Her eyes are almond shaped with medium-length eyelashes that curl up, framed by straight eyebrows that are of medium thickness. She has a medium-to-long pointy nose with small, pouty lips. She stands at a short 5'2", and usually walks clumsily with her feet slightly inverted. Her overall physique is slim. She has C-cupped breasts, long feminine fingers, and long legs. She usually likes to hide her chest with over-sized sweaters. Though, by preference, she would wear cute clothes that consist of frills and the color pink, with the exception of light tan combat boots. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] To put it lightly, she's a major dweeb. She'll get excited over the tiniest things. Though when in a new environment or around new people, she will clam up and cling to anyone she is comfortable with (or one who shows resemblance to a motherly figure, or whoever gives her sweets) She seems to be immature for her age, and is often called cute. She dislikes when people underestimate her based on her height. What will really make her mad is bribing (or teasing) her with candy when she is obviously being serious about something. Though, depending on who it is, she may not get mad. She has earned the nickname "feisty-pants" because of this. It's usually her older sister that teases her with fruit drops, and she does it just because she knows it gets May angry. Even though she puts up an angry front, May can't resist fruit drops for long, as they are her one and only guilty pleasure. Okay, maybe not her only guilty pleasure. She's quick to fall for any cute person of the male gender quickly, and is a major downfall for her. She is aware of her issue and she tries her best to repress any feelings that may come up because she's afraid that whoever it is, they might just never want to have anything to do with her again. An irrational fear, but a fear nonetheless. She's never let herself interact with anybody after obtaining feelings for said person, and doesn't allow herself to interact with them until said feelings have passed. But when she isn't clamming up or being teased, she's outspoken and quirky. Around her sister and brother in-law she acts childish and bubbly. However, she has no sense of humor. She thinks she's funny, and she tried to crack jokes often, but nobody except her sister laughs. Serah says she laughs just for May's sake. When she is with her friends from school, she keeps quiet as she is afraid they will find her annoying. She truly is herself when she's at home. Her favorite thing to do when she's at home is play video games. Particularly Grand Theft Auto IV. When playing, she doesn't say anything. At all. There are no thoughts going through her mind, only the game. Which is why she chooses games as an escape from reality, because she literally just... Escapes. A similarity between reality and video games is that she gives it her all when trying to reach a goal, and when she doesn't get it the first time, she might give it a second go. After that, she says nothing; does nothing. And gives up. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] She grew up in London to a middle-class family. Her family was warm and loving, albeit now broken. May is the youngest of two. Her older sister, Serah, had always been given special treatment, though May didn't mind. They were each other's best friends up until May was 13 years old. Their parents divorced, but lived together still for about a year. May and Serah's father one day left and never came back, and it wasn't until two months later that their mother killed herself for unknown reasons, though they assume it had something to do with their father. At the time, Serah was 19, and had just gotten into university. After the funeral, Serah sold everything that they didn't need to survive and took her mom's savings money to rent a small flat. Because she didn't want to lose her sister, Serah dropped out of uni, and got a job as a personal assistant for a new up and coming company. They were making enough to get by for a solid 4 years. May had just graduated her 6th form college and was preparing to attend the same university that her sister used to attend. Just before entering uni, Serah married a man who she had long been friends with, and the three of them moved into a small house in London. Serah's new husband, Matthew Ailes, graduated university and gotten himself a good job two years prior, and had been considered family since they were just kids. To May, he was always like an older brother. May always played video games to help her cope with her problems, and when she got word of the Novasphere Pioneers expansion, well... You know the rest.
