Hiro took a step off the boat, gleefully. He hadn't been to an island of any sort for such a long time! He couldn't actually remember when the last time his family had gone to an island, outside of the mainland of England. He took a few more steps off the pier, and walked over towards the sand. The beach was beautifully lit by the midday sun, and there were a large flock of birds up ahead just a little ways. They were to be his targets for today's mission. However, he would get to that later. He hadn't been to the beach in just as long a time as the last time he had been to an island. Actually, it was probably when he went to the island that he was last at a beach. He could only imagine that it was when he was rather young still, at least 10 years old. Now that he's 18, he had been cramped inside the Blackbourne Family Mansion, which he was only ever permitted to leave every so often for school and other things. He would sneak out from time to time, but he never told his parents about that.
There was a small lake behind their house, of course, that he and his friends had made a small boat and sailed into, followed shortly after a stern talking-to by his parents and other guardians in the estate. So, he figured that it kind of counted as a beach? Just no sand. There wasn't any sand on the perimeter of the lake, which bothered him well enough. But, ever since he had made that small raft with Renai a while back, he knew that there would be greater means of travelling in the coming days. He still needed to get to work on that Hot Air Balloon, and not just waste time like he had been doing so for a long time now! So many things to do, yet so much time to do it all. It could make a guy forget that he had things to do, anyways. Aside from the Mayahuel fight not too long ago, he hadn't done much else of importance. Well, up until now. But this trip wasn't just for the sake of going to the beach. No, he had a mission to do here as well.
Hiro was to meet up with somebody here, who went by the name Obelisk, to clear out some of the bird population nearby. The locals had been complaining about the unnecessary amount of winged bastards in the air recently, and needed somebody to clear it out. While the mission was made for two, and was probably directed at lower-leveled people, Hiro couldn't resist the opportunity to come out to the oceanic island of Grain. So, on his way to the rendezvous site, Hiro found a nice place on the sand, and flopped onto his back, and decided to wait for the other person to come along. While it was still rather mild of a day, Hiro figured it would be a bad idea to wear his new clothes that Kumori had crafted for him out in the open. So, he came without armor, and just brought along his usual clothes. Black pants and shoes, blue dress shirt, with the top few buttons undone, to give his body room to breathe. Staying in the sun for an extended period of time was probably going to heat him up a bit, so he needed to try and stay cool. All Hiro had to do now was to wait for his soon-to-be-partner to show up, and they could begin.

Ever since the encounter with the two "jolts", Damian began to sieve through the quest hub list at the main board and their participants aswell, it would seem that the first batch was just a bunch of nobodies to be frank and didn't really need to be spoken about, but one name stood out and emit through the names; it was the user Hirosame which if Damian remembered a while ago he was said to be one of the leaders of quite a big guild that for some reason Damian cannot remember the name to, well, besides the awkward loss of the enchanters memories; Damian just accepted the job and sent a message to the monk, "it would be a good experience to fight with someone like you, i'll be seeing you on the isle of grain tomorrow" was the message Damian sent. It wasn't long until the Damian reached the isle of Grain on the day of the quest meet, it wasn't even half a days trip as he thought it would be and the enchanter thought it would be good to visit some place that was relatively quiet and tranquil-ish in the once killers mind; as Damian was looking at the sea and couldn't find peace at all through his mind, why does he have to be stuck in this mess of all things? what is the purpose or even the reason of this apocalypse? is this the work of fate or some other monstrosity that has beset us all? is this a trial? what is it's conditions? how do you complete this game? is it even or should it even be called a game any more? WHY DOES THIS WORLD EVEN EXIST!?!? Many questions fell on Obelisk that had nearly made his head ache, this is no time to think of such things, right now is to find the famous monk that he was supposed to be paired up with...... Huh? wait.....is that? it is by the look of the boy's username, Damian has found the monk in just about no less than a minute it would seem and by the look of it he is very much asleep, Damian lay down beside the monk and asked him "is it really that nice to lay like this on the ground?", Obelisk just looked at the monk and flicked his nose ever so gently in an attempt to wake him up.

Upon feeling the lightest flick on his nose, interrupting his quiet napping, Hiro slowly opened his eyes to find a black-haired guy laying on the sand next to him. There wasn't much of any emotion in this person's face, but Hiro had been alive long enough to know the signs of somebody who may prefer the same gender as their own in the way of significant others. Eyes popping wide, Hiro leaped up, and performed a backhand spring away from the male, all the while letting out a shriek of fear. Landing perfectly, as he had done so many times before, Hiro put his arms up in a stance of battle that he was far too familiar with. Upon closer and quicker inspection, Hiro noticed that this person was the one who he needed to wait on. He relaxed his stance a bit, but still kept his guard up. He wasn't sure whether or not this guy was actually swinging that way, as Hiro didn't. He wasn't sure, but he decided to keep his guard up. After assessing the situation and how far away from the male that he was, he lowered his guard.
"So, you're Obelisk, yes?" He said, calmly, or at least feigning calmness. He looked at the man for a little while longer, before returning to a more neutral state of his face. Beforehand, one could see the sweat on his forehead for a little while. Sure it was getting warmer out as the sun started to beam down on them more, but it was still not quite hot enough to the point of being uncomfortable. In any case, he just wanted to introduce himself to this person, and move on with the quest. It wouldn't be too difficult of a quest, of course, since Hiro was many, many levels above the requirements for the mission. As for this Obelisk person, he wasn't sure whether or not this guy could even handle a few of these guys. All that aside, Hiro continued. "Pleased to meet you, my name is Hirosame. But, please call me Hiro." Hiro threw a smile at him, reluctantly. Either way, perhaps they could get through this all without much of a problem.
This guy was an Enchanter, from what the quest details said, but he had no idea what his skills were. Maybe he had something to combat these seagulls? He wasn't sure of that either, but if anything, Hiro could probably kill these with ease. But, this was supposed to be a group quest, so he'd let the other person do their work as well. Might as well have everybody pull their own share, right? Whatever, he'd worry about that later. He looked around, assessing the situation a bit. The seagulls are nearby enough to the point where Hiro can leap on over without much work, and just end them easily. But, instead of that, he figured that he'd wait for his ally to make the first move. Giving a less reluctant smile, Hiro turned to the man. "After you, my good man." Taking a moment to let the man go by him, Hiro started to walk behind, following him. Perhaps he jumped the gun with this guy a bit early, or perhaps he assessed him perfectly. There's only a little time left before he finds out whether he was actually right or wrong.

Well the reaction was expected, although Damian thought the monk would blush a bit more in the event of seeing a very calm yet bored man next to him and flicked his nose as he was sleeping but in the end that was a wonderful reaction, loved the shriek as it was a nice touch as well which nearly made the enchanter laugh his mask off as he saw the aftermath of that small yet lively event; the sweat from the heat made the monk's skin almost shine, it revealed of either two things: one, Hiro doesn't take showers or bath's regularly and two, he must be hot-blooded in some way; as Hiro was asking the most pointless question Damian has ever heard since the question about his taste in rock bands, his own username, did Damian have to introduce himself every time? well he had to but it would not feel right to just answer every question strangers give him so in the end Obelisk decided to answer in a nod as Damian was looking at Hirosame's necklace of his guild crest, or what seems to be his guild anyway but that doesn't matter at this time of day. Damian leans up but doesn't move as he was looking at the sea yet again, thinking while he was keeping in mind on what the monk's introduction was like, short and punchy, just of how a straight-headed person like Damian liked; Damian could give a rough thought on what the monk's thinking: "the quest was going to be relatively easy if it was just me because of the level requirements but i'm concerned if Obelisk can handle even a couple of them" is of what the enchanter can only think about if he even tries to think what the monk's thoughts were, is it because of Damian's class? probably, but it isn't going to stop Damian killing a couple of birds today, the smile gave the impression that the class thing was a 25% sure that was it's the true reason. Damian didn't care much of anything any more as the screeching of birds were homing in on there pickings, one was a monk with a kiddy face and a sunny-ish attitude and two was the masked 6 foot man which had a calm yet threatening aura with him as usual; as Hiro said Damian should get the first hit, he was glad that the kid wasn't a stuck up scrub that didn't care about other people's feelings which made Damian knowledgeable on what the monk's guild is like; to be honest Obelisk was quite interested why the monk had even start a guild, it interested him so much that he wanted to look into the guilding system in much more depth, perhaps he can ask the monk when this quest was done? it's a maybe, probably... Damian had a smirk on his face as he got up from the sandy ground and walked past Hiro, "interesting... my name is Damian Blake irl and..." just then the first three seagulls gawking as they three activated the skill <Sky Dive>, the three were flying in three different places: one on the left, one on the right and another dead in-front, Damian took his staff from his back and raised it, the staff glowed in a purple/blue colour in which when the birds were within range, Damian slammed the bottom-end of the staff into the sandy ground; a magic circle appeared on the top halve in which three chains sprung out in quick succession after the other, the skill called <Astral Bind>, this skill shot the three chains and clipped all three of the birds wing or neck which forced them all to miss Damian as he merely swerved to one side. "Back in the deepest parts of the world, earth; my title was called 'The Blind Theorist'" as Obleisk said that as he turned his head towards the monk, the birds were still pinned down by Damian's shackles, "let's finish this quest as a team, i pin the birdies out of the sky while you deliver the finishing blow on them, don't worry about my mana consumption either, Astral Bind is quite a small spell but can can be used in quite effective ways as you can see" Damian smiled. This'll be quite a fun adventure for Damian it would seem.

Hiro had actually no way to respond to the Enchanter before him. He wasn't dumbstruck or dumbfounded, or any variation with the word 'dumb' in it. Perplexed, maybe? He wasn't that sure, to be perfectly honest. Otherwise, this person seemed to be rather chill, and had a calm personality about himself. Yet, the way he moved and spoke gave Hiro the impression that he didn't like to stray too far from the norm of what people considered about him already. While this wasn't necessarily a bad thing, Hiro himself was rather wild and rambunctious, with a positive outlook on mostly everything to follow. He didn't mind working alone, nor did he mind working in a group of people. Hiro just enjoyed the thrill of the mission, or the fun of a conversation, or anything that didn't involve standing around and doing nothing. He loved being active, which basically summed up his personality in a nutshell. Be active, and just have some fun, for crying out loud!
But, this guy, Obelisk, seemed to have no problem disclosing his own name in the real world. Hiro couldn't complain, as his in-game name was the same as his actual name, but most people wouldn't go ahead and think that from the start. It was a bit of a saving grace for the monk to not have people know that his actual name is the same as his in-game name, as it would give people the impression that he isn't very creative, nor intelligent. He had his moments where he could be kinda stupid, but he wasn't actually stupid. That aside, however, the birds started attacking as soon as Obelisk was getting to the middle of his sentence. Wondering if they had suddenly been transported to a video game world based on the Sopranos, Hiro struck a battle position. It wasn't even 2 seconds later that the Seagulls had been shackled to the ground, wiggling and writhing in the sand, trying to get free. It was a little saddening, but the fact that there were so many birds around them made it less impressive on Hiro.
Throwing a confused look to the Enchanter, Hiro raised an eyebrow. This guy certainly fit the description Hiro had assigned him before: Passive, very go-with-the-flow kind of mentality. It definitely reflected in the way he was going to fight, but what else could Hiro do? He was level 45, compared to a level 1. With as many skills and as much statistical advantage as he had over Obelisk, Hiro's fighting style matched his personality: Wild, crazy, and fast-paced. So, to follow up on that, Hiro smirked and leaped into the air. The Seagulls that Obelisk had restrained onto the ground were in a close enough cluster that Hiro could kill all three of them in one move. Arcing himself so that he would be able to perform the skill without trouble, he brought back his fist, and began to charge up one of his favorite monk skills: Tiger Echo Fist. Slamming his fist into the ground caused a small shock-wave to radiate from the central point of the attack, and immediately exterminated the flapping enemies.
Hiro stood back up, and gave a triumphant look to the Enchanter. He wanted to speak up a bit, but he didn't want to be a jerk about it. So, he tactfully chose his words. "Hey, so, I totally agree that we should do a team-kinda-thing, but wrapping them up in chains would be too easy. Why don't we spice it up a bit, and play some Beach Baseball?" He knew that he sounded weird for a moment, but his explanation should make things easier. "The Seagulls don't really have a lot of health, so just hitting them with your staff should do the trick, especially if they are hurled at you at a high velocity. So, my thought is that I can jump up to where these Flying Rats are, throw them at you, and you can decide whether or not to knock them out of the park, or work on your Astral Bondage skills in the meantime." He tried to sound as relaxed and inviting as he could, but putting it all in such common terms might throw the Enchanter off balance a bit. But, it was all a choice. He didn't have to play things Hiro's way, which was totally fine. Life's about the choices you make, in the end.

Hirosame hadn't spoke since Damian put the birds into "custody" and it was quite interesting of what the enchanter was looking at: a unique expression appeared on the monks face at a quite small time frame but the enchanter caught the look he gave him, a confused or perplexed expression arose from the monk, why? either me and Damian are still trying to find out but it would seem that Hirosame was wondering why Obelisk gave off a cold and calm persona when confronted with "danger", well the "danger" has now been in captivity for a little while and the entire situation became a little awkward in the enchanter's perspective. Damian thought he could make a conversation topic as he was just standing there with his smile that had now gone sour because of his thinking as always; Damian has to admit though, why did the enchanter had started revealing his "real life name" for? well the reason was that to be frank, Damian couldn't even recollect on what his real name was so he just found a guy in the yellow book then stole his name and identity with it in the coming years when the enchanter got into his teenager's phase; it wasn't much, just kill the guy who you want to steal the identity from and impersonate on what his real life attitude would be like; if the guy was a truck driver, then give him a more perceptive mind towards driving then a bank consultant, little things do stack up when impersonating someone and it does help to take out the entire family if needed be but Damian has already left that type of past behind him and would only look at it in a safe distance if he wanted to look though ultimately the enchanter wanted to forget the time he spent in that lab that felt so foreign yet so full of deep meaning that made the enchanter when he was a child love for some awkward and weird reason or another. the past was behind Damian and he intends to keep it that way for now, the sudden thought of the guild crest the monk was wearing came to mind as he looked at it again, he attire of the kid was still not "battle ready" or was it vanity items? who knows to be honest and frankly Damian didn't care about the attire but the accessories the kid had on were intriguing enough to catch his attention: the other necklace the monk has worn, it had a the symbol of the monk class and had a shorter thread then the guild emblem necklace, just then Damian spent a while just staring at the necklaces the monk worn in a usual and calm fashion while having a empty and cold face. The silence that emitted had quickly evaporated when the monk broke the silence by his fist which made the enchanter jump and yelp in a girlish voice, Damian has practised with trying to imitate a girls voice before so it was almost like a reflex, after the triumphed look was shown from the monk he asked an idea, some beach baseball eh? to be honest it sounded quite strange the way he explained it at first but to be honest it sounded quite fun after the thought of using a bird as a ball and making a home-run with it as well; "sounds good, but do want to draw in alot more enemies at the moment? there seems to be not alot of birds right now, probably because of your level had scared them off? probably, knowing the A.I. of them that's for sure" Obelisk had a smirk on his face as the birds began to scatter from the current location from the beach, Damian's crimson eyes glowed out of the very small eye-holes of the mask the enchanter were wearing as he adjusted them yet again.

Making note of the Enchanter's comment about the lack of flying rats around them, Hiro began to ponder for just a moment. Yeah, that was true: The birds had all pretty much fled the scene after Hiro had executed their friends, which is a common thing, as Hiro thought about it. When one is nearby the death of another, the likely reaction is to run away, with the hope of surviving so that you don't end up the same way. However, that meant that the birds had some different AI than the monsters back on the mainland. Usually, if a monster was killed in a group of their kind, the rest of them would go after the killer. But the fact that they all fled almost immediately meant that something else was going on here, aside from the normal AI ideology of the monsters. This stopped bothering Hiro, when he remembered that he had an ability to draw aggro to himself, that had an increasing range depending on how high up he went.
He looked to the other person nearby him, before giving a brief nod. Hiro started to chase after the birds, barely keeping up with them in the long run. He knew that he probably wouldn't catch up to them fully, but it would still serve to his benefit to be closer to them than where he and Obelisk stood beforehand. Hiro kept managing to keep his speed up, thanks to his natural abilities as a Monk, as well as the levels he had put into the system by now. Although, he had to wonder how and why someone who had been stuck here, as long as Hiro has, is still only level 1? That didn't make much sense to him, as you would've needed to level up at least a little bit by now, otherwise one wouldn't have been able to get by without the money from quests or whatever else. Perhaps this person had an alternative means of gaining money? Maybe he was a killer, who only prayed on lower-leveled players, such as himself, and took their money and items when they died?
He ignored the thought after that point, and just focused on his mission. Well, somewhat of a mission. He was going to jump in the air, get the attention of the birds, and then throw them at a level 1 in the hopes of playing Baseball with him. What was he doing with his life? Obviously, some pretty fun and entertaining stuff. Maybe he'd get to have some extra fun in throwing some different pitches! Whatever, he'll get to how and why he throws the way he throws in a minute. For now, he leaped into the air, using Wyvern Kick to give him a large boost in aerial height, which was very swiftly followed by a powerful Aura Kick that landed on the ground, and a visual reverberation was displayed on the ground. Luckily enough, it encompassed a large number of the birds, which would most certainly fit the mission description in what they needed to kill. With the bird sharply flocking towards him. Leaping into the air, Hiro grabbed a bird, and proceeded to throw it over at the Enchanter. "Hey! Curve ball, heading your way! Get ready!" He shouted, releasing the bird-ball at his partner. There were no strikes. No Singles, Doubles, Triples, or Ball's. Just Home Runs. Batter up.
