ddendyl cleric lvl 1 | farmer lvl 1 | chef lvl 1
With his cold, metallic blade in his right hand and his bruised great iron shield in his left, Ddendyl hurried his way through the wild fields of the Windsor Greatwoods. The youthful cleric was on his way to the edge of the forest, hoping to look and find any kinds of wild ingredients he could get. It was so he could gain experience from them for his crafting class of a chef. His skills as a chef were what you could consider a work in-progress. He found out that cooking was therapeutic when he entered the world of Elder Tales, but he never imagined that he would have been one to use it as a comfort or source of enjoyment. Silently and alone, the charcoal haired healer found himself along the split of a dirt path, hoping to have found the road leading to the spot on the forest edge that he wanted, but instead he found a fork in the road. Taking a moment to himself he returned his beginner's blade into his belted scabbard and glanced up at the sky. With a deep breath and smile he whispered, "At least I can spend time in this nice weather."His train of thought was interrupted by sounds of grunts and snorts, coming from the right side of his body. There along the one side of the path were bushes and thickets, creating a sense of unease as Ddendyl couldn't tell what was behind them. Taking a step onto the road he swiftly pivoted his body with his right hand back on to the hilt of his sheathed sword. Thinking of the worst scenario possible was a beginner's move and Ddendyl should have learned that by now, but you could never tell what was a monster or another player. He was in the Windsor Greatwoods though, so the most likely source of the snorts and grunts were probably from the Pittered Boars, but then again he knew better than to not be prepared. The boars were known to chase like bulls, especially the full grown ones once they were agitated. Pulling out the blade from his scabbard he stood in a defensive position with his shield covering his body and rose his sword up high in the air as he started a chant. His blade began glowing with an orange hue as he finished his chant. The thin, orange aura also began taking the shape of Ddendyl's body as he finished, creating a flashy, bright silhouette around the cleric. "Sometimes I do regret not picking another class," he muttered jokingly to himself, pointing his sword towards the bushes, "No damage output."word count: 440 | notes: skill used was Reactive Heal. ddendyl cleric lvl 1 | farmer lvl 1 | chef lvl 1 It happened in a matter of mere seconds as two youthful Pittered Boars lunged at the cleric from behind the bushes. They were eating when the healer interrupted their peaceful and quiet snack with his presence. He retracted his sword as he rose his shield, taking the first headbutt with ease. It wasn't until the second one struck right after that he was now a little worried. Taking the damage meant that his spell was in effect as Ddendyl began feeling his health come back from the two tackles of the boars. As each boar tackled him and bounced off his shield they tumbled back and began charging yet again. With them charging in their little fit he had to use it as his chance to strike back, but it would have to be one at a time. Once again Ddendyl took the first hit, bouncing the first boar off his shield. For the second youthful boar he lunged at it himself, swinging his blade confidently striking the boar with ease. It was still young and growing, so taking a strike from the blade hurt it immensely. It squealed and rolled away a few feet before stomping on the ground in anger. The first boar, being untouched, rounded another tackle catching the healer off-guard as he was still having a one-on-one with the second boar. Falling to the ground he grunted as he rolled and threw himself back up to his feet. "If only Alec were here, I was supposed to be his back-up, not fighting on my own." Straightening his posture he rose his shield and banged his blade to it, beginning another chant. His cooldown was over, but he was down a bit more health than he would have liked to be. With an orange aura glowing around him he charged the two boars this time, roaring unlike usual clerics. He needed to get stronger in every possible way, this meant getting through the boars alone. "I got this!" He shouted, pivoting to dodge the first boars tackle. With his back turned he took a full three-sixty swing at the already injured second boar. It struck the boar downwards, slamming it to the ground. Being a class that wasn't as well suited for swordplay, Ddendyl struck the downed Pittered Boar a few more times before turning his attention to the first, untouched boar. "Come on!" Ddendyl taunted, banging his sword and shield together. word count: 405 | notes: fighting two level 1 young pittered boars "obsessed by a fairy tale, we spend our lives searching for a magic door and a lost kingdom of peace." ~

ddendyl cleric lvl 1 | farmer lvl 1 | chef lvl 1 Falling to the ground from the boar's enraged tackle began the cleric's spell. He was regaining health and energy back as he lifted to his feet. Taking a deep breath he got into a defensive stance as the boar came charging again. Meeting the wild pig with his shield Ddendyl sent it flying into the air, rolling away from the healer. It was young and had a lot of energy to spare, along with the fact that the shield bash was almost no-damaging it rolled up and was on it's feet again preparing for another go-around. The second time around Ddendyl was a little more strategic with his move. As the boar met the shield yet again, Ddendyl knocked it back, lifting it up into the air and striking it twice as swiftly as he could causing two gashes in the boar's stomach. A roar escaped the healers mouth as the wild pig squealed, thumping, and landing on to the ground. It rose to its feet staggeringly and exhausted, equally as exhausted as Ddendyl as he was gasping for air. "It's you or me," Ddendyl heavily said. The young Pittered Boar squealed and roared at the healer, knowing full well the only options left. Banging the ground with his feet and shaking his head wildly the boar taunted the human, giving him the chance to be on the offensive rather than the defensive. With a confident battle cry Ddendyl lunged forward, pulling his blade to the side, and his shield out front. The cleric grunted as the boar and his shield made contact, sliding back a few feet from the impact of the youthful boar. Ddendyl had no idea where the boar got it's energy back from, but it hurt some more than expected. As he was pushed back from the unexpected force of the wild pig his left arm and shield swung away, leaving a big opening for it to charge and hit again. "No!" Ddendyl shouted, bringing his iron sword down, slashing the boar in the face. With another quick motion the healer brought his blade upwards, hitting the pig and landing a double cut combination on it, much to his surprise. The young Pittered Boar squealed and flew a few feet away, with Ddendyl coming out as the victor. "That was... a lot harder than I thought." The black haired cleric gasped, taking in as much air as possible. He was proud of the fact that he handled it alone, but it was just two young Pittered Boars, if the monsters behind the bush would have been something else he would have been in even bigger trouble as he already had a rough time with the two young, wild pigs. word count: 453 | notes: defeated both boars; self-confidence and self-reliance boost!
