It was the starter town. He remembered coming here when he first started. Unfortunately for him, he decided to start a new character on the day the new expansion came on. He sighed as he looked all around him and saw what seemed to be an all too realistic model of London. Well, he would have liked to say it was a model, but it was reality. Everything looked real, everything felt real. Ryuunosuke knelt down and felt the ground. He picked up a handful of dirt and turned his hand sideways and allowed it to fall through. He grasped the last of the grains of sand between his fingers, feeling every single particle against the grooves of his fingers, or at least what seemed to be his fingers. This was real.
He stood from his kneeling position and he sighed, taking in as much as he could as reality. This was his reality now… a world he thought was virtual and fake, had become something that he would live. “So this is my fate…” he said looking at his attire. He closed his cloak after receding his hands back into it, and then dropping it to his sides. He began to walk towards the market. Chatter was abound, much moreso than he would’ve thought in game, but much alike to what a normal medieval market would have been. The NPCs, or People of the Land as they were called, had begun dialogue that a normal computer program could not say. They were real beings interacting with each other. He walked towards a stand that was selling fruit. He looked and held the fruit with his hands, still trying to grasp the reality of the situation, however for him, it was still taking a bit of time to process.
He placed the fruit down and looked towards the outer gates of London and where he was sure there’d be monsters. He wondered if death would really cause him to die or if it would allow him to regenerate like normal. Was there a price for death? What was happening. “WHAT IS HAPPENING?!” he bellowed, making what he thought known to the world. His eyes were closed, trying to force as much power through his lungs in hopes that it would wake him up from this nightmare. To no avail, he was still there. He dropped to both knees, holding back his tears, unable to comprehend what was happening. His fists dropped onto the ground, firmly pounding it against the solid rock and then let out a gasp of exhaustion. “What do I do?” he muttered under his breath. “How is this possible?” all good questions that he was sure no one could really answer. “Help me…” he’d let out in a whimper to no one in particular. After waking at the inn after her recent hunt, Tessia got up and stayed around the town square for a little while. She listened to people talk and tried to figure out how to best adapt to this new environment. She was shocked to learn that even children got caught up in this whole affair. Thinking of making a clinic/shelter for people who needed it, Tessia moved about the town easily, listening in on interesting talk or asking a few questions here and there.
People were scared. This much was certain as she heard all kinds of worries, from sickness to wealth, to how long this whole thing would last. some had accepted it as the new world without fail. Others seemed content on just waiting it out safely in the town. Luckily, she saw a few groups of people forming here and there to venture out into this game. Perhaps no longer a game but a struggle for everyone involved. More than once, Tessia had come across players that just seemed so lost in thought that they spaced out, not talking to anyone or responding until touched. She had hopes of at least trying to ease everyone's worry's even a little with her shop idea, even if she had to give things away.
Wandering around spent a good few hours of her day. Moving to a stop just outside of the market area, she spotted a young man also looking off into the distance. Dressed similar to herself, he also seemed like a assassin player type. What was a bit concerning was in the next moment, he yelled really loudly and seemed to almost shrink into himself. Tessia forgot her thoughts and rushed up to him, as several people noticed but didn't seem to eager to help.
"Hey there um, everything's going to be ok. Come on, stand up." she approached and patted the man on the shoulder, hoping she at least sounded comforting. Talking to someone could also help her along, give her something to focus her nervous energy into. Waiting for him to notice she looks him over a little, taking in his appearance. She kept back slightly just in case he decided to lash out at her, though knowing the game she knew what would happen.

Kumori looked up from his position, to see a woman. It seemed she was similarly clad and was most likely an assassin as well. “Thank you…” he’d answer, being lifted onto his feet. It was embarrassing, but he simply felt too much sorrow. “D-do you know what’s happening to us? Do you know why we’re all here?” he asked, trying to place his foundations onto something solid. He simply couldn’t think right now, he couldn’t understand what was happening. As his feet finally became firm again, Kumori finally regained his ability to control himself. His hands opened and closed, and finally he stood up with his own two feet and placed strength and weight onto his legs.
He looked at the woman who helped him and nodded. “I’m sorry… the event just took more of me than I thought,” he replied. The People of the Land turned away from them, seeing that their distraction was finally being dealt with. “My name is Kumori… I believe we are pretty much the same class… It’s nice to meet you, and thank you, again.” he said. He waited for the woman to release him from her grip so it would not be as awkward as it would be. OOC NOTES: 205 words

Tessia helps the young man names Kumori to a nearby table of a outside eatery. Without saying anything, she scoots off to the counter and orders a cool drink for herself and him. Coming back to him she nods and scoots him the drink. "It's good to meet you Kunmori, my names Tessia." she sits across from him and sips at her drink, hoping that the simple gesture helps calm his nerves.
"Yes, your right to have a disorientation about this new world, a lot of new players are feeling the same way you are. I see it as a opportunity to help each other more, and perhaps become better people from it. Currently, there has been a few groups of players that have ventured out of town and returned safely. And not to long ago, it was assured that we revive after dying out there, though I am sure that comes at a cost as well." She tried to sound reassuring at least to the young man.
Sipping at her drink a little more, she watched his reactions, hoping that at least her aid had proven helpful. In a way she was being selfish, and somewhat bold as opposed to her usual self. Al she wanted was for everyone to at least be able to smile like they used too, and not allow such a odd fate to be discouraging. Relaxing a little in her chair she listens to Kumori's responses.

Kumori took the drink she offered him and thanked her. He took a sip from the cool liquid and it helped refresh him. It also helped calm his nerves down. Tessia began explaining that he wasn’t the first to break down like that, however it didn’t surprise him. There were very few reactions for a person to take when they found out their game had become reality. Panic would be the most common, and truthfully the most raw and true reaction.
Those who were able to get through the change quickly struck Kumori as uncommon, rare, and odd, however it was easier for him to react first and then come to his senses and deal with the situation at hand, at least, that’s how he saw the larger situations. Events that he felt he was personally involved in the situation. Now that the emotional part of his routine was done with, he would now have to analyze the situation he was in, and if possible find a solution. He began to enter deep thought. After a few seconds of receding into his mind, Kumori realized that he was still with someone. He shook his head. “My apologies. Sometimes I begin to analyze the situation after I calm down… But it seems there isn’t really a way to get out of this at the moment, so is the only real way to get through this life, to live it?” he asked rhetorically and sighed. “That is the answer… isn’t it…” still unable to comprehend the truth of what was happening. He looked at the drink and spilled some onto the table and poked at the puddle it made. He knew it felt real, but how could he know if this was reality? There was no way to test it other than to believe that it was reality. He then looked to Tessia and sighed aloud.
“Were you panicky when you first found out?” he asked.

"Panicky? I was a little put off by it but more like getting used to the idea of not seeing my family anytime soon. I was in college at the time, so I really was more worried about them. Once i adjusted better to using the game's controls and environment, I rushed off to at least try to make something of myself. As my father said, "Do what you can for others and do it well." I plan on making it back to them someday, and to that end I will also try to be useful to those around me."
Scooting back in her chair, she sighs and stares at the sky. It was a distant hope she had to be back with them. She was here now and had to make up her mind to push forward and help all those involved. Nodding to herself she sits forward again and smiles at Kumori. "I will be opening a clinic soon and continue my practices of being a pharmacist. Your welcome to come by sometime if you ever need a free potion or advice." She smiles again and sips at her almost empty drink.
"I sort of rambled but, I am glad i could help you out. We all need someone we can call on to talk or just be around in times like this. To the end of the game Kumori.", she raises her glass as if to offer a toast and cant help but feel a little giddy. She was on her way to being a much greater help instead of sniveling in the corner and wishing she wasn't there. Sending Kumori a friend request, Tessia smiles once more at her new found friend, hoping that she could at some point go hunting with him.

Kumori was pretty appreciative of this woman’s efforts in consoling him. She had practically explained to him what her thought process was when she first discovered of the debacle they were in and then proceeded to tell him of her life story. It seemed that she was still in college, pharmacy to be exact. While the medical field had once been an aspiration for the young man, he had curbed that dream for another. She had explained wise words from a wise man, and that was to do what you can for others. While Kumori understood what he needed to do, he was still somewhat hesitant, but still grateful for the words of the wise man. If it were not for him, who knows how long he would have been on his knees, exasperated and weak, looking for help.
Kumori nodded and thanked her. “It is rare, for someone to help another without expecting anything in return, so I must extend the same to you… in thanks for your help, you may call for my aid whenever you wish. I will also advertise your shop, free of charge, when you set it up that is,” he said and winked at her. It was his hope to build the friendship that this woman had initiated. Kumori raised his glass to hers and clanked them together. “To the end game, should there be one,” he replied in turn. Kumori accepted the friend request that she had sent.
“I know I’m asking for a lot already, but if you don’t mind, could you teach me the ropes of the new system? he asked. OOC NOTES: 270 words

"Well, seeing as you are the same class as me, I can teach you a little of what I have learned. Let's go out into the town edge, I expect there to be a good place to practice." She smiled and finished off her drink easily, getting up to guide Kumori to the spot she had found, net to some old dilapidated building. "Here's good. People come here to practice some stuff and whatnot, even if it's not really combat."
She goes on to explain that the system seems to respond better when you activate your skills mentally, or in some cases just by taking a certain stance. Activating her Accel Dance, she darts about with the newly acquired speed without even having to say the skills name. "Obviously, for ones like us, we will have to remain quiet a lot. This is too our advantage." Moving right along, she also shows him that some skills seems to activate passively even though normally they would require a touch.
Slipping behind the cover of a wall, Tessia crouches and feels the activation of her Hide Walk. Keeping low and sneaking along until she can be seen, she moves along as silent as a shadow. Standing up and smiling happily, she dusts at her armor a little. "Well, that is about all i know for now. It seems the more we use the auto system less, the more it responds to us. Or so I've seen thus far. Sorry if its not a lot to go on.", she laughs nervously a little but grins at Kumori. She had hopes of meeting him again for a more official hunt later.
