The loud clambering of feet hitting the ground. Rushing full sprint across a street in the dead of night. The shadowed form of a Tall Half-Alv would leap into the air, Bringing both his feet towards his chest before extending them outwards towards a door. His feet would impact the door causing it to swing clean off it's hinges. The Half-Alv would land on his back. Slowly rolling over and bringing himself to a standing position he would lift the door up pressing it against the hole. Looking out the window to see if anyone saw the movements.
He would lift up his lantern lighting it. Having successfully broken into the London's Public library. He would adjust the satchel hanging from his side included in his starter leather armor. He would raise his lantern walking slowly through the library. He would come into the wide birth, Looking down at the bookshelves. Hundreds of thousands of them. Covered in vines and mostly decayed.
"Perfect-o..."
A soft grin coming to his face. He would wander over to what looked like the librarians desk, Tugging open the drawer with a bit of a struggle. He would find the indexing book. He would flip it open looking through the various pages before bringing his finger to a stop on the botany section. He would tear out the bag. walking towards the main shelving area. Jumping over the railing dropping down among the books. He would bring his arm along the branches brushing off the various signs.
He would finally find the section he was looking for walking over to the plant classification books. He would tug out several of them. Taking only the ones in readable condition tucking them into his satchel. Raising his lantern he would slowly wander through the library. This area would be mainly untouched by raiders. His hand coming to his chin he would sit down into a chair a puff of dust coming from his seat.
"Alright, Let's get down to business."
He would turn over his bag emptying out the books. As well as several different types of flowered plants. All of them containing budding nuggets. He would crack open one of the books and start to read through it's pages.

The samurai’s peaceful sleep was so rudely awakened by a sudden loud sound. She had fallen asleep near some large old building which she did not bother to inspect. Having noticed that the building’s door was in an odd position and that there seemed to be some movement inside, Caerbannog got up to investigate. Her former classmates back in high school or college would have warned her not to go in- there could be ghosts! But the girl did not believe in such fairytales although she was clearly living in one.
Consequently, the samurai, whose long black-haired probably aided in her being unnoticed during nighttime, walked up to a broken window. Who uses doors to sneak into buildings anyway? What’s the point of sneaking in if you go through the front entrance? With that in mind, she careful entered through the window, minding the broken glass. Once inside, she noticed a figure which carried a lantern, and whenever its light shone close to her, Caerbannog ducked out of view.
Soon the figure began speaking to himself. The samurai could not clearly make out if it was a man or a woman because she had to duck out of view every so often, but the voice sounded male at least. The girl moved in closer as the figure walked over to a desk, and then it went to a different area. That was where Caerbannog lost sight of her target, for he jumped over the railing. All she could do was follow the light from his lantern; perhaps her mistake was that she followed it too closely.
As soon as the figure sat down, Caerbannog turned a corner and came face to face with the other person. Light from the lantern shone upon her finally, and all she could do was stare wide-eyed at it. Curious about what the other person was doing there anyway, she pointed at the book-filled satchel as if asking what that was about. It had not occurred to her that such literature existed, for she had not explored Elder Tale beyond its leveling and crafting system.

Xhy found herself being called by Shaz to come to an old building, not that it was weird or anything. Xhy groaned being forced from her sleep to help Shaz, she was tired. Xhy has rushed over to where Shaz had told her, grumbling the whole way. Upon reaching there she saw the door hanging open rather forcefully and two figures inside. Slowly approaching up the stairs Xhy looked in to see, Shaz and another girl. Shaz, pouring over books and the girl stairing at him rather curious about the books as well. Stepping in to make herself known, she slides past the girl, not bothering to to acknowledge her, and makes her way over to Shaz, standing just off from his shoulder, and coughs lightly to grab his attention. "Shaz... Did you call me here for dusty books?"139 :word count Xhy Lynn | Bard Dancer | Pharmacist

His head instantly looking up at the female approaching him. He was well inside the safe zone so he kept his weapons on the desk. He would lean back in his seat watching her move her hand to point at the satchel. He would lift up the book, Opening it to her inside would be several pictures of various plants of the land. Setting the book down he would give her a small smile."Hello, I'm Shaz. Nice to meet you. You're a samurai huh? You were pretty loud sneaking around. What are you doing here? Do you like to read?" He would slide up from his desk walking over to the female. Slowly tilting his head walking around her form. He would bring himself to a seated position slowly kicking his feet up. Looking through the books a bit more. He would quickly stand up he would turn the lantern up a bit. Picking up one of the large nuggets he cultivated. He would tear out a sheet of paper from the book. Slowly tugging apart the nugget his eyes shifting to the female. He would find the female quite beautiful but his mind focused on his work. He would slowly tug the paper apart, His face shifting into a wide smile."This is it! The perfect strain to start growing! Oh hello, Xhy! This is my friend The Samurai. Samurai friend this is my best friend and companion Xhy! We killed boars together and she helped me find this plant! Xhy I think I'm about to reach a breakthrough here!"OOC Notes: ---Word Count:222Tags: Shaz @caerbannog

As soon as Caerbannog initiated a non-conversation between her and the lantern guy, he said words. Words. Many words. He introduced himself at the very least, so that was out of the way. The rest of his statements though, she could only slowly process. There was something about her class, that she was loud, a question about her reason for being there, and finally, whether she liked books.
“ Caer- ban - nog, “ she pronounced each syllable clearly while pointing to her face. Now, she did not know how to answer all his questions concisely, so the samurai merely answered one word for everything else, “ Yes. “
He could interpret that any way that he wanted to; the girl would not mind. Then as that non-conversation ended with him checking the samurai – maybe for hidden weapons or something, another person walked in and obviously, she knew who the lantern guy was. Caerbannog was then introduced to the girl named Xhy, whom the samurai acknowledged with an enthusiastic wave. When Shaz spoke again, the words ‘perfect strain’ and ‘breakthrough’ caught the black-haired girl’s attention; was he researching?
She had heard about it before from some people at the market areas. Adventurers who’d taken up various crafting classes were able to create recipes to their liking and for their specific needs. If there was anything that Caerbannog wanted or needed, something that she could research with her own class, it would be ice cream or something similar. The samurai looked around her and there were books, books everywhere! Perhaps one of those had something about the procurement of ice and similarly cold objects.
The samurai checked the nearby shelves but it was much too dark to see. Not wanting to inconvenience her new acquaintances, she waved for their attention and then she gestured that she was going over to some shelves which were bathed in moonlight. The pair remained within earshot and she could clearly see their lantern's light even as she walked off, almost tripping over various things in the dark. Caerbannog then looked around for books regarding the climate of the land, or specifically books about cooking sweets.

His head slowly tilting at the female's name. It was a mouthful to say the least. His hand coming to his lips pressing his index finger to his mouth. He would turn and look down at his books. Watching the Samurai wander off. He would lift up his lantern curiously following behind her. His tall frame a bit lumbering over hers. Holding the lantern over her head. The light illuminating the section they were in. Several map books would be to the right of the female on the heightest shelf. His free hand moving up grasping one slowly opening it up with one hand trying to see the various biomes around the land.
"So What are you looking for, Banner."
This was the nickname he bestowed upon the female. He would lean back against the shelving hanging the Lantern from a hook. Flipping the pages of the book coming to a stop on a page titled "The Highlands" The area would be north of London. A large mountainous area with snow and ice covered peaks. He would study the samurai taken a bit back by her natural beauty. He was curious as to what the female's subclass was. Was she a Cook or something more combat driven. it was rare to see female's in tank roles. This would add more to her Allure.

She did think it odd that the light from the lantern followed her, but Caerbannog did not look back until Shaz so kindly took one of the books which were beyond her reach. At that point, she looked up at the other person and almost wondered out loud if everyone in Elder Tale was taller than her. He was taller than the tallest adventurer that she’d seen before, and that scared the samurai a bit what with her complex about her stature.
Regardless, he was being nice to her so Caerbannog tried her best not to seem rude. Shaz even gave her a nickname that pretty much sounded like a normal word. But the samurai wasn't that dense; she noticed the similarity between Banner and Caerbannog. Because her real name was so short, few people ever gave her a nickname, so ‘Banner’ was a nice change of pace. Aside from that, the samurai noticed the book in Shaz’s hand. It seemed to contain maps or schematics, she wasn't really sure due to the low light and its distance from her, so the girl gently pulled down the taller person’s arm until the book was readable on her end.
“ Ah! “ the black-haired adventurer pointed at that page of the book, implying that it was what she needed.
Caerbannog then stepped away and gestured towards Shaz’s friend. The area where she stood seemed to be more conducive for reading, what with the abundance of intact chairs and tables. Hoping that Shaz understood what she meant, the samurai went on ahead to wait for the book and the lantern guy. When she returned to where Xhy was, Caerbannog nodded and took a seat close to where the other two originally were.

Xhy took a book from Shaz's pile and began leafing through, the contents a little mix-matched and the ink faded in areas. Xhy looked at the words and lists written in the book. "Pharmacist recipes?" Xhy said loud enough to try to get shaz's attention seeing as he had previously disregarded her. Xhy gave a small huff, and looked towards the girl whom had introduced herself, and Shaz had given the nickname of 'Banner'. "Subclasses?" Xhy said, directing her words towards the girl keeping her face in the book she held attempting to memorize the lists of ingredients she'll have to buy, and a general progress of how to use her crafting subclass.

He would slide over to the table. He would draw his blade from his hip running it along his shoulder blade, Wincing lightly as his HP would drop down 10% He would then use his blade to chop up the bud from the plant. He would look into the book. Indentifying it as ""Nirvana Plant" "A plant used in ancient rituals. Often used to heal light wounds and enhance spiritual vision and calm ones self." He would slowly place the chopped and ground bud into a sheet of paper. Slowly rolling it tightly together he would lick the paper sealing it. He would look over to Banner and Xhy, Giving his head a soft nod.
"Well bottoms up, Lads"
Sliding the spliff into the lantern it slowly lighting it. He would sit down placing it to his lips. Slowly inhaling from deep into his lungs. The smoke sliding deep into his lungs expanding them. He would exhale slowly the smoke sliding out his mouth. He would then inhale from his nose sucking the smoke into his lungs once more A french inhale. He would sit there for a bit. His HP bar slowly regenning. His status bar reading Regen+1 He would sit there a bit taking another long drag from the Spliff. A soft grin coming onto his lips. Looking over at the Two females he would grasp the set of several seeds. Just sitting there infront of him. Slowly zoning out a bit leaning back in his seat. A soft giggle coming from his lips.

The samurai was not sure if Xhy was speaking to her, but it would have been odd if the girl spoke to herself, and so Caerbannog (correctly) assumed that she was being asked for her subclasses.
“ Animal Trainer and Chef, “ she simply answered, not wasting a single breath.
Soon, Shaz also took a seat and seemed to be crafting his own thing. A notification sound went off in the samurai’s head so suddenly that she almost fell backwards- it was a friend who decided to call her in the middle of the night, asking where she was. She’d been scolded before for sleeping in the streets, and she did not want another scolding. If he found her in that old, unstable building...
“ Excuse me! “ the girl suddenly stood up, and then she bowed slightly, “ Someone’s calling for me. It was nice meeting you! “
Perhaps she could return to the library another day, if she would be able to remember exactly where it was. Regardless, she had to escape into the night and pretend that she’d been sleeping at an inn so as not to be given a stern talking-to. At that, Caerbannog took her leave, stepped out of the lantern’s light and disappeared through the building’s ruined door.
