he wanted to inlay into it. He knew this was only going to be a temporary weapon, but it would serve as a wonderful base for when he decided to upgrade to an actual metal version. As the last chunk of wood fell from the handle, he sanded it down with coarse paper and carved marking resembling vines into the sides, and leaves into the handle bar itself. And, with the decoration out of the way, formed the entire piece by affixing the pole to the receptacles in both the shovel head and handle. Giving it one last look, he nailed and glued the pieces together and filed the edge of the head to a fine point.
"And, finished."
Weegee looked over his newest creation, running his fingertips along the wood and feeling its grain. It was amazing, to know that he could create practically anything he could ever want, if only he put his mind to the task. Houses, weapons, armor, hell someone had even remade trains in this world. Who knew what else we could... and his train of thought was immediately cut off as the voice inside his head finally spoke.
'Good, now you can tend to your garden with it.'
Weegee chuckled as he made his way out of the workshop.
"Actually, I plan to fight with it."
