"Oh my goodness, I can see you from here you know!" Nala flailed a knife toward the three boys she could see through the kitchen door who were roughhousing in the other room. She loved them to pieces, but they were always fighting with each other; every time she looked over her shoulder someone had someone else in a headlock. At her flailing, she only received the response that she should be careful when wielding 'those big knives'. Puffing up her cheeks, she stuck her tongue out at the boys which actually did make them stop fighting long enough to crack up at her face instead, "It's gonna freeze like that if you aren't careful little sis!" Shaking her head, she just smiled and went back to her cooking. The boys usually insisted on bringing her back different things they find out fighting monsters together. She's tried getting them to bring her along, but every time they insist that the monster levels are too high for her.
Obviously that didn't stop her from going out on her own sometimes though. Being an enchanter made it hard on her to fight alone, but she never pushed her brothers to take her on their adventures too hard. It gave her a chance to run into other people sometimes too on her solo travels. There was the most adorable Person of the Land she ran into for instance, a little girl by the name of Marie. The two cooked a couple of simple things together, it was kind of dull though because their of them could brew a good drink, but fun either way.
"Randee, can you come here for a second?" A couple familiar snickers came from the other room as the older boys teased him about being in trouble now. Her first thought was that they were up to something again, probably throwing around a piece of furniture like a football. She couldn't count on her hands how many times they broke and/or messed up something in a day, sometimes she couldn't even do it when she added in her toes... okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but some days it seemed they were that bad! Turning around, she saw the youngest of them walk in and offered him a smile, "So, is it throwing things around or wrestling this time?" Randee grinned at his sister who knew them all too well and had the ears of, well, a fox- literally. "Sorry, both, we were throwing around some throw pillows then started wrestling over them. That's what they're for though! Throwing!" This sent Nala into a fit of giggles. "That's just what they're called, not what they're for! Anyway, can you reach up to get me the cups, they put them on the top shelf again." Chuckling at her shortness level, Randee did as asked and even set them up on the table. "Call them in as well, dinners almost done!"
Shooing him out of kitchen so she could hurry up with the meal, and not be distracted by him, Nala finished chopping up the vegetables and put them in the stew pot to soften with the nearly finished meat. Sighing happily, she was following after her brother in a few minutes to check up on the guys. She really wasn't surprised to find out they had gone right back to tackling each other and rolling over the floor. "Guuuuuys! I told you dinner would be ready soon!" Once her presence was noticed, they calmed down a bit with their rambunctious play fights to look at her, "Awe common little sis, we're just roughhousing a little bit, nothings broken! Yet." The last part was added as if it was an after thought. Rolling her eyes, she ran over and jumped on the pile of boys, dog piling all of them together. They were a strange, protective family, but they were stuck together like glue. The three snuggled her and scratched her fuzzy ears until she said uncle.
After getting up, the four raced one another to the kitchen, two actually picking up the faster Fox Tail so the third could win. "Cheeeats! You cheat so hard!" Laughing, they all went to get bowls to pour in their stew, "Naaaaw, you're just jealous one of us is actually faster than you!" Reaching over, Nala slapped the closest's arm before getting a bowl herself. "Rude!" Sitting back around the table, they got to chat of anything interesting that happened. Stabbing monsters in the face, leveling up a craft, finding a new ingredient to store, such things had worked into their every day lives since starting the game. It was strange how easily things had come along, how well they adjusted to the situation. Whenever Nala tried to think of it, the only thing she came up with was that they were dealing with it so well was that they were a family, having others there who will protect and care for one another. It made things easier to deal with. Easier to laugh around the dinner table.
