Eden Looked up at the castle walls, it was said only the insane and those who were in search of death went in there. But it's not like she was going there to be reckless or anything. Eden laughed at herself as she thought back to the argument that she had had with Shi. She shivered the rain was coming down harder, her mind flashed back to the night before the accident, She could really use a smoke right now, first out of the rain then smokes. Shrugging her shoulder, the pain was mostly gone she only did the gesture out of habit now, she entered the desolate Castle.
Eden could feel there was something terribly wrong with this place, her nostrils flared and her skin became chilled. She nodded stripping her armor and setting it on an old Armored knight . She looked around at the main hall. It was just like in the movies two large staircases that circled down to the door from which she en tered. She could see that this place was once magnificent, she could see that the stairs had been pillaged for most of their gold inlay, and the precious stones that once encrusted the scepters of the knights were gone as well. If not for the ceiling been caved in at the very top of the right staircase the place was still in fairly damn good condition from what she could see. There were still some old tapestries laying around, Eden gathered them for fire material cutting away the bits that were wet or damp she made note of the door foyer before her.
"Not time to die just yet, Edie." she spoke softly to herself. She lit her fire to a blaze taking Some it and carrying it a bit of a ways into the foyer she drop it. Her warning signal for any one who decided to come trudging through there. She plodded down next to the fire and lit her self a fag, taking a long drag she focused her thoughts on the smoke filling her lungs. She brought her knees up to her chest even with this she felt so numb. She threw another piece of tinder into the fire trying to stoke it. Eden gripped her knees tighter as tears began to flow, she couldn't help it at this point. Her soft sobs echoed throughout the hall. She could feel her chest tightening and the more she tried to hold it in the more it felt like the hole in her chest got wider and harder to fill. She laid there and cried the sounds of her own echoes sounding more like daggers sinking into her soul. She could hear Shi's voice, "Leave...I don't want you...." She played it over and over those words. The way Shi looked at her, those eyes....she didn't want her anymore. Now look at her how pathetic could she be? Crying over such a wolf like that, unloyal, she never cared...never loved her. Eden let out a scream as the thought crossed her mind a sharp pang went through her chest making her claw at her chest until there was blood on her fingers. Eden laid on the floor tears streaming down her face long after her fire had burned out and the rain had gone from a downpour to a drizzle back to a downpour. She couldn't help but replay the phrase over and over again, "She doesn't want you...she doesn't love you."
The words echoed back to her from the darkness, her words, her voice. "Shi, doesn't want you...shi, doesn't love you". Her own laughter greeted her as she sprung from the ground still gripping tight to her chest for fear that her fear might explode, for fear of losing what little bit was left of her being. Eden felt hot breath on her neck, as her own voice greeted her in a whisper, "You are pathetic. Look at you, you deserve to die here. She never loved you to begin with." Eden Spun around flailing helplessly only to quickly hug herself again as she felt a pain blast through her chest again. "You can't even fight back. Eden we are suppose to be warriors. Our shield Is used to protect, serve...Horkus. Now look at ya'. You're well, you're useless. Useless...." her voice was tender as it spoke from across the hall," would you like me to end the suffering for you? I mean by now Shi has found another." Eden cried out in agony dropping to her knees gripping her chest tighter. "Leave me alone." she sobbed desperately
A deathly cold hand lifter her chin slowly and Eden knelt looking back into the darkest eyes. But a face all her own, "You are alone."
