Hmm, I may create a tent if I know I might stay this long in this underground. Waiting in the dark like this remind me of my old time in the real world, resting on the tree while enjoying the starry night sky. Ah right, I cannot see the star from this place. This is just a huge, dark and closed place where monsters usually lurk. Well, an empty, quiet, and calm place for me. I walk through the rubbles and make my way to move deeper. There are still other adventurer’s parties nearby fighting with some cavern spiders. Whoa, that monster average level is higher than my current level now. I might be just a hassle if I try to interference with their teamwork. Sure for fighting monster, player numbers is one of thing that determines the wining chance. However, if I just start bashing monster in other party’s hunting area, they may just view me as someone who want to shows off and break their party battle strategy. Other reason is I have no decent skill and equipment to be on par with their average power level. Also, when people want to join in hunting ground, they usually being very talkative and try to waver the party leader to agree to include them in party. I don’t have that kind of talking skill, and I don’t want to be a bother. So, I just pressed myself to the rubble and moving away slowly.
Huft, now that I already moved this far, I can finally breath. Meh, what a big battle, yet it’s luxury for some people who have gained some trust from others and can form a party easily. Such luxury, I also don’t have it. For me now, I just wandering around this underground building and bash some monster for gold. Those adventurers party before must be there for underground clearing. Hmm, there is no monster around here. Maybe that group has moved from here before ganging the cavern spiders. Then, my rest place “Ahhhh…” I throw my body to the nearest rubble and lay myself on it, staring blankly to the dark ceiling. So far, this place might be huge even before it becomes ruins. For me just being here alone in the dark giving me such calm feeling, like being in my personal huge space, alone without disturbance. I turn my eyes to the direction of fighting party, one of their members casting magic light and it was faintly reaching to here. Hmm, even if I like being alone, there are so much things that cannot be solved by being alone. Such is… eh, is it my eyes tricking me or there really are some kobolds running to this direction.

Recent quests that had been rumoured throughout the community struck Valentine as curious, one about clearing monsters below the surface to make for safe travels for the future. She herself was nearly useless in a fight, entirely dependent upon her team mates and ability with her rapier, which she always had sheathed, hanging off of her left hip. She was quick to disregard the potential dangers of the underground monsters, feeling that she could easily find a group of people willing to adopt a new cleric like herself. There was usually a high demand for such a role, as most people enjoyed being tanks or fighters rather than a support role. She skipped her way over to the station, standing by as groups of friends and adventurers passed her, eager to fight off creatures in the earth beneath them. A part of her wished she had a group of friends, but a part of her also knew things like that took time, and she knew the world had something planned for her. She escaped the sunlight, heading into the cave, watching the last strands of sunlight fade away as the only lights that remained were ones stuck in the walls, barely illuminating the caves enough to see.
It didn't take long for her to see glows of all sorts come from around her, groups of people sending their magics all throughout the station. She searched for a group that seemed to lack a healer, but she couldn't spot one for her life. She wasn't even a high level, she was still rather basic at the game, so she knew her chances were even slimmer of finding someone down here in need of her help. In wasn't that long until noises and magic alike stopped, as she realised she was alone in the darkness. Alone? Was she really? The excited cheers from a party could faintly be heard from behind her, but she knew it would take them at least 40 measures to reach her location. She stood in the darkness, a tad bit afraid with her hand on her rapier. I shouldn't have come here alone, how could I have been so foolish?!" she scolded herself mentally, before the gurgles of a monster seemed to be heading for her direction, as she faintly spotted a man lying within the darkness. Was he hurt? She ran over to him, inspecting his body only to realise he was relaxing. The monsters approached faster, it seemed like she was their target. "Sir, I know this is sudden but may I request of you to slay these monsters? I will assist you in anyway I can, but I am unable to fend them off by myself." She quickly spit out, before drawing her rapier in a defensive fright.

A sudden warning surprised me. It was from a girly figure that appeared near me. She was about third-quarter of my height and currently holding a slim like sword on her waist. Yeah, I can see clearly in the dark, it was my racial skill as werecat. That also why I like dark places like this in Elder Tale. Well, that’s not too important. There are two kobolds coming from the side of rubbles, the girl voice proving me that wasn’t just my imagination. I jump to my stance and measuring our distance to the enemy. They are too far from party that still fighting the cavern spiders, or from the reason that I don’t know the party ignore them. Maybe they just focus on the enemy in front of them, and ignore other things that don’t have potential to endanger them. The kobolds are far enough to not attracted by their agro, or so I think. They walk close to each other and dragging their club, with glimmering like filled with hunger to human flesh.
Both of their level are 10, from my quick check on their status. Hmm, decent enough for me to handle. As they are far enough from the party and closing to us, I dash toward them to cut the distance faster. By their nature, they are rushing toward my direction as soon I am closing the distance. I put a quick stop with my foot and swinging my fist from the right, activating my skill –Aura Saber-. This skill allowing me to attract more agro from the opponent so they only target me from the time being, as long as there is no attack that is too strong hitting them. My fist glowing with a dim white light as I swing it, hitting both of their body and causing their HP drop about 70%. Yesh, success attack. I duck to dodge the incoming attacks from the sides, and both of them missing me. Well, not surprise with our difference in level and my monk specialty in AGI. I have high probability to not receiving any damage from the enemy. “Heheheh, my friend… you have bad luck to meet me today” other attacks coming, this time both of their clubs emanating such pressure. Tsk, it might be hurt. They swing their club again from both side, I managed to dodge one, but I missed the other. “Gah” the impact just hurt like I expect it be, and drop my HP bar about 5%. Bah, if only I use that opportunity to attack back rather than laughing. I hope my stupidity won’t bring harm to the lady behind me.

Luckily, the werecat had decided to help Valentine, immediately taking charge towards the humanoid lizards. There were two of them, so he was bound to take some sort of damage, and as a cleric, Valentine was prepared. She used her spell "Reactive Heal," surrounding him in a warm orange light, of which would heal him the moment he took any damage. The spell went on its 15 second cooldown as she ran towards the kobolds and the werecat with her rapier drawn. She waited for an opportunity to enter the fight, hoping to keep the aggro on her new companion, but the way they surrounded him left her baffled as to what she would do. She saw her opportunity arise as the werecat was knocked to the ground by one of the club wielding lizards, as she dashed in, standing in front of him before they could inflict anymore damage. The spell she cast prior to the fight would heal the damage he took, allowing him to fight longer.
She thrusted her rapier towards the enemies, now agro'd on the level one cleric. She wouldn't have much of a turn on the fight, but she managed to parry the attacks fro the kobolds, waiting for the cat to get back on his feet. "Please rise back to your feet, you are a warrior no?!" She said, starting to flee from the enemies. Almost out of breath, she ran in circles from the monsters for minutes. She truly wished she could something more useful than simply stall and distract, but she as too weak of a class and player. It seemed like a silly plan, running in circles, but she knew death was not a problem for players of Elder Tale, which always comforted her in dangerous situations she found herself in. The kobolds were level 10, too high of a level for her weak attacks to hurt them on a scale that would matter. Her hope lied on whether or not the werecat would be able to kill them and help her clear more monsters, since on her own, she is but a weak cleric.

The appearance of princess like lady halting the oncoming charge of kobolds. Sure I have inflicted high amount of damage to them, even using my agro skill to make sure they only targeting me. So, I assume the lady is safe even she stands there in front of me. I take the slight moment to be on my feet again, following her advice. Then land my left punch toward the closest kobold, and blowing them into bubbles. The sounds of cringing gold cried from where the kobold stands before, but I don’t care about that now, there is more need to focus on what trick will the kobolds unfold to overturn the winning chance. Hopefully, they won’t unleash anymore skills which I don’t know yet how to handle it. The lady lands multiple hits with her rapier, building up small damages as the kobold find a way to make an opening toward me. I swing my body to the side and attract the kobold to face at my direction, backing the lady in the process. The kobold swing its club again as it changes the direction. I take the hit this time, makes my HP drop for another 5%, and using the opportunity to hit the kobold back and blow it to bubbles. The place suddenly become quiet, and my body emanate some faint glow indicating the heal skill activated and in process. I am partly not surprised with sudden emanation of light on my body because I have been fight with other player who has similar skill. On other part, I still don’t know the skill name.
Ah, so the lady class is cleric. “Thank you for your warn before, and I am sorry for my sudden charge. As you know, I am here for hunting some monsters for collecting the gold” I give her a smile as I lay my butt on the nearest rubble. The faint glow magic light become more and more dim as the party before changed their position to be more deeper in this underground tunnel. I inspect the surrounding with my quick glance. Hmm, It may safe for now, I spotted no more monsters. But I still need to be caution for sudden attack like before. I can at least feel more calmed, knowing there are no more monsters spotted in my vision. I let out a long sigh and closing my back to the rubbles. Hmm, right, I still don’t introduce myself with the lady “ah, I am sorry to not introduce myself. My name is Lukav, as you can see in my status panel. My class is Monk and have blacksmith and berserker for subclasses” I try to not sounds like trying to make her mad, I am aware that my overall appearance kind of suggesting that I am some kind of villainous existence. At least, I have tried to. I take a long moment to wait, before asking her again “So, what summons you to this place?”

» She put had put her full-fledged attention in this battle, optimising on the small mistakes made by the games monsters. She wasn't really a fighter, but she knew how to properly use a rapier. Back in the real world, the worse world to her, she had taken fencing lessons for years and years on end. She didn't dislike it entirely, it gave her an outlet for the emotions she constantly kept bottled inside. However now, it wasn't just good for spilling anger, but also for spilling the blood of creatures that dare come across and fight her. She managed to get only a couple more thrusts with her blade before the werecat rose to his feet, fending off the lizards until they dispersed into the air as bubbles of rainbow. It was a strangely beautiful sight, despite that being a dead creature. Something about the way the bubbles glimmered as they floated into the air made Valentine smile, as she her thoughts were interrupted by the cat. “Thank you for your warn before, and I am sorry for my sudden charge. As you know, I am here for hunting some monsters for collecting the gold.” He mentioned to her knowing why he was here, when in reality, she honestly didn't. Everybody had their own reasons for what they did and for all she knew he could have been here to find a nice, secluded dark place to nap.
She shook her head, too nervous to actually reply. This cat was a big man, almost triple her size so it was normal for her to be a little intimidated. She put her rapier back in its sheath quietly, trying to attract minimal attention for him. “Ah, I am sorry to not introduce myself. My name is Lukav, as you can see in my status panel. My class is Monk and have blacksmith and berserker for subclasses.” This gave her a little bit more comfort. Not knowing somebodies name while standing one on one with them was no doubt scary, but also left you suspicious and with many doubts. Knowing each other's name was always the first step into friendship and this may possibly be the dawn of a new one, which excited Val mentally. "My name is Valentine, charmed." She said, tilting her head curling her lips into a smile. Compared to the man who had now lied down on the rubble below him, she looked especially clean. She had almost no dirt or streaks of black on her, while this cat seemed to make home in the rocks.
She still wasn't entirely sure as to why Luka was here, be it for a nap or clearing the dungeon. He had mentioned the latter, but couldn't help but remain and consider the former. “So, what summons you to this place?” He asked almost out of the blue, catching her sudden attention. "Well, you see..." She started, nervous about how she was going to finish this sentence. "I am still fairly new to Elder Tale, I lack the proper skills as a cleric to adventure on my own. I was hoping that I would make acquaintance with a new party or companion today, alas I saw you here with enemies approaching, so..." She wasn't sure entirely whether or not Luka was friendly or not, but they had both managed to defeat some enemies, which was a huge feat in her book. "Would you like to consider partying up with me, Luka? It would make me most happy if you did." She covered her mouth with her hand, slightly embarrassed by her sudden request. But there was no way she was going anywhere else in this dungeon alone.

Ah, for making the lady to be the one asking to make a party, it sure rude of me. There go again my slow thinking for reading human emotion. well, not surprise for someone who used to sit in the corner, just being there and watch people socializing. Well, I don’t know what it means to socialize, but I think my bro and all my villagers back then are friendly.
I sit on the rubble and move my finger to the air in front of me, opening my party invite menu, I just follow what I saw the last time when other adventurer inviting me to their party. A confirmation panel must be shown on the lady menu, let her decide to accept or decline the offer. I check my exp requirement while I am at it. Hmm, maybe… noooot that far… I may get more level by lurking in this area. Looking from the last battle, there may be fair amount of enemy’s surprise attack. Still, I need to be caution to not attracting enemies above our average level and endanger our teamwork, or I will be forced to do suicide tactic. You know, when tank is at low health, we attract all nearby enemy then run by ourselves letting the enemies charging at us while left the area near other party members safe from any possible enemies attack. Then we just die in the corner while other party members go to safe area, waiting for enemies run out of target then ignore the area and just continue lurking, giving any healer member to resurrect the tank. Such is tank job, our main role is to protect with our body.
A sudden dimming bring me back from my thoughts. I can see the adventurer party moving farther, bring the light along with them. A faint light still reach us when I start noticing the lady attire. Hmm, somehow, I got excited with the way the frills swaying. I unconsciously move my fingers, want to maw them. I can hold it in some way, but I can’t promise to hold myself from sudden action, to jump and catch them. Ah, I hope she won’t mad by my eccentricity. I have meet some adventurers here, and they can easily being defensive when I did that. Then again, I can’t hold but to keep that habit, such is my way of socializing. Ah, am I too much into playing as cat again.
The lady also mentioned that she was in search for party to level his class and gain more skills, or so in my understanding. I am agree with her. If I want to level faster with facing more monsters or just stronger monster, I will go and search someone to party with me. Although, when I was at low level, I just rush to face some boars alone and end up dead. Meh, but such memory taught me how to battle properly even though this is my first MMO game. “Ah, don’t worry, I am also new to this game and was at lower level too, but you can count on me for holding the front now, ehehehe” as I said that, the party before has gone too far, left us in the darkness. I can hear some movement.
