Claim Verification System
- Due to the effectiveness of the Claim System for AP, this system will be adapted to crafting claims.
- A method to handle the claims backlog by having the members themselves check each others' claims.
- Members will be held with a level of trust should this system be used. It may be suspended if deemed necessary.
- You may not verify any of the following claims:
- Research claim (if combined with a crafting claim, however, you may go ahead and verify the crafting claim portion)
- Equipment reforges or accessories that use reforge-based effects (can be provisionally approved but the mod approving the claim has the final word in deciding the reforge effects)
- How to verify crafting claims:
- You are recommended to pull up the Crafting recipe tab to make sure the crafting recipe is exactly the same as what the claim says: log-horizon.proboards.com/thread/32/- When you verify claims, you must verify the bottom-most claim available. If a mod has replied to a claim or if there have already been two verifications, you may leave that claim alone and move on to the next available one.
- Check to see if the person has the required materials in their inventory. For example, refer to my profile: log-horizon.proboards.com/user/5 . Hover over the Material icon and it shows that I have one Lv10 Material. Most recipes will require 3-4 materials, check the recipe for details.
- Note that for Alchemists, if it's a standard craft, they will usually generate the Mana Fragments in the thread itself. If it's a speed craft, make sure that they possess either Mana Fragments as a shop item or in their profile.
- Follow the objectives for Standard or Speed craft. Keep in mind any bonuses that the crafter may have listed. For example, Housekeepers can craft 5 levels above their crafting level for certain crafts, Brewer Lv11 disregards one material in calculation, etc.Standard Craft:- To calculate item levels, take the average of the material levels used to craft the item. Lv2 mat + Lv5 mat + Lv2 mat = Lv3 item. Round down. Mana Fragments do not have material levels and are not calculated in this average.
- Check the person's thread and count that they have enough posts required to craft the item.
Speed Craft:
- Check the person's linked claim or RP thread and confirm that they did actually craft the item recipe before. Even if a different item was made (ie: weapons), if the same recipe was used, it qualifies.
- When verifying accessories, refer to the following thread for valid effects that can be verified. If an accessory's effect is not on that list, then it must be reviewed by a mod.
- If everything adds up, reply to the thread and say something like 'Your crafting claim was verified.'
- If the person has any errors with their claim, you may constructively address the errors you find with their claim. The claim owner may then reply and address whether they've made any changes or whether they choose to defend their claim as it is. When the claim is checked by a mod, these comments will be taken into consideration for checking during the final approval.
- After two successful verifications, the crafting claim is considered provisionally approved. Thus, you are considered approved unless a mod has any further issues with your claim. You may then invoke the RP's "Liquid Time" clause and consider yourself to have acquired any equipment you may have claimed for the purposes of non-official RP threads. If you should do anything that requires the item to be officially added to your inventory, such as an event RP thread, please wait for an official approval.
- A mod will then check the provisionally approved claim for accuracy and perform an official approval. The mods will be trusting that accurate verifications were made, so this official check will be brief. If a member's verifications are deemed consistently inaccurate, repercussions may occur for that member.
- In the case that there are no provisionally approved claims when a mod is checking claims normally, the usual process will still be followed. The oldest claim will be checked first. For example, there are two claims: a claim that was made on 3-1-14 and a claim that was made on 3-3-14. The 3-1-14 claim was bumped up to the top of the subforum because someone posted a verification review on 3-4-14. It will still have priority over the 3-3-14 claim because it was put up earlier.
- You may not verify your own claim. If you made a crafting claim though, it's common courtesy to at least verify one or two others so that everyone gets through quicker.
