A Failed Raid [Hanelli/Combat]

"AH!" the loud elevated scream of the male rang into the ears of the fox tail samurai he watched from below as the player was lifted from the ground by the green tentacles of the snatcher, the plant had come out of nowhere catching them off guard. It would squeeze, and pull at the player threatening to rip him in half, Bunji watched with wide red eyes as the players HP dropped dramatically causing him to burst into nothingness. Squeezing the grip of his katana's hilt tighter he focused his eyes on the plant, it had now focused its attention on him anyway the player would take a wide stance as the plant got closer. Then it happened form the depths of the forest two weasels emerged, small creatures very demonic looking with their piercing eyes all he could do is watch as they approached him the vines on their tails being used as weapons to whip at the player. Bunji would jump back doing his best to avoid and block the whips all the while the giant plant inching closer to him, if it got its grip on him he would be done for.

They were all gone the two players he had teamed up with where dead, Bunji was all alone so it was time for him to think fast or end up like them! "Denkosekka!" he cried out as a wild burst of electrical energy would erupt from his feet crawling upwards to coat his entire body, the fox tails ears straightened, and his tail became stiff. Even his eyes seemed to flare with electrical energy as he let out a mighty battle cry before charging forward with a wild burst of pure speed, the two weasels seemed ready to welcome him their whips lashing out to strike but Bunji would use the electrical coating as a barrier to block the attack muscling through it he swung his electrical sword down at the first weasel. The attack landed flush, the electrical energy surging through the weasels body as it was conducted on contact the creature would let out a mighty cry of pain as its body became entangled by the electricity.

Pulling his sword back Bunji then deliver a follow up strike hitting the weasel again, and knocking it away the other weasel hissed as it lashed at him smacking the player causing Bunji to stumble away. Dragging his sword on the ground he would regain his balance, and flash a glare at the weasel taking a firm stance; he may have damaged one but they were both still alive, and the plant was as well it was already close enough that he could smell it the thick saliva dripping from its open mouth as it inched closer to Bunji. The fox tail inhaled deeply eying the three, this was going to be a long night.

Now that Han was somewhat more decently powered-up (she had several new skills to use, but there was an anomaly with her RP and Crafting, which she could definitely fix later) she decided to go prowling around for something else that she could do… or practice on. She hadn’t heard from the ‘red-headed weirdo’ lately; and last time she checked her ‘Friends’ list, he was somewhere within the area—the downfall here being that it didn’t say where exactly the other person was located. There were other names that were also flashing as ‘Nearby’ as well; but it was the way that Bunji’s name was flashing—that struck her as odd. Okay, what’s going on… time to get down and dirty… she thought as she quickly picked up the pace and headed out to the nearest field—which was out at the Windsor Castle Grounds. She sighed internally; because she knew that her armor and weaponry still sucked (even after gaining a sudden boost in levels) but she would also rectify that later.

After stopping several other exhausted players and asking them if they’d seen the individual she was looking for; she was eventually pointed towards a certain part of the grove and then picked up the pace; quickly using one of her new skills, Accel Dance, and felt… faster. The change wasn’t noticeable, but when she heard a strangled battle cry coming from not too far away, she picked up the pace just in time to see the ever-lovable redhead getting clobbered by what looked like unfamiliar mobs—and the worst part of it all was that they had tentacles, or whip-like appendages, of some sort, trying to grab him and actually eat him! Well, I’d leave you to them but… time to show you what I’ve picked up! She thought, quickly positioning herself and then charging forward, before unleashing her Quick Draw skill on the plant-like being—and before she knew it, she was right next to the vegetative being and delivered a swift, sudden slashing attack!

She then backed away, before seeing that the weasel-like creatures were now attempting to converge on him and attack him from his exposed side, so she quickly performed another one of her newer attacks, which was the Shadow Bind—quite reminiscent of a certain complaining ninja from one of the longest-running series the world had ever seen—and brought down her dagger right on the shadow of the nearest weasel, and grinning as the creature was seemingly pinned in place by an unknown force. What she was not expecting, however, was that the other weasel-like thing was very close to him; so in another fit of desperation, she quickly launched into the first instance of her Deadly Dance skill, leaping up into the air—and finally coming down with a slashing attack—but at the same time her foot was accidentally poised out to kick the creature away…

…and instead she ended up kicking the red-headed fox-hair by complete accident; and she didn’t realize she’d kicked him until she heard a loud yelp of pain issuing from his direction—and this scene looked so familiar she almost slapped a hand to her forehead once she came back down on the ground. Dynamic Entry, anyone? She thought while repressing a peal of laughter as she quickly turned around, facing the enemies, and then for the first time, actually speaking; “Why the hell are you taking on all these uglies all alone? I thought you were with a party?” she rattled off in her accented English, before quickly slipping into another instance of her Deadly Dance skill, jumping and spinning up in the air and headed right for the weasel-like entity that was still unable to move, because it was bound by her Shadow Bind technique—and delivered another downward slashing attack in its direction.

Dynamic Entry

He was waiting for them to get close ready to take them on his mind trying ti put together a decent attack plan, when suddenly out of nowhere from the skies came in a familiar elven girl propelling herself through out the skies towards the nearest plant the pair of red orbs would widen with surprise. He saw as the ninja girl whipped into action, her movements were so fast, and fluid he had to admit he was impressed with her speed the male would tighten the grip on his sword as he waited for the girl to finish hr attacks. That way he would be able to step into the fray himself, however he would find his plan quite literally kicked out of orbit before he knew it he was hit in the face with a solid kick. The young man would shut his eyes on impact the grip around his sword loosening as he was launched back, and his body hit the ground back first. With a loud thud, and a soft groan he would lay there for a moment as he forced himself up rubbing his back "Geez..." he said as he stared up at the girl squinting his face stinging a bit from the pain.

Bunji would push himself up to his feet, not realizing that she had spoken English yet his mind not registering what he had heard the young man would stare at the girl then focus his attention on the confused monsters. There was no time to chit chat, rushing forward Bunji was quick to close the distance between himself, and the weasel that was closes to his attack range the young samurai would swing his katana once, and then a second time. The two combined slashes delivering decent damage onto the weasels HP, finishing it up with a strong thrust he would wipe the weasel out knocking its HP down to zero. Bunji would recover from the thrusting attack the weasel burst into data, leaving just two enemies left the girl seemed to have the other weasel under control with some binding spell.

Focusing his eyes on the plant Bunji smirked "I got the plan ninja girl!" he cried out as he charged the creature as he ran his entire body became coated in electrical energy the energy flying, and sparking all over his body as he got closer to the enemy he would swing his katana horizontally towards the plant. The slash would connect conducting his electricity into the plants body, he would bring his sword back  around for a follow up but instead of connecting he found himself getting smacked by the plants whip the impact resulted in Bunji being knocked back. He would roll into his fall landing on his feet as he pushed upwards taking a stance, "Hey! Mind helping?" he asked the ninja girl as he stood there with his sword in hand, "I'll take its aggro and you attack!" he called out as he charged forward towards the plant again.

“You think you can take care of that?” she shouted once again, clearly in English—she was trying to make the point that he wasn’t just hearing things—when he suddenly came forward, and she felt all the hairs on the back of her neck stand up on end—was he rushing with an electrical charge going through him? She then watched as he took out one of the other weasels—the one she hadn’t bound—and heard its death shriek, before exploding into crystals. She then nodded before quickly dashing over towards the other weasel-like entity and silently activated her Accel Dance skill once again—since she needed the speed boost in order to be able to move slightly faster. This weasel-like entity was still bound, gnashing and attempting to escape the binding ‘spell’ that had been placed on it.

Not today though… she thought as she quickly activated her Deadly Dance skill once again, and took a running start before leaping and jumping up into the air; spinning around and then delivering a downward slash. Seeing that the damage was not enough, she then unleashed another instance of the Deadly dance skill once again—while said weasel-like entity was still thrashing around like crazy, unable to move from the spot where it was bound. Seeing that its Health bar was going down very slowly, she sighed—and repeated the process several more times. She knew that the Deadly Dance skill increased in power the more times she used it; and after what felt like the fifth attempt at using the skill—the weasel-like entity exploded and then left them with just the plant-like creature that was apparently flailing its tentacles about.

Hearing his sudden shout of help—and turning around just in time to see that the plant-like entity was smacking it with its vines, she sighed—before slipping into another instance of Accel Dance in order to gain some speed—and then activated her Quick Draw attack. Seeing that the creature was busy trying to whack all its appendages at her companion, she focused her gaze on the opponent—and then suddenly dashed forward with a burst of speed—and managed to slash off one of the tentacle-like appendages that were bothering the fox-tail. “Come on, I know you’re better than this. Why are you not moving?” she said once again in her accented English—before cocking a smile in his direction and then using the Accel Dance skill once again in order to gain more momentum—as she was going for an aerial strike this time.

She darted out of sight—and then all he could see was a shadow leaping up and then coming down from the sky, screeching loudly in the process as she delivered another downward slash, signaling that she’d used her Deadly Dance skill once more.

The battle raged on, the plant would move its vines with deadly purpose aiming to whip away at Bunji he was able to avoid a few of the frenzied strikes, but some he had to just grit his teeth and endure them. Before he knew it however he found himself being saved by the ninja girl, now this wasn't as surprising as the fact that she talked to him in English, granted there was a heavy accent but it still was English. He would smile at her "Great to hear you finally speaking Englsh Han!" he called out just as she propelled herself into the skies, he would move forward holding his katana with a firm grip as the plant launched its vines at him. Bunji was quick to react with a series of swings slashing his sword at the tentacles hacking them off as they came at him, or avoiding them entirely he was within range now raising his sword overhead he approached the beast "Kabutowari!" he cried out as he swung his sword downward in a single swipe delivering a boosted damage attack, at the same time Han coming down from above. Their combined attacks delivering a serious blow to the plants HP, forcing what remained of it to hit the zero zone causing it to burst into a brilliant array of data crystals.

With that one Bunji would sigh in relief as he fell to his knees with deep breaths as he raised his katana resting the blade on the ground before pushing himself up to his feet. Looking over at the elven girl he smirked "I have to say thanks for the save Han" he said to her as he walked over staring at the girl with a smirk on his features; "The English sounds kinda cute with that accent" he said to her chuckling at his tease. Pulling away from the girl he rolled his shoulders as he stared back at her from over his shoulder, "So, what brought you out here anyways? I don't see a party with you" he said to the girl as his red eyes searched the area; yet he spotted no one else besides Han.

Now that the ugly plant had exploded into bits of data (and subsequently disappeared from the ‘World’) she then alighted herself and came down on a two-point landing, balancing ever-so-precariously on her two feet; and then righting her balance before coming over and giving the red-head a light bap on the forehead. “Why am I here? Guess what, I heard that you were with a party, but when I got here, where the hell are your companions? And you’re crazy, taking on those three monsters alone… what happened to the two companions?” she asked, whipping her dagger off to one side, before finally returning it to its holster. I just felt some déjà vu there… she thought, unable to decide whether or not to lean against a nearby tree or just sit on the stump where the tentacled creature used to perch on.

“Call me crazy but there was no time to call for help. I wanted to give my new skills a test run okay,” she said, flicking a finger in his direction; before actually tapping his forehead (even if she was shorter than the skyscraper in front of her). “Don’t scare me like that, okay? And… well…” she trailed off, looking down at the ground, “…sorry for yelling at you the first time we met. It was my fault entirely…” she trailed off, before actually plating herself on the stump that she was contemplating on earlier. She knew that there were people few and far between who were willing to put up with her ‘lost in translation’ craziness, and this guy was one of them. But…how would he react?

"Honestly?" he said to her as he listened to her question about his companions, "They all died" he said to the girl taking his sword from his shoulder with a quick turn of the wrist he guided the sharpened blade to the scabbard that was neatly strapped to his waist. Once the sword clicked securely into place the young fox tail would roll his neck as he suddenly felt a flick on his forehead causing him to blink a few times. "Ouch" he said rubbing his forehead as he stared down at the girl smirking, "Worrying about me? We don't even know each other that well" he said to the girl with a soft chuckle as he turned from her preparing to walk off to continue his journey further into these territories. He would however stop in his tracks when he heard the girls words, turning over his shoulder he stared at the girl quietly "No worries Han!" he said to her with a raised hand that waved from overhead, "...really, theres no need to say sorry its all good" he said to the girl with a soft chuckle as he turned away preparing to walk but didn't.

With both hands at his side he would stop before marching any further ahead "Hey, Han...you want to come along with me?" he asked as he turned over his shoulder to glance at the girl waiting for her answer, if she said yes or no he would simply begin to walk again his pace keeping at a slow, and steady speed. He would continue to walk turning to Han every once in a while, "So since you decided to tag along, going to fill you in on the basics. We're heading a little deeper in to find a weapon, supposed to belong to some veteran knight, we get it, bring it back to the collector, and we roll out!" he said to the girl with an elevated tone as he continued to walk along. The young fox tail samurai found himself enjoying the pace of his little march as he spotted in the distance what looked like some hectic mess heading their way, he was quick to draw his katana in a flash the worn blade emerging from its respective scabbard.

He would stand still now waiting as the horde approached, once they were close he would smirk "Golems...two of them" he said to the girl as he turned to face her with a motion of the head towards the incoming Golems. He would step forward as they got closer to the duo, "Split them up!" he called out as he rushed towards the two Golem, Bunji would lean far right waiting as the Golem would sense him coming swinging one of its mighty arms at him. Bunji would duck under the swing, and retaliate with two slashes at the Golems body. All the while leaving the other for the ninja girl.

When she listened to the explanation, she was holding back the temptation to actually smack a hand to her forehead—why did he let his companions die?—and then just shook her head as she began, “Well, I’m not going to ask about why they died, so…” she trailed off, looking up and seeing that he’d gone off ahead somewhere—leaving her behind once again! “Hey, wait for me!” she said, quickly picking herself up and off the stump, and then matching his pace as he began explaining something that they were about to do—and then she chuckled. What are we, a lost and found corner? She thought to herself as he was talking about the details of what they were going to do today—and she suspected that this may have been their original objective in the first place—before all of his companions ended up getting eaten.

So this was what you were really supposed to do eh? She thought as she quickly unwound the rope that she was carrying around her right shoulder—her kunai hung off the other end of said rope, so she quickly tied the loose end and then made it look like a ‘lasso’, or whatever it was called. Since he had gone off and engaged with the first Golem (that had taken a swing at him as of this point) she then turned her attention towards the second one—which was now trundling in her direction. “Oh come near me why don’t you,” she said with a grin on her face, before stepping a few paces backward and then positioning herself to throw the looped rope that she was now spinning in her other hand. Once the second Golem had come in with its flailing fists, she ducked—and then tossed the rope right through its legs and then watched as it went through to the other side.

Quickly picking up on the hint, she then rolled aside as the Golem came in for an over handed bashing attack—and then she had the other end of the rope and quickly pulled it tat, steeling her legs as she did so. “This is how I deal with them!” she shouted, trying to angle the Golem’s falling trajectory so that it would hit the other Golem as well—and both would topple over and be essentially defenseless. “Heave ho!” she shouted in her native language for a moment, quickly untying the know she’d made on the rope and then pulling at it with all her might; in an attempt to make the Golem flop over and catch its fellow with its flailing fists. She then threw all of her weight against the taut rope and watched as slowly, yet surely, the Golem she’d tackled was tipping over—and one of its fists was flailing wildly and managed to clobber the other Golem for some indirect damage as well—before falling over on its side, rendering its arms effectively useless.

“Score,” she said with a grin, quickly whipping the rope back towards her and coiling it again around her shoulder, before turning her attention to the second Golem that was currently in the process of pummeling her companion into a fine powder. She then darted her way around the battlefield, and then came within proximity of the shadow of the other Golem, and aimed a quick attack at it, activating her Shadow Bin technique. I really should read Naruto again so that I can call this by its ‘proper’ name… she thought with a grin as she stabbed the hanging end of the kunai on the shadow, and watched as the Golem stopped moving. “Hit it with everything, go!” she shouted, quickly dashing back over to the other fallen Golem and doing the same thing, releasing the Shadow Bind technique for this one as well so that it was prone and inert.

Now the real fun begins… she thought as she quickly came in from an angle, whipping out her dagger in the process—and activating her Deadly Dance skill, coming down on this golem she’d tripped over with a downward slashing attack.

Bunji would lure his target away from the other one, splitting these two would make them much easier to take on he held a strong stance as the Golem chased him swinging its arms wildly at him. The fox tail samurai remained serious as he watched it approach, his eyes focused on it the burning red orbs glaring directly at the Golem as he it got closer to him. Holding his sword overhead he moved forward with a quick dash, leaning slightly to the right he avoided a thrust from one of the Golems arms once he was within range his eyes widened as he swung. "Kabutowari!" he called out allowing his sword to travel down across the surface of the Golem's solid body, the attack served to add damage to the creatures HP forcing it to stumble back, but even then it would retaliate. Bunji however was ready dodging the swing just barely he remained out of its range holding his katana overhead as he stood there staring at the Golem, his blade picking up wind around it to allow a steady flow of the element to run up the sharpened blade.

"Izunagiri!" he cried out swinging his sword downward again this time releasing a dense blade of air at the Golem, the blade sliced across the surface of the ground on which it traveled smashing directly into the Golem's body causing the creature to howl in pain. The blade of wind digging deep into the Golem's body causing it to stumble back, Bunji watched the HP bar drop just a bit more he could not help but wonder how tough these bastards were. With a smirk the male charged forward holding his katana at the ready as he closed the distance at a rapid pace, watching as the Golem seemed to prepare for his approach he would jump up just as it swung for his body Bunji soared through the air landing on the ground with both feet swinging twice at the Golem's face. This time he was not as lucky to dodge seeing as the creature managed to shake, and fling him off its body causing Bunji to tumble on the surface of the ground.

Bunji would push up off the ground allowing him to hop up to his feet, the fox tail wiped from dirt from his face, and smirked as he watched the Golem charge him this thing was stubborn but he was going to take it out. He stayed low as he moved ahead to meet the Golen head on pretty much when the creature swung he dashed keeping his body low as he swung at the lower legs of the Golem his sword digging deep into its hard flesh. Stopping he turned around thrusting his sword into its back pushing it deeply into the creatures body, pulling the blade from place he would step back watching as its HP had dropped just a bit more. He would finish it off anytime now...

Wondering if he’d even noticed that she’d done him a slight favor by ‘freezing’ his Golem in its tracks, she then skidded off to one side and saw that the Golem that she was trying to attack was now flailing uselessly on its side; and she decided to take advantage of this by quickly activating her Accel Dance technique, for that additional burst of speed—before launching into another instance of Deadly Dance, complete with spinning in mid-air, glinting weapon, and the downward slash she then unleashed on the Golem that was now next-to-useless. Come on, go faster…. Go faster! Her mind shouted as she continued to release the limits, invoking Accel Dance again; and then following it up with another instance of Deadly Dance. She knew that taking this Golem down would take some time; but she was willing to endure the impatience that she normally reared in order to make sure that the Lesser Soil Golem stayed dead.

After spamming the Deadly Dance attack several more times in rapid succession, she then came to a stop to catch her breath—and the Golem’s Health bar was at more or less half of what it was when she started her tactics. She then decided to pick up the speed and change it up a bit; first using Accel Dance again to gain even more momentum—but instead of Deadly Dance, changed it to Quick Draw and then met the Golem with a surprise slash—and then started following it up with generic stabbing and slashing attacks, watching as her weapon started making cuts and tracks across the Golem’s surface. After what felt like another eternity, she then heard the groaning come from her Golem—it had exploded and was now nothing but non-existent data that rejoined the system.

Seeing that her companion was having some problems with the Golem he was taking care of, she decided to go assist him—by launching into another instance of Deadly Dance; and she then came screaming from above; landing and scoring a direct hit on the Golem he was trying to take care of! “Come on! Help me!” she shouted, quickly darting off to one side and preparing to sue Deadly Dance again—it was true what they said about the skill; the more one used it, the more powerful it became. “On three! One, two…” she said, before jumping into the air and activating the skill with a leap and a spin—and then a shout. “Three!” and out came the downward slash which left a deep mark on the Golem that he was trying to eradicate. “Go, take it, it’s yours,” she said, backing off to take a breather and watch him take care of the Golem.

He was about to clash with the Golem again when out of nowhere the ninja girl came plummeting down from the skies assaulting the Golem out of nowhere, he would widen his eyes as he watched her get to work almost immediately. He would watch quietly as her rapid attacks succeeded in landing onto the Golem's body striking it down over, and over again' she landed a serious blow to the creature as she jumped away giving him space to work. He would nod quietly at the girl "Thanks!" he said as he dashed forward his cloak rustling wildly behind him as he approached the Golem, once he was within reach he would slash one of its arm, then spin around slash across its torso with the sword again this combined with the damage he had done earlier, and then with the ninja girls attack he managed to deplete its HP to zero. The Golem would burst into a brilliant array of data crystals its body existing no more.

Relaxing from his attack stance, Bunji would look up at Hanelli smiling at her "Hey Hanelli!" he called out to her noticing she was catching her breath, "Let's race to the entrance of the ruins!" he said as he turned from her sprinting from the girl getting a head start. "Better catch up!" he yelled back to the girl turning back over his shoulder towards her moving as fast as he could to get closer to the wide entrance of the ruins in the distance. To ensure that he would win he grant himself a little speed boost, "Ready to eat my dust slowpoke?" he asked the girl as his eyes flashed with electricity and his body suddenly burst with electrical energy. Using the skill Denkosekka, he would rush forward using the speed boost to allow him to move faster.

Bunji would notice a nearby row of rubble kicking off the ground thanks to his speed he would propel himself towards the rubble landing on it with firm feet bending his knees on impact he would extend his legs, and push himself upwards off the chunk of rubble. He would land on the ground rather roughly but managed to sprint towards the entrance of the ruin, the electrical energy still surging through him allowing him to move with great speed, sliding to a stop once he got to the entrance h would pant heavily. The electrical energy would begin to face around him the cackles of the lightning bolts going silent; turning towards Hanelli he grinned "....ready to go in?" he asked her motioning his head towards the ruin entrance.

“Heh, don’t mention it,” she said, waving a hand in his direction—looking up in time to see that the other Golem had also been eradicated due to his last incoming attack. Now that the threat of the Lesser Golems was put aside—he then proposed a chase towards wherever they were headed—and then he was off! “Cheater!” she shouted, cocking a grin, before breaking out into the fastest dash that she could manage—and then secretly activating her Accel Dance as well, in order to gain additional momentum for running. She knew that Accel Dance was supposed to help speed up attacks; but otherwise it also provided a temporary boost in movement speed as well; so she decided to use that to her advantage. At the same time, her crazy imagination went into overdrive—and she imagined herself as being one of the myriad ninjas in a certain series she had completed collecting—and was chasing someone from another village—or was he a wanted man?

She then saw that he’d boosted his speed by climbing upon some rubble—and she then did something nuts—she then came to the nearest stump that she could see, and with a few steps, she had propelled herself to momentarily race and dart through the air, before coming to land with naught but a sound—because the Elvin race were light-footed; and she then used her Accel Dance skill once again to pick up speed and to put on another momentary burst of energy into her movement. Apparently the two had arrived at approximately the same time; and they were now at some sort of ruin; and he was bent over double, trying to catch his breath—to which she could only chuckle a bit. Once she’d arrived, she then placed an arm on her waist and waited for him to get up and start walking again—and then just nodded.

“Lead the way, fearless leader,” she said in her accented English; what with the ‘L’ coming out all wrong, it was like she was literally rolling her ‘R’.

Her words rewarded her a chuckle as he rose up to stand fully upright now he would turn towards the entrance to the ruins his full body facing that direction "Let's do so with some caution though" he said to her as he walked into the ruins the creeping darkness swallowing them both. However they would not venture too deep into the ruins before being welcomed by the warm glow of a few torches rowed on the walls just a few feet ahead, now normally this would be a relief but it raised some red flags in Bunji's mind. Raising a hand he motioned for Han to stop walking, "This isn't normal" he whispered to her narrowing his eyes as he inched further down the long stone hallway of the ruin, his hand resting on the scabbard of his sword. Lowering his other hand he would grip the hilt pulling the sword from the scabbard, once it was fully revealed he would hold it at his side as he walked down the long stone corridor his attention on full alert. Nearly losing the grip on his katana his body would propel back flying away from where he once stood making contact with the ground he rolled violently, and his blde would skid across the surface of the stone floor the steel blade causing a loud screeching sound to echo into the cave. Coughing as he felt a dull yet pulsing pain washing over him from his chest mainly he would push himself up to his feet as best he could, "What the hell...was that?" he asked feeling a bit wobbily looking up he found himself staring at a stone Golem standing at the end of the hallway. The towering creature howled angrily at the intruders, Bunji would glare at the Golem "Let's not waste any time! We take it together...READY GO!" he called out as he charged the creature, raising his sword overhead Bunji would dash quickly at the beast.

Leaning to the side he avoided its thrust "Not again!" he yelled out as he swung his katana downward using Kabutowari to damage the Golem with his ace move, the extra damage dealt came from the fact that it had full HP. Raising his katana again he would gather wind at the blade, "Get ready Han!" he called out as he swung downward activating Izunagiri as he unleashed a dense balde of wind that smashed into the Golem. The beast howled and cried in pain as it felt the blade of wind pierce its solid body. "Finish it off!" he called out to Han hoping she'd take the chance.

Now that they had arrived at the ‘destination’, the fox-tail decided to take the lead position, which was fine with her—considering that she was still ‘squishy’, in online gaming terms. Now that he was walking forward, she followed him from behind—and noticed that instead of a dimly-lit, if not pitch-black ruined area, this one was completely lit, complete with flickering torches and all that. “Now that you mention it, it’s not normal…” she began, keeping up with his pacing, as they went deeper into said ruins, before hearing a shout of surprise—or was it pain—coming from up ahead. She then picked up the speed and arrived to see that he had been sent flying—by a leering, trundling Golem. “You again?!” she shouted out of shock and dismay, this time rushing forward and getting her dagger out and ready.

She saw that its attention was now drawn to her; since she’d moved into its ‘line of vision’—and then, she disappeared. A split-second later she reappeared, and delivered a slashing attack; courtesy of her Quick Draw technique. Even if it barely made a dent in the Golem’s Health points, she knew that every single attack counted—and that they were running on a pretty tight schedule. “Alright, thanks, I definitely will!” she said, watching as he hacked away at the Golem—and she was waiting for the perfect opening—when she saw it. Quickly activating her Accel Dance skill, she then put on a burst of speed, before chaining it together with the Deadly Dance skill—and she then jumped up high, spinning through the air as she did so. Wondering if this attack would do greater damage if she used a wakizashi—or anything similar to it—she then brought down a single, downward slash towards the Golem that was now swinging its fists wildly—trying to hit the fox-tail.

She heard the Golem’s groaning rumble, and then skidded off to one side—and then repeated the process again, this time coming in from the opposite side and delivering another downward slashing attack, courtesy of the Deadly Dance skill. This time, with the combined attacks of the two adventurers, this Golem’s Health bar went down to zero; and then it exploded, leaving nothing but a shower of pixels and data. “Come on, let’s go in!” she shouted, putting on a burst of speed and then going deeper into the ruins, hoping to find whatever it was they were looking for, and be done with it.

He was forced to dodge the thing decided to retaliate swinging its fists wildly at him, Bunji would step out of range just barely able to avoid the wild fists as his back hit the wall he would keep his sword up doing his best to remain out of range best he could. When suddenly the Golem burst into data bits, he watched as the brilliant crystals lit up the long corridor, he would smile giving the girl a nod as she charged ahead he himself quickly picking up speed to run after her. His long cloak danced behind him wildly, and his katana kept in his hand as he moved after her doing his best to keep up with her. The two would work their way own the long corridor without any more resistance eventually coming to a large opening there in front of them resting on what seemed to be a stone altar. it was a longsword lined with gold trimmings around the edges, and dazzling jewels decorating the hilt of it he would step towards it raising a hand at Han once he caught up.

"Stay here...I'll get the sword" he said to the girl as he walked with caution towards the sword his ears twitching as they heard nearby sounds all around but nothing to cause him to become too alert; he would continue to make his way to the stone altar. Once he was there he would push his katana into the scabbard, the blade hiding from view as he reached with his sword hand for the longsword handle. His fingers curled around the hilt as he pulled it from the altar his muscles contracting to exert the necessary force to lift the sword from the spot, once he had done that he would hold it up looking it over recognizing the features of the sword. Then it happened the entire ruins started shaking violently, his eyes widened, ears twitched wildly, and his tail stiffened turning from the altar he rushed towards Han, and towards the exit. "RUN!" he called out as he began to make his way down the corridor. Behind them the sound of the entire corridor caving in on itself roaring as the two ran for the exit, Bunji would dive out shoulder first landing into a rough, and sloppy roll.

He would land on one knee heavy breaths, and wide eyes he would allow himself to sit back against something he did not realize he was leaning against Hanelli. "Oh man...that was a close one, would've really sucked" he said with a chuckle to the girl resting his head back against her head, "...this sword better be worth it for that collector" he said with a shake of his head.

Once they’d taken care of the Golem, going through the rest of the area was easy, and once they’d reached the end of the ruins, there was something seemingly stuck in a stone up ahead. Wait a second why does this look like Excali--? She thought to herself as Bunji volunteered to go forward and get the sword—more like wedge it out of the place it was driven in—and once he’d finally gotten it, alarm bells started going off in her head. Ah stupid! What were you thinking?! She thought wildly as she watched his ears twitch—and tail went rigid—and then he was running past her, screaming in her direction to run for her life! No need to tell me twice! She thought as the area was literally coming down all around them—and she quickly applied her Accel Dance skill in order to move much quicker; because there was no way in hell she was getting trapped in ruins that were self-destructing!

She saw him throw himself towards the opening—but she was much quicker—although her landing was less than graceful, as she’d also thrown herself out of the collapsing structure; and found herself…atop him! She then felt her face burn red for a few seconds as her eyes locked on with his crimson ones—and then she rolled away, hiding the extremely embarrassed and flustered look on her face! Gah! Too close! Too close for comfort! She was saying in the back of her mind as he was rambling about having ‘too many close calls’—in her case, it went two ways; the first one was for almost losing her life back there; the second was almost kissing the red-head in the process! Agh! Why am I so flustered around him?! She thought to herself, feeling her face overheat and choosing to address him after a few moments of silence, “…yeah he’d better pay us good otherwise I’ll strangle him, that place was a trap in itself…” she trailed off, still unable to face him because she was still blushing like hell!
