The next creature in Darko's slate on his making of a creature catalog was the Pittered Boar. But before he take the case of the grown Pittered Boars in the Windsor Greatwood, he would first study their young, the Young Pittered Boars. Although he had seen both of these creatures at one time, he really did not see how a Young Pittered Boar grew up into a Pittered Boar, and how a Pittered Boar grew up to be Iron-Tusked Gerald. There were no indications on how they grew up, as there were no transition stages between the Young Pittered Boar and the Pittered Boar, and also between the Pittered Boar and the Iron-Tusked Gerald. That lack of transition stages made Darko really puzzled, but then he thought that this was an extraordinary world, where magic and superpowers could work, and he was also in a game, and so it should not surprise him. It was a common thing in video games that he would not see the transition between species that seemed the same yet on different levels, and as Darko thought of it, this game had progressed a lot, but not quite as the same problems with old video games also appeared here.
And so the young sorcerer went back to the Windsor Greatwood to study the habits of the Young Pittered Boars, both in their daily life and in their fighting skills. Most commonly he would find them within thinned patches of trees and mud holes within the forest, as was the dwelling places of boars in his world. Although he would not commonly run into such places, he remembered where were those places were, and, as soon as he entered the forest he directed his feet towards that location. He knew that some boars might be settling there for some time, and so he was confident that he would find a large number of boars there.
Sure enough, as he moved towards the nearest forest clearing, he saw numerous Young Pittered Boars enjoying the sun that shone amidst the clearing, some eating off fruits from the shrubs around the area, some wallowing in the mud hole somewhat far away from him, and some dozing off. As he thought of it, there was not much of a distinction between the boars here and the boars in real life. Their habits were the same, and so was their mannerisms, and, when their appearance was added to the mix, it would seem as if when the boars were released into their world, no one would distinguish between them.
He then counted the boars which were in the clearing, and he counted out nineteen Young Pittered Boars: eleven of them at Level 1, five of them at Level 2, two of them at Level 3, and one at Level 4. When he looked at the situation, it seemed that he could take all of them at once, if he knew how to put his plan into action. He then drew the wand and the grimoire from his bandolier, and got ready to attack. He again pointed his wand on himself, and said the name of the spell that he would use to manageably control the crowd that would be charging at him.
"Serpent Bolt!"
