The Incident... The shaman suddenly woke up in an entirely new shattered he couldn't recognize at the moment, seeming lost he stared for a few seconds at the cellar while his nose recognized two scents much closer than he thought, making him jump from where he were and try to protect himself with something as an reaction for the fear to be attacked, trembling because even if you can't die in the city, you can be beaten up, and he had no way of escape. A moment of silence went by, and Shepard wasn't even touched by anyone, making him get out of his "stash" slowly like a rabbit with a sight of fear and remorse in his eyes. He just saw the two fellow kind of staring at him in silence... so he kneel down and lowered his head to the floor level, remaining in silence a few seconds. -Shepard-I'm... sorry... for the way I acted... And even so... you gave me a hand...The remorse could be clearly listen in his shattered voice as he tried not to break while he spoke, he owed them some further explanation... so he tried to give one.-Shepard-I... what I did... was not on purpose... I owe you two a explanation... even if you don't want to listen... I mustHe cut himself willing to find the words, but no matter how much he wanted no words came to his head more than the entire story... maybe that was what he had to tell... what he tried to forget once in the game...-Shepard-I've been bullied my entire life for everyone I've known... I didn't have any friends in the real world because they were afraid of being beaten up like I was, just for the religion I followed. Every day I had to be careful when going out, people tend to attack what's unknown for them... I was treated as useless, worthless and meaningless thrash because I wanted to honor what my grandparents's taught me... It was the solitude, the hate and the fear what made me reject the people...When I finished high school... some of those haters knocked me out with a boulder in the back of my head, causing me to go in coma about 2 months for a clot in my brain... I got the game as a present from my family; the same day I leaved the hospital was the day I got in here...I don't want to bother you both... I've done enough damage with what I did in the woods... the bad time I made you went through won't disappear... But I can.The speech was terribly difficult for him, every word was forced out trying to hold the tears those memories caused, but it was the less he could do after such a problem.Cleaning his face with his half-broken voice he continued.-Shepard-There's no excuse for what I've done... I just shared my history so you could understand me a bit; I don't expect you to forgive me.Just... thanks for what you've done for me.With everything said the wolf remained shut, this time he'll have to listen at least as a way to show respect, instead of leaving the place after they take the trouble of getting him there.

| Kumori HP: 100% MP: 100% | "In order to live, I will continue to fight. In order to retain my humanity, I will continue to destroy those who mean to harm my friends." |
When Shepard awoke, he jumped up into a protective stance so that anyone who meant to do him harm, he could defend himself against, but Kyuu nor Ryuu made a move to harm him. Rather the two simply watched him in silence, seeing if he would recognize that they were not here to hurt him. He suddenly fell to his knees, bowing his head. “W-“ Ryuu said as he stood and opened his mouth to stop him from bowing to them in such a way. Before Ryuu could stop him, he spoke his apologies. But it was not only that that exited the mouth of the male Wolf-Hair. Ryuu sat back down. He did not want to appear as before, controlling and overbearing. He carefully listened to the shaman and his story.
What he mentioned was that his past was full of bullies, simply because of what he believed. While it wasn’t common for people in the UK or in the US to discriminate against those who practiced different religions, at some places it was more prominent than others. While Ryuu was a Christian man who faced no adversity or animosity against his beliefs, he knew that when he returned to Japan, he was often looked down upon by several of his extended family who were Taoists, Buddhists, or Shintoists. Ryuu never felt comfortable in Japan, where he knew it was difficult to live as he believed was fitting, but such was the life of one who had stepped away from the norm and done something different. During a time he was lost, unsure of what to do, he had chosen to believe in something far greater than he, another crutch he used to bring him back to life, alongside the companionship of Kyuu. He knew the feeling, and although he was never attacked physically, he knew the voices behind his back spoke ill of him, and many times excluded him in many activities. His ‘family,’ with a few exceptions, did not treat him well, except for the fact that his parents were wealthier than they were. He knew that whenever he visited, they were only treated well because of his parents, and now he, because he was now making his own decent fortune.
The few that treated him well was his father’s youngest brother who also followed the same religion as he and his parents. While there was sometimes tension between the two brothers, it was still a relationship that the Uncle fostered to allow them to become close and to become Ryuu’s favorite uncle. The other eight uncles and aunts on his father’s side treated Ryuu’s father like a black sheep because of his different religion and because of the year he was born and the superstition that surrounded his birth.
On his mother’s side, while Ryuu did not know many of them because they were dispersed all over the world, the few he had met and knew, he did not experience any hardship from them, and they were relatively decent to him. He knew a few had already passed away, but he had finally met them a few years back and paid his respects to his dead uncles.
While it was many times easier to deal with his uncles because of the lack of contact, at times it became impossible to bypass, and so the hatred and the snide remarks made about him, he endured them as he could not harm a family member, as much as he was tempted to.
Ryuu felt sorry for him, to be placed in the hospital because of his belief, but he knew many who endured that much pain and persecution. He could only feel sorry for him, but he could not say that it was not expected, however living in the UK, such a thing was unexpected because of the nature of the law there.
“You did no wrong… as I said in my message I sent to you, the fault is all mine. I take full responsibility of what had happened, for I did not take into account your feelings and my words. The fault is not yours, but my own, so please, stand…” he said, as Ryuu in turn kneeled down and bowed his head towards the Wolf-Hair shaman. “I ask you to forgive me,” he said. After he said that, Ryuu lifted his head and then said to him: “you are not a bother to me or Caerbannog. We take in people who need a place to stay, people who need protection. This is our family… and in a family, no one gets left behind. I’m not going to force you to join our family, Shepard, but you are certainly invited to join us. Even if you cannot come up with an answer now, I want you to know that the invitation is always open to you. Should you need a friend to talk to, a shelter to rest in, or a group to encourage you, then know that we will provide that,” he said to him.

Equipped: Pitch-black Yukata | No weapon The cookies were supposedly for our visitor but I took one anyway and ate it while I waited for him to wake up. Eventually, the shaman drifted back to our reality and reacted to us with a scared look and defensive posture. I tilted my head to one side as I ate the cookie and inspected the shaman’s appearance. He seemed to have gone through trauma of some sort, perhaps similar to when I was player-killed by Stryke.
Suddenly: stories.
Shepard apologized and offered an explanation. It was a really long one and I almost nodded off, but another cookie kept me preoccupied. Wow, he talked a lot. A lot... lot, lot. He wasn’t that different from Ryuu when it came to talking. I always wondered how people were able to do that; to just string words together and have it come out not as a mess of letters but as coherent statements. I nodded every now and then to show him that I listened to what he said. It was not something that I could relate to since religion was not a problem with my family; my father had never bothered with it and neither did my mother. My relatives in Japan practiced Shintoism along with various religions so they were open to many beliefs. I knew that such discrimination existed but I never thought that it would matter in Elder Tale.
I had no words with which to console the shaman. I rarely had any words to speak with anyway. But Ryuu did, and fortunately so. I nodded in agreement with what he said, though a bit surprised that he had such trouble with his family. The assassin did complain about some of his relatives before, but I wasn’t too good at remembering what I heard. Or rather, I’d always been quite dense. That was something that I hoped to change, and by listening to the shaman, I hoped that I was taking the right path. After both young men said their piece, I waited to see if things would calm down from then on. Then I took another cookie and pointed it at the long-haired assassin.
“ Ryuu-ojisan... older and wiser compared to me, “ I simply said before I bit into the third cookie.

Unexpected Alliance. -Shepard- I have nothing to forgive... I insist in having the fault.
The Shaman did not ended the bow, he just kept down while he listening the assassin's speech, just like they heard him's. The surprice in the wolf's face was covered but not for long, the invitation to their guild was a response he wasn't expecting at all, taking him out out guard and making him raise abruptly just to see the assassin in the same position as he, adding more impression to the equation.
-Shepard- Please... raise, you don't have to do that...
Took a while for the Shaman to digest the proposal, he just remained shut for a moment, looking at both of them, maybe he hasn't told them everything, but for once in a long time, he felt that strange sensation... was that truly happiness? Shepard didn't remembered how that felt until now, the warm sensation... How could reject such offer in a moment like this one? There were no possibilities for it to end better...
Shepard just nodded while trying not to show his excitement, he just heard the words Caer said and holded as much as he could, even when his heart hard beated, the wolf wanted to say something, but again it was hard, so he just improvised.
-Shepard- I don't deserve such honor... being next to people like you... but this doesn't mean I reject that invitation... at the contrary...
He hoped that the message was clear enough. Taking a sip of the tea Caerbannog made he got rid of the knot in his throat, and as a respect show he thanked her for it and eat one of the cookies... the first flavored food in days... he couldn't help it but take other and eat it as well, with the impression in his face he asked how did she managed to make such delicious food, everything he got was only salty crackers flavored... The answer was so simple that made the Shaman drop a small laugh... the things began to change for him, and for once, it was for good.

Ryuu heard his reply and smiled at his acceptance. He quickly went through the proper menus to invite him into Aeryn, his guild, his family. It seemed that with his invitation, he had grown happier and become a changed man. Ryuu was surprised to see a man who he thought was scared of him, who was easy to thrust into a bad position, change into someone who knew what happiness was and what companionship was. Ryuu nodded in satisfaction as he was doing what he had always planned to, to create a guild where all would know each other and be well to each other. “There are few I find worthy to join my guild, and you are one… welcome to Aeryn,” he would say after he would accept the invitation to become a part of his guild.
Kyuu did say something, but he ignored it for the duration of the time until Shepard accepted the invitation. After it was done, he looked at Kyuu with somewhat evil and smirking eyes. A somewhat taboo word was calling Kyuu: fatty, and well, he was going to do it because he had a thing for causing pain to himself. Why? He was masochistic, somewhat. He didn’t know it, but he was. “Don’t think I forgot what you called me, fatty,” he said as he slyly smiled. Oh what fun Ryuu had in teasing his little sister when the time called for justice. He knew he was going to get it, some type of pain coming in the form of getting force-fed her experimental cookings or pulled at by the hair or at the cheeks.
He began taking a sip of his tea, but he was careful to make sure that it was kept away from him should the Samurai have the need to tackle him or something of the sort. Oh how he loved to tease the people he was close to, especially one that was like his little sister. The memories of teasing her when they went out on her birthday, but the story was for another time. The story of Fuyu, such a dark, dark story. This was about happiness, and so he would not cloud the new memories he was making here with his dark past.

Equipped: Pitch-black Yukata | No weapon The day was full of surprises. Some unpleasant, but this one was not. Instead of rejecting the guild invitation or putting off answering it until later, Shepard accepted Ryuu’s offer for him to join our guild. While he did have some bad experiences, in the appropriate environment where he felt safe and could think straight, the shaman wasn't too unsociable. Or at least I noticed that he was able to convey his thoughts and feelings to those around him. Very much unlike me with my chopped-up sentences.
After all was said and done and I had finished my third cookie, Ryuu turned to me with his evil eyes. I knew that look. Oh no, he wouldn't dare... it was the look that my brother had whenever he thought of a way to get back at me. He was probably annoyed by the honorific ‘ojisan’ since I basically just called him an old man or gramps. Well he did sound like one. I wondered what Ryuu would do. A flick to the nose? A barrage of tickles? I put my arms in front of my body and formed an X to defend from his attacks, but the attack came in the form of words. Or rather, ONE word. THAT word.
“ blahblahblahblah FATTY... “ was all I heard from him.
Oh no he did not just say. He... did... not... just...
Without as much as a word of warning, I tackled Ryuu to the ground, in the presence of Shepard yes, and proceeded to pull at his ponytail. Actually, I proceeded to pull at anything that I could get my hands on. No scratching or biting; I wasn't that animalistic. I just did enough damage so that he would know not to call me ‘fatty’ ever again. My wolf ears, tail, canines and golden eyes even appeared.
“ Don’t. Call. Me. That. “ I repeatedly said.
I wasn't going crazy or anything. Okay, maybe a little bit. But I’d still know when to stop and I definitely would not lash out at the shaman.

Joining the Family. Without a single trace of remorse, the Shaman quickly accepted the invitation of Aeryn's Guild, when his detail box changed by adding a new phrase which contained the words "Member of Aeryn" he smiled, feeling that he was wanted somewhere, that he had a place to belong, somewhere to go without being rejected. The following things that happened in there made Shepard to do the effort of not laughing but it was hard even for him... so... those were the words... a practical joke crossed his head, so he sneaked towards the main door trying to hide behind the furniture of the room while Caer took her revenge upon Kumori.-Shepard-So I've joined a guild with an Old Man who likes to being called Oniisan and a Fatty Samurai with aggressive behavior... I'll just leave slowly...Shepard said that in a lower tone but loud enough to be heard by the other two who were in the room, then moved his hand slowly to the knob and began to open the door, but the hinges made a loud scratch sound that revealed his position. Looking for his staff to shield himself and realizing it was over the table near his friends, Shepard acknowledged his fate... Doom, inevitable and assured doom.-Shepard-Oh my... Me and my big mouth...Those were the lasts words heard from the shaman before he looked the room for a security room he could use as a fort before being hanged to death, resulting in a mere waste of time, he had nowhere to run, and the exit was sealed by guild master orders... His fate was written in stone, he just bought tickets for a fast trip to the cathedral.-Thought-May the spirits of nature and the Gods have mercy of my soul.At least, today he gained new friends, a family, and smiled... much more than what he had in years in the real world... much more than he ever imagined. From now on, he wouldn’t be really alone, he had people to count with now and he knew that.Tags: Kumori @dindeen Word Count : 350
