Elkeid's fist soared over empty air as Grandier… what the hell was he doing? Did he think he was in the Matrix or something? He had Kumori all over his ass, which only put him further in the Assassin's mercy, and was arching his body and head backwards, rather than forwards. What an idiot - hold on. Elk glanced at Renai and put two and two together. Enchanters had strange magic that allowed them to mess with an opponent mentally, bind them in place, etc. The brief flicker of confusion in the butler's eyes only confirmed this.
And then a wall went down. Elk did not need to look to know who was to blame for it, but turned her head regardless. Caer had obliterated a candle lined wall, harder than the writer of her future husband's writer could break them. While said writer's were harmless, if a bit superfluous at times, Caer's could potentially roast them alive, and she did not fancy that. The temperature in the room seemed to increase, though that was probably just her fear of the flames spreading towards her feet getting to her. Elkeid really did not like this kind of wall breaking. She kicked at a burning candle that had rolled to a stop at her feet.
Meanwhile, Grandier was performing an impromptu backflip, one leg outstretched like a footballer attempting to kick a flying ball. If Blackcoat was in Kumori's place, he would have bumbled and taken a kick full on in the face. The butler's frantic slashing attempts were another story, however. Despite being mentally addled, he was still trying to fight back. Elk was just waiting for the moment where he fell flat on his head. Unless he could shrug off whatever more Renai had to throw at him, or had some quick reflexes - there was a soft clacking sound as the butler dropped his knife to perform an awkward handstand.
Grandier sneered at the next spell Renai cast on him, and apparently wise to the previous trick, he shoved off with his hands, twisting away from the Assassin and flipping towards Renai. Why he was harassing the squishy Enchanter when he had greater trouble behind him, she could not say, but it became apparent when the butler began darting back and forth the room, almost ricocheting off the walls. He swung indiscriminately at the party members with his knife as he passed by them. Elkeid was all too aware of the stinging cut forming high on her cheek, though Grandier might not notice the woman's next Zoom Attack skill, this time with her leg and aimed at his happy little feet. Hopefully he would just trip and fall flat on his stupid face. coded by benetnasch of THQ / ET[newclass=.alkaid]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 100px; height:6px;[/newclass] [newclass=.alkaid]background-color:#050505; border: 2px solid #050505; border-radius: 5px; overflow: hidden; width: 100px; height:6px;[/newclass] Muse: Time Is Running OutNotes:Dwoop.Tags:@dindeen, Kumori & RenaiWords:455

Well, now more people were experiencing lag. Caerbannog and Kumori were experiencing a disconnection from their fellow players, Elkeid and Renai. Ryuu waved them off and shed a single tear as they disappeared into nothingness. It was always unfortunate when crucial members of a party were disconnected at times where the situation would have benefitted from their presence, but they were gone and this was now. Ryuu would take on the ridiculousness that is Windsor Dungeon (or at least the rest of it) with his best friend, Kyuu. He guessed it was time to dish some major damage to the ridiculousness that was Grenadier. Ryuu slid between the butler’s legs and got behind him, and brought his daggers up upon the joint of the butler’s left arm and cut straight through. Ryuu then brought his other dagger down on the joint of the right arm and did the same. Just as he landed, Ryuu slashed threw both legs by pushing his hands outwards, away from his body. Finally, Ryuu scissor cut the butler’s head so that it plopped on the ground. In the background you could hear “Fatality” faintly. Ryuu kicked the body of the zombie butler away and grabbed Kyuu’s hand to make sure she didn’t start disconnecting to. If she did, he hoped that she’d take him with her. Ryuu began walking towards the next door, the door in which he presumed the final boss was. Ryuu looked at his friend and then looked towards the door in front of them. “Since we don’t have the key… I think Elkeid had it… I think we should just kick the door down. What do you think?” he asked. It wouldn’t surprise him if his friend decided to punch it down instead of simply kicking it down. She really liked punching things. Why? He wasn’t sure either, but he assumed that was also the reason she punched him on the arm all the time. Ryuu waited for her response or action, but he still readied his daggers so that if they had to fight some ridiculous monster, he’d be ready to. Well this was the boss room, so they’d be destroying a succubus, at least from the picture, that’s what it looked like. Ryuu waited anxiously for the final boss fight, here in Windsor.

Equipped: Charcoal Yoroi with Pitch-black Yukata | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) With the mini-boss dispatched and their other team mates lagging out of the dungeon, there was only the two of them left to complete the run unless the other three managed to jump back in. And it was so nice of Ryuu-nii to take little Caerbannog’s hand like that. It made her job easier. The samurai put her other hand on Ryuu’s other wrist while that one that he held onto grabbed his forearm. Caerbannog then spun the assassin around until she gained enough momentum to sweep him off his feet, and then she threw right onto the door that had been hidden in the wall until recently. It wasn’t the golden door, apparently, so all that was revealed to the two once Kumori’s body successfully broke it open was a winding staircase to something far above that level. Caerbannog gave the assassin a strong pat on the back, a thumbs up and a small “Good job!” before she faced her mortal enemy: stairs. It’s really tiresome to walk up winding staircases especially if your legs are rather short, and this was the case with the wolf-hair samurai.
When finally she reached the top of the staircase, with or without Kumori close by, she noticed the large goat puck Robin fiddling with something in his clumsy hands. He tried very hard to put the thing in a tiny keyhole on a large golden door, but to the samurai’s surprise, a pained scream echoed through the room and Robin flung whatever was in his hand to Caerbannog’s direction. The glittering, golden Janus landed right between Caer’s feet and had quite an eyeful.
“HEY THERE BABY GIRL! JANUS KNOWS YOU LIKE BLUE AND WHITE!” the key remarked, “WAIT. WHOA, WHOA NO... NOT IN THERE!”
Caerbannog picked up the Janus key, conveniently turned gold by someone else and then she headed for the door to the final boss. Meanwhile, the puck realized that the butler had been defeated and so he high-tailed out of there, leaving the golden door unprotected save for its one locked keyhole. As the samurai put the key in the keyhole, some kind of curse heated the key up but only Janus could feel it for Caer remained unharmed... probably his punishment for being such a lecherous scumbag.
“YEEEEEOW! NO! NO! IT BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURNS!”
Click. The door finally opened.

Oh dear. Oooooooh dear. Renai felt terrible. Just terrible. And by Renai, I really meant I felt terrible. Dayum. Ugh. Well, Renai kinda just phased back in and coughed, blinking and wishing he hadn't been quite so... unavailable. Circumstances. He composed himself once more and glanced around. Grandier was gone. Good. Great. Renai hadn't helped at all. The butler sighed lightly and smiled politely at the duo remaining, cringing at his sudden departure. He felt pretty terrible, but at least he could help with this last boss. Right? Right?! Probably not since bosses were immune to most crowd control but whatever. He was gonna do a thing anyway. "My most sincere apologies."Janus was back and then Janus was not back and that was all fine and dandy really, but Renai didn't quite know how to approach this situation. He just... followed behind the other two, eyes shifting to yellow and back rapidly as he tried to keep his shame and disgust out of the picture. At any rate, the door was opening. Click. Sooooo... Renai just peered in from behind the two who weren't disconnecting and tried to think what spells would be good. Mind Shock was still on cooldown, so if anything... Yeah he didn't know. Whatever. He'd help out as best as he could, even though he had gone and lost his mop. Hopefully Kumori and Caerbannog weren't too mad at him.

OOC: neun and rien gave me their blessings to return to this thread, if there are no problems with mods of course
1 minute before everyone showed up for the raid The day was beginning well for Eric and Jake, 2 birds of prey that soared through the Windsor woods. They just caught a poor squirell and were happily returning to their home to feast on their prey. ” KWAAAK---KWAAAK” Eric said to his companion “ KWeeeee” Jake responded. ….. Alright, since no one understands bird language we’ll provide you with useful translations, Eric: “ Nice catch boss! That squirrel never saw you coming!” Jake: “ Of course! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!” Jake responded proudly while gripping his prey in its claws. The poor animal was a little squirrel but not a coward one, “ My ancestors are smiling upon me, bird, can you say the same?” He mocked the bird holding him tightly, “ Oh, shut up” Jake responded and squeezed his prey even harder, “ This is really gonna be goooood da-KWAAAK” Jake screamed in pain as a rock hit his body, the force was strong enough to make him lose its grip on the squirrel and making him flee in the forest. “ ehm…ops?” Leo said with much surprise in his voice. To pass the time while waiting for the other raid members he started throwing rocks in the air, it was a stupid way to pass time but he didn’t have any better alternatives, how could he know that a bird would get in his range? Leo looked around himself worriedly, he hoped no one saw what he just did, people never really take easily these episodes of animal cruelty. After making sure that nobody saw him, Leo rested his back on the castle wall behind him and started whistling worriedly in a falsely innocent way. Jake was boiling with rage and for good reason, “ Ehm…It’s okay, boss, we’ll find something else to…” “ I’LL MAKE THAT BASTARD PAY!
Jake said infuriated while gripping a large stone from the ground, “ I’LL TEACH THAT PUNK ASS NOT TO F#&% WITH ME!” He concluded and then he took flight. Meanwhile, a little crowd had gathered around the man who threw the rock, they talked for a bit and then they all started moving inside that castle. Leo was behind the others and tried to follow them into the castle, he took a step forward and then all went black for him, thelast thing he saw was a strange red screen with <disconnected> written on it. “ HA! PAYBACK, MADAFF#%&$” Jake said triumphantly and then left with his companion, leaving Leo senseless on the ground. PRESENT
“ Ugh…” Leo groaned as he slowly regained his senses. He massaged his head and then looked around, the only thing he could recall was something hitting his head and now he was here alone outside the castle. “ Don’t tell me…” Leo’s mind started clear a bit, “ They went in inside without me?”. Leo breezed through the castle in search for the other members and hoping that the monster they faced wouldn’t respawn, “ shitshitshitshitshitshitshit” He kept mumbling, “” Why all these stuffs keep happening to me?” He raged as he continued running through the castle, his first raid participation didn’t come along like he wanted at all. Thanks to the map he had, he was able to traverse through the castle a little faster and in the end he found some of his companions inside a candle lit room…together with a giant key that apparently was screaming agony. Leo didn’t have time to form thoughts inside his head so he just ran to them and screamed the first thing that came inhis mind to explain why he was so late: “ I’M INNOCENT! THE BIRDS DID IT!” Leo immediately regretted saying it after those words came out of his mouth, maybe that blow did more serious damage than he initially thought. While Ryuu was ready to go through the door that, but he was getting thrown by Caerbannog into the door. Rien was being preoccupied by the ridiculousness that was Stryke as he tried to justify his lag and disconnection, but the real moment and kicker was that people were starting to come back! They were almost at a full party again! All that needs to happen is Benet showing up and we’ll have Elkeid do what she does best! PUNCH THINGS! Unfortunately, that was unlikely to happen. So after his friend had thrown him into the door which seemingly broke, Ryuu rubbed his head and looked at Kyuu and made a sad face. He frowned, but he knew all he would get was the thumbs up and the smile from Caerbannog. Ryuu waited for Kyuu to get to where he was and then she stared at the stairs that were in front of her. He knew that she didn’t like stairs, so what did he do? He picked her up and carried her up. Yes, he did this quite often. Why? No one really knew, but Ryuu always cared about Kyuu, even if it made her lazy sometimes. After they got to the top, Kyuu found the obscene thing that was named Janus, and then put him in the hole and turned him. Poor guy didn’t see it coming. Ryuu pushed the door open and then looked at the succubus that was cosplaying as a mistress. Ryuu smacked his hand on his face and then looked at Neun. “Can we leave him in the door so he suffers forever? I really want him to just flat out suffer for eternity…” he sighed. He turned around only to see Renai and Stryke finally making their way to the final boss. “Nice of you to join us again,” he nodded at them. “We’ve been here long enough… let’s just go balls out and kill this thing, any objections?”Ryuu would wait for the samurai to initiate the attack, and then he would follow suit.

There she was, the queen of the dungeon: Lilin. With her lovely smile, bouncy assets and- is that a pair of horns? The massive sword does not look too inviting either. The party was greeted by Lilin with a smile and a wave, but the smile soon turned sour when a familiar voice screamed.
“YEOOOOOW! IT HURTS! GET JANUS OUTTA THIS STINK HOLE!” the key screamed for Caerbannog had left it in the keyhole to give Renai a welcome hug.
Janus soon stopped screaming when the samurai pulled him out of the keyhole, but she only let him sigh in relief before she stuffed him in his hellish torture chamber again.
“IT BURNS! IT BUUUUURNS! NOT THE FACE! SPARE THE FACE! YEEEEEEEARGH!” Janus screamed; at that point, Lilin’s smile had turned to a murderous grimace and she pointed her massive sword at the party.
The samurai left the key screaming in the keyhole as she noticed Stryke who turned out to be alive and well. Caer grabbed Kumori’s hands, pulled him over to Stryke’s side, clambered up the assassin’s back and then she reached out to rub the other wolf-hair’s ears. There was little time for re-introductions though. Lilin had gotten impatient and ordered all of her little maids to scamper away, which they did, and the room that was full of tapestries and other luxurious things was soon empty save for the final boss and the four party adventurers.
“Ikimasu ne!” Caerbannog yelled as she jumped off of Kumori’s back and put up both middle fingers towards Lilin: Samurai’s Challenge.

Again. He seemed to zone out again, right in the middle of something important. Admittedly, there had been a lot of distractions, but he also directly blamed the Participated and Bookmarks tabs. Whatever those were. Still, he was a little ashamed to have been so slow AGAIN. No excuses. It was a little frustrating, honestly. He stiffened up when Caer gave him a hug, flinching almost instinctively, but smiled awkwardly and nodded his thanks. Stryke was back too. Rad. "None," Renai replied to Kumori. He let out a soft sigh and glanced over at Janus, squinting slightly. After watching him suffer for a while, Renai rubbed his ears and just decided to be done with the damn key. Grabbing Janus from the keyhole, the Enchanter did a 180 and threw the key down the steps, as far as he could throw it. Far enough away that his screaming was a dull throb instead of an immediate migraine. Ah, Caerbannog was charging in. Renai hopped off to the side and wondered where his broom had gone before quickly casting Mind Shock on the strange lady. She really needed to get some clothes. Renai would never have let anyone walk around his mansion so scantily clad. It was just not safe. Someone could get sick or injured... The maido shook his head and sighed slightly, letting loose the black orb of darkness on Lilin. The casting time was one of the longest of the spells he had, so he was a little stuck for a while. Once that was done though, he fired off a quick little Pulse Bullet, just so he could add into the dps a bit.

After his ridiculous claim, Leo's face turned completely red from the embarrassment, he shook his head and just walked forward while trying to recover that little dignity he had left. Now that he could think more clearly, Leo noted that the woman named Elkeid was nowhere to be seen. He didn't ask what happened, something told him that the less he knew, the better it was, with all these complications this raid mustn't have been a really pleasurable experience for the others who actually did all the work here. Anyway, since they now had almost the full party back into the game it was time to make some more progress and end this raid for good. Leo continued to walk forward till the door at the end of room suddenly opened, what was awaiting them on the other end of the door was something that left Leo with his jaw dropping on the ground. In that room lied a rather...scantly clothed woman with huge....horns...on her head and some really bouncy assets too, oh and Leo also noticed she wielded a sword!... after giving her a second look. After seeing that woman, Leo's wolf features appeared out of nowhere, his tail strangely wagging back and forth and he had an incredibly strange desire to howl at her. You have to understand the poor fellow's reaction, one thing is to look at a fantasy girl clothed poorly and with a perfect body through a monitor and another thing is to look at one standing before you and arguably as real as you are, also it didn't help the fact that since many, many months he didn't have any...intimate contacts with girls whatsoever. Leo quickly snapped back from his awe when he heard someone screaming, he looked over at the door and saw what appeared to be a giant key screaming in pain insults at caerbannog. Leo just stood there speechless once again as the girl just tossed the key all over the room in Leo's direction, This was becoming too much for him to bear. The girl then positioned Kumori to his side, climbed up onto the assassin and then....petted Leo's wolf ears. He opened his eyes wide as a jolt went through his fluffy ears all the way down his spine, as usual he wanted to jump out like a cat in contact with water but he couldn't. He still felt guilty with her so he decided to let her do as she pleased. After she was satisfied, Caerbannog jumped off kumori and...flipped off the woman in the other room while using an aggro skill. Leo snapped out of his defeated look and sheathed out his trusty swords, it was humorous how that woman called lilin just waited till everyone was ready to battle. Caerbannog drew all the aggro on herself, now it was time for Leo, Kumori and Renai to move and do their part of work. Leo ran over the room and positioned himself on Lilin's right side, it was still incredibly hard for him to focus on combat though, Lilin was just...too distracting with all that...bouncing around. Leo shook his head once again and charged forward, he activated his skill < viper rise> while aming for Lilin's tendons, a bleeding debuff and some damage was a good start for his fight. Once he finished the attack he completely refused to look up, he was already distracted too many times for his tastes, " This is gonna be a really tough fight...." He thought while sighing. Finally, the final fight for the dungeon. Was he happy that they had finally made it to this part of the dungeon? Yes. Was he ready to kill this b-beast of a boss? Yes. Was this going to be easy? He hoped it would be. With 4 people active instead of just two, they would be able to do some significant damage and murder this woman. Well, beast. She had horns, but he wasn’t into the whole bad girls and demons thing. Without hesitation, he would begin his approach. His forward movement consisted of activating Accel Dance and closing in on the succubus. After approaching the succubus, he would go past her so that he would be behind her. He wanted to do as much damage as possible, and flank attacks usually provided bonuses in games. He would flank the succubus and do as many attacks as he could and weaving in a Deadly Dance at the end of his barrage of slices, stabs, slashes, and maims. He would not allow this succubus woman to be victorious for a campaign that took so long. He would beat her with willpower if he had to. WILL POWER! Each stab was placed specifically to kill and destroy the demon girl. His attacks were placed deliberately to debilitate the succubus from doing anything raunchy and attempt to lure one of the three men into her bosom. Oh how he would make her ugly so that no man would want to bed her! She would regret being in this castle and turning it into her brothel. Ryuu would purge this plague from this house of royalty!

As the Janus Key was tossed away like some unwanted rag doll, his life flashed before his very eyes. What had he done to deserve such cruel treatment? His beloved mistress and his fellow servants all shunned him. He had lost his original body in an unfortunate accident, but even then he did his best to return to them. And after all that, what did he get for it? His essence was crafted into an enchanted key that was locked up in a magical bottle! All those years he waited for someone who would free him... he thought that his luck had turned around when the little samurai chick and her posse picked him up but oh no. It only got worse! Now the hot lady with the big ta-tas (Elkeid) was gone, he was stuck in the keyhole that had been enchanted with v***** dentata, and subsequently tossed away by that ladyboy Renai! JANUS DESERVES NONE OF THIS!
But honestly, who cares? His twenty seconds of fame was over. Lilin, the Mistress of Windsor Dungeon, was ready to lay waste to the intruders. She carefully watched the movements of the adventurers. To her, they were just tiny ants that she could squash with her heel. Or with her boobs. Stryke would probably prefer the latter. As soon as her minions scurried off somewhere and were completely out of sight, Lilin's passive Absence of Servants kicked into gear. This rendered her immune to effects that directly debilitated her: Sleep, Silence, Paralysis and Stun. There was no outward clue of this protective barrier save for a cocoon-shaped shield that appeared only when Lilin was struck by any skill, single-target or otherwise.
"Enough of your banter! I shall-" the boss' exclamation was cut short by Caerbannog's rude gesture.
Did she just... did that teeny tiny little girl just flip off the Mistress of Windsor Dungeon?! She dared to... SHE DARED TO FLIP OFF LILIN?!!! That is it! That dwarf is going to die! -if Lilin could make heads or tails of where she was going. The succubus had initially been hit by Samurai's Challenge which caused her to focus on the samurai, and at the same time it gave away the presence of her Absence of Servants barrier. She had taken a while as she glared at female wolf-hair so before she could actually charge at little Caer, the enchanter Renai had thrown Mind Shock right at the boss and knocked her off balance. Pulse Bullet followed soon after like salt to her wound.
Lilin was not quite sure where that attack came from, so she naturally attributed it to the one adventurer that pissed her off so greatly: Caerbannog. Perhaps it was blind rage, perhaps it was due to Samurai's Challenge; the boss only saw Stryke as a blur when she was already in the range of the swashbuckler's attack. Viper Raise cut cleanly through the tendon on her left leg. It hurt like hell and the bleeding debuff was an unwelcome effect, but Lilin remained mobile because, perhaps unnoticeable due to the small difference, the succubus floated a few centimeters off the ground.
"Kyaa~!" the horned woman shrieked as the assassin Kumori attacked her behind; err, attacked her from behind.
Okay, that is it! No more Miss Nice Dungeon Boss! A dark aura shot forward from Lilin's body and it touched every single thing in the room, including the servants that hid behind the cabinets and cupboards. They began to hit their heads on the walls, still out of sight. The succubus had used Terror to induce nightmares or terrifying hallucinations on anyone inside the room. It would continue for three seconds which would render the adventurers mostly useless as she began casting a massive firestorm attack. The visions created by Terror was mostly dependent on the target's mindset; it was not always their greatest fear though that was the usual effect. Lilin's servants, which were rather too dumb to feel terrified, were instead confused by all the images in their heads and subsequently they began attacking one another after hitting their heads on the walls.
Caerbannog, who stayed on her spot so that the boss would charge at her in a readable pattern, was hit by the dark aura. To her, the room began to melt away as did her arms and her legs and every bit of her skin. Because she was a conscious and not quite dumb creature, she noticed that her hands and limbs "felt" the same. The things that she saw in her head were confusing though so the samurai dropped down to the ground and rolled around until the Terror effect ended. Meanwhile, Lilin continued to cast Firestorm which would incinerate anything and everything within the room, except for herself, as soon as the five second cast time ended. She had her sword raised overhead as it gathered anima from the air and as the casting progressed, her weapon burned brightly.
The wolf-hair samurai shook her head and turned to their opponent once Terror ended. She drew out her sword and used Zantetsuken to send a nearby bookcase flying towards Lilin. Debris was soon strewn all over but the succubus had blocked the flying furniture with her left hand, and the burning weapon on her right hand signified that Firestorm was just about ready to be thrown into the room to end the battle.

Renai's first instinct was to scream, but what he released was not a shriek of terror, but a bellow of anger. One hand came up to his head, clutching at his own head as he threw down Astral Bind on the scantily clad boss monster. He'd really have preferred to just sit her down, give her a coat, and talk about how she was making some mistakes in her life choices, but given she was an NPC enemy... she didn't really have a choice. Still, maybe he'd make friends with her some time after he cleaned out Windsor and made it befitting of its 'Castle' name. For now though, he focused on not going berserk, eyes flashing through sights of his parents burning in his house, his professor dying behind a glass quarantine, and all those lovely sights. As he had thought, it was definitely better to be alone than lonely. Still, Astral Bind hadn't exactly worked like he thought it would. Boss Lady seemed to be altogether immune to movement impairment, and he supposed that was reasonable considering casting Astral Hypno for auto-win on a boss monster would simply be unfair. Astral Bind itself seemed to be of the paralysis category, and while it was not a stun, it was close enough in the category of cheap spells that bosses had to be immune to. Golden orbs and silver ears made their presence known as Renai activated Quick Construction and cheated his way through this particular problem. If he couldn't use his spells (most of which tended to be ignored by boss monsters anyway), he'd abuse his Woodcrafter status. Ripping a piece of wood in twain, the Enchanter forged a makeshift cricket bat of sorts and ran forward to give this jerk monster a piece of mind. Step one, run up to the boss monster and abuse the racial strength bonus to lift this hunk of wood. Step two, cast Inversion. Nothing was really immune to that, as Immobility was clearly not a property of this particular boss. It was the type to cheat with an AoE when it couldn't tell left from right instead. So, Inversion to flip the woman 180 degrees, then slam her unprotected back with a giant cricket bat. That would work, right? Well, if it didn't, Renai would engage step three. Drop his house wall on her. The wall dropped out of his inventory and towards the annoying lady. Even if all of that didn't work (quite likely considering he was kind of a wimpy enchanter), he'd at least easily set up for someone else to get her to slow down and stop being a jerk.

A fierce battle had just started and everyone was doing a really good job in fighting this strange horned woman. Like every good party, they left their tank Caerbannog take care of the enemy's hate while they bombarded her with skills, too bad raid bosses have a nasty tendency to change patterns and attacks at any given time. This boss woman appeared really, really angry, especially with Caerbannog ( whether it was because she flipped her off or because of her tank skill was uncertain to Leo), just another reminder that she was a living thing and not some 0 and 1 on a server. This obviously also meant that she would be a lot more cunning and difficult to battle than bosses on other normal games, they were actually battling a sentient boss. Leo wondered if she had any back-story or some sort of lore, he had missed most of the raid he wasn't sure if the party already knew about this woman through some clues placed inside the castle.
Just when thing started to go smoothly, Lilin stopped on her track and appeared to be casting some spell. Leo instinctively jumped back but it his efforts were all in vain. A black aura expanded from within the succubus's body and in a blink of an eye it enveloped everything in the room.
Leo closed his eyes as the black aura overwhelmed him, when he opened them he found his point of view changed, he was now looking down on a grassy field, he was bathed in blood and at his feet lied the body of a girl with her arms dismembered. Leo's heart skipped a beat, it was too soon and seeing that gory scene again with his own eyes was too much for him, it was like living his worst nightmare with the highest level of detail possible. Suddenly his body moved, or at least he saw his body move,he could still feel his arms to be in the same position they were previously. He saw his arms rise, two bloody swords emerged with them and with a quick movement they crushed the girl's head on the ground. Leo tried with all his might to close his eyes or turn his head around, but the imagery in his eyes wasn't following his movements, he was forced to look at that scene no matter what he did. Leo breathed hard and sweated cold, those memories returned to hunt him once again in the worst way possible. Blood sprouted out of the girl's face as she turned into tiny crystals floating in the air, then his point of view changed again, returning to the initial point of his nightmare. Leo endured to torture, he was forced to look at the same scene 2 times again before the visions in eyes disappeared. After Lilin's spell effect wore off, Leo found himself on the ground,he didn't recall falling but the difference between what his eyes saw and what his actual body was telling was too great, he had lost all contact with reality in that moment.
Leo stood up while breathing hard, cold sweat dripping to the ground, this time though in his eyes there was nothing but pure rage. Lilin had showed him in full detail his worst nightmare, it was only fair he'd want to do the same to her.
He recollected his weapons on the ground and turned his piercing glare on the succubus, his eyes turned completely golden and his fangs got more accentuated, his whole appearance appeared a bit more beastly than usual. The swashbuckler ran over the boss and activated his skill <Ante up>, his two starter swords appeared from his inventory and floated around his body. Leo gave them the attack command and then initiated a flurry of furious attacks on the succubus with all 4 swords.

What would happen if Ryuu somehow mannaged to break the level limit and was all of a sudden level 81 because time flew by so fast. The succubus would literally pop in a single poke from his dagger. One poke, and he would hear screams of agony. If only, if only. But, we can’t always have what we want. Nope, he was level 20(?) if he remembered correctly and he was only allowed to use Tier I skills. If only he could just point his finger and everything would die. Welp, regardless. He had enough experience to know how to defeat this ridiculous monster several times over, and he would do so with extreme prejudice. His blades glowed, because Ryuu wanted them to glow, so he made them glow a reddish glow in order to simulate a Zenith item of another game. Well, it glowed in his mind, even if it wasn’t actually glowing. Ryuu only really had a few sets of skills he could use as a level 20 assassin. Rien forgot which were available to him at the time, so he decided to use every single one he had in his skill list that was Tier I. There weren’t much. He had Quick Draw, Deadly Dance, and Accel Dance. With Accel Dance still activated, Ryuu moved back and ran to a flanking position. He would attempt to get whatever bonuses he could to destroy this succubus with as much damage and power as he could muster. Ryuu used Quick Draw in order to close the distance quickly, dealing a bonus damage to its side and appearing on the other side of the monster. Ryuu then used Deadly Dance once again in order to deal his maximum output of damage upon the target. If that wasn’t enough? He’d keep stabbing at the succubus’ behind until she yielded and yelled out in pain and died. (Or maybe she would yell out in pleasure… it is a succubus after all).

Equipped: Charcoal Yoroi with Pitch-black Yukata | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) Ah, men and booty... things that can quickly toss a fight downhill. Aside from Renai's well-executed Inversion, paddle attack and a subsequent scene that was reminiscent of Wizard of the Oz, the two other men who were obviously distracted by Lilin's bouncing assets threw random attacks about. In any other fight, that would have been suicide but due to the aforementioned Inversion, Lilin, whose Firestorm had already been interrupted because a house (or part of it) had been dropped on her, could not properly defend against or dodge the incoming swashbuckler and assassin attacks. When the enchanter's debuff finally wore off, the boss was still left standing with a small amount of her hit points.
Having seen an opening, Caerbannog activated her buff Denkosekka for additional speed, threw Izunagiri while she was closing the distance between herself and the boss, and finally she used a rather difficult-to-time ace move: Seinarushinken. Say that quickly, three times. The samurai's mana swirled around her sword as she lifted it overhead and then she struck the blade towards the ground. A cutting wave sliced through the floor and hit Lilin, who'd been faze slightly by Izunagiri. If Stryke and Kumori did not move out of the way, they might get hit by flying debris.
In any case, it seemed that the fight was over but for good measure, Caerbannog lifted a bookcase over her head and then she threw it at Lilin's dissipating body. The boss finally turned to a display of data crystals and her essence flew into the air, no doubt destined to become a mini-boss in some other place. Or a raunchy lander. Whichever the gods of Elder Tale decide on. As for the almost-complete party of adventurers, all of the doors (and windows) of the dungeon opened up; the enchantments had been undone by the death of Lilin. Somewhere down the hallway, a familiar voice yelled "JANUS IS FREE! FREEEE! C'MON PRETTEH LADEHS, LET'S GET BIZZEH!"
The wolf-hair bowed to Stryke and Renai, and she muttered something that sounded like "good work!"; she then casually walked over to Kumori and kicked him right on the balls. Once the assassin was bent over, the samurai clambered up on his back and latched onto his shoulders. She made sure to put one arm tightly around his neck, slightly asphyxiating him in the process, just to make sure that she would not fall off.
"Hi-ho! Silver, away!" was Caerbannog's last line as she pointed somewhere down the hall, probably to an exit that the party could take.
