Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | Welp. It wasn’t like Kumori could move at this point in time. His legs were captured by the thorns already, and so while he was attempting to free himself, a huge glob of burning acid had hit both he and Capsule. He couldn’t help but feel this was because they were ‘hitting’ on each other, where in reality, Ryuu was just helping a person in need, and he had nothing to do anyways. Well, the burning sensation was definitely painful, and it looked like Capsule wasn’t dealing with it well. As an enchanter, he presumed that it was unlikely for her to get hurt all that much, so he could understand, somewhat, her frustration. Ryuu cut the roots around him and Capsule and pulled her away from the acid so that it didn’t continue dealing damage from below them. He then looked at her back, which was covered with the stuff, and her HP dropping rapidly.
Now at this point, Ryuu’s author really wanted to rip the cloth off of Capsule. Standard lab procedure was that should you be splashed with acid, all clothing should be removed and then the body be run through a 9 gallon cold shower. Has anyone ever pulled one of those? They’re pretty cool, but it’s cooooollllddd. Also, it was always a bad idea to remove the goggles, but Capsule had no goggles, so she required an eye-wash too. So… eye-wash + naked shower… would’ve been an awesome sight for any male if this was a lab class… unfortunately, such things were impossible to come by, and since the acid was a bit viscous, Ryuu flipped his blade around so that it had the blunt edge. “Ich bitte Sie“ he said to her before quickly swiping the blunt part of his blade against her armor as he held her shoulder so she would stay standing straight as he quickly ran the blade down her back and flicked it away from her. It would help her a bit, but he was still taking some damage from the viscous acid. He did the same to himself and then looked towards Capsule and nodded.
Hirosame, the evasion tank decided to take charge and give orders. That was better and much more tank like. Ryuu nodded at his orders and waited for the right time to deal his final blow. Stealth Strike was now off of cool down as was Deadly Dance. That would be his final blow to the vaginaweed, as everyone was calling it. Speaking of naked people... wasn’t Maya-chwan naked? Why was she so proud to be naked?! That whore! Anyways. Ryuu knelt on his knees and then stuck his butt up as if he was in asprinting position. As soon as he heard Hiro’s “Now“ Ryuu activated his first skill [Quick Draw] to close the gap without incurring too much damage. After that, he’d run right past Maya-chwan and activate [Stealth Strike] succeeded by [Deadly Dance]. He hoped this was enough to finish the stupid plant. He was more than tired of this fight.

Hadn't these foolish adventurers learned anything by this point? Hadn't they learned anything at all? Certainly, @dindeen's attacks had the effect of keeping Justice Mayahuel from lashing out any further at Kumori or Capsule and by keeping Super Sentai Maya-chan's head stuck in the earth, the creature didn't really have an opportunity to cast another round of Miasma, keeping even @0x1dea relatively safe. Heck, with Hirosame's final assault and the general rallying of all the forces, it looked very much like Maya-kouhai was going to go down. Even throughout her several iterations, the party had gone ahead and really done a number to Mayahuel's health. It had been a battle well-fought and Kumori's final smash against the plant's body really did seem to drop its health down to zero. But really, hadn't these Adventurers learned anything? It was now recommended that all the adventurers hover their mouse over the 'number of health bars' and 'health bar' itself. Nevermind if the adventurers didn't understand what that meant. The people watching from beyond the void would understand that. Imeanwhat. Anyway, Mayahuel wouldn't go down that easily. The creature's body shrieked and croaked against the roots and as its charred black skin began to crack and shatter around it, its health bars began to go completely insane. Didn't they know that when a hero is defeated, she only comes back stronger than before? Didn't they know about justice? Didn't they know about any of that? Mayahuel let out a massive roar as its oversized head reached up to the heavens. With its health bar as it was, even if anyone was to deal damage, who was to say if it would have any effect? Yes, it was the dreaded invincibility frames. As anyone knew, however, invincibility frames were not given out willy-nilly. There were no direct attacks that were to come from here on out. Mayahuel let out another burst of Miasma before beginning to swell up like an overfilled water balloon. Its normally agape mouth was closed and its vines and roots began to swell further and further, going from ugly monster plant to strange watermelon-like ugly monster plant. Not a very attractive look, but justice is not always pretty! The creature swelled up further and further, light beginning to build up. At this point, everyone should have been able to guess what might happen. That said, the designers and AI creators themselves were not terrible people. They weren't so cruel as to have Mayahuel suddenly regenerate all its life and such. This was simply the last stand of a field boss who had yet to be defeated, a field boss that would not go down so easily. As it swelled and the light grew stronger and stronger, the plant turned its mouth down. The maw of the beast was pointed at where it seemed to sprout from the ground, now an engorged bulbous plant with liquid swirling around. It fired a Solar Beam, but not at any adventurer. No, it was straight down at its own roots. If it was to die, it would go out with a bang. See, it had been filing its insides with Acidic Sap, and now, it was using its last cheap trick. The solar beam would decimate its body, charring its remains before causing the entire creature to burst and explode, releasing the corrosive acid out from its body in a massive rain. Anyone caught unprepared would face the suicidal bomber tactics of Mayahuel. A literal rain of Acidic Sap across the entire field. Perhaps the only person who would make it out without any issues would be Oxford, with his giant shield. Just like that, however, the carnivorous field boss took its own life. The party had forced it to that point and, if they could survive its suicidal assault, they would certainly be able to collect the reward. The charred remains of Mayahuel's maw rested on the ground where it had spawned, smoking quietly and sending soft wisps of ash and smoke up into the air. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Results} Mayahuel has been defeated!
Congratulations! Writing style and color stolen from Scoria, as revenge for him having stolen from me in a Provisional Claim. Revenge. Rewards: Kumori: Nectar Scabbard - Lv30 accessory. Cannot be reforged or enchanted. A sheath made from the plant skin of Mayahuel, which grows to fit the weapon as though it were alive. A golden sap-like substance gradually diffuses from the inside of this scabbard, saturating the surface of any inserted blade. Any target struck by said weapon within the next 10 seconds receives a slowing debuff that stacks with each successful hit. @dindeen: Miasma Enchant Scroll - Rank C enchant. Enchants on any weapon. A scroll that can be enchanted onto an existing piece of equipment by using it in the Market Center. The scroll is consumed upon use, adding the suffix enchant "Miasma" to the equipment's name and applying the following effects: - Damage received for poison effects is halved. - When poisoned, raise the user's physical defense by 10 levels. @0x1dea: Maledict Enchant Scroll - Rank C enchant. Enchants on any weapon. A scroll that can be enchanted onto an existing piece of equipment by using it in the Market Center. The scroll is consumed upon use, adding the prefix enchant "Maledict" to the equipment's name and applying the following effects: - When poisoned, raise the user's physical damage by 10 levels. - When attacked by a poisoned enemy, lower the enemy's physical damage by 10 levels. Capsule: Mayahuel Flower Bud - Lv30 accessory. Cannot be reforged or enchanted. A blood-red flower bud that is very much alive. It feeds off of the anima in the atmosphere, making the air feel stagnant after a few minutes without ventilation. One might even hear voices being near this flower bud. Regardless, it is worn as a hair accessory. Equipping this accessory gives the wearer access to the skill [Miasma Sprout], which shoots a seed from the flower bud into the ground. After 2 seconds, a miniature Mayahuel plant will sprout and spread a poisonous mist for 30 seconds, affecting all enemies. This accessory's effect may only be used up to three times per thread. Hirosame: Maledict Enchant Scroll - Rank C enchant. Additionally, all players have received 1000 Gold and 10 AP for the successful raid completion. Edit 1: Scabbard typo - 10 minutes to 10 seconds. Otherwise so OP, man.

Equipped: Charcoal Yoroi with Pitch-black Yukata | Windsor Antiqua Nagamaki (2H) Skill: --- Things seemed to be going downhill and fast, but at least Zantetsuken worked somewhat that time around. It did nothing for damage, but the skill was useful if played correctly according to the situation. Though the field boss could not be defeated with such a move, there were four other players present aside from Caerbannog and she trusted them to fulfill their roles. That said, if it wasn’t a boss fight, the samurai would have thought that Hiro was fulfilling his role a bit too much. Not only were his previous moves crazy like some kung-fu fighter’s; the monk actually began to yell out orders protag-style. Not that Caer minded, rather she thought it was somewhat cool and she wished just a little bit that she could be like that. Tanks ought to lead parties after all.
The other members of the party were not as lively though. Even the samurai had her HP cut down to half, so they would have to end the fight soon. After Kumori’s attack, Maya-chwan seemed to be getting ready for... was that a final attack? Or a rejuvenation skill? Caerbannog would not have been surprised if it was the latter, but damn that would have been so cheap. If Maya-chwan prettied up herself and went back to full health again, they’d probably have to ditch the thing or keep fighting until they were all dead. But if it was some sort of final assault... the wolf-hair dashed and parked herself between the assassin, who’d just finished his combo, and the massive weed of justice. Capsule was a bit further back so Caerbannog hoped that either Hiro, who moved quickly, or Oxford with his shield could assist her.
And then Maya-chwan asploded. Apparently she was a suicide bomber disguised as a magical girl disguised as a giant weed in the middle of that clearing at Savill Flower Grove. The samurai was shorter and smaller than her brother, but her presence should have shielded him somewhat. With the fight over, loot popped up all over the place along with EXP points and gold. Caerbannog shook her hands to get some of the acid off and then she tried to at least clean up her face. It proved to be difficult, but they were out of combat so her hit points could probably regenerate quickly enough against the acid damage.
“Good work everyone! Time to rest now!“ was what she said. Really, it was much simpler to say in Japanese. How did otsukaresamadeshita translate to such a long statement anyway?

| | A voice from behind him caused Oxford to turn, seeing the exhausted tattered form of the red-haired Enchanter. She looked like she could use a hug, but right now, that tablet that she offered to him was probably the only thing that would keep him alive against any final attacks.
"Ah, thank you."
He gulped down the tablet, feeling a surge of energy as he watched his HP climb back up to somewhere around 50%. Probably enough to last the Guardian for the rest of the fight. The monk had made a good call, watching everyone else position themselves appropriately as Mahou Shoujo Maya-chan began to commit a Solar Beam seppuku, releasing a fresh wave of noxious fumes and a parting wave of Acidic Sap. The Guardian quickly pulled his shield out of the ground, holding it high above his head to shield himself. Reflexively, he grabbed Capsule and pulled her close to him to ensure she didn't recieve anymore of the burning rain of pain. There we go, Cap got that hug Oxford wanted to give...kinda.
"Sorry about being too close for comfort. Hopefully, this nasty rain doesn't last too long."
As he said this, he began to hear a bunch of metallic clinks against his shield, coins of gold lying at their feet as Oxford cautiously lowered his shield, making sure there wasn't any more of that horrid sap falling from the sky.
The magical girl now deader than a doornail, Ox began to pick up the money scattered about, bringing it with him as he met up with the other players for it to be divvied up appropriately. After slinging his shield over his shoulder and sheathing his sword, he nodded to all the party members. He removed his glasses as he wiped away some globs of dirt and sap off of them as he spoke.
"Nice fighting with you all. We should do this again."
...Once I level appropriately.
After all was said and done, Oxford gave a wave to the others as they all went their seperate ways. The Guardian beamed over his reward item, a magical enchantment scroll. Perfect for the aspiring Scribe. But for now, a good night's sleep was due. And a shower. Definitely a shower. |

Hiro watched as Kumori moved in for the final hit, which did exactly as it was supposed to. Kumori's final strikes seemed to be quite effective, in the end. He was glad for that, of course, and started to relax a little bit. But, that relaxing came to an end once he saw Mayahuel billowing up like a balloon. Was this Mayahuel's infamous Balloon-Style technique? That she would inflate to the point of encompassing the world? What kind of magic was that? How else would this monster- Nope, she's shooting her own feet. A bit pointless, since it probably wouldn't do anything. But, right then is when he realized that the Solar Beam that the monster was shooting at itself wasn't just for a flashy goodbye. No no no, not even in the slightest. Acidic Sap flew all around, and formed globs in the air. One glob actually managed to fly all the way over to the Monk, who was a fair distance away. Far enough, at least, to avoid the Uproots left and right.
All in all, the fight was done. Hiro looked at his allies, and saw them celebrating a little bit. He saw Oxford giving Capsule a hug, which he found to be a little funny. Chuckling at the motion, Hiro started to walk over towards where Mayahuel's body was. He started to look it over, when the Rewards screen appeared, and a sack of money crashed down onto his head. Rubbing the back of his head, he grabbed the money, and another item that looked like a scroll. And then another scroll fluttered down to the ground, right next to him. He picked that up, too, and put all the items in his inventory. Standing back up, he looked around at his allies again. Caerbannog was shouting her content with the group's actions, and how they all performed in the group quest. It seemed as though English wasn't her first language, which he found to be a bit different. Sure, Hiro, himself, wasn't British, French, German, or whatever else have you. Hiro was originally Japanese, before his parents abandoned him when he was very little. Perhaps there were more Japanese people in this world? He shrugged it off, and started to walk back to town. He would probably need a shower after that whole encounter, but it was a good fight, either way.

It must have started around the same time she stopped to provide aid to Oxford, but she only noticed this after Kumori dealt the final blow to the Mayahuel. Was it over…? She glanced over at Oxford and his rapidly regenerating health for some sort of explanation, but he seemed focused on the fight, too. Capsule raised a hand to her mouth and gently bit down on it as she watched Maya slowly decay - 'Oh shit. Not now, please.' She had thought that Maya would go quietly, seeing as how her life was apparently expended, but that was a horrible thing to assume.
The miasma the Mayahuel gave off did not surprise Capsule, but the deliberate firing of the Solar Beam at her own roots did. Why the hell would she do such a thing with the remainder of her strength? Why not focus that energy on aiming at her foes? Or did she hope to free herself from the ground and "walk" about? That wasn't an answer she would be receiving, nor did she have much time to contemplate it as the giant plant suddenly exploded into a rain of acidic sap. Capsule froze, like a deer caught in the headlights. It would have been impossible for her to escape the acidic rain, and she was lucky that Oxford was quick enough to hug her close-
Capsule's face turned a deep shade of red as she found herself in close proximity to the Guardian, who was shielding them from the acid with his shield. "Er, no, it's fine…" That was a bit of a lie. Capsule wasn't used to being touched by people she wasn't related to. Being manhandled by her brothers in her youth was something so common that she likened it to natural and necessary occurrences, such as breathing. Hugs of any sort were a different story, though. Not even her brothers did that; if anyone in her household could be bothered to give hugs, it was her mother, and those could be counted on one hand.
The redhead was lightly flailing her hands by her sides when the acidic rain gave way to coins and other goodies. Money was raining from the sky, but that was almost as bad as the acid. No one wanted to have handfuls of coins thrown at them. It sounded like a lot, too. If this were a cartoon, money symbols would flash across Capsule's pupils. There was a lot of coin to be had, but not only that. Maya-chan's death came with presents.
Feeling much like the naughty child that collected coins from fountains, Capsule scooped up what must have been one thousand coins, and stuffed them into her inventory. She then targeted a queer little flower bud that was calling her name. "CAPSULE-DONOOO~!" Yeah, that just happened. It wasn't a crafting material for her Pharmacist class, but she suspected that this flower bud would still be of great use to her. The bud purred softly in her hands. "Place me in your hair, like you would a hair accessory. It'll make things easier." The flower bud was definitely talking to her.
K.
K.
The bud giggled when she turned it over in her fingers. "Cut it out! That tickles!" The underside of the bud consisted of tiny vine like tentacles, which latched onto Capsule's hair when she raised the bud to her head. The bud resumed its odd purring once it made itself comfortable. "Please take care of me, senpai! I'm not like that dumb old Maya. I'm delicate, like a little flower~."
"Don't worry…"
"Call me Chibi Maya-chan!" Chibi Maya-chan? Capsule nervously checked the info on the flower bud. Equipping it like she did just now allowed her to use a skill named "Miasma Sprout," which would turn the bud into a tiny replica of the Mayahuel. The thirty second poisonous mist it generated sounded quite nice indeed. Capsule raised a hand to high five the small vine that snaked down her cheek. The two of them would get along smashingly. For now, though, Capsule only wanted to go home and cry herself to sleep.
"Come on, Chibi." Without prior knowledge of the flower bud, people would assume that she was talking to herself. Capsule desummoned the still missing Fiver to his quick slot, and then toggled her Call of Home skill to poof back to Londinium. The flower expedition would temporarily be put on hold while she recuperated and studied the sentient flower bud.

| Skills: Tags: | : Word Count : 0556 OOC Notes: Quick Slot: Windsor Antiqua Throwing Knives | With the satisfying feeling of planty flesh being cut with his knife, Ryuu pulled it out to reveal a purple, yellow, green mixture of plant blood. He flicked his knife out, satisfied with the outcome of his attack. He wasn’t prepared for what was about to happen, as he didn’t expect the yandere magical school girl to come back to life and decide to destroy the living daylights out of the group again. He didn’t think that they could continue on for much longer, at least not at the rate they were fighting at. The Miasma had proven to be QUITE a problem for the Assassin, and taking any more damage from that would result in his eventual death. Sure, he could probably dodge most, if not all of the attacks thrown at him, but how could he dodge something that was in the air, all around him? He had to breathe, and if he didn’t, he’d still be burned by the acidic effects of it.
Ryuu didn’t have much time to react. Scratch that, he had no time to react. He stepped back, back peddling to whatever safety he could find. “Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!” he would yell out. The banes of being a melee DPS and being the dealer of the final blow meant he was the most vulnerable, until he saw a shadow move past his position, right in front of him. As the Solar Beam exploded into the ground, Ryuu stabbed his daggers into the ground to anchor him down, hoping that would keep him from flying away, and the meat shield that was in front of him. The familiar body figure and hair that he saw the back of, probably too many times, was in front of him. “Arigato, Kyuu-chan!” he said so only she could hear. She was the closest to him after all.
After a heavy-breathing, heart-pounding, adrenaline-rushing 5 seconds, they were finally in the clear as a reward window had popped up and an item had been awarded to him. As he opened his left hand after sheathing his left dagger, a scabbard was placed in his hand. The scabbard was made of a tough leafy and waxy skin, that was probably stronger than his normal scabbard if he decided to use it as a weapon. He checked the item and looked at its name and ability. “Nectar Scabbard, huh?” he mused. The assassin placed the dagger next to the scabbard, and the scabbard engulfed the blade part of the dagger. After it did so, he pulled it and placed it back in to see if it felt any different from pulling it from a normal scabbard. Surprisingly, there was no difference, and it seemed like there was a decent addition to the effect of the blade. He could now hit things and they would be afflicted with the slow effect. He grinned sheepily as he couldn’t help but feel like he was going to have tons of fun, torturing the little monster mobs that annoyed him. He strapped the scabbard to where his old scabbard was and placed that one in his inventory. He picked up what looked like 1000 gold pieces and then turned to follow Kyuu stage left. “It was nice working with you all. Let’s do it again sometime!” he said enthusiastically.
