Basic spell shots from an apprentice grimoire were being fired off at the surrounding trees, not towards a target but simply out of frustration. The source of the magic would be using a melee weapon if he could, however he lacked such metal objects in his inventory. The person in question was a blue eyed male with wavy black and messy hair which usually covered his eyes. This was one of the few times when those ice blue eyes were showing. They were dazzling, seemingly radiating their color among the black locks of hair on this monotonous gray-scaled day with silver clouds above. A slightly chilly temperature with no wind and no foreboding presence of rain. Unusually, those cold blue eyes were burning a rare blue intensity towards whatever they glared at. With no concern for his surroundings, the white-clad figure in cloth tunics tossed his grimoire at a tree in a fit of rage.
Walking over and sitting down at the tree, he placed his grimoire back on his belt, plopping down with his back to the unfamiliar wood. Up until a little while ago, Hyoka had been fighting some mobs using his worn out equipment. Who knows how long he had been trapped here. But now that things were starting to sink in, his namesake was causing some old wounds to resurface. The conversation of adventurers around him did not help in the slightest back in Londinium. Being the introvert he was, he left to have some time away from others who he was not close to. But, he was not close to anyone in this world. No one to share his troubles with. But it was the same back then, anyway. He had never been the most social person around, and his demeanor had shown in this world, making it hard to communicate with others.
He always preferred to be the silent type in real life, and leave his chatty self for his gaming side, the side which no one could see the face of. But with the slow but sure to come hard truth of the matter, the two were now one. He could not escape now. With the swirling of thoughts within his mind, the summoner could only do his best to distract himself. His actions up to this point, and from this point on, were simply a blur and not in any particular order. Standing up again, he looked at the tree he had been leaning against. The closest branch was probably around three meters up. All of the trees around him felt so unfamiliar. He had been living in New Zealand for so the last several years so it was what he could relate to, not what he saw now.
Jumping as high as he could, Hyoka grabbed the branch. In this world, athleticism meant nothing. If he could imagine it, he could do it. That was his mindset. It worked half the time, for half the things he applied it to so far. With both hands grasping the branch, he used his thin arms to pull himself towards it and wrap one leg around it. Letting one hand go, he placed it onto the same side as the other and pulled up with the support of his leg. Once up high enough, he hooked his foot on to stop swaying and got onto the top. His basis for tree climbing, since not doing it in real life, was pretending he was climbing out of a pool, or from a pool onto a bar separating two pools. Straddling the branch, Hyoka carelessly yet meticulously stood up and looked above him for another branch.
Doing this would get him nowhere. But at least it was distracting him. After all, if he fell, the pain was real enough to him. It somehow lacked the adrenaline and endorphins released in real life, knowing you could truly die and be incapacitated. This world would bring you back after time. Repeating his technique for the next branch, Hyoka continued until he was as high up as he could be. Looking out as far as he could, he could only see more trees. He had been camping only a few times in his life, so he had seen similar sights, and they didn't spark any interest in him. Looking down, he checked the spacing between each branch. Finding a path, he dropped from his current standpoint and placed a foot or hand on branches to swing or step to the next level down. Until he missed one and fell, landing on his back on the grass.
