Yup, That's an Oxymoron!
The sun was set high in the sky as Ame arrived at the Northern Marshlands. She had wanted to spend the day taming her animals and teaching them teamwork at the beach, but somewhere along the lines, she found herself in the Marshlands. "Where in tha hell yah takin' us, wuman?!" She let out a deep breath as the white, slightly spotted black, rabbit called down from his spot in her arms. She looked down at him with a glare and thought it best not to respond. Not that he was very happy about that, but he kept his mouth closed, awaiting their days adventure. She looked to her left, seeing her Myobu Kitsune, Mamori, walking beside her. She never complained about anything, that one, and she loved her for it. Not that she didn't love Spoticus, but he was a fussy being and had quite the mouth on him as well. Ame had the plan to teach them both English, but first, she had to work on her rabbit's personality. She didn't want him going around a putting others down, or hitting on other adventurer's, or like he had on first meeting with Balore and Lavinia, been completely rude to her friends. If he learned to speak the 'language of the adventurers' as Mamori called it, then she feared what he would say to others.
As she came up on a Weeping Willow tree, she ducked her head underneath and surveyed the spot. It was quiet and serene. She let out a soft and happy sigh as she nodded her head and sat next to the root of the tree. "Alright, you two. We're going to rest here for a while. I want to talk to you about your behavior, Spoticus. I know that you are your own person and I don't want to change you because I love you, however, I can't teach you English if you are going to talk down to people." Spoticus looked up at her, his sad bunny eyes low as he hung his head. "Mistress, you dun' like meh anymore?" Ame shook her head and took her bunny in her arms, kissing his head. "Spoticus, of course I still like you! In fact, I love you! You are my animal, the first one I ever got, but, the thing is, others might not understand when you talk to them. Like when you call me Mistress, it isn't right.. Do you now what a Mistress is?" She tilted her head, her look questioning as she waited for his answer. "Cours' I do! It's when yah get a waifu, but yah got yerself a side bit-" Ame put her hand over his mouth. "I am not your mistress and Mamori is not your wife! We are your friends, Spoticus and you can't treat us like this. You need to realize that we have feelings and that we don't like it when you say things like that, because, well, it feels like you don't respect us.
Spoticus looked over to the kitsune. "Yah feel that way ta, hot stuff?" Ame looked to Mamori, the foxes eyes matching hers. She nodded her head and Mamori looked to Spoticus. "Yes, Spoticus, I do. I also am not fond of that either, hot stuff. If you think I am attractive, you should use the word beautiful.. Women like that much more, right Lady Ame?" When Mamori looked to her, Ame nodded her head and patted Mamori's. The fox and the fox tail were so much alike, and not just in color, but in character too. They matched perfectly when she had met her, and it took no time at all to get her to join her team, now, she was helping her train the small rabbit, who was older in age than he seemed. "That's right, Mamori. Spoticus, you need to be more of a gentleman. You'll make a lot more friends if you do. You know, you're such a sweet heart already, but, it wouldn't kill you to tone down on the roughness of your words." She hoped he knew what she meant as he was a rabbit and didn't know if he would understand what she was saying to him in terms of toning himself down. "So, yah both dun like who I am? That hurts a little gals.. But what can yah do.. I suppose I'll try ta be a little nicer to yah from now on then. Don't want teh beautiful ladeh's to be mad at meh, do I?" Both Mamori and Ame chuckled at that and both shook their heads to him. "Thank you for understanding Spoticus. I'm happy that you agree." Mamori also nodded her head at Ame's words. "Yes, I am happy as well!"
For the first time, Ame saw her fox get excited and she let out a laugh, but she felt her cheeks flush as Mamori snuck her nose between her arm and met Spoticus' nose with hers. Ame's eyes widened and suddenly she felt awkward. Wasn't that.. illegal or something? She tilted her head. "Uhm, I don't mean to intrude, but, aren't there rules against.. you know.. a bunny and a fox?" She waited, but surprise sturck her when it was Mamori who took the reigns on the conversation. "My Lady, we are animals in a game. Outside of here, you are real and can only find love legally with another of your kind, but here, soul mates come in all forms, if soul mates even exist. I'm sure there are other races in the human kind and they come together to be one, so, why not a fox and a bunny? Does it matter, if our love is real?" Ame sat there, her eyes wide for a moment and she tugged the two animals together with a happy smile. "Ahh, you are right Mamori. I hope you too find true happiness together then!" She smiled again and gave them both a kiss on the head. "Now, it's time to learn English!" With those words, Mamori seemed to smile, while Spoticus tried his hardest to get away.
