Hiro took a step off the boat, gleefully. He hadn't been to an island of any sort for such a long time! He couldn't actually remember when the last time his family had gone to an island, outside of the mainland of England. He took a few more steps off the pier, and walked over towards the sand. The beach was beautifully lit by the midday sun, and there were a large flock of birds up ahead just a little ways. They were to be his targets for today's mission. However, he would get to that later. He hadn't been to the beach in just as long a time as the last time he had been to an island. Actually, it was probably when he went to the island that he was last at a beach. He could only imagine that it was when he was rather young still, at least 10 years old. Now that he's 18, he had been cramped inside the Blackbourne Family Mansion, which he was only ever permitted to leave every so often for school and other things. He would sneak out from time to time, but he never told his parents about that.
There was a small lake behind their house, of course, that he and his friends had made a small boat and sailed into, followed shortly after a stern talking-to by his parents and other guardians in the estate. So, he figured that it kind of counted as a beach? Just no sand. There wasn't any sand on the perimeter of the lake, which bothered him well enough. But, ever since he had made that small raft with Renai a while back, he knew that there would be greater means of travelling in the coming days. He still needed to get to work on that Hot Air Balloon, and not just waste time like he had been doing so for a long time now! So many things to do, yet so much time to do it all. It could make a guy forget that he had things to do, anyways. Aside from the Mayahuel fight not too long ago, he hadn't done much else of importance. Well, up until now. But this trip wasn't just for the sake of going to the beach. No, he had a mission to do here as well.
Hiro was to meet up with somebody here, who went by the name Obelisk, to clear out some of the bird population nearby. The locals had been complaining about the unnecessary amount of winged bastards in the air recently, and needed somebody to clear it out. While the mission was made for two, and was probably directed at lower-leveled people, Hiro couldn't resist the opportunity to come out to the oceanic island of Grain. So, on his way to the rendezvous site, Hiro found a nice place on the sand, and flopped onto his back, and decided to wait for the other person to come along. While it was still rather mild of a day, Hiro figured it would be a bad idea to wear his new clothes that Kumori had crafted for him out in the open. So, he came without armor, and just brought along his usual clothes. Black pants and shoes, blue dress shirt, with the top few buttons undone, to give his body room to breathe. Staying in the sun for an extended period of time was probably going to heat him up a bit, so he needed to try and stay cool. All Hiro had to do now was to wait for his soon-to-be-partner to show up, and they could begin.
