Nasty Plants! [Tessia]

The forest was quiet today, the gust of wind blew in causing the branches to rustle with the force of the winds push, standing in the middle of this forest was a single fox tail his clothing still made of the gear of a beginner adventurer, and his katana resting at his hip. With a deep inhale he took in a lung filling breath of the fresh air that surrounded him, he would stand there looking around his ears twitching every now, and then at the surrounding sounds. The young man didn't say anything at first, he merely stood perfectly still his tail swaying side to side calmly behind him. He was waiting for his sister to arrive, Tessia the two had started the quest long ago it was simple they had to clear out some nasty plants in this forest but the problem was they were scattered into different pockets of monsters throughout the forest. Bunji was waiting here for Tessia to come back, she had scouted ahead rushing into the forest in order to find the plants so the two could have a better idea of how to tackle the mission.

It would not be long before his ears caught on to the sound of the rustling in the forest raising his eyes from the floor his red orbs would stare into the distance, and a smile would spread on his features. "How did it all go sis?" he asked as he stepped towards the direction where he heard the sounds figuring it was Tessia who was returning from the scouting mission. His hand rested on the scabbard of his katana all the same just in case whatever rustled in the forest wasn't his sister.

Hiding in the dark low brush, Tessia observed two level 6 Nepent Snatcher's milling about in a clearing.  The other one she had been tracking had moved away from the group and was further into the brush near the base of some large boulders.  She kept low and still, already having to utilize some nearby stones to toss to divert the things attentions.  She was beginning to get a idea of how far away from them you needed to be in order to move freely, and hopefully she was just about out of the nearest one's detection range.  Being about a good radius of 20 feet or so, these things certainly were a troublesome lot.  

Slipping backward a bit more, she scoops another small pebble and tosses it well over the head of the closest one, as it shambles towards the noise of the rock hitting the ground Tessia bolts away making use of Accel Dance to aid her rapid movement.  Luckily she had struck one already but mostly just to get a stack of the Dance going.  Now she sped backward were her Bro waited in the meadow for the news.  They would have to coordinate well in this, as taking on all of them at once would be mere suicide.Even in this game she minded dying even though you got revived.  She hated that feeling of failure and loss that followed it.  Yes it meant that she would be more cautious than most, even if it meant fleeing from the danger to fight it again another day.  

She slowed at the forest's edge and released her Dance buff.  Breathing evenly she approached were her Bro stood.  She grinned at his greeting and half thought of trying to tackle him playfully.  She cleared her throat and said, "Being out here all prone would get you attacked you know."  She grinned again but said evenly, "The Nepent Snatcher's are ahead, one seems to have broken off from the group but I've scored a hit on it's HP.  The other two are still together though for now, they don't seem to care fro one another's prescience but will attack anything they sense in a 20 foot radius.  We will have to lure them out, and hope our fighting doesn't aggro the others."  She hefted her new ax off her shoulder and let it sit, her new armor dyed dark by choice as she tugged up her face mask and waited for her Bro's response.

With a sigh of relief he would see his sister was the one to emerge from the dark shadows of the surrounding forest, tilting his head he smiled at her his tail wagging happily to express the joy he felt when around her; nonetheless they were here on a quest. With arms crossed over his chest the would dismiss her comment on him being attacked, and listened to her explanation about the enemies he would nod once she was done totally agreeing with her plan to lure them out one at a time. Fighting the group of three would overwhelm them, leading to their inevitable defeat at the hands of those odd creatures "We can lure one out, and I can use my exorcist skill to calm down its Aggro for a bit...well at least I hope it works. I've never used the technique on one of the snatchers, they are easily aggro'd after all" he explained as he rolled his neck, then turned towards his sister giving her a once over of the new armor. "Liking the new look sis!" he said with a thumbs up before walking in the direction she had come, stopping just before the shadows of the forest would swallow him whole.

"I'll follow you, you are the quickest of the two. Lure one towards us, and I will initiate confrontation keeping its aggro on me" he said to her with a smirk before allowing himself to step into the shadows of the forest waiting for his sister to rush ahead. Once she took the lead Bunji would pick up the pace moving at a quickened speed as he kept his eyes on his sister, the red orbs focusing on her allowing him to follow her but still maintain a few feet of distance from her. Once they were close he was able to slide into a hiding spot hugging a nearby tree, the thick body of the tree serving as perfect cover for the cloaked samurai, the red trimmed hood of his cloak rested over his head, his ears poking out from the individual holes he had carved out for it. Peeking from behind the tree he have Tessia a nod of the head confirming to her that she should initiate the plan now, he held the hilt of his katana firmly waiting for the first snatcher to show up so he could attack.

She grinned to herself as she rushed back into the low dark brush, low enough and fast enough to be seen by her Bro.  The complement did her good as she hoped he would notice, mainly in that she secretly hoped to get something made by him.  Shaking those thoughts from her mind, Tessia slows to a stop just outside of one of the Snatcher's aggo range.  It was getting a bit dark now the sun setting low on the horizon.  Palming another of the rocks she had temporarily acquired, she hurls one so that it lands in the plants mouth.  It begins to lumber right towards her location as she backpedals away from it.  Keeping Hide Walk off for now she stomps on the ground and is sure to linger a little so the creature ambles after her

It was a odd feeling knowing that her Bro was waiting back there to ambush, usually she did all that and gladly.  Another small smirk.  She was really laughing a little much these days at things, maybe to distract her from the situation of everyone in this game?  Once more focusing on the task at hand, Tessia zooms by her Bro lying in wait and spins about, Activating Accel Dance and drawing her ax into both her hands.  The newly forged blade shines dully as she had it blackened for improved stealth capabilities.  Not that it mattered against this blind creature.  Rushing forward, she would dodge to the right of it as the Snatcher lashes out at her with its vine like arms.

As it misses, Tessia runs right up next to it and delivers a side swipe with her ax blade targeting its leg vine.  Disabling this one here would prove helpful as they did not want to have two of the things upon them should this one decide to turn and flee.  They didn't care for one another but would aggro if one of them began to move about more erratically than usual.  After her light swipe, she darts into the low brush cover and silences her movements and creeps about a good 5 feet from the flailing Snatcher, unsure of were she currently was and sniping at open air.  She only hoped her Bro would take a good advantage of the strike she did on its leg, and could understand her plan.  Anoter small smirk, she waited.

He waited in silence his dark cloak providing him with enough blend into the surrounding shadows that he need not worry about being spotted by these blind plants, then suddenly he felt it she dashed by him his sister as always moving so fast that sometimes all he really noticed was a blur. He would turn towards her watching as she drew a blackened axe from her back, his eyes widening with surprise he had to admit the weapon was impressive looking, and it looks damn strong too. Before he knew it the girl was rushing the plant, he quietly watched as she got closer to the plant avoiding its wild attack with great ease, and hacking at one of its legs. Bunji would narrow his eyes stepping out of his hiding spot drawing his katana the worn blade failing to reflect the light like it normally did, he really needed to get his hands on a new weapon.

Either way there was no time to focus on that, Bunji would burst his body exploding into a flash of electrical energy his entire body outlined by a thick coating of electrical energy he would focus his red orbs on the plan his presence was instantly noticed by the plant. When it noticed him it began to hiss its vines whipping at him, Bunji moved with accelerated speed moving side to side to avoid the vines his sword gripping tightly by the hilt, ducking under one more whip he would step into the attack range of his sword. Swinging it upwards he would allow the electrical energy of his attack conduct onto the plants body causing the creature to cry out in pain, and hiss violently as its vines whipped all over. Bunji was able to avoid them making sure not to get hit by them, the creature was stunned with the elctrical surge allowing Bunji to follow up kicking away from the plant he would raise his sword overhead.

Bunji would begin to gather wind at the blade activating the skill Izunagiri, he would swing his sword downward releasing a dense blad eof wind from the katana, the blade traveling across the ground slicing one of the vines from the plants body, and cutting through to hit it directly. The red eyed samurai watched as his blade of wind sunk into the creatures body causing it to cry out in pain, relaxing from his stance he would stand quietly as it whipped around one of its vines at him. Stepping back Bunji barely avoided it, his two ace moves delivering enough damage to leave the plan at enough HP that another attack would kill it, he waited for Tessia to take the chance to attack the creatures blind spot.

[Tessia]

It was her first time using the skill Fatal Ambush so she was unprepared for how it would affect her senses.  Upon activation, she felt her legs lock a little as she crouched and focused upon the Snatcher that her Bro had finished attacking.  It was like being underwater, her hearing dampened a little and she could feel her muscles totally relax, loosening her reflexes and allowing for unlimited control over how she would move next.  As her Bro struck with his  Izunagiri, she felt a odd snap across all her senses.  She could feel her silver Crescent Moon tattoos glowing on her body.

 She knew now was the time to strike.  As if in a out of body experience, Tessia half felt/watched herself burst forward unhindered by the grass, the nearby log, or even the flailing vines of the creature as she moved so fast.  It was just her and that creature in that moment, her body flying up in a corkscrew spin, ax flowing along her side up high and out.  As soon as her arms snapped forward, the slowing effect was broken, and all that could be seen was her disappearing for a second then reappearing right next to her Bro.  Her ax flickered into view held out lengthwise as she crouched there after her blinding strike.

The creature, having been so enamored by her Bro's assault, had no idea of what just transpired, as its HP rested at 0.  The game finally took over and the Snatcher fell apart into shattered data bits.  Tessia sighs and rubs her temples, standing a bit next to her bro as she grins at him a little.  "Eheh, I wont be able to do that too much.  My head..." *she rubs her temples a little but smiles again, regarding the other two nearby Snatchers.  "C'mon, the other two will be easy after that." She offered her fist for a bumpish from her Bro, a strained but happy smile on her face.

This thing was violent, fast, and aggressive he was doing his best to keep its attention on him while his katana was used as a defensive tool to the best of its very limited ability in that respect. He would block the lashes as they came luckily both he, and his sister had dwindled down the number of vines this thing had at its disposal. Bunji would grip his katana with a firm grasp his red eyes narrowing as he prepared to finish it off himself, no offense to his dear sister but she was taking too lo-- Before the thought was even completed, he would watch as a silver line sliced across the air digging into the plant monsters body a once wild, and raged filled beast ready to tear him to shreds came to an abrupt stop. The creature would make not a sound only burst into a multitude of data crystals that lit up the surrounding zone for a brief moment before fading as they rained down all around, Bunji was...impressed.

"Wow" he said looking over at his sister she was hella fast, not even that other ninja girl he had a crush on was that fast, and she seemed pretty fast to begin with. A smile would have crept onto his features if he had not both heard, and seen the toll it took on his sister to pull that move off had taken on her, when they bumpished he would place his hand over his sisters shoulder after. "Lay back for the next one, I'll lure it in..." he said to her, not waiting for a debate he would run off ahead of his sister practically leaving her with no choice his long black cloak rustling in the wind behind him, and his hood firmly over his head. A few bangs of red hanging over those crimson orbs of his once he came to view Bunji would step out of the protecting shadows of the forest, his cloak flowing madly as he came to a stop.

With his katana firmly in hand he stood ready his red eyes focused on the plant, the creature would roar and hiss noticing Bunji had stepped into its range, he would smirk under his hood letting his red eyes focus on the plant glancing back at his sister he would raise a hand giving her a thumbs up. Now if Tessia knew him as well as she did, she knew that a thumbs up from Bunji meant he was going to try something out of the ordinary, or better yet...something reckless. Turning he raised his katana overhead activating his skill [Kabutowari] with a quick forward dash he found himself avoiding a few lashes only to enter striking range, and swing his katana downward at the plant creature. When it connected he watched as the creatures HP dropped with extra damage, thanks to the skills special affect, not stopping there though Bunji raised his katana once more this time the blade gathering wind to swirl around it.

[Izunagiri] was activated then swinging down he released the wind around the sword in the form of a concentrated blade of wind that slammed directly into the plant even knocking the plant a few feet away which allowed him to activate his final skill which he was sure would finish this thing off. Bunji raised his katana overhead, then began to spin it! As he did so the plant began to move, and hiss at him; all the while Bunji remained still he could feel it his energy channeling into the sword the animation laster a while but just as the plant was getting close he would open his eyes which gave a bright golden glow that overlapped the red pair of eyes. Bringing his sword down as it glowed brightly with an intense energy he would stab it into the ground, [Seinarushinken] was activated releasing a golden blade of energy that exploded outward towards the incoming plant.

The golden energy blade lit up the area around Bunji as it fired itself forward, he watched as it slammed in the plant, the combination of three chain attacks one after the other was enough to not only wipe the plant out; but take a heavy toll on Bunji. With weak knees he was quickly down on all fours, one hand gripping the hilt of is katana as he took in deep breaths with a smirk on his face a sense of pride swelling inside of him for pulling the move off. "Heh...not the only one wi-- oh damn..." he cut off when he noticed the other plant creature heading his way, Bunji tried to stand but was quickly brought back down his body was too weak for now, and the plant was hungrily approaching him....

[Tessia]

She had a fierce pride for her Bro.  He fought hard to strike the next plant and even managed to kill it.  But, as always, Bunji didn't take recovery time into account as the next plant approached him vines outstretched.  This was not the time for rest.  Tessia shouldered her ax and began to dart forward and low to the ground.  Luckily she had a bit of a plan on how to deal with this one.  Stacking another Accel Dance, she bolted forward even faster and leaped up over her Bro, using his back for a stepping stone.

"Sorry!" she would yell to him, as she hurled forward into the mass of vines, ax up high over her head.  Landing literally on the Snatcher had been the plan, and it worked for a few seconds at least.  Her ax bit hard into the Snatchers pseudo-head as she planted her feet on it and flipped herself over behind it.  Then came the vines and only her well made armor withstood the three strikes.  It shaved a good portion of damage off, but she was thrown off the Snatchers head and too it's left.  Already her hp was blinking in the yellow.

Not finished yet, she bolted out of the grass cover and activated Quick Draw, her hands gripping the weapon and lowering it almost to the ground as she sped forward.  Launching a blinding strike with such a heavy weapon made her spin as she managed to shear off almost half of the flailing vines.  It was now aggroed on her and Tessia did what she did best: run.  With the third stack of Accel Dance active, and the weight of her strike turning her about, she speed off into the cover of the brush.  Allowing Hide Walk to take over she began strafing the edge of the brush and watched the plant approached, its hp just a little past half gone.

He was expecting that thing to touch him anytime, yet just as it was about to he would feel someone step on him? Bunji's eyes widened as he looked up watching his sister propel into the air then dive straight for the enemy. He would look up as his sister got down to business, he was waiting quietly letting his body recover he felt so worn out right now even if he wanted to help his body would not respond. Instead he was forced to watch his sister take the beast on, Bunji flinched his grip tightening around his hilt as he saw Tessia take some hits her HP lowering to the yellow, eventually though it would happen his body would respond. Bunji grinned as he rose to his feet, still feeling a bit stiff he would pull his katana from the ground holding it next to his body as he charged forward towards the plant its back was turn to him so he would take this chance, Bunji would quickly open the menu as he switched weapons to a spear gripping it firmly he thrust the weapon into the plant monster. Releasing the spear he would jump back watching as the monster spun around to roar, and hiss at him; Bunji would smirk taking a stance.

The creature would whip a vine at him to which he dodged, and hacked at with his sword the sharp edge of his katana slicing through the vine, watching as another vine came in he ducked under it then dashed into the plant monster. Two rapid slashes where released, then one more, and after that three more to follow the entire combination hacked away at the enemies HP lowering it more, and more. Each slash would hack down hit points, when Bunji was done he ducked under another slash then stepped in thrusting his sword into its body forcing his sword into the beast, then pulling it out, and spun around slashing horizontally at the plant monster. When he was done he would watch as the monster would lose even more HP. "Time to finish you off!" he could cry out as he stepped in slashing the plant one more time with his sword then spinning around, holding his katana overhead he activated [Kabutowari] so that he would bring his word down activating his ace move. The resulting damage knocked the monsters HP down, forcing it to burst into data crystals.

With a heavy breath he would relax, smiling as he raised a hand at his sister, "We're good to go sis!" he said to her with a thumbs up. "Thanks for the save too!" he said with a sheepish grin chuckling at her.

[Tessia]

She was glad for the respite as her Bro finished off the Snatcher.  Getting to her feet and stretching a little, she joined him in the clearing and offered another bumpish.  "Heh, nice one Bro, I hoped I bought you some time.  Even if i cant take as many hits as you."  She reflexively looked down at her armor expecting it to be torn, only to find that it was unmarred.  Smiling to herself she marched back to the town with her Bro, thankful to finally get this quest done.

"Well, it was a bit rough but we both made it through mostly intact.  I was thinking about taking up some more research into this MagiTech stuff.  It could prove useful for the both of us in the future."  She grinned and waved goodbye to her bro.  "I will be looking into purchasing a place to get to work on some things.  I hope to see you there Bro." , and with that she strode off into the town to gather some information on were to get a place.  She hoped that soon, she wouldn't be trailing behind her Bro as much.  She felt more then a little overwhelmed by how much damage the Snatchers did to her, regardless of the new armor.
