[attr="class","ws"] [attr="class","h"]DECICODE [attr="class","fc"] [attr="class","bi"]REAL NAME: Jeremiah Black [attr="class","bi2"]REAL GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]GENDER: Male [attr="class","bi2"]AGE: 22 [attr="class","bi2"]SEXUALITY: Bisexual [attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: Harken, FIRE EMBLEM [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: M [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"] "The man looks like an angel sent down from heaven, just to let us mere mortals bask in the glory of his visage so that we may worship his beauty..." This is a direct quote from a modeling agency that Jeremiah has applied to in the real world, just before venturing into Log Horizon and becoming stuck in this world for possibly the rest of his life. Jeremiah is an incredibly vain man, making appearance a top priority for him, and every aspect of his being seems to revolve around making himself more beautiful each day. Jeremiah stands at an even 6 feet tall, and thanks to his dedicated exercise routine and perfect combination of genetics, his body has remained at 213 pounds of muscle with less than 2% body fat. His skin is tanned lightly, just enough to give him that outdoorsy look and has been magnificently toned, his muscles standing out above and beyond the average man, and his skin is blemish free thanks to a grueling skin care regiment. A head of glorious golden mane is styled perfectly, not a hair out of place, kept short and neat, trimmed almost as neatly as his eyebrows. Not a trace of hair is found elsewhere on his body, as he finds having body hair distracts from his exquisite features. A pair of bright blue eyes draw the attention of all who gaze upon him, trapping them in their sapphire pools of dreaminess. Barring clothes, he has been able to perfectly transfer his own angelic appearance over into the game world, and he wouldn't dream of changing even a single bit of his Adonis like body that took years to get this devastatingly alluring. While in the real world, Jeremiah had always worn the look of a modern, upper class casual outfit, he was obviously forced to change for the game, and while the dashing knight is nice, he does miss the old style. Jeremiah used to start his outfits with high quality dress shirts, button-up style, with long sleeves that he usually just rolled up anyways. He kept the top 2 buttons of his shirt undone to give onlookers a glimpse of his dreamy chest, just enough to draw their attention to his cross necklace, made out of expertly crafted obsidian. He demanded that material be used. His shirt was kept tucked into the top of his custom fitted black leather pants, flared at the bottom to allow his white, pointed toed boots to fit up under them without trouble. These, also custom made, boots had steel heels for added style. A black, Italian leather belt is slid through the loops, and on the front of said belt is a chrome, skull belt buckle, because skulls are so back in this season. These custom made, and highly expensive, clothes had to be discarded for the game however, as they wouldn't qualify as armor. His own heavy plate armor is worn over a simple white shirt and brown pants, the typical villager ensemble he always assumed. Jeremiah despises the clothes for their lack of style, however, firmly believes that he can make anything look good. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Suave and sophisticated, Jeremiah gives off an aura of confidence and charisma that few can match, helping him hide the darkness inside of him that few realize is there until it is far too late. Jeremiah on the surface seems like a powerful, confident man who could get whatever he wants with the snap of his fingers, and in truth, he could do just that. Thanks to his looks, his knowledge of the human psyche, and his well trained eye for detail, Jeremiah takes pleasure in manipulating people into doing whatever he wants, whether it's giving him what he wants or getting them to turn against their own morals. He loves his power, but gets the biggest thrill from abusing it, using it to destroy his enemies completely and leaving them a broken emotional mess rather than just taking a small act of vengeance. Always better to go big so that there is no question of who came out on top. He thinks nothing of others, always putting himself first, and takes great pride in everything he does, and everything he is, thinking of himself more as a god than a simple mortal like everyone else. Jeremiah enjoys having large groups of people around him, although he doesn't like them individually, he loves making it look like he has a lot of close personal friends, learning everything he can about the people he meets and keeping the useful ones close. Not one to entertain the thought of denying the people of his magnificence, he has never been in a relationship, believing that love is a pointless emotion, and to waste his glory on just one person would be an slight against humanity. He has however had a few people that he grew a bit fond for, but they became nothing more than favored pets as opposed to significant others, often pushing them out of his life when they ended up being too much trouble. He is always looking to bring people close to him in this world however, and keeping them completely devoted has become his main goal. A lover of the art of war, Jeremiah sees fighting and conflict between people a natural necessity for the human race to grow and adapt as a whole. Although he cares not for other people, and that line of thinking has mostly been used as a way to influence easily impressionable people into doing what he wants. He does however enjoy causing conflict for his own entertainment, and finds the way of peace between players a boring way to play the game. All of this is still a game for him, and since people don't die when their HP drops to 0, he finds no problem with Player Killing, often taking part in such things himself and convincing others to perform such acts as well. He isn't changing his ways any time soon, and at the moment, there's nothing stopping him from doing what he wants, when he wants to whoever he wants. While he enjoys being subtle in the ways he works, Jeremiah has a few problems controlling his emotions, and can be caught in taunts easily due to his large amount of pride in himself. Anger is the quickest of his reactions, and he often has to bite back the anger in his voice when trying to win over the more perceptive of his targets, and has occasionally been unable to hold back. He is also highly greedy, eyes flashing with excitement when something shiny catches his eyes, another thing he tries to hide to avoid tipping off the people around him. The second hardest emotion he is forced to contain when it comes to other people is lust, failing to avert his eyes when it comes to something he sees passing by marking what he wants, and what he wants he gets. Obviously, he holds grudges against those who he feels have wounded his ego in some way, and stops at nothing to break his enemies down until they kneel at his feet and beg for forgiveness. There is no mercy. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Despite what many would think, the life of Jeremiah Black did not start out as fabulously as it is now, and is something that he always hid from the public when he was still able to be in the real world. Mikhail Black and his wife Lucca had never known what it was like to live a comfortable life. Since the first days of their young marriage, forged out of the necessity of avoiding public ridicule, they struggled for the money to support their young child, conceived out of wedlock. The young Jeremiah had always shown great potential in a great deal of things, being smart, athletic, and a pretty handsome person, he was incredibly popular around his home. The child, however, was not happy about his current situation, or the fact that he came from such low breeding as his parents. Though they rained love upon him, the boy shunned them, leaving home at an early age to set out on his own. Being only 16, it was a surprising turn of events when he was approached early on about being a model. Idiots who got paid to look good, he had a very low opinion of the profession, however, he also had a great deal of money to look forward to, and even more enticing for the man, an outlet for the many vices that he wished to explore. The next few years, he had grown up to be the manipulative, selfish, greedy little thing that he is today, and ended up making many connections with some very important people, using his influence and charisma to raise high up in the world of not only in the celebrity side of things, but the political as well. The last job he ended up taking was that of a spokesperson for a new, highly popular video game. He was required to have a character on the game in his contract, and didn't care too much about the game itself at the time. Elder Tale was a far too generic name for a fantasy video game to Jeremiah to be interesting. Now stranded in the world of Elder Tale, he has been forced to try and make the best of the new situation, and while it was fun to be on the top in the real world, Jeremiah looks forward to rebuilding his empire from the ground up. After all, for a master of manipulation like him, how hard could it be to influence the minds of people already already broken by the new reality around them? For every blow that the target lands on the guardian, a small amount will be nullified. This defense is made all the more apparent when it comes to weak multiple-strike attacks. The Guardian's MP is slowly sapped as this skill remains active. [attr="class","skill"]TRANSMUTATION: Alchemists are able to use Magitech in battle without any penalties based on their main class. Also a toggle skill. Through their abilities in creating efficient Magitech, all costs for using Magitech are halved for the Alchemist. Their research also give them an advantage in fighting Artificial Life and deal an additional 10% damage. [attr="class","skill"]ALLURE: A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation.
