Hyoka stared at the request flyer he had received from one of the People of the Land. Shipments were being interrupted because of some aggressive boars were attacking the cargo. Eliminate five boars per person. Currently there were two people registered for this request, himself and one other who was due to meet up with him soon. The meeting time had been set up by the client, so it was a reliable time. While waiting, he had absolutely nothing to do so he leaned against the gate. He needed the reward from this quest in order to get some better gear for his skeleton who he had named Bones. A bonus would be some materials to help advance his tailoring skills. In real life, or at least in other games, boars would give materials of leather which could be turned into soft or hard leather. These would require a needle, so supposedly a Tailor works on them. But this was a different game, different world so for all he knows, his knowledge may not apply. He has at least found out that the base materials he can use to start with is cheap silk, cheap thread and cheap fabric.

He had done some sewing in real life, mainly in school, so he knew the basics of how to use a needle and thread. Though the most he remembers is how to thread a needle and sew a button back on to something, as well as some patchwork stitching to fix something. Pulling his thoughts away from crafting, he thought on the current quest. If he approaches a boar first and befriends it, he could get its help to attack other boars. Though, the idea of pitting two creatures of the same type against each other seemed a bit inhumane. Elder Tales is now realistic, nothing compared to other games. He would have to find a replacement monster to scout first before heading off. Maybe some slimes, if he can get more than one to follow him. He had yet to see the person accompanying him and what skills he had. Looking at the bottom of the request flyer, he noticed something else. "Extra boars eliminated will be much appreciated." Whether or not there is a reward for it is unknown, but if only for the favor of the People of the Land, it would be worthwhile to do. How much longer did he had to wait? Hyoka's eyes were again covered by his fringe which only just reached below his eyes when his head was tilted downwards, hiding his piercing blue eyes that contrasted his black, unkempt hair. His posture was straight considering he was leaning on something and it made him appear somewhat tall. Sort of like an illusion.

Ivan walked towards the gate looking for his partner. He had recently accepted a request from the People of the Land to help get their shipments back on track by killing five boars, he was also partnered with the only other person who agreed to the quest. Ivan looked at the flyer again to go over the details.

"Five boars apiece? Doesn't sound too difficult." He said to himself. Looking further he saw the last part. "More boars appreciated, hm? Maybe if I get enough they'll drop some bacon."

His mouth salivated at the thought of some bacon. He hadn't had any since he came to this world. Not that it mattered much considering the fact that everything tasted the same. As he drew near the mysterious gate Ivan saw a man with black hair leaning against it.

'This must be the guy I'm supposed to meet.' The Fox Tail thought as moved towards the man.

As Ivan moved towards the man he noticed he was a human and had blue eyes.

"Hi ya!" Ivan said as he reached the man. "You must be the man that I'm doin' the boar quest with. Nice to meet you. My name's Pureblade but you can call me Pure, or Ivan." Ivan finished with a smile.

｢Hyoka. Let's get going. We've got our work cut out for us.｣ Saying that, Hyoka's eyes were still covered by his fringe as he began walking outside of the gate, heading towards the fields where the boars would be. Looking around as he went out there, he looked for a slime or something which would help him out. After a few more moments traveling, he found a slime nearby and approached it. Failing at his scouting, he moved on to the next one, and the next, until the fourth one finally decided to come along with him. Waiting around for Pureblade to do the same (if he was an animal trainer), Hyoka moved on to find some boars. The request never specified where so for now he was just going along the roads and looking for boars nearby. It didn't take very long afterwards until he found some.

Since Hyoka wasn't much of the talking type, he silently manipulated his HUD and sent a party request to Pureblade, noticing that he had forgotten to do so. This would make it easier to keep track of each other. With that done and out of the way, Hyoka approached the first boar he saw. Seeing as they were both summoners, they should be able to take on a level one alone, but higher level boars they would probably have to work together. Summoning his Skeleton, Bones, he pulled out his grimoire and got started. Directing Bones to the enemy to serve as the position of Tank, Hyoka stayed back and to the side where he could get a clear shot in using his grimoire's spell shot. After about twenty seconds, he had taken down half of the boars health. It seemed he was at least capable of doing this much, though he wasn't sure how much he could take down of a level 5 boar if he encountered one. His skeleton would probably get smashed. After some more time had passed, his first boar was down. Checking he had avoided aggro'ing the nearby monsters, he confirmed he was safe before looking over at Pureblade to check his progress.

"Yes sir, Mr. Hyoka." Ivan said with a smile and salute as he followed Hyoka to the fields.

As they walked Ivan noticed the human was looking for something. The Fox Tail was curious as to what that was until Hyoka approached a slime. Ivan then realized that he was using the Scout skill. After seeing Hyoka's third failure he decided to take a crack at it himself.

On his third attempt Ivan managed to get a slime to come along with him.

"Haha, I got-" The boy said before he realized that Hyoka had up and gone as soon as he had gotten his slime and gone to find the boars. "Hey wait up!" He yelled as he ran after the human.

By the time he caught up with Hyoka, he had sent a party invite, which Ivan readily accepted, and killed his first boar.

"Man you're fast!" Ivan exclaimed as he tried to catch his breath.

Once his breath had returned Ivan gave a smirk.

"Now it's my turn."

With that he summoned forth his own skeleton. The ground bubbled up until it took the shape of a skeleton.

"Hey Keith!" The Fox Tail said to the skeleton with a wave.

Surprisingly enough Keith waved back.

"Can you do me favor and take out that boar over there, buddy?" Ivan said pointing at a nearby boar.

After seeing the threat the skeleton turned back and nodded. Then he charged forth with his sword and shield at the ready.

"You go get 'em to." He said to the slime.

After about 30 seconds the boar was down to half health and after a full minute the beast was dead.

"Woo hoo! Good job guys!" Ivan cheered on his companions.

[Hyōka]

Nothing is left at the end of the unchained me Watching how Pureblade fought, Hyoka nodded to himself as he found his next boar and wordlessly directed Bones at it. Looking at the slime next to him, he double checked its level to check how long it was last in combat. Figuring it was enough, he found a second young pittered boar at level one and sent it out to attack. He knew his skeleton would be alright by itself, maybe having a chunk of its HP taken out, but still durable enough for another battle. Focusing on the battle with the slime's boar, Hyoka readied his grimoire in his left hand and held his right palm towards the boar, firing off a spell shot. At the same time, the slime surrounded the legs of the boar, slowing its movement as it climbed up the body partway, starting to cause damage over time. It was simple enough to shake a slime off by charging off, but with Hyoka's constant spell shots, it was difficult for it to run at all since each shot caused it to stop. It fell in about half a minute, and right in front of Hyoka who stood there the entire time. Back over with his skeleton, it had cut up its boar to half life by now, dodging charges by sidestepping sloppily, reducing the damage sustained since it wasn't in the direct path of a charge. Attacking the sides, Bones wore the boar down while it was in close range, resorting to holding his shield up when the boar gained distance and began charging. Including the damage from the previous boar, Bone's health was down to about 40%. The boar still had about 20% left. Starting to support, Hyoka began using spell shots to force it to slow down its charging while his slime slithered closer. Taking a charge head on, Bones held the boar in place and began stabbing away at it while the slime attached to the side of the boar, corroding it, and Hyoka hammered the other side with spell shots. Within seconds, the health bar of the boar was reduced to zero and it vanished with a particle light effect. Three down, two to go. It'd be useless to pick up the scattered petals
