Ame walked onto the plains of Windsor Greatwood. She breath in deep, the fresh smell of grass danced in her nostrils and she felt a breeze blow her hair lightly. She closed her eyes for a moment, and stood, enjoying the plains for a moment. Soon, she heard a small snorting sound and opened her eyes. 'Right. This is just a game.' She took another deep breath and let her eyes hit the young pitted boar in the distance. She knew that she couldn't handle anything over a level three, if she could even handle that. She was expecting to find a party, anticipating it actually, though she was still such a low level. 'I wonder if they even have xp share. I really hope so.' She had chosen the class Cleric hoping that there would be a need for them. She was never one for close combat, really, she was never one for combat at all. She had played three different MMO's before, but they had been nothing like this one, and she had played a healing type, or a class that allowed her to raise ally stats, in all three. In one she tried a gaurdian typed character, and though she was decent at it, she supposed she just had a love for healing artes, or magic it was called in Elder Tale.
Soon, she was close enough to the young pitted boar that she was able to bring up it's level. 'Level one, good. I should be able to defeat it quite easily.' She pulled up her interface screen and scrolled to her equipment. She clicked on it and equipped her two handed staff. Her only magic was Reactive Healing, which only allowed her to heal herself. She had chosen it because it would heal with damage, so she could fight the boar knowing that her magic would have her back if she was hit and once she joined a party she could help heal her teammates as well. She went to the skills menu and chose her Reactive Heal, casting it before grabbing onto her staff with both hands. 'I wonder, can I battle without using the interface?' She eyed the boar, who somehow still did not see her. She tightened her grip on the staff and ran towards the boar in a swift manner.
Ame raised her staff above her head and hit the boar in the back. It's HP went down from 100 to 91 and she backed away from the boar. 'Nine hit points? Hmm..' She looked down at her staff and then quickly looked up as the boar charged towards her. She jumped out of the way, but the boar managed to strike her hard in the left leg. She let out a hiss at the boar and got to her feet. Her HP went down by 11 points and she raised her eyebrow. "Are you trying to show me up?" She stared down the boar as her health level rose, her hit points going up by 6 points. "It's a good thing your health can't go up little buddy. You would probably be at full health again." She raised her staff up again and swung at the boars back. "Yes! Direct hit!" She smiled widely as she backed away, but soon her face was serious again as the boar charged. This time she side stepped quickly and was able to dodge the attack. She swung again. The last two hits brought the boar's health to 70. She hit it again, dodging it's charges, and hitting over and over again. Soon the boar was down to 20 Health, and she hadn't been hit once. She felt proud of herself but continued to stay serious.
As a cleric, she knew her attacks weren't going to be that great, but the one boar was taking far too long to kill. She would have to find some others to fight with soon to raise her level faster. She took a deep breath and went to dodge the boar, but she tripped and the boar hit her head on. She lost 22 health, and only 9 came back to her, but she knew that it would be a long while before the boar would be able to really touch her health. She knew that this boar could not kill her, even if he hit her a bunch of more times like that. 'Thank you healing magic, for saving me.' She was definitely happy for the extra health points. Soon she hit the boar for the last couple of times, and it shattered, as in game monsters normally did. She cheered once it was over and looked down at her staff. "A couple more would do me some good, just until my health diminishes a bit more." She nodded and went on in search of another boar, or something else to kill.

After a few moments of searching, Ame spotted another boar in the distance. She crept low and began stalking towards it, hoping to surprise it and catch it off guard. She almost felt bad for the creatures of this world, even though they weren't completely real. This one was minding it's own business, eating the grass and looking like it was in a peaceful state. It was almost as if the monsters had minds of their own. She didn't really want to disturb it, but she needed the AP. She wanted to gain her experience and level up as quick as possible so that she could begin to do other things. She wanted to raise her crafting level, and she still had her role-playing level to do as well, but for that, she would need a teacher. She just didn't know what class she wanted to pick so she figured she would take the class that would be able to allow her to search the varieties of the RP classes and then pick a teacher to teach her of whichever she chose to learn. She was in no hurry, however, because she wanted her actual level, and her crafting level to raise. She wasn't just out here for the experience, she also needed gold. Back in the real world she had been an excellent cook, but she needed materials to begin cooking, something she was still slightly unaware of. She figured that she would need to find a chef to show her how to convert materials into the supplies she needed to cook with, but that was something she shouldn't have been focusing on at that moment.
She tuned herself back into the young pitted boar, seeing that it's movement hadn't changed. She scanned the surrounding area, seeing no other boars in sight. 'This is it, now is the time.' She took in a deep breath, readied herself in a dashing stance, and ran forward, bringing her staff down to the young boars back. His bar dropped by 12 hits! Her highest hit yet. She backed up, letting the boar do it's charging move, and then stepped to the side. It's attack, of course, missed her. She was getting used to it's moves, and found herself able to dodge it with ease. She nodded her head and ran again at it, hitting it again. It's HP went from 88, down to 80. She didn't understand how she did so much, and then her attack just depleted, though she did notice that she hadn't hit it quite as hard as she had when she surprised attacked it. Next hit, she would make sure to full force it. The boar charged again, and missed, but this time, Ame held her staff far back above her head and brought it down with as much strength as she could muster. It hit the boar directly on the back and it's health dropped to 63. "17 Hit Points! Alright!" That had been her best hit yet. Clearly holding back and letting her staff charge a bit allowed for a better it. She did that a few more times, dodging the young pitted boars attack one after the other, and soon had it's health down to seven. She took a deep breath, dodged it's last attack and then hit it hard, over killing the poor beast. The rest of it's bar depleted and the boar shattered, as the first had.
Ame turned, scoping out the area around her. She wondered how it would be to fight two enemies at once, but figured she should allow herself some time to gain a bit more experience. She looked around, spotting yet another lone boar in the distance. She nodded and whispered, "you're next little buddy." Before she went to fight this boar, though, she wanted to try to try using her Reactive Heal without using the interface. She took her staff in both hands and closed her eyes, focusing on a warm feeling that was flowing through her body. She took a deep breath and raised her staff into the air. "Activate: Reactive Heal!" She wasn't sure if it had worked, but she had the feeling that that's how she would activate it. She slowly opened her eyes, and just like before, she saw a soft orange glow, swirling around her. She smiled and hugged her staff, her mind over flowing with joy. "It worked!" She did a small shimmy with her shoulders and then looked in the direction of the young pitted boar. She lowered herself and began stalking this one, as she had done the last. She supposed she was far enough away that the boar had not heard her activating her spell and was thankful for that. As she neared it, she held her staff over her head, held it there for a moment and let it come down forcefully on it's back. Yet another direct hit.
Ame felt as though she was getting really good at battling, she hoped so. She was picking up on the boar's movement's quite quickly, though she supposed it was because she continued to fight them, and had already recognized their attacks, and how to maneuver herself away from them. It was a complete pattern to her. surprise hit, dash away from it's dodge, let staff charge, and hit it as hard as she could. That was her pattern, the one that was working for her, though she was unaware of how it would work with two, or even three boars. She figured she would probably do the same, just have to dodge as many more attacks as there were boars. Soon, she found herself hitting the boar for the last time, watching it's bar hit 0 and yet again, shattering before her eyes. She stood there for a moment, and breathed in, allowing herself some time to relax. Once she felt ready, she scoped the land out again, this time finding not one, but two boars standing it the distance. "I suppose that means that the game thinks I'm ready." She nodded and began to prepare herself. She had not had to use her healing on the last battle, so she knew that she didn't have to cast it again. The cooldown time on it was complete, so if need be, she could cast it again. "Okay, I'm ready, bring it Boars!" She rushed forward, ready to face them.

Ame could see the bars, and the levels of both boars as she smacked the first with her staff. They were both level ones so she knew she wouldn't have a problem defeating them, and if one managed to hit her, she knew her Reactive Heal would bring her health back up instantly. The first boar charged, and she dodged it with ease and then hit the second boar, just to be sure that both beasts would fight her, instead of running away. She dodged the second boar, running for the first again, charging her staff and then bringing it down on the first boars head. This time, both boars charged her, but she managed to dodge both, and then hit the first boar again with her staff. The first boars health was already down to 79, but the second was still at 92. She wanted the fight to be quick, but after the first couple of hits, she knew it would last a while, especially facing two at the same time. She hoped that she wouldn't exhaust herself, but knew that if she did, she would have to go back to town and sleep it off, to be sure she was ready to fight more.
The boars once again charged at the same time, and once again, she dodged both. She wondered how they could be so in sync with one another, but brought her staff down, letting the thought slip away from her mind. With this hit, she managed to smack both at the same time. The first boar took the most damage, bringing it's health down to 69, and the second boars health down to 88. They both charged again, and she managed to hit them both at the same time once again, this time letting the second boar take the most damage, and the first the least. She figured if she kept hitting them like that, they would stay together and continue to rush her together. If that was the case, she would end the fight much sooner than she expected, though after a few more hits, the battle changed and she found herself facing a third boar as well. This one's level was three, and it scared her a bit. Could she really fight a level three when there were still two other level ones. Now, the first boar was at 45 health, the second at 68 and a full health level three that she had to deal with. She figured she would rid of the boar who's health was 45 first, then that would leave her with only two boars, though if she wasn't doing that many hits to the level one, she figured it would take her along time to kill the level three.
Ame ran at the first boar, hitting it head on and dodging it's attack right after. The boar was now down to 19 and she knew that it would be easy to defeat it, but then the second boar ran aafter her, she dodged it, and only managed to dodge the third boar directly after it. She sighed, the first boar that she wanted to kill first was at the back, the second in the middle, and the third directly in front of her. She sighed, not wanting to attack the level three just yet. She ran to the side, hoping to at least strike the second boar, who's health was still at 68, but they all turned to face her, and all three charged her at the same time, she jumped to the side and cried out in pain as the first level one boar ran over her ankle. She looked up at her bar as it went down by 6 points, but then smiled as her health went back up by 12, giving her 88 health to defeat the three. She knew at that moment that she was getting stronger. She got up right away, her ankle felt a little sore, but she manage to strike the first boar twice before all three charged at her once again, bringing it's health to three. She dodged all three boars this time and struck the first again, watching it shatter and then dodging the other two's attack. She knew she had a small period of time for herself and held up her staff. "Activate: Reactive Heal!" She called out and felt warmth rush her body. As she came back from activating her spell, she watched the last two boars rush her, and she just managed to jump out of the way and quickly get back up on her feet.
She focused on the last level one boar as she brought her staff up over her head. She was about to strike when the level three rushed her and landed a direct hit. She cried out again as her health went down by twenty points. Her healing spell kicked in and brought it up again by 12 points. She let out a breath and rushed to dodge the level one's attack. She was now at 80 health and she casted her spell again quickly and waited for the boar's to attack. She dodged them both, bringing her staff above her head and landed a hit on both of the young pitted boars. The level one was her direct hit, only making the level three go down a bit in health. The level one was now at 56 and the level three was only down two hit health, bringing it to 98. She dodged them again and only managed to hit the level one, but she hit it twice, once with a power swing, and then a smaller swing. The first hit took 10 and the second only 6, bringing it's health down to 40. She breathed and dodged the attacks one after the other, and swung at the level one. After a few more times the young boars health was down to nine. She breathed in deep, dodging the boar once more and held the staff over her head. When she brought it down on the boars back, it hit 12 and the young boar shattered as the others had.
She breathed deep, she was beginning to feel tired, but she stared down the level three. "Okay, it's your turn now." She dodged it's first attack, and swung hard at it. Her power attack only brought it down by 6 points, where she was hitting between nine and twelve with the level ones, but no matter, she would continue to fight it no matter what. It ran at her, and she stepped to the side. She brought up her staff and hit it hard again, doing another 6 damage. The boar was down to 86 health, and she felt that she could defeat it. It charged her again, missed again, but this time it turned, and unexpectedly charged her again. Had she expected it, she would have dodged it, but she was getting ready to swing and was hit directly by the boar. It did 22 damage to her, and only 10 came back with her reactive heal. She was now at 68 health, with not enough time to cast her spell. She dodged the boar's attack, and then the second one, then finally was able to cast her healing spell. She was breathing heavy, exhaustion now catching up to her, but she wasn't ready to quit yet. She dodge the two attacks, and then swung at it, dealing seven damage, and swung again, dealing only two. She managed to keep up with that pace a few more times and got the young boar down to 49 health. She was pretty impressed with herself and continued to dodge and attack, dodge and attack, getting in two blows at a time. The young boar, now at 35 health charged her, she dodged, but the boar charged her again, and she couldn't quite get out of it's way. It did 19 damage to her and she only managed to get six health back. She figured it was because of how tired she was, but she wouldn't give up. She was still at 55 health, so she knew she could do it.
She dodged it's attacks, cast her reactive heal and then dodged them again. She kept hitting it, managing to get three blows in this time and before it could charge, she jumped to the side, getting up quickly to dodge it's second attack. It was now at 23, and she was swinging at it again. After her third hit, it was down to 8, but oddly enough,, the boar not only charged and missed, but instead of carging again, it brought up it's hooves and managed to hit her three times with it's new attack. She fell back and shuffled her bum on the ground. It's attacks brought her down to 21 health and her reactive heal only gave her 5 back. She now had 26 health, but the boar only had eight. She had to get to her feet, she had to dodge it's attacks and then manage to hit it two or even three times to kill it. She breathed heavy, got to her feet as quickly as she could manage, and jumped to the side as it charged. She jumped to her feet and managed to dodge it's second attack. She brought her staff up, and held it, and power hit the boar on the back, dealing nine damage. The boar shattered and her eyes widened. She sat down momentarily, her mind racing. 'I almost died..' She breathed heavy and closed her eyes momentarily then they shot back open. "But I didn't, I didn't die! I beat it!" She smiled widely and managed to pick herself up off of the ground. She felt overly tired now, and knew it was time for her to go back into town. She definitely needed rest. When she did get back into town, she instantly fell asleep in a patch of grass, she couldn't even make it to an inn.
