Metro walked along the dirt pathway lacing through the forest. He had his hands behind his head as he leisurely strolled along. He figured since the only players around were lower level then he was or they were about the same level so they would probably try to avoid a fight instead of testing fate. He heard red and blues eyes chatting away in the back of his head. It was nice that they were able to talk casually like this for once. Its been a while since there was a calm situation in his life, between dealing with being hunted down on a day to day basis and trying to deal with nala everyday while struggling with the fact that he was clinically insane. If he went to a therapist for his insanity they would probably throw him in a house for loons. Plans for world domination along with two completely separate personas living it out in his brain who can occasionally take over his body along with changing his eye color would stump the most prestigious of mental doctors. He liked being insane however, he always figured if one day he woke up and was actually sane he would kill himself. He couldn’t handle the quietness inside of his head, the empty feeling he would have because they weren’t there. He knew he wouldn’t actually kill himself but life as he knew it would be nothing but a slow death. “are you thinking about your insanity again? Geese we need to get you a girlfriend so your not so depressed all the time.” Piped up blue eyes, straying from his conversation with red eyes. “you think so huh? Well I do have a girl roommate that might fit the bill.” Replied metro out loud. He never cared for relationships much simply due to the fact that he hated people. This could stem from the day to day beatings he would receive from the local thugs which didn’t make him seem very desirable but what did he care, if a girl wanted his then she would say something straight to his face he thought. Blue eyes laughed at this thought, blue eyes clearly knew more about people then he did just from the nature of his curiosity and human interaction experimentation. He saw things differently from metro in a way that made blue eyes smarter then he was. “hey pin prick where are we going?” red eyes talked with the same angry tone he always did. “we are going to the lake that’s just up ahead.” Metro replied as he strayed off the path and into the trees.
He walked into a clearing with a large lake in the center with trees surrounding it. There was enough space between the trees and the lake where metro could sit and feel the breeze against his skin. Since today was one of his rest days he decided to relax by one of his favorite spots. He laid back and watched the clouds go by wondering where the day would take him.

Do you believe in ghosts? “aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah……” A pair of arms and legs dangled down off the sides of a tree limb, all tension in them dispersed as the player lying on his back let his body relax. It felt good to do such a thing after an extremely long night. His stomach was full from some disgusting food he had just ate, his experience bar a quarter of the ways up towards the next level after the slaughter he had just concluded, and his body wanted to sleep. For the first time since he was thrown into the game, Saber truly, one hundred percent felt like taking a day off. However, not just any day off. He wanted to lounge in the tree all day without moving. The position he was in was beautiful, majestic, and made him feel as if he was lighter than air. Sort of, seeing as gravity was slowly pulling at his joints. Yet it felt good. He could feel the tired, worn out muscles slowly being pulled at by the world. He had never been given a massage before, but what he was feeling now was pretty close to such a thing. It was good, and he didn’t want it to stop. Well, as long as his limbs didn’t actually pop out of place. That would have been bad, and he would be in pain; the exact opposite feeling of what he was trying to get.
And that pain was something he was beginning to feel very quickly. After only a minute of lying in his awkward position, Saber felt his shoulders start to tug uncomfortably and his legs strained a little, and it hurt. He winced at the feeling and forced himself to lift his body up, retracting the relaxed limbs back onto the tree so he could support himself. It was weird using the flimsy, jiggly muscles again but Saber forced his arms and legs to lift his body up. He slid himself back and rested his back gently against the trunk of the tree, getting himself nice and comfortable once again. The day was young for him, and that was good; that meant more sleep. Though, he wouldn’t complain about such a thing. He deserved it after the boot camp like month he had put himself through. The large pair of digits which lingered in the corner of his eye, fifty-one, was like an invisible crown he wore. So far in his travels, he had not come across another person anywhere near his own strength. Such an advantage helped him remain out of parties and on his own, but it also helped him rescue others who were in distress. Compared to everything else, saving others left much more of an impression on him.
Power was something Saber wanted in the world around him. He wanted to reach the top quickly and he would do anything to get it. Yet, he refused to sacrifice another in order to reach his goal. Whether it was a male or female crying for help, Saber was willing to throw himself into a skirmish to ensure their safety. He was no tank so he couldn’t grab the attention of a handful of monsters. He was no magician so he couldn’t heal the person he was saving, buff them to increase their skills, or cast a powerful spell that could wipe everything out in one hit. No, Saber was an assassin. He was forced to kill one monster at a time with speed and precision. He could kill a dozen goblins swiftly and elegantly, but there was a huge chance of his VIP being hurt. Power, practice, and preparedness for such situations were what helped Saber survive in such situations. As a level fifty-one he was able to slaughter nearly every monster in the area, but sometimes it wasn’t enough. He needed more than level strength; he needed some actual equipment.
A soft sigh escaped the man’s lips as he adjusted himself in his seated position. Closing his eyes, Saber got comfortable as he accepted the fact that materials for such weaponry and armor would be scarce for the time being. He would have to deal with low level gear until he was more confident in his abilities. He would also need to get a group together at some point to take on the dungeon. Once he did that, Saber could guarantee that his plan for the future would come true. For now he simply had to continue to grind, continue to fight, and continue to level. He was more than half-way to the last known level cap for the game and he was ready to handle the pressure.
Yet, doing so required sleep, food, and simply relaxation needs. Before Saber could fully accomplish two out of the three, sleep and relaxation, he heard a voice off to his left. It wasn’t extremely loud, nor was it threatening. The voice seemed as if he was just holding a basic conversation. With his eyes closed, Saber continued to listen quietly from his position. Very few players ever came to where he was so if it was a player, he expected them to simply continue on by. Such expectations were thrashed when he heard the footsteps coming closer. Saber groaned lightly and activated one of his stealth skills, Hiding Entry. The skill allowed him to essentially curve the world around him, turning him into just another piece of bark on the tree to put it simply. He would hide there, quietly listening to the footsteps and the approaching person speak once more until the sound of movement was nearly right beneath him. Then, he finally opened his eyes and looked down.
“Well, that’s a sight.” The player thought to himself as he watched the newcomer take a seat right in the middle of the grass. From the looks of it, he would be staying a while so Saber relaxed himself and let his skill deactivate. Once he revealed himself, the man leaned back against the tree again and shut his eyes once more. “Careful. The water might bite.” Saber spoke out loud, mainly just to make the other person aware of his presence. If he remained in the tree and the player turned around to see him there, there was the chance Saber could fall under attack. On the other hand, if the other player knew he was there and wasn’t exactly afraid, then the chance for a player attack dropped. That would prove less troublesome, and Saber liked less troublesome.
