He really wanted to continue with their journey and explore through the forest, where the quest giver had been rumored to be found, but he to agree with her. There simply not enough time now and they weren't in the best condition to keep on traveling. While he was up for more, he couldn't endanger his new friend. Sure, in this world from the rumors he had heard, death wasn't permanent. But even so, he himself wasn't comfortable with the idea. As wasn't certain what were the costs one would have to pay upon death. What if in this world, you pay more than just exp or gold? Just what did they had costed those adventures? At that point, Emmerich stopped himself from thinking further about it. He looked over at the werecat, and noted the held out bag in her clawed fingers. "Alright alright, let's get going back to town." he said, while lifting himself off the grass.
The guardian hoisted up his shield in both hands and tilted it toward her bag. Gold coins slid and rolled off his shield and rained down upon the insides of her bag. He didn't worry about her taking off with the gold. After what they've been through together, he felt she had earned his trust. After all of this contents of gold was out of his shield, in a swift motion he places it on his back. "Since you were MVP for today, I'll reward ya." And with that said, he attempted scoop the cat girl off the ground and place her on his back, inside his shield. "No need to for you walk the rest of the way, I'll take care of that." He turned to the dirt path headed to town.
