It was a nice sunny day on the beach as the gentle waves lapped the sandy shore and a sweat breeze caressed any person on the beach. Lavinia was at the beach on this day hoping to find a suitable location for her home. She asked for a person she just met to meet her here as a bodyguard, she didn't really think she'd need one, Lavinia just wanted the company as she hiked around scouting out a location. The person she asked was Ridley, a lander warden, whom was not very strong yet, but as mentioned above she was really looking for company. She had some recommended spots from an adventure she met in Londinium on a map in her inventory and planned to check them out. The young enchantress stands on the beach as the cool waves lap up against her feet. It was a rather enjoyable experience that Lavinia was rather fond of. As she stood there she watched the little crabs scuttle up and down the beach, seemingly running away from the waves and then back down the beach, it was a rather humorious sight. Looking out over the clear blue ocean and the clear blue sky was rather romantic. Lavinia was hoping she could find a suitable location near the beach. Because well, its the beach, a place to relax and have fun but she didn't want the crowd of possible adventures relaxing here to bother her. She was thinking up in the forest past the beach line for the best possible location. As she waited for the young warden to show Lavinia looked out at the ocean for a bit. She thought about, Balore, Kitty and the rest of her friends, about her recent adventure with Tyonis and the attack on Moon Dance Village. She thought back on what she could have changed or done differently.
Deciding she didn't want to stand anymore she turns and starts walking toward the tree line. Finding a decent straight and tall tree, Lavinia lowers her hood and sits in front of the tree looking out on the ocean as she continues to wait. Lavinia thought Ridley would be here soon as she looked out from her spot below the tree.

SCOUTING FOR POSSIBLE LOCATIONS [attr="class","topLeftBeam"]HP - 100% [attr="class","icon"] [attr="class","topRightBeam"]100% - MP [attr="class","content"] This was the first time Rildey had been to the Thames Coastline. When she arrived, she found herself in awe, the scene impressing her greatly. The sea was like nothing she had seen before; the blue of the water and the way the sun reflected off of it, making the surface dazzling brilliantly. More than once, as she made her way toward the place she was to meet her "client", she found herself lost in the beauty of the place. It was hard not to stop and stare at the sea, and Ridley had to shake herself out of more a couple little trances. The warmth of the sun and the coolness of the sea breeze mixed well and left Ridley feeling quite comfortable. She could almost lay down in the sand and take a nap, something she noticed a few other people had already opted to do. She was definitely going to need to come back and do just that one day. But for now, she had business to attend to. Ushering her mind back to the task at hand, she began to search the area for Lavinia. They had met the day Moon Dance Village was attacked by Heretics. Shortly following the attack, she was approached by the Adventurer and asks to join her in a little excursion to find a housing location. Ridley had found it surprising that Lavinia was looking into purchasing a personal house. She wasn't sure why, since she didn't know much of anything about her and she knew that Adventurers had been doing just that ever since they had arrived in this world. She assumed the concept of people in this world being able to so easily acquire a house had simple yet to dawn on her. She couldn't see a house in her own near future, at any rate. But then again, she wasn't an Adventurer. I guess that's just one more perk of being an Adventurer, she thought with a smile. After a few minutes, she spotted Lavinia sitting against a tree, her Enchanter's robe pulled down over her eyes to block out the sun. Seeing her in full combat garb reminded her of why exactly she had been asked to assist her. Ridley found herself hoping that they didn't run into any trouble, but with the wildlife of this world, no one could be too safe. It was also now that she became quite aware of how odd if must look for a Warden in full combat garb to be walking around on the beach, and she found herself blushing, despite no one seeming to notice anyway. Composing herself once more, she approached Lavinia. "Sorry, I'm late. It had to be near the beach, this view is perfect it took Ridley's greeting to snap Lavinia out of her daze. "Hey, thanks for coming." she says smiling at the warden pushing herself to her feet. This was the second time Lavinia has seen Ridley, the first time in Moon Dance Village. The little warden's magi tech armor was just as impressive now as the first time she saw it. The armor suited Ridley well, made her look cute in a strange way. The armor reminded Lavinia of a police uniform from the real world, but that was probably the point. "Oh, your not late, but I should have told you to wear something... Less heavy. It must be hot walking around in that armor." she says checking out her armor. Lavinia was lucky enough that when she had her new outfit made it left the stomach, arms and legs uncovered, something she was still adjusting to but useful in keeping her from sweating. Looking up from Ridley's armor into her eyes Lavinia decided it's time to get down to business. "Well, I told you why I asked you here." she says looking around them and then back at Ridley "I want a house, but I don't know where." she says laughing. "So, were gonna look at a couple spots. I asked for you to join me because I'm not a very good fighter by myself, plus having someone to talk to is nice." she continued smiling at the fox tail. "If your ready I figured we could start on the beach." she says as she turns, waiting for Ridley to follow before she starts walking down toward the part of the beach that is still damp from the waves.
As the pair walked leaving a long trail of foot prints behind them, Lavinia admired the view. "So, umm... Do you have any hobbies?" Lavinia asked her partner, Lavinia thought the pair could get along great, even become friends if they got to know each other. She wondered what Landers did in their spare time, the only lander she had any prolonged contact with was the pharmacy shopkeeper and all he did was make potions and read books, almost exactly like herself. That was mainly because the two were so alike, kinda quiet, book smart and so on. As the pair walked down the beach, off to their left just before the forest line was a fallen tree, rather old by the look of it. Just tucked inside the hollowed out center was a Level 5 - Mimic just waiting for someone to get close. Noticing it Lavinia stops and points to the fallen tree "Hey, look a chest.", starting toward the chest with the thought "free loot!" buzzing around her head something seems off. It's rare for chests to spawn in places like this, they are either very well hidden or are taunting you behind a big mean bad guy. The back of her brain was screaming at the front to wake the hell up its a trap but it didn't listen as Lavinia was only a few feet away now. "Wonder what's inside..." she says to Ridley curiously, wondering who should get the honor of opening it.

SCOUTING FOR POSSIBLE LOCATIONS [attr="class","topLeftBeam"]HP - 100% [attr="class","icon"] [attr="class","topRightBeam"]100% - MP [attr="class","content"] Ridley hadn't thought about wearing something casual, but now that she considered it, it made a lot more sense. Lavinia was also right about it being hot, as well as heavy after a while. Normally, she was almost too eager to shed the chain- and plate-mail suit when her duties ended each day. However, Lavinia had asked her here as a bodyguard, so all things considered, her attire made sense. She was starting to envy her companion however, as she inspected her outfit more closely. It was easy to tell she was wearing combat robes, but their design looked comfortable and breathable. Not to mention it looked rather cute on her. Ridley listened carefully as Lavinia went over the details of their little excursion once more, almost as if listening to a battle plan or a missive from some village in need of aid. Every detail was soaked up like water to a sponge and Ridley filed it all away almost as soon as each word left Lavinia's lips. Nodding, she smiled and moved to follow her back toward the water. As they walked, Lavinia seemed to decide that some small talk was in order, something Ridley wasn't at all against. She enjoyed talking to and learning about and from other people. One could never know too much about the world around them, especially in these days since the Apocalypse. The opportunity for a Lander to converse with an Adventurer was rare as far as Ridley was concerned. In fact, other than Esperia, Lavinia was only the second Adventurer she had ever formally met. Tyonis and the other Adventurers who had assisted in the defense of Moon Dance Village were an exception, of course; but they hadn't stuck around to chat for very long. Ridley considered Lavinia's question about her hobbies for a moment. She couldn't admit to having very many. No specific hobbies, anyway. "Nothing in particular," she responded, looked at the girl as they continued to walk. "I mostly just play with the village kids when I'm not on duty. I rarely get a chance to do that, though, since such things 'aren't becoming of a Warden.'" The disappointment in her voice must have been pretty plain to Lavinia. In order to not sound depressing, however, she quickly flashed a grin at her and gave a mock salute. "I also like to tinker with things, I guess. There's a mechanic's workshop in the Warden's Keep in Stratford that I probably spend way too much time in. I've been reprimanded a few times for 'wasting the master mechanic's time,' but he never seems to mind when I'm around. I think he enjoys the company. He even let's me help with different tasks. But uh, don't tell anyone that." She flashed another grin, placing her hands behind her back leaning forward to stare at Lavinia in a teasing way of saying "I'll never forgive you if you do." As she straightened her stance once more, Ridley caught site of something, seemingly at the same time Lavinia had as well. It was a fallen tree just at the edge of the tree line. However, Lavinia saw more than she had, pointing and announcing the presence of a chest. Ridley tilted her head at the mention of a chest. She hadn't seen many treasure chests and didn't know much about them, but knew they contained items, collectively known as loot, that Adventurers were often excited to get their hands on. She looked over at Lavinia and nodded, following as the girl go closer. She was eager to find out what might be inside, and stood close to Lavinia as the two of them neared the mysterious container. | Next stop, not the place we want. Lavinia looked at Ridley as she explained what she did in her free time, at first Lavinia felt sorry that Ridley had no real hobbies but then she continued. "Good with kids huh?" Lavinia thought as she listened to Ridley. It sounded like she really enjoyed playing with the kids judging by the way she worded it. "Aren't becoming of a Warden." Lavinia echoed in her mind, as the thought bounced around it actually upset Lavinia a bit. Ignoring the bit about being a mechanic for the moment Lavinia wanted to find out more about why Ridley couldn't play with the kids. "Aren't becoming? Who said that?" Lavinia replied back, in her usual gentle tone but a bit of an edge snuck in. It was just silly to think like that, a protector of the people, not being allowed to bond with the ones they are risking their lives to protect, outragious. Lavinia would wait for Ridley to reply before continuing the conversation since she wanted to know why its not becoming and more about her being a mechanic. "So you like to tinker, you remind me of myself actually." she said smiling in amusement at how Lavinia also spends a lot of time at the Pharmacy shop in Londunium. A phrase popped into Lavinia's head as she reflected on Ridley's words, she decided to share them. "A teacher is never upset to see his students flurious." Lavinia said with an air of wisdom about her, some more of that old soul mumbo jumbo kittygrey told her about. Lavinia still wasn't a beleiver. "Now and if I do tell someone?" she had to challange it, the look Ridley gave Lavinia made it almost impossible not to tease the cute fox tail. The look she gave Ridley mimiced the one she gave Lavinia before, Lavinia was rather curious how she would reply. "I guess I'll open it." Lavinia says smiling taking a step forward towards the mimic. Thats when the back of her brain finally got the attention of the front part and Lavinia realized what it was. Gasping at the realization Lavinia took a few steps back and urged Ridley to do the same with her arm. "I'm an idiot, its a mimic. If you try to open it, it'll attack us." she said quickly readying her staff encase it attacked, which it wouldn't and shouldn't at this distance. "Come on, lets move on." she said to Ridley in a calm soft tone, one that would imply everything should be fine. Backing away from the Mimic after a few seconds Lavinia turned her back on the Mimic and started to walk normally. As the pair walked down the beach Lavinia thought of something else she could ask Ridley. But she also thought it might be a bit to premature in their relationship so she decided against it. "The first spot I want to check out should be just up ahead." she stated pointing ahead of them down the beach a ways. WORD COUNT:501

SCOUTING FOR POSSIBLE LOCATIONS [attr="class","topLeftBeam"]HP - 100% [attr="class","icon"] [attr="class","topRightBeam"]100% - MP [attr="class","content"] As Ridley told Lavinia about her so-called hobbies, the latter girl seemed to be listening with interest and intrigue. This made Ridley smile inwardly, knowing that someone found her even a little interesting. When she had mentioned that she was told that playing with the village kids wasn't "becoming of a Warden," Lavinia asked her who had said such a thing. The tone in her voice was gentle and friendly, but Ridley could also pick up a bit of an edge, as if Lavinia were put off by such a claim. Not that Ridley could blame her. "My superiors, unfortunately. Nearly all of them." She spoke now in a bit of a hurt, disappointed tone, all but kicking at the dirt like a child deprived of her after-school snack. As Ridley continued into her tinkering habits, Lavinia thought to comment once more, telling Ridley that she reminded her of herself. Ridley smiled at this, her own interest in Lavinia growing even more. If she was being honest, she enjoyed the time she spent with the master mechanic much more than she let on. When she mentioned that the master mechanic let her help him sometimes and seemed to enjoy her company, Lavinia added a few words of wisdom. Ridley considered these words, intrigued by the thought that the master mechanic might actually see her as a sort of student. The prospect excited her, and she felt herself involuntarily grinning. When Ridley told Lavinia not to tell anyone about her little mechanic's apprentice adventures, Lavinia teased her, asking what she would do if she did. "Umm...I'll...I'll tell everyone I can find where your house is," Ridley said, sticking her tongue out and grinning at her. Lavinia probably didn't much care if people knew where her house was, not that she would actually do such a thing. Ridley knew what privacy meant to a girl, and infringing on that privacy was something you simply didn't do. When the two of them had reached a treasure chest, Lavinia seemed eager to find out what was inside, announcing that she was going to open. However, she suddenly backed off cautiously, throwing her arm out in front of Ridley to get her to do the same. When she explained that the chest was actually a Mimic, a type of creature that disguised itself to lure unsuspecting passersby before attacking them, Ridley felt her ears twitch. She was glad Lavinia had realized before it had a chance to attack. However, her gaze remained on the thing, interested by it. She had never seen one of these creatures, but could imagine how much of a pain they must be. Literally. As Lavinia led her away, Ridley looked over her shoulder at the creature one last time before continuing on. If Ridley had been alone, there was no way she would have been able to catch on to the chest's true identity. She started to ponder once more the advantages Adventurers had over Landers. Any unsuspecting Lander or Adventurer could have waltzed up on that chest and dove headfirst into their attempts to open it. The thought made her feel uneasy, and she looked back at it once again. "Should we just leave it there? Someone else might fall for its trick just like we almost did." Rildey said this more to herself that to Lavinia and wasn't sure if she had heard her or not. As they continued on, Lavinia announced that the first place she wanted to check out was just up ahead. Ridley found herself getting a little more excited as the task of scouting out the perfect place to put Lavinia's house neared. | off to the woods we go!
Lavinia frowned at the thought of Ridley's superiors scolding her for playing with the villager's kids. It did make some sense to the enchantress, the wardens would have to arrest or even kill anyone with high levels of corruption, being socially bonded with the community would distract them from that. But warden's were also supposed to approachable if something was the matter. Lavinia thought about having Ridley take her to see her superiors, but then decided against it as that may bring trouble down on her and she didn't want that. "Yeah? Maybe, we can feed them to Maledict Mayahuel. Then you can play with whoever you like. she says smiling amusingly at the end of the comment. Then Lavinia realized that Ridley may not know what Maledict Mayahuel is. While never encountering the creature herself, Lavinia has read legends and storys about the creature from lore books, mostly about how terrible the creature is, she hoped she could fight it one day.
Lavinia smiled widely as Ridley teased her back, the threat of telling everyone where she lived was amusing. Lavinia locked eyes with Ridley and slowly walked towards her companion, now standing right in front of her Lavinia reaches out and places both hands on each of her shoulders if Ridley would allow it. "That's what the lock on the door is for." she whispered, Ridley's fox like ears should have no problem picking up the whisper and the teasing amusement contained in it. After she said it she quickly realized her so things would not get awkward, if they weren't already.
As the two walked away from the mimic Lavinia agreed with Ridley's almost inaudible comment. It would be best to kill the creature so no one else would fall pray to it, but there was one factor that made Lavinia want to avoid it, Ridley. Her level was low enough that fighting such a creature even with Lavinia's help could seriously injure her. Without a healer, allowing a lander like Ridley to become injured is dangerous and Lavinia would rather keep Ridley out of harms way. Maybe it was because she was a lander, Lavinia really didn't know, but she did know that she wanted to stay out of trouble without a healer. "Yeah, I'd rather avoid any trouble." she said smiling looking at Ridley. Lavinia didn't want to tell her, it was because of her that they didn't engage the creature, because that could then bring up the point of why bring a bodyguard that may not be strong enough to do the job. The fact that she kept this to herself was evident in her voice.
As the pair got closer to the first location, Lavinia guided Ridley up towards the tree line. After a walk up a small mound of sand the pair finds themselves looking at a grassy inlet in the tree line. The inlet is almost the perfect size for a house and had a nice view of the beach and the sea. Turning around to look at the sea and then back at the inlet Lavinia was glad she asked for some possible locations, this was a nice spot. "What do you think?" she says still looking around, a moment would pass before she continued "Its a nice view, but I think its to close to the beach. I kind of want something, out of the way but near by." she finishes, she realized the way she worded it she never really intended on picking this spot, but it was the closest and gave the two time to talk. After a moment of waiting Lavinia decides its time to head to the next spot up in the woods. "You ready to head to the next spot?" she says smiling at Ridley pointing toward the treeline and the direction they will be going next.

SCOUTING FOR POSSIBLE LOCATIONS [attr="class","topLeftBeam"]HP - 100% [attr="class","icon"] [attr="class","topRightBeam"]100% - MP [attr="class","content"] Ridley has to admit that she had no idea what a Maledict Mayahuel was, but she was sure that "feeding her superiors to it" was something that she wanted to avoid. As tempting as the prospect of not being scolded almost daily for simply trying to enjoy her free time was, she knew that Lavinia's idea, serious or not, would mean nothing but trouble. "Sounds tempting, but I doubt any more good would come from that than what I'm dealing with now." She responded in playful way, her tone teasing at the idea like a child playing with food they never intend to eat. When Ridley had teased Lavinia about telling everyone where her house was, the girl gave another response of her own. The way Lavinia had approached her and placed her hands on her shoulders, the big teasing grin spread across her face, had caught Ridley off guard. The expression was almost creepy, and the comment itself felt thick with some underlying meaning. Before long, however, Ridley had shaken any...unsavory thoughts from her head, letting out a small laugh and nudging Lavinia playfully. This girl sure did like to tease her. Not that she disliked it, however. When Ridley had unconsciously expressed her concern about leaving the Mimic alone for anyone else to walk up on, Lavinia answered by telling her that she would rather avoid any trouble. This made sense to Ridley--why put yourself in danger if you don't necessarily have to--but she also felt like there was more to it. The way Lavinia had backed away from it and so quickly decided to leave it alone gave Ridley the feeling that that particular Mimic might have been a lot tougher than she initially thought. Her limited access of the Interface didn't allow her to see the Mimic's stats at all--not surprising since it was apparently designed to trick anyone who tried to open it--but she figured Lavinia was able to and was trying to keep them both safe. Ridley smiled at the thought of Lavinia worrying about her safety, feeling herself blush slightly. She was glad, of course. She knew that if Lavinia were to fall prey to the beast of the wilds, then she would be able to revive in one of the major cities. Things were not the same for the young Warden, however, and Ridley was glad that Lavinia seemed to take that into consideration. Of course, this was all just speculation and Ridley could very well just be full of herself, but we'll go with the better of two possibilities. When they had finally arrived at their first destination, Lavinia asked Ridley what she thought. The area itself seemed quite nice: a little grassy inlet tucked into the treeline and looking out onto the beach. The view of the ocean was spectacular in Ridley's eyes. She had to admit that it was a bit more...open than she thought Lavinia might choose. Of course, this was still only their first stop. Lavinia soon said what Ridley was thinking, expressing that she would rather have something out of the way but still near the beach. Ridley nodded in agreement, thinking that something a little more tucked away would suit an Adventurer better. It seemed to compliment the mysteriousness that Ridley felt surrounded the Adventurers. This was of course, her own opinion, since she still knew next to nothing about them. Soon, Lavinia asked if she was ready to continue to the next loaction, to which Ridley nodded and proceeded to follow the girl. | I suddenly hate the wind
Lavinia looked at Ridley with a smile as she nodded that she was ready to start heading to the next spot. "Good, come on." she says to her companion as she turns an heads into the tree line. Inside the trees are pretty spaced apart and get denser and more compact as the pair continue further away from the coastline. Under the canopy of trees the air becomes cooler when compared to the warm air on the beach. Lavinia was glad at this, the next location was maybe a twenty minute hike up hill. As they walk they disturb level 1 rabbits and other low level critters that don't pose any threat to them.
As they walked Lavinia started to wonder if Ridley was just quiet in general or maybe quiet because she was on a job. She decided to test this by asking about something Lavinia thought she took great interest in. "So, you like to tinker? Like with what?" she asked looking over her shoulder at Ridley. She hoped this would get her talking, Lavinia was curious about the landers after they become almost indistinguishable from the adventures and the pharmacy shopkeeper wasn't exactly the talkative type so Ridley would have to do. Not that, that was a bad thing.
Lavinia was keeping an eye out for a stream, more like a small river that ran all the way down and into the ocean. This river will be there guide to the next location and then the guide to their last spot. "Keep an eye out for a stream. We follow that to the next spot." she says to her companion as she continues to walk. The stream will eventually lead the pair to a clearing in the trees. A large enough of a clearing for something about the size of a football field from the real world, if it wasn't for the decent sized lake in the middle. The stream they followed up is fed by the run off from this lake and the lake is fed by another stream on the other side of its banks. The location would be a nice spot for a cottage of some kind if one were so inclined. When the pair came upon the clearing the view was incredible, the sun reflected off the lake causing it to sparkle, fish leaping from the waters creating ripples that traversed the whole surface, with a nice breeze blowing across the field. "Wow..." Lavinia utters at the view before she looked over at Ridley smiled and motioned for her to follow.
As Lavinia walked through the glass clearing to the lake she thought she might pick this location. It was near the beach, out of the way and beautiful. She bends over splashing the water in between her fingers, the cool water refreshing against her skin. Bad timing, as Lavinia slashes the water between her fingers the wind picks up, blowing a gust of wind right up her skirt giving Ridley a full view of her white and black striped panties. Her face turning bright red with embarassment she quickly brings her hands up to push her skirt back down, loses her balance and falls face first into the lake. Falling into the lake fixes her skirt, but now Lavinia is soaked to the bone. Pushing herself up from the water she stands and turns to Ridley, completely speechless and beat red.
