A Tale of 2 Siblings [Hunting 4 Pitted Boards] w/Tessia

The grasslands that made up the near endless fields of this virtual wilderness were a wonder to behold, sitting at the top of a small hill a young man with red hair found himself gazing out towards the very edge of the vast fields, wondering just how far it went. Then suddenly a breeze would sweep in across the fields, its cold air pushing against Bunji's face causing loose bangs of his hair to dance gently with the brush of the wind. Letting himself become lost in the peaceful moment the man would close his eyes shut, allowing his body to relax as his ears wiggled atop his head seemingly enjoying the cool breeze as well, once the cooling winds settled to a more calm breeze; he would open his eyes. This time his mind wandered on the fact that he was waiting for someone, he was not here alone, he was here taking up a job with his sister Tessia luckily after their run in with the slimes they had exchanged information making it easier for the duo to stay in touch. It was through these means that he had sent her the message, inviting her to meet him out here so they could deal with this simple job, which was simply slaying a few boars out in the wilds.

Standing from his sitting position he would stretch out his limbs, he would reach down grabbing his katana from the floor holding it by the scabbard, he looked around wondering where his sister was at, maybe she was late? He would slip his scabbard into the belt around his waist, making sure it was securely snuggled into place standing there he rested his hand on the scabbard of his katana. Walking over to a nearby tree he would let his back rest on the solid surface of the tree, with arms crossed over his chest he would stand there continuing to wait for his sister his tail wagging side to side behind him.

Tessia had woke early to get a shower and eat a little something.  She received the message right in the middle of her nibbling on some toast.  Gathering up her battle ax, she headed for the town gates loving how it was yet another nice day in Elder Tale.  She wandered amiably down the well walked path to the Savil Flower Grove.  Hunting the boars would prove easy for them, hopefully they could avoid aggroing anything too big for them to handle.

Adjusting her ax on her shoulder, Tessia picked up her hiking pace a little.  She was never one to keep someone waiting and had hoped that her Bro wouldn't be too miffed at her.  Grinning a little as she made it out into the wide open area, she could spot him standing under a shady tree.  Waving jovially to him she calls out, "Hey, sorry to keep you waiting!  I'm here!"  

She moves to a stop under the tree and beams her usual smile at him.  Maybe this quest could be just as much fun as the last, and hopefully just as efficient.  More often than not when they would team up, it was always to take down a target with maximum efficiency on both ends.  Its what made them such a good match, Bunji with his head-on fighting, and her with her quiet approach and deadly single strikes.

His eyes were shut, and he was simply enjoying the second cool breeze that found itself sweeping in when suddenly a familiar voice called out to him causing his ears to wiggle as he pin pointed the location of the voice; opening his eyes he focused those crimson orbs on the familiar face of his smiling sister. With a soft smile on his features he gave her a nod of the head "No worries, we should get moving further out in the fields though, I did some scouting earlier. Therese a group of boars just over those hills" he explained, turning his face towards the hills he spoke of. With one final look towards his sister he motioned with his head for her to follow along, "Shall we?" he asked the rhetorical question as he began to descend down the side of the hill making his way down to the flat grounds of the fields. Walking along he would keep his eyes open making sure there was no hordes of boars close by, once he started ascending up the side of the hill he would march up to the top where he came to a stop once he reached it.

As he had said, down below the group of boars were gathered up into a small cluster. Bunji reached for the hilt of his sword, "Same tactic as always right?" he asked Tessia giving her a look coupled with a smile, "Let me get all their aggro, then we work from there, you take them from the blind spots..." drawing his katana swiftly he held the sword to his side the polished blade reflecting the artificial sunlight. Taking a stance he would give his sister one last thumbs up "Let's kick some ass" he said with a chuckle before finding himself running down the hill, his eyes focused on the boars taking notice of the very first one that was within reach. Once he stepped into striking range Bunji would deliver a strong vertical slash aiming downward at the pig, squealing on contact he chipped off some of its HP, but not all of it. Spinning his sword in his hands he would watch as the other pigs turned their attention on him seemingly growling at the intruder who had attacked their brother. Waiting for the incoming horde, Bunji took a stance ready to react.

Nodding at the thought of taking on a small group of boars, Tessia slips her ax off her back holster and shoulders it.  Keeping pace with her Bro as he slid down the hills towards their destination, she couldn't help but wonder how he was doing.  Maybe eating right, or at least finding somewhere to rest ok?  She mentally reminded herself to ask later as the group came into view.

As Bunji rushed forward, Tessia activated Accel Dance and kept pace easily with her charging companion.  Already feeling the grip of speed behind her weapon, she darted outward and to the left of the group very quickly.  She had focused her Accel Dance to speed her leg movements as well as her weapons strike.  Lashing out at the rear pig with a quick lunge, she didn't wait for her weapon to finish moving, instead she darted full circle around the group and back behind her Bro.  

Dealing very little damage, she had to be sure to keep her strikes well coordinated, as her feet matched his and she lowered her stance a little to imitate his as well.  The pig she struck turned about looking very confused as to what hit it just like she had planned.  If she could keep her speed behind her going, And her Bro didn't move too much, she could easily make the pigs think she was elsewhere.  since this terrain offered little in the way of cover, Tessia used her partners own shadow to hide.

Crimson eyes remained fixed on the animals in front of him that charged forward he was ready when suddenly he spotted one of the pigs stop its charge entirely, he would blink catching just a glimpse of what looked like a blur of speed dash by behind the pigs. He would keep his firm stance, moving back out of range of one of the boars lucky for him these things had very limited range in their attacks. What he had not noticed is that his sister was dancing in his shadow staying hidden from view, whatever the case was he was focused on the battle he needed to not get hit by these little piggies, they were not so harmless in a pack. The boar he had originally struck was closing the distance fast, Bunji however was thinking ahead moving in with a quick wipe of his katana he struck the boar on the side. This landed flush causing the boar to stumble in its charge, taking advantage of this he moved in using a downward stirke to slam the sword onto the boars body when it made contact he slashed the rest of its HP. With that he would relax from his stance watching as the boar burst into date fragments, turning to the other boars that surrounded him he would smirk taking a stance.

"Hey sis..." he would say in a loud tone, "I'm going to move a bit quick now so, you might want to move yourself" he said with a chuckle before activating his skill. Stepping forward he would gain a boost in speed movement, allowing him to cover ground a lot faster thanks to Kabutowari those large crimson eyes of his would focus on the boar he intended to strike down, using his speed he would move past the first pig focusing on the one behind it, swinging his sword vertically he would bring his katana down slamming it down on the boars head. The attack would deal extra damage with the ability of the skill that added onto the damage if the target had full HP, taking advantage of that he would swing his katana upwards hitting the boar again. All the while he was hoping his sister had taken advantage of the uproar he was causing, and was going to move in for another strike.

Timing the activation of her Accel Dance with her Bros skill, Tessia intended to use as much of the opportunity as she could.  Bolting out much faster then before, she had to move in a wider circle as making turns was rather difficult at such a speed.  However, this time she would end that boar she nicked.  Dashing this time at the creature's left as it still looked about, Tessia comes to a full stop with all of that forward momentum going straight down.

Her ax comes speeding forward in such a blur it almost fades from view, the intimidating weapon slicing clean through the boar as she rotates the handle for it to fall flat on the ground, instead of sticking into the soft dirt.  The boar stood still, not quite knowing what had just transpired, the game almost lagging a bit to calculate the telling blow on its HP.  Tessia twirls about, snapping up one leg and following up with the other to gain height as she propels herself at the other boar her Bro had stuck.  The boar she hit finally burst into data as she advanced to the next one.

She missed.  Spinning away from her strike, the boar next to its engaged brother noticed her and struck, tackling into her back as she spun away.  Grunting from the blow, Tessia takes a guard stance and slips low, her ax up in front of her in case the boar that hit decided to try again.  Thanks to her low HP, a good 1/4 was gone already.  She had to be sure to avoid attacks, and she hoped her Bro could shift a little more so she could disappear behind him again.  "Gah, whoops.  Gotta try harder then that.", she said as she focused on Accel Dance yet again.

He was so focused on his own battle that he failed to see what his sister was up to all he knew was that he had to avoid the incoming boars, moving left then right he avoided them both turning though he would notice something one of the boars take its attention from the fight. He would notice his sister in a fighting stance, but also noticed her lower health bar his eyes widened in alert and his ears stood upright. Running towards the boar that was heading towards his sister he completely evaded the boar that was attacking him, focusing his attention on that boar Bunji would hold out his right hand a white light glowing around his palm. Activating Holy Banishment he would fire a concentrated beam of white energy that would smash into the boar, making it surprisingly tame for a few seconds, knowing the time limit he would stop his charge looking at Tessia. "Finish it off s--" before he could finish he would be hit on the side, the force of the attack was substantial enough to knock Bunji on his side forcing him to roll to his feet.

Landing on both feet he would look over at the boar that had attacked him, noticing his HP deplete just a bit he would smirk "Sneaky bastard!" he called out as he watched the confident boar come in for another strike, bending at the knees he would jump over the creature allowing it to pass under his feet. Landing behind it he turned his focus towards the boar watching as it slid its hoofs across the ground picking up dust as it came to a stop, focusing his energy once more he moved forward slashing the boar twice with his katana, the attacks caused it to squeal and of course lose HP. Stepping into his next slash Bunji would strike downward, then upward with a swift movement of the arm he would step back watching as the pig burst into data crystals. Relaxing from his attack he turned towards Tessia, wondering if she was done with her battle.

Knowing she had to make the most of the pacifying effect of her Bro's attack, Tessia immediately rushed forward and brought her ax up high over her head as her knees flexed.  Bringing the ax down in a huge overhead chop, like she was splitting wood, it cleaves the injured boar in two and bursts into data.  She grins as she stands and sees her partner grinning as well, his opponent gone into the data stream.  

She leaped up and extendd her fist for a well earned bumpish.  Laughing a little and sheathing her ax atop her back once more, Tessia sighs a little and stretches.  "Whew, that was a really nice round there Bro.  We keep this up we will be stronger in no time!"  She couldn't keep that goofy grin of hers off her face as she lead the way back to the town, she was sure she looked quite silly.  

"Hey, let's get some good food and rest up a bit.  We deserve it after a hunt like that." she said, not waiting to hear any word from Bunji, she darted for the nearest food stand.  After buying them both a cold drink and some burgers, she sat with her Bro and made small talk.  She had to admit these small times with him were really fun, even after a rough fight.

Those crimson orbs of his watched as Tessia finished off her enemy, chopping down her axe on the enemy the young fox tail would wag his tail side to side feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over him as the mission came to an end, well more like the the hunt came to an end. With the boar gone into the data stream, the field was cleared their enemies were all taken care of Bunji would rest a hand on the scabbard of his katana holding it in place as he walked over towards his sister. Without a moment of hesitation his right hand came up, his fist closed as he lightly tapped his knuckles against her doing their signature 'bumpish' gesture that the two shared, it may have looked like a normal fist bump; but between them it was exclusive for the brother and sister. With a nod of the head he was agreeing with her words, "Yeah, it was a good hunt alright...that boar hit pretty hard, but even then we still came out on top" he said to the girl not wasting any time she was immediately heading back to town, he would be quick to catch up not wanting to be left behind.

The journey back to town was filled with chit chat as the two caught up on what they had been up to since their last mission together, and even before that, they had after all just found each other just recently. Which was funny because of all the ways they could have crossed paths, it was in front of a mission board that Tessia had approached him obviously she remembered his gestures, and his typical character style; otherwise they could have walked right past each other, and never noticed. Overall though, the fox tail was happy that he had at least his sister around in this virtual world, someone he was familiar with, and someone he could count on when he needed it most. Upon their arrival in town he would follow after her as she bolted off towards the nearest shop, when the two got their food he found himself sitting alongside Tessia enjoying the meal, and engaging in more chatter with his sister.
