[attr="class","bi2"]FACE-CLAIM: ren kouen, MAGI THE LABYRINTH OF MAGIC [attr="class","bi2"]PLAYED BY: Zirnitra [attr="class","bi2"]FACTION: Adventurer [attr="class","h2"]Appearance [attr="class","b"]Note to self: When you make a character for a video game, putting the height to near max isn't always a good idea, like when you get stuck in a world with a body that is 7'2'', and there isn't any playable races of giants in the game. At least, he was smart enough to make the rest of his body proportional (unlike someone like Andrey the giant who got too big jazz hands), and to make sure that he had enough fat on his body so that wouldn't be cutting directly into the muscles. It also makes him look bigger in clothes even if his avatar isn't muscle bound, but just enough to look someone who wears heavy armour. Like a slightly less fit Captain America, making him weight 260 pounds. His sister didn't have much input on how his character was going to look (you can get me to play a game, but you can't take my freedom!), so he went wild making a character that was imposing and that depending on his act could either look like a noble warrior, or a magnificent bastard of a king who rules with high quality strategy. He made his hair red so that he would look fierce and like a blazing flame, and with blue eyes so that women could have something pretty and gently to look into. Wink wink, nudge nudge. His hair is long and wild, but he binds it up in a braid (probably the only suggestion of his sister that he took), to make sure it doesn't go in the way. His character also got facial hair on his chin to add that extra look of maturity and classiness. He wanted to go with a full beard, but that made his character look too hammy. He doesn't think much about clothes, other than having a cool looking armour that looks semi-realistic. Other people can dress him up if he needs to see some Lander of noble or royal origin. Here is how he looks in real life without his glasses. [attr="class","h3"]Personality [attr="class","b"] Although not a shy person, he spends a lot of time by himself working or doing leisure activities as he is often the happiest when he is in his own thoughts. That is not to say he dislike or is social inept, but just that he recharges when he is alone. When one first meet him he can appear very intimidating, being tall and having a deep and commanding voice. However, he is actually very friendly and helpful to most trying to see the best in all while not letting people exploit him. He is like an oldest brother in the truest sense of the word, being both loving but also able to tease and point out mistake in people like a sharp knife. If there is anything there could be considered his weakness is that he is very steadfast wanting to carry out his life and dreams with the carefulness of a charging rhino, and only doing the minimal preparation needed. He also very forgiving that some people think he doesn't like talking about the past, but people who have borrowed money from him surely knows this is not the case as he have been very adamant about them paying back. One of his reason for this is that his belief is that not paying back debts somehow makes you weak in the long run for some reason he is not good at explaining. He usually just write it off as part of the religion he is spreading in-game. [attr="class","h3"]History [attr="class","b"] Martin was born in England to a well-off family and had several siblings. His life went almost quickly by for him. Not because he didn't have a childhood, but because he always did something and was busy that nothing really stood out when compared to the other things. Well, almost so as school was always the time of the day when everything slowed down, and he began to be bored out of his mind. The only saving grace of the school was that he was allowed to study in the library some of the time instead of saying in the classes, which he used to his fullest so that he did not have to listen to people who (as he saw it), had never been out of school gone directly from school to being a teacher. His grades were all over the place, but high in the language areas as he did well in English and French classes. He didn't really have that many friends since he preferred being inside his own head, with a book, or in front of a computer (he had a decent one as he enjoyed making videos, and youtube material); he was more active with his siblings than with his peers. Not to say that he wasn't good looking (although he wasn't on the swimming team or any other sports team that would give him muscles and make him gar), but he came off as really boring to a lot of people with his nose always stuck in a book. He was into playing games but not really into Elder Tales before his sister got him into it, which had the added bonus of making her stop borrowing his computer to have a better frame rate since then they couldn't play together. Before he was sucked into the game, he was a university student studying nuclear engineering while doing video filming/editing on the side for cash, but he also had a proper job as a drink mixer in the weekend. [attr="class","h3"]Extra [attr="class","b"] •Martin is ambidextrous, but prefers to use his left hand to prevent to be artsy. Everything but the latter is a family trait, I guess? •When he first entered the game, Martin made sure to practice his speaking and voice so that he did not sound so boring like he did in real life. •The favourite of the sun, it was said that the demi-god Solan was raised to godhood for his big heart and actions of self-sacrifice by taking up arms to protect families and travellers from monsters. However, he did not carry everything on his own shoulders, but made sure to train other warriors as well forging an order of hedge knights called the Warriors of the Sun when he was still mortal. His effects warmed the metaphorical heart of the sun, who upon his dead saved him from disappearing into oblivion by raising him to godhood. Before the Novasphere Pioneers expansion, the Warriors of the Sun were a moderate sized NPC order with a few players joining for its perks and cool sun motive looking heralds. Then the Catastrophe happened, and the organisation was suddenly disbanded. Any players part of the organisation were kicked out and any in-progress quest lines were stopped. Now all that is left of the organisation is a few ruined abbeys near or inside the still standing cities, and any abbeys or statues anywhere else has been destroyed or deface by monsters. Still, memories of the order and their patron god is still in memory, which could enable adventures to restart the religion order by engaging in jolly cooperation with other adventures, and by protecting the people of the land. |

It consumes little MP and has the ability to remove negative status effects regardless of type, but higher skill ranks allow shorter casting times for this skill. Its effect is a pale blue light similar to that of Heal. The effectiveness of its cure effect may vary based on the level of the skill and the gap between the level of the user and the level of the monster which gave the status effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 10 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Martyr Spear: One of the cleric's few offensive options. This spell causes a spear of light to appear in the air above the cleric. After the spear is ready, the cleric points at a target. The spear will promptly head towards the target's position at a high velocity and strike the opponent with light-elemental damage. While this skill has a decently long range, it becomes naturally easier to dodge the farther away the opponent is. This skill has a casting time of 3 seconds and a cooldown time of 20 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Reactive Heal: The Cleric's starting restorative skill and regarded as the Cleric's signature skill. Unlike Heal that immediately restores hit points at once, Reactive Heal requires the target to receive damage to trigger this skill's effect. Reactive Heal's effectiveness in combat relies on the caster's level and the level of the skill itself, but it does not require the Cleric to focus on a single ally like in Heal, allowing the "Heal Walk" tactic to be employed. When activated, the ally becomes wrapped with a warm orange light as a visual effect. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown time of 15 seconds. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Heatsink: Blacksmiths are able to wear chain armor without penalties if they are normally unable to wear chain armor. They are able to wear plate armor without penalties if they are normally able to wear chain armor but not plate armor. Also a toggle skill. Through their skills at working around a forge, blacksmiths have developed a slight tolerance toward heat. They take reduced damage of 10% from fire-based attacks. [attr="class","skill"]Skill Name: Holy Aura: A skill that places holy protection upon the target, lasting for an entire hour. Characters affected by Holy Aura recover from Mind/Curse status effects twice as fast as usual. Additionally, Corruption from Miasma and Heretic skills will now start to decrease two cycles after exposure, instead of three. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds and a cooldown of 60 seconds. Recasting the skill causes its duration to reset. [attr="class","h3"]Equipment [attr="class","b2"] [attr="class","skill"]Armor: Starter Platemail: A basic set of plate armor made from cheap iron. They are not really too protective, but they are better than going naked—probably. You probably do want to replace these asap, when you think about it. [attr="class","skill"]Left Hand: Starter Spear: A starter weapon designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t hit particularly hard at all. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can. [attr="class","skill"]Right Hand: Starter Buckler: A starter shield designed for novice adventurers, made out of cheap iron and wood. It is well-balanced and easy to use but doesn’t really feel too sturdy. It is small enough to serve as an all-around defensive off-hand equip. You probably should get this replaced as soon as you can.
