Verin stood out at the front of St. Pancras Station waiting for Osiris to show up so Verin could not only create the wanted items for Osiris, but mentor Osiris in what Verin knew of the subject, all be it very limited even though he was an alchemist. While he waited he decided to look at the recipes again so he could get this right on the first try, the stabilized mana fragment wouldn't take long but the mana powered lamp would. He would have a good amount of supplies left after making the lamp, but he would a small amount of mana fragments after this which could be a problem but maybe not. "Hopefully I can get some ideas out of this in the end," Verin thought. He looked at the time on his display screen and saw it was about ten in the morning and he decided to talk to Osiris using the Telepathy skill. "Hey Osiris where are you, you said you would be here around nine thirty but it's already ten, I'm at the meeting place." As Verin waited he recalled the events from a few days ago when he met Osiris by Verin tripping on his own tail and slamming into Osiris and causing them to fall on the floor. Verin smiled and remembered that was a nice day.

Sleeping up in a tree, Deximus heard a voice wake him up, "Hey Osiris where are you, you said you would be here around nine thirty but it's already ten, I'm at the meeting place."
Oh, crap he forgot about meeting Verin at the station, falling out of the tree he quickly started to make his way in a quick pace over to the desired meeting spot. Deximus had met Verin a few days ago through a group meeting and the part that drew him in was the fact the Sorcerer was an Alchemist. Something Deximus needed and would gladly work in learning what he could for his character. Deximus had to respond to Verin via telepathy, "Sorry, over slept a little I am a couple minutes out."
Continuing on the thought of the desired items he required, a stabilized mana shard, and a mana lamp. The shard would require the right ratio of mana control from an alchemist to effectively create. This was a short process that took some concentration. The lamp however, would require if Deximus could remember correctly two batteries, some copper wires, a switch, and a bulb; with those altogether the only thing from there for the requirement was case for the materials for the lamp.
Seeing Verin not too far away, Deximus yelled, "Hey!!" waving his hand in a friendly greeting.

Verin picked up the noise of Osiris greeting him and he looked at the direction of where Osiris was coming and mimicked him waving his hand in the air and yelled jokingly "Hey you're late!" With this he ran towards Osiris smiling with the supplies in his small beginner bag. Once Verin got to where Osiris was he smiled a little more and then grabbed Osiris's hand and pulled him along, "I bet you haven't been in St. Pancras yet, have ya?" Right after the question Verin and Osiris walked through the opening of the station, but they didn't stop there, they continued a little bit more to the platforms where the trains would have been if they worked in this world. But they were moved out since they didn't. Verin continued to an empty spot where in the shade, in this jungle world it was already ninety-nine degrees outside and barely inside. Verin sat down and took of his bag in the shade and got out the supplies for the lamp. "I'll do the stabilized mana crystal first but I'll have to do it fast before the mana disperses because it will go away fast, so any questions before I start?"

After meeting up with Verin, Deximus was quick to notice that he was being dragged off to a location, only Verin knew. After going through the station and off to a little spot, Deximus noticed Verin wasn't wasting anytime. Deximus was quick to use his copy skill for being an apprentice, while it wouldn't do much at a low level it would allow him to start somewhere compared to not being able to do much. Deximus plan was to record the information from Verin for the concentration process for making Stable Mana Shards, it would be perfect for making other alchemist being able to start from somewhere. Watching carefully Dex could see Verin working hard to fuse the shards together through and even balance, it was from Dex guess that in this new world the process towards making an item requires a little more hands on training then just being from the keyboard hitting or clicking a button. With a sheet of paper, a quill, and some ink Dex was writing down everything he could see with smaller pictures to associate the process in making something so wonderful even if it was considered simple. With the copied skill, Dex was able to see more then just the naked eye could have seen before. Something indeed that was wonderful, "So, Verin I can see a little better what it is your trying to do. Yet, could you explain the process of what it is your trying?" Dex tilted his head, "I am writing this down for a simple manual maybe we can have a collection of all our skills and practices towards mapping out what we can and can't do." Dex saw the bag of the other materials, see what simple supplies Verin had. Thinking, this Mana Lamp would require a slight adjustment but a filament, a couple mana crystals, some old slightly broken lamps is a great start towards making what we need. However he had already thought about it, if they could scrap together enough good materials from the old lamps for one good lamp it would be perfect. Dex was thinking to improve the efficiency of the lamp, they should make the mana fragments into stable fragments; this would insure a greater battery so to speak for a lamp with ample power. The bulb would have to be checked for the coil inside the bulb to make sure it would last. Writing down his thoughts was something, he could show to Verin to see what his thoughts are. Lamp / Lantern Schematic "As you can see, if we can fix up one lantern perfectly and make sure the bulb and little wires are properly attached we need only two stable mana crystals to power the lamp; the only downside is we need to work on making one stable shard negatively charged and one positively charged. With having stable batteries as the term goes. We should in theory make a decent lamp. Oh, I almost forgot the switch on the lantern acts as an off and on switch for the flow of power to the bulb." Deximus was indeed a nerd from science, and a mechanically insane person on wanting to know how everything works. It couldn't have been helped, while he was in the military he was, what was known as an Electronic's Technician; they were in essence and everything technician, from needing to know how everything works, that way it can be working order he had brought that side of him everywhere he went. Hopefully he doesn't go overboard, Verin probably would think Deximus a weirdo or even worse a possible cheater. (I will gladly explain if you need the know-how will make great for creating stuff together)

Verin quickly put his hand in his little bag and grabbed two of the mana fragments he would need for todays work and put one in each hand and then closed his eyes the flow must be balanced or he would get the opposite, an unstable mana core which could disappear faster than a regular mana fragment if you weren't careful. As Verin worked a small glowing circle of mana flowed around his hands and a second one around the mana fragments, he could feel the balance and could tell that it was safe now to concentrate on other things. As if on cue Osiris started asking question on the process that Verin was using and in response Verin showed a slight smile and answered the question. "What I am doing is using my own mana to create a balance point, this balance point can take different shapes, like a triangle or square, but I prefer a circle to keep the mana flowing easily and I put a second circle farther out around where my hands are to catch the mana that disperses while I'm making the stabilized mana fragment so no mana is wasted." When the explanation was done Verin decided to finish the crafting, so he slowly brought the mana fragments together and then he brought in the circles and after waiting a few seconds he completed the crafting and showed the shining stabilized mana fragment and handed it to Osiris, "Here you go."
As he handed the fragment to Osiris, Osiris went on about the lamp and it's mechanics to this Verin laughed and then said, "Man your a mechanism otaku, why didn't you choose to be a mechanic instead of a scribe? Anyways you messing up on one thing and that is the mana fragments count. You need five mana fragments and a stabilized mana fragments is equal to two mana fragments, so you would need two stabilized mana fragments and one regular mana fragment, do you understand this?"

Deximus was excited that Verin had completed one part to the grand plan, after hearing what Verin asked, dex tilted his head.
“I am totally sorry, my mind wonders on other ways to possibly enhance or alternative methods to answering the same issue.” Looking at what he was writing about, “As for the two stable mana fragments and the one not stable mana is perfect. The reason I say this now, we would have power from a stable unit shedding power to the unstable crystal, the unstable crystal couldn’t hold all the mana there for it would shed that power to the other crystal.” Writing down his thoughts, “With the constant need to create a balance in this design, the power would ideal for our purposes, if you have any thoughts on my theory, I am all down to listen, after all it’s part of my job as your apprentice to ask questions and make you help me understand the process, if we just happen to create a new method, well we are just that much better than the rest”. Deximus nodded his head in the thought process he was going about aiming to keep up with what Verin spoke about.
Deximus drew on the his hand two circles, reaching into his pack he took two unstable mana shards out of his inventory and in essence tried to copy the process Verin took towards making a stable shard. Carefully closing his eyes, he tried to envision in his mind the mana shards he had in their respective circles. Slowly feeling the mana of the shards, he started to feel his own mana respond in kind. Aiming to keep the mana slow and steady he was focusing as Verin said, “Create a balance point, this balance point can take different shapes,”
For Deximus he had to agree that a sphere was the best outcome for a design it was pure and could be flawless towards allowing the mana to circulate through the shards. He could feel the shards reacting to the balance point, he could sense in his own mind the desired solution of balance and stability. Just as he pictured Verin doing, he brought his two hands together carefully aiming to maintain the balance and peace he held in his hands.
In a small bright light, Deximus could feel a little warmth; it was a more soothing warmth that was kind and gentle. After feeling the shards as one, he opened his eyes to see in his hands a nice little sphere mana crystal. Smiling, “You definitely are a great person to listen and write about, Verin.”
Carefully holding the shard in one hand, he had to write down the results and feelings from a first person view. This was amazing in his mind, for the other Elder Tale was nothing like this. Looking at Verin, “What now sensei?”

Verin smiled at the results of what he had taught and then remembered a little fun fact and decided to give the bit of info to his student. "There is one more thing I forgot to mention to you and that's speed crafting and I'll show you this now," with this he grabbed two more mana fragments and went to his status menu. Verin then went to the crafting section and then hit the speed crafting section and then hit the stabilized mana fragment and then the crystals vanished and then a stabilized mana fragment appeared in Verin's right hand. "This is speed crafting, it's a function in the crafting section on your display screen. After free making anything you can instantly make it again as long as you have the ingredients, it's handy for crafters." Verin then moved the supplies he set to the side before and then looked at Osiris and then said, "I am going to be taking a while on this and just to let you take in information while I get this working. Also I want to do some research after this and come up with some new things to create and I want to test them out and do some research on the ideas to make sure I'm not ripping anybody off. I would like you to join me in my research." What Verin was saying was true, he had just started getting a mass amount of ideas in his head and showing mistakes is also an important thing to teach people since anything and everything could go wrong in an instant. "Well I'm about to start any last questions before the heavy work starts?"

Seeing Verin, now finished with showing him speed crafting; something he knew but would remain kind in front of Verin. Just from his perspective the environment for this game is unique and more intriguing than before. After collecting the parts he needed, he was now sitting there with paper and quill ready to write down what would be done and discussed for the future events.
Going over in his head everything he just learned is slowly turning out new ideas on the different perspective to creating new gear. He would have to find later on down the road, time to learn from the other teachers for crafting gear and other items including food. If he could write proper books and other manuals for everyone to learn and guide from surely something good will come from this. His own knowledge was spreading, after all not just what they know, their stories will make the material more enjoyable.
Watching Verin, “Nope, please continue I will watch and write this down. If I have questions or thoughts I will share them.”
Dex had already thought about his paper mill he was working on and refining to make proper paper that would hopefully outlast all other forms of regular paper. If he could get the general items for making what he needs then so be it.

After getting the reply from Osiris Verin looked back at the stuff and then placed the three lamps together, he then grabbed the three old lamps and a stabilized mana fragment. He then placed the three old lamps in a triangle formation and then out the stabilized mana fragment in the middle. "There is another part of alchemy and is the first subclass skill you get as an Alchemist called Transmutation. Transmutation gives you bonuses in battle but also allow you to combine items together to a certain extent. The current extent is unknown but we do know when creating an item that only an alchemist can create you mostly use Transmutation." Verin then closes his eyes and makes a balancing point but this time it's a triangle with curved ends a few minutes pass by as Verin slowly but steadily takes the old lamps and stabilized mana fragment, putting them together and creating a new model for the lamp, allowing the next step to take place. "Well one part is down only two more to go and then your order is finished."

Deximus watched Verin, who was doing what he could. Writing down anything Verin said was only returned with a simple head nod. Deximus was writing down little snippet notes next to what Verin was aiming to do. This process was going to take time, and Dex needed to plan out how this was going to work out. Through research and experiments alone, this process will soon become easier and more efficient. However, the part he was thinking about was the catalyst. In the form of alchemy there were normally 3-5 parts in the process, it wasn’t just materials, an alchemist, and the desired item. In this world, the alchemist was the catalyst using energy and stored information and applying it to the materials to help shape the way it was going to redesign the way an object would become. Deximus not only noted everything that was going down, but couldn’t help notice his skills for writing down information and simple schematic drawings for the process. As long as he could keep his mind straight on the thought of information, he was wondering how the learning process would go down. Since this would be the first volume, he had to go through and mark the first page with a title. The title had to be clear and to the point and the only thing that came to mind was Alchemy a London beginner’s guide. After writing that down, he looked at Verin, “How are you holding up?”

Verin sighed and then leaned back, "Damn this is tiring all right, unlike other subclasses Alchemy is perhaps the hardest since it drains you directly of your mana, the others just matter on how much will you have but Alchemy you have to use your mana and your will so you're blocked on how much you can do." Verin looked at the object in front of him and sighed, to think he had two more steps that were as, if not more, tiring than the first step maybe. Verin wanted to sleep but he promised to himself to finish this without going to sleep. "Ok here it goes!" Verin sat straight up and grabbed the old diode, old filament, and mana fragment in a quick draw of the hand. Verin then forms a sphere of mana around his hands and the items started working, he wrapped the diode around the filament and then placed it into the new lamp body. Without wires in the game, other objects had to be used in the case of the Alchemist it was mana fragments. When Verin had wrapped the diode around the filament, he had also fused the mana fragment into the two objects and then when he implanted the two objects he let the mana flow in the lamp body. "There all that's left is to give the lamp it's power source and connect that to the mana inside it."

Seeing and listening to Verin tire himself out, was interesting the skill for completing such a task was demanding. Dex was thinking about after having a good start, he would then need to take the required materials back to his place of refuge and work tiresomely through the night for his future designs and plans for becoming the greatest scribe of them all. He was sure that once he could keep his place lit and warm, the paper mill will be a great success. The paper mill with the ability to see in the dark will allow him to possibly try for some magical paper that is called for by a necromancer. The paper is known as soul paper, imbued with magic and the soul of the creatures that were used in the magical process a magic wielder could not only restore themselves with the energy of another, if used correctly summoning a creature can be done without even using their own mana and spells. The greatest taboo he could think of would involve trying to store his own power into the pages.
His imagination was cut short, for the thoughts and plans he had in place required some of the most basic items for success. He wouldn’t stop until he had attained his goal. Looking at Verin, “Is there anything I could do to help?” Dex pulled out a small water bottle offering it to Verin in the hopes that he might be thirsty for such an event.

Verin took the bottle of water that Osiris had offered and drank the container dry in a few seconds, the moistness was most welcomed and it gave Verin the last bit of willpower to finish the task. Verin grabbed the last stabilized mana fragment and prepared for the last step. Verin brought his hands together and started forming a balance point. After forming the balance point he took the stable mana shard and let it disperse into the lamp and connect the mana from the energy source to the somewhat mana cords from the filament and diode. With this the mana powered lamp was finished and was now capable of being speed crafted. Verin then sighed and let the rest of his body lay on the ground, "God that was tiring, here you go Osiris," with this Verin gave Osiris the mana powered lamp with a smile.

Dex was grateful for Verin, going through the argues process to completing this mana lantern. Hopefully this will be a great forging path allowing for something greater to transpire and shape for the both of them. Dex finished up his notes over the first low level parts to Alchemy. After watching Verin finish the water that was offered, he knew it was time. The final works and touches upon noticing how Verin had taken his skills to the greater limits it was time to respect this man and let them be remembered for their skill and heart. "You have done great work, thanks Verin. I would like to keep you on the friends list and set up a time when we can meet up later and in turn I can hopefully help you plan and decide how to research into greater alchemy."
Dex had opened his HUD and made sure that Verin was added to his friends list, it would be vital to have allies in all places.
With that Dex received the items he had hoped for, this would be the perfect pieces for allowing him to finish his work for other projects. Standing up he collected the papers and notes, looking at Verin, "So yes, the cost. I believe I said I would pay for the full amount."

"It was no problem Osiris and thanks for paying for the crafting costs." Verin's breath was a little weezy and his eyes were drooping, Verin was amazingly tired. Verin couldn't keep his head up so he laid his head down onto the solid concrete that was nice and cool. Verin looked at the wall and followed the lines created by the bricks, going up to the roof and down to the floor several times over in the silence. After some time Verin got up and then pulled up his menu and choose the telepathy option on there and then choose Osiris. "Hey Osiris I want to some research and I want you to help. I want to develop new ways to use mana fragments that would help the public. I know we can't get out now and we probably won't for a while so I want to make this place better for the rest of us. I'm thinking that we could make mana fragments store types of energies and also create a way to catch mana and by adding those two together we could make things run on an unlimited source, so will you help me Osiris?"
